This Catering is included in the category of Italian restaurant.
Excellent dinner. Took the chef's surprise an it was all delicious. Wish they could expand. It's small & close so a little noisy.
Bravo!! Dont go unless your hungry then say just feed me. You'll never go wrong making reservations at this authentic Italian restaurant.
This is by far our favorite place for Italian food. You can mention things you like or don't like, but generally its a "just feed us" experience and it's always delicious. The service is great and the people are so very nice and personable, like family by now. Owner Louie has a great selection of Italian wines, many of which are extremely hard to get anywhere in the world. The prices are reasonable, too.
Delicious cuisine with a casual and friendly atmosphere.
Food is like taking a trip to Italy.
Great place for pasta lovers. No menu, they just give you what they're cooking that day. All pasta is made in house
I can honestly say I have never liked a single lasagna in my life EXCEPT Salvatore's. So delicious. Impeccable, friendly services. The vela rosa is by far my favourite. An experience, not just a meal.
Never having been here before, we knew it was popular from when we drove by in the past. When we entered, Carol greeted us promptly and seated us. She gave us a rundown on how things worked here... it is basically a chef's tasting menu. The pasta is made to order was among the best we've ever had. The veal was delicious and the beef ravioli I could have eaten a full plate of.. We would definitely recommend it for the focaccia bread on its own!
What a great little place to eat! As others have already stated, the food is really good, the service is attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is quaint. Family style dining is a fun change of pace. The bread was fresh, the salad was tasty, and the pasta tasted really good. Way better than anything locally. Price was a little on the high side but I would still go again.
Salvatore's is, by far, the best Italian restaurant in the Sarnia area. The people who work there are friendly and the food is phenomenal!!
Oh my goodness! What a great little eatery! The pastas and sauces are all made from scratch and everything we ordered was absolutely DELICIOUS! The tirimisu is made fresh there too! YUM! We couldn't wait to eat our food so this is all there was left to show! BRAVO!! You've got to try this place!!
Set menu and portions are just too huge. Taste was ok but I am still giving 5 stars as for a small town restaurant, they still rocked it.
Great food and homemade.
GREAT HOMEY PLACE. AMAZINGLY FRIENDLY STAFF. I HAD TAKE OUT THIS TIME. LOOKING FORWARD TO YOU OPENING AND A DINNER IN. THANK YOU.
Absolutely delicious
What can I say amazing!!!
Great food. Great service. Great everything. You need to come here and let them feed you.
Fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere, and friendly service. Very interesting in that there are no menus, they ask about allergies and preferences, then make you a fresh, custom meal
Great food always, super friendly staff and owner.
Delicious family style food. Small intimate environment with friendly staff. Definitely a go to place for Italian cuisine.
Fabulous Pasta and Service, a hidden gem
Delicious!!!!!!!!
I just held a wedding lunch for 20 guests at Salvatore's. As a frazzled bride, I failed to confirm the reservation and details as I had promised. And yet we all arrived, unannounced, to the most gracious, welcoming and hospitable hosts you could possibly imagine. It was as if it had been planned to the smallest detail. The food - which included delicious warm bread and housemade oil, a lovely salad, gorgeous garlic bread and bruscetta, simply magnificent homemade pasta that reminds me of the pasta I have had in Genoa, and glorious chicken with green beans - was truly beyond my hopes and expectations.
The food is always savory, flavorful and heavenly. It is hard to choose what you want everything on the menu is so good! You can also take home their pastas and sauces to eat that night or freeze for later.
Have been going to this restaurant this they first opened in the 1990s. Still my favourite place to go for homemade Italian!
Awesome food
Great food, great service and reasonable prices
Fresh all you can eat salad, foccacia bread and pasta made from scratch. Soooo good!!! A little pricey, but well worth it. My only complaint is that there is never any room left for dessert???????? Very limited seating, so highly suggest you make reservations.
Fabulous as usual!
Great home made Italian food, worth going back for.
