I had read an article in the paper raving about Dolly's food....so I had to try it. I ordered 2 chicken roti. She rolled the dough and cooked it on a flat cast iron pan and freshly heated up her chicken curry. The curry was perfectly seasoned...not too hot but just spicy enough. Her Roti is different than Jamaican roti I've had on many occasions, as it had very little potato and ALL meat. I would say it was the best Roti I have ever had!!! Now it was not inexpensive but a fair price for the quality. If you want a taste of the Caribbean then head to Dolly's.

Although it Doesn't taste like jerk to me at all. No bonnet heat no allspice flavors more just sweet and savory. Although not what I expected I will say it tasted like some of the absolute best BBQ chicken I've ever had. Tender and moist perfection.

It is a warm, welcoming environment with authentic and hearty delicious foods. As an added perk you get to watch Dolly cook as everything is mostly made to order. Well worth it! Would recommend the roti and patties.

The curry chicken roti was phenomenal! As soon as you open the door, you're practically standing in the kitchen; it's an interesting sight indeed. Everything is freshly prepared right in front of you and you can see the entire process from start to finish. The joint is barely bigger than a food truck, so there isn't any indoor seating. Although, there is a single picnic table next to the front sidewalk. You'll quickly forget about the lack of a dining space once you taste the food.

This is probably the best Jamaican restaurant this side of Toronto. I don't remember what I had, but it involved Jamaican patties and jerk chicken and it was delicious! The only thing to be aware of is that I didn't find the food we ordered to be super spicy like you'd expect when you're eating Jamaican. That's ok though as I think the mild spiciness will make this place more accessable to people who aren't big fans of spicy food.

The food was off the chain under Dolly's name! The flavours caused me to almost eat the bones from the jerk chicken. It was my first time in Sarnia, Ontario Canada and the first time ordering food here. Plus, I was served my meal in my car. Can you believe that? She even put a mint in my bag so that my breath, well except for the mask, doesn't smell of food.

My first time trying Dolly's. Food was amazing, and not too spicy. Had the jerk chicken, with rice and coleslaw. The sauce they give was very tasty on the rice. The only issue I had was I was missing a pop. Which I don't hold any grudge for, as they just started using skip the dishes. Food is worth buying. ????????

Let's be real. The food in Sarnia is lacking, so when I drove my this place for the first time, my nose lead me to the door. The smells that waft on to the street make your taste buds beg for flavour, and Dolly's delivers! Honestly some of the best damn food I have had. More people need to come here, support local and give your tastebuds the flavours they need in their lives. 10/10 will go back forever.

This is literally the best Jerk chicken me and my family ever tried, my husband eats at least 2 times a week jerk chicken from a store close to us in niagara falls when we were in vacation in Sarnia we tried Dolly's Jerk Joint we were amazed with the flavors really the best i ever tried and it was the mildest in term if heat and spices even my 3 year old enjoyed it and loved it and we also tried the jerk chicken quasadilla wow i cannot tell you enough how yummy and really special it with all the flavors , i highly recommend trying it and you will get hooked on ????????????????????

First time trying Dolly's. Wow , I've been missing out on this gem of a restaurant! Ordered the check chicken wrap and it was amazing! Perfectly spiced and seasoned chicken mixture, and the wraps she uses are homemade and quite possibly the beat I've ever had! I highly recommend and will be back soon to try other dishes.

The handmade beef patties were huge and delicious, so flakey! The dinner meal portions were a bit small but the flavours were on point. We got jerk chicken, rice and peas (pigeon peas not red kidney beans) and coleslaw. Dolly puts so much love and care in her food and you can taste it.

I could talk about how good the Chicken is, which is true. Or I could talk about how amazing the Jamaican Patties are, which is also true. But I want to talk about the thing I consistently get that blows me away. Dolly's soup. Pumpkin, corn, seafood, chicken vegetable and all the others I've had all give Soup's Up a run for their money. I make it a point to eat her regularly, and so should you.

Everyone was so friendly and the food was so fresh! Pictured here is the Curry Chicken Roti. This was absolutely amazing. So much flavour, chunks of chicken, and the Roti. I mean wow! Watching this made fresh in front of me was incredible. Roti is a soft, thin, flatbread cooked on a flat cast-iron pot called a Tawa. I also enjoyed a Jamaican Beef Patty. It was perfection! Made in-house, stuffed with meat, and the perfect amount of spice to heat ratio. This is a must try location. Make sure you check it out.

When I come to Sarnia, Dolly's is my go to. Her jerk chicken, and curry chicken are amazing. When you step into her joint the music puts you in the Caribbean mood for that round trip to flavour town! If you come to Sarnia and don't eat here, you are missing out.

Visited Sarnia for work and decided to try this place (I always prefer supporting local) . I ordered the jerk chicken dinner (jerk chicken, rice, coleslaw). Individually, the parts of the meal were just "OK" (OK, the sauce was really good), but putting them altogether and... BAM! The combination of flavours was fantastic! The chicken was falling off the bone tender. One of the best jerk chicken I've had. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood.

Place is pretty good...definitely not authentic but still tasty in their own way... Little overpriced IMO....chicken breast wrap is pretty dynamite when paired with fries from Macdonalds since he doesnt have potatoes and the lamb shank was super tender but the dill rice was not my cup of tea.

my partner and i were in sarnia for the week with our newborn. one night we decided to support a local restaurant business, and eventually settled on dolly’s (gotta support Black businesses when i can). by no means was this the best caribbean food i’ve ever had, but the surprise of eating caribbean food in sarnia really elevated the experience for me. i appreciated that the patties were made from scratch. the chicken roti was the standout dish by far. the jerk pork was on the dry side for me, but the flavour was there. if you’re in sarnia and have a hankering for some caribbean food then dolly’s is your place.

I went to this spot today what a great place. Clean friendly and delicious. I asked about some of the more traditional Caribbean fares she told me she could whip them up with a day or so of notice. If you go don't forget to pick up some of she home made hot sauce I don't think you could find better.

First time ordering as we are from out of town .. craving a rhoti .. oh my I have to say we were highly impressed everything was delicious we couldn't get it infast enough ..my grandson had the jerk chicken with rice he gives Dolly a 10 star ..not sure what the little container of sauce is but we all could have drank it yumaliscous lol.. will definitely be back it was a lovely drive and we'll worth it .. highly recommend Dolly if you are in Sarnia

Dollys is amazing! You can tell she puts her heart and soul into this food and it pays off. The Jamaican Patties are DELICIOUS and Dolly is great at what she does. Very polite, respectful, and very honest. She has built an amazing thing and everyone needs to try the food! Go here and order a large Jerk Chicken wrap, you won’t be disappointed. I attended a small event that served Dolly’s food as the meal.... jerk chicken, rice, meat patties and coleslaw.... everything was wonderful and all the attendees loved it and could not stop commenting on it.... this was my first time eating Dolly’s cooking but will definitely not be my last.... can hardly wait to go back to Sarnia to get some!!! Dolly's JJ offers a specific list of Jamaican style foods. It's a small takeout only restaurant. This increases the variety of ethnic foods available in Sarnia. Her food is freshly made with ingredients she is chopping/mixing as she is getting other orders done and on their way. She is a very busy person. The quality of the food is very good and it tastes authentic. I believe she is going to need to expand her business.