Amazing Itilian food. Not much to look at and pretty basic inside. Don't go here for the ambiance. Definately go here for the food and service. This place was very unique. When you sit down, you are asked what you want. No menu is provided so you have to come up with an Itialian dish. Or do as we did. With a table of 6, let them choose. Brought out all kinds of great things to eat for the entire table. So much food ! It was all very good. Warning, they gave us bread and oil at the start of the meal. I think they must have got the oil from a Mexican place near by. Wow, was it hot. I didnt like that at all. Must have ghost peppers of something like that in it.
we came for dinner and our server brought over lots of bread to start and checked to see that no one had an allergy. She brought several dishes of pasta, fish and pork dishes and huge salads to start. we were very full and had to bring leftovers home. It is a fixed price and the restaurant is quaint but no ambience or atmoshere of an Italien restaurant. Our server, Carol, did an excellent job. the wine was excellent too. The restaurant is quite cosey because of its size but you really come for the great food!
Amazing people, amazing food!!!!
Amazing!
Amazing food - great service from anyone except the older blond lady. You better hope she's not having a rough day. But the food is always epic.
Reminded me of the home cooked Italian meals long ago
Now this is a Unique dining experience I must say. They have fresh pastas but for not have a menu. Which is fine except I had a hard time figuring out what they do offer ? The Owner's husband waits on tables and first approached us for a drink we would like. So ordered wine . Then again I asked what they have . He said lets first get some bread on the table. Well ok out came a nice basket of bread . Once again I asked so what Pastas do you have ? No answer. Out came 2 salads, my husband doesn't eat salad so I told him he could take it back. What no rabbit food for you? Was his reply. So all this comment and I still don't know what we will be eating for dinner but we are beyond committed at this point since we have wine, bread and salad. Ha ha. Finally he said well I will just give you our Signature Pasta , well ok then I thought . Which it was good. Anyway for a place that doesn't have a menu he should be better prepared to offer a list of what do offer. I suppose for locals and frequent visitors who already know what they make , they can get away with this sort of set-up but for the Traveller it is a tad confusing when not told their pastas they serve upon arrival . So if you are not going to give a menu you had better start talking quicker and spit out what you do have to eat ! I know this is supposed to be based on an authentic roadside Italian Restaurant in Italy which is a cool concept , but a little more class should be taken when approaching customers. Also should dress accordingly , baggy jeans and an over sized t shirt untucked and hanging over the gut is not nice apparel for dining in an Italian Restaurant . Nice black slacks with a crisp white shirt would be more apppropriate for the atmosphere you are trying to achieve. The locals know him so lucky this works for them with I think 27 years in business, however for the Newcomer we were getting quite a chuckle out of our experience . So kudos for them as they certainly provided a truly unique experience we will remember . The wine and food was good though, the rest was questionable. I say go ahead and try it , its a hoot.
I have never personally found most Italian food to be my favourite and so checking out Salvatore's has never been high on my priority to try. That being said my wife wanted to try it tonight for her birthday dinner so upon her request and the recommendations of many people we gave it a shot. First impression walking in the door is that they haven't put very much effort in keeping up any sort of modern decor. The decor is somewhat a late 80's feel. Pretty plain looking decor in general. We were given a rather unenthusiastic greeting by generally pleasant lady who sat us and gave us the rundown of how service was carried out at Salvatores. Dinner is basically a prix fix style, and served family style which is pleasantly unique for Sarnia. We began with some very fresh homemade bread which was quite good though simply served in basket with a paper napkin. We then received a very basic leaf lettuce salad with a red wine vinaigrette, and a single wedge of tomato. The dressing was great, the lettuce was slightly wilted and some pieces were somewhat rotten Following that was a plate of garlic bread and bruschetta both of which were tasty enough, the bruschetta was very basic and a much lighter flavour than I generally prefer. The next course was the pasta, there was a generous portion of angel hair pasta in a garlic oil sauce, a meat cannelloni which tasted alright but the meat had a pureed texture not far off of a chef boyardee ravioli that I didn't think was too great. There was a cheese "medallion" which seemed to consist of Ricotta and other cheeses. This was quite good. Following the pasta came the entree veal parmigiana, breaded chicken with tomato sauce and a few marinated green beans. All of the entrees were flavourful moist and tender. We finished with a couple desserts this was the least enjoyable aspect of the evening. Being that they boast house made pastas and sauces I assumed they made their own desserts. I love a good Tiramisu so I ordered that, and my wife had the "snickers" cheesecake. The desserts are frozen desserts thawed and served. The cheesecake was nice, the tiramisu however was simply the worst I had ever had, it had absolutely no coffee flavour and was made up of dry spongecake rather that soaked ladyfingers, and what should have been a rich Marscapone custard was a whipped topping type filling. In the end the meal was nice, but I feel that they could stand to improve on the decor and ambiance, it is a very small place and would not be hard or costly to improve. Nicer washrooms ought to be first on the list. The washrooms were along the lines of a gas station restroom. Some table linens rather than paper napkins, a few candles and some dimmer lighting would be a great addition. Making a better tiramisu would leave a better last impression as well.
Always great to see Louis and the food is always incredible! Feels like family every time we are there
Great food and lots of it. The best part of Salvatore's is the family that owns and operates it. They are kind, fun loving and GREAT cooks. I love this place.
Always fresh and delicious!!
Take out
Very Unique dining experience! They told us what they would be serving and was a little apprehensive about that at first...as the courses came out I was more impressed every time! Bruschetta was delicious and the main courses with Fettuccine Alfredo, Garlic Angel Hair & Cappaletti, Chicken & Veal was soooo good! When I am in Sarnia on my next visit I will be returning and recommed to all Italian food lovers!
Thanks Louie and Antonietta! Great meeting you both and thanks for the delicious food. I have finally incorporated the jar of tomato sauce in my last meal and it raised a lot of eyebrows. Wasn't salty, fresh tomato taste and could hold it's own without adding garlic and Italian seasoning. Will return in the summer.
Great food and friendly staff. Very reasonably priced and always great value for family or couples dining.
The best...

Their food is made from scratch, is delicious and plentiful! Our go to place for special occasions.
Always a good meal
awesome food
Not as good as it was a while back. The pasta did not taste or feel home made. The service was ok but not real friendly. The price seems a bit high for the quality.
Wonderful little restaurant with amazing food.
Incredibly delicious and could very well be the best Italian food I've ever had. Our server was wonderful, helpful and entertaining. I highly recommend.
One of the best places to go and eat in sarnia
Fun place with amazing fresh food. No frozen or microwaved food here. Highly recommend for anyone and everyone.
First time at this restaurant and the food was delicious. I had the meat lasagna. Portion size was large, made 2 meals for me. The price of the food was very reasonable. The restaurant was clean and quaint. Highly recommend this restaurant!
VERY impressed!!!! So good, very reasonable price and very friendly staff!! Highly recommend :)
Love Salvatore's. They are very accommodating of food allergies. And they have the best gluten free pasta I e ever eaten.
I had over 100 looks initially however I felt I needed to add to my review.Just make sure you have an appetite. One price for a table full of Italian specialties. Was fortunate enough to be in Sarnia for a visit from Vancouver. I've eaten all over the world. I was impressed.Cozy, no frills Italian. Great price.Martin Scorsese would be right at home.
Hands down the best pasta in Sarnia or for that fact maybe even Ontario. Definitely best to come with a group of at least 3 because of how good everything is you won't be able to try a lot of them with only two plates of stuff.
Friday seafood pasta is delicious!
Tons of great food. We liked the family style concept too.
Worth the drive to Sarnia! Great service and amazing food.
Awesome. Service is amazing. Fairly priced and delicious. If they expanded the physical size they could do so much more business I'm sure but it would lose some charm. Very highly recommended!
Very good place to eat
Great food
Best pasta in town! Always friendly service. If you have never been before I suggest you check it out.
Have been there many, many times over the years and its always been a great experience
Service
Best lasagna!! Very friendly people!!
Great food. ! Menu changes daily !
Great lasagna. And good service
The only place to go for fresh pasta!
Great Italian food
Point Edwards hidden gem...this is an amazing restaurant with great family service. The food is incredible and you will not leave hungry
Excellent food. A great experience.
Good food...good service...everything's home made but alittle bland for me
Authentic. Just go in and when the lady comes to your table, all you do is say Please feed us. Wear your stretchy pants.
Wow wow and wow. Best Italian ever!! Listen I'm not an Italian food guy but I was impressed. Food tasted great, family service was better. Got to go!!
Excellent reception from everyone, great recommendations about wine, beer, and food. Left extremely satisfied, will be back.
Mmmm love the food here!!
The absolute best! The atmosphere is priceless. LOVE, LOVE,LOVE
We came during lunch, so I guess it's a different style than dinner- we were given menus to choose from. The $10 antipasto felt like a rip off... looked like grocery store deli and a couple bites of pickled vegetables. On the other hand, the Philly sandwich was okay and meat ravioli with pesto was quite delicious. Would probably come back but just for the pasta!
Home cooked Italian dinner that is amazing. Great experience when COVID is over.
We ordered takeout for our dinner and everything was packaged wonderfully. The meal was fantastic! Bruschetta, salad, Vela Rosa, angel hair, lasagna, chicken, beans - absolutely delicious! Missed being at the restaurant but definitely the next best thing! Highly recommend.
Awesome Italian food
Best italian food in Sarnia area. Service is amazing and you will not leave here hungry.
Food was great as always.
Great place good prices / lots of food . Great owners????
Food is amazing! You won't leave hungry!!
Awesome dinner tonight with work folks.
We had salad, bruschetta, ravioli, cannelloni, chicken, garlic and oil pasta with fresh tomatoes. Not sure if they have a menu. We just let them bring a selection. Food is wonderful. It is served family-style.
Awesome food and service
Who knew we would find such fresh and flavorful food under the bridge near the water? It is a carry out with limited seating. It is a plain setting but the food is not. Everything is homemade from the bread to the soup to the pasta and salad dressing. The beverages appear in cans. The wash rooms are tiny. But the service is friendly. The chicken Parmesan sandwiches and fettuccine with meat sauce were amazing at lunch. Pick up carry out and eat at the park nearby.
Service is really good. Pasta is fantastic! Cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend.
So good I don't want you to know about it
This place has the BEST Lasagna in the WORLD!!!
Salvatore's is in my Top 5 restaurants in Lambton-County. I love going there for lunch and for dinner. You'll never have a bad meal there and I highly recommend it if you're a fan of authentic Italian!
Great food, great staff. My favorite place to eat I'm Sarnia.
Great food. Highly recommend 4 pasta platter
The top one in the Sarnia. Had been there few times. Traditional Italian restaurant and the cook the delicious food there. No menu. Just what the prepare as daily. Chicken breast meat is so tender and juice. U will never forget the first bite.
Loved the food. Staff very friendly.
Great Italian food
Great service and incredible food.
The food is fairly ok, the service is exceptional, the premises are older but clean. There's no menu, which gives an exciting surprise factor to the visit. Also, bring an empty stomach, you'll need it
Omg!!! You have to try this place!!! 5 stars doesn't do it justice
You get what they serve. No menu, they bring out meals, you eat and leave. Not the best Italian I've had but it is an experience and a local institution. Very fast service and you'll be out in an hour.
Best place to eat ever. Food is fantastic and the service is awesome. We go every year for our anniversary
Solid brew pub with an awesome burger truck beside it. Amazing service. A Sarnia treat.
If you step in the appetite is already gone !
Came here with family during a hockey tournament early this year. Service was great, food even better. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to try it! Make sure to bring home a bottle of their Arabbiatta Olio, too. It’s personally the greatest oil I’ve ever used on anything!
Down to earth family restaurant. Great pasta, people coming in for pickup, locals.
Amazing food great owners
Just go in and say "Feed me"
One of my fav classic Italian restaurants!
Quality
We loved this place, from the service to the bread , salad and the pasta. Food is simple but oh, so flavorful. They angel hair pasta looks so light but is so full of flavor. Was my fav. One of my sons loved the lasagna, the other the meat ravioli and my husband the lighter tomato sauce cheese Ravioli. Something for everyone. If you go at lunch time suggest still trying their pasta sampler tray they have for dinner. Is amazing!
Great restaurant for large groups. Food comes out family style. Theres vegetarian options available too. Lots of food, noone leaves hungry! Dessert was good, tried the chocolate explosion cake and it was delicious.
Dinner
Amazing family style - the freshest pasta I’ve ever had and wonderful people. Thanks for being you.
Best pasta in Sarnia hands down
Best lasagna you can buy
Meal type
My favourite Sarnia Restaurant
The building is surrounded by signs that threaten to find customers money and customers of neighbours businesses money. Do you really think that you're going to gain customers by threatening them?
Food was good...service wasn't great
Amazing!
Soooooooo YUMMY
Great meal, awesome service. Hoping to get back there soon. Thanks.
(Translated) Everything !!! YoM YOM YoM (Original) Everything!!! YoM YOM YoM
OMG - This is place is GREAT! The food was excellent and plentiful! The server was very friendly and attentive to our needs. They serve family style and everything including the pasta is made fresh. I Highly recommend this restaurant!
Yum! Put your palate in their hands. Real Italian family style dinner. No menu here.. you really don't need one.
Awesome food and people!
The only option was take out due to the COVID-19 rates in the province. As for the food and service, both were fine. Pickup was efficient and the helper's, helpful.
Best Italian food ever. Family serving bowls adds to feel of togetherness. Service was attentive and courteous; of course, she was Canadian.
Fantastic food, and amazing service. A must visit spot. Authentic Italian restaurant with family style service, hard to find better!
Excellent Italian food. Be sure to go hungry.
Great pasta
Fantastic food fantastic staff. HUGE meal. From the moment you arrive to the aroma of fresh baked warm breads and garlic butter, tonenjoying your last bite, Louie and Antoinette and staff will amaze you with authentic Italian home cooking. No menu, just sit back and enjoy what they cook for you! We will return many more times!
Great service, no menu so you take a chance on what you get. Food was good.
Delicious food, nice atmosphere, and great service. Entrees are served family style and there is no formal menu. All items cooked from scratch in house.
waow what a wonderful hole in the wall. amazing service. absolutely wonderful fresh made pasta and other dishes. great wine. great suggestions. so good. will be back. prices are a lil lower than i was expecting and the quality was much higher. clean, cozy, and romantic. can't wait to go back.
Top not Italian food!
We picked up some fresh pasta (angel hair and meat ravioli) with some pomodoro to cook at home. It was all delicious. Really nice customer service too.
Seemed like a nice place though pricey. They were closing when we arrived but offered to serve us anyway. We moved on.
We come from Belle River once-a-year - awesome food and great staff. A must go to restaurant when you are in Sarnia!
We enjoy this quaint little gem under the blue water bridge in Sania. It's like a box of chocolates! You never know what you're gonna get! But it's always amazing! And the price is responsible! We traveled an hr. To have a great meal with friends .
Excellent dining experience. Treated like family.
Amazing service and even better food!
Excellent food and service back again soon
Fresh pasta, homemade sauce, juicy chicken, fresh seafood, and incredible service. What's not to love about this place?
Awesome place. You let them know what you like and don't like, and they bring you food. Excellent hidden restaurant!
Love their veal with mozzarella!
