You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is quite good, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the assessment is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their opinion when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to write scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Catering is classified in the category of Restaurant.
Hippie tax. Food is mediocre quality but ridiculously expensive. Service is very slow. It took about 30 minutes just to order a panini and bottled water.
Great food ! And service at the counter
Such a delicious place for brunch! Had the egg Benedict and chicken and waffles both super amazing. And the Ceasars are soo great come with a perogy! The service is really wonderful and great atmosphere. Def a reccomend place.
Great food, friendly staff and a picturesque dining room
Nice setting for brunch
Meal type
Even though it is a difficult time to enjoy a meal out of the house, The Glass House has absolutely nailed “ Supper Club “ I would strongly recommend giving it a shot for the next date night
Ate here on a Friday night following massages downstairs. On Fridays, you can choose from a 3-course set menu or the regular menu. I think they do themselves a disservice by the way they word their menu - it's hard to get a sense of what things really are, which is a shame because the food is quite good, making you say "Oh, THAT'S what they meant" when the food actually comes. The celery salad was absolutely to die for, and that's saying something because I'm not a huge fan of salad. There were a few temperature inconsistencies both among plates and even between different components on the same plate, and service was slow, especially given the small number of people there ... but the last point is not necessarily a knock, because we weren't in a hurry. If you want MacDonald's speed ... go to MacDonald's. So, overall, a good authentic dining experience with real food that didn't come from a package. Come on, St Albert: support your local fine dining.
Great brunch. Gorgeous location... Have been there several times in the past, but hadn't been since they've re opened. Looks great, and the food was fantastic. Best view in St Albert, hands down.
BOOM! Glasshouse is back in action and the food is awesome (I had the salmon last night). My wife and I are brining the kids for brunch, the next time we go. Love the open atmosphere...couple that with a proven chef = great experience.
Bright venue and beautiful views. Food was excellent, especially the starters!
Different and quite place to meet with friends and have conversations
I love coming here to write. Loads of natural light, green plants as well as yummy tea and gluten free muffins.
Waited 15 minutes to be seated. Then sat for 15 minutes without anybody helping us. Couple came 5 minutes after us and was taken drink order. When we asked to take drink order we were ignored so we left
Love the environment but the prices are high.
Glasshouse restaurant closed quite a while ago to be replaced by a food counter, leaving the old restaurant sitting area as a self serve cafeteria. The food is expensive, with minimal service. I purchased a vegetable panini for 9$ that could not be warmed up as they did not want to use the sandwich press for some unknown reason. Cold sandwich quickly lost it's appeal. Latté was good, cost another 7$. Long line to pay, with only 2 cash registers. I really miss the old restaurant, that had an amazing and original menu. Really hope someone takes the initiative to bring the concept back one day.
Been a favourite spot to eat but the customer service has always been so up and down based on owners and servers. Took food to go this time and we were missing part of the order and the chicken club we asked for no sauce and it was loaded with sauce and the chicken was extra charred which my daughter barely touched. Should have checked the order before leaving because once home you really don’t want to drive back.
We do not come to the Glass House Bistro Cafe very much and based on today we won’t be coming back even that infrequently. The staff was friendly but the selection of offerings and the price was not. To pay nine dollars for a muffin and a small vanilla latte is a bit too much. There was only three choices in muffins and only one other food item when I directly asked. Sad.
We LOVE this restaurant. It has such a cool vibe, especially at night with all the patio style lighting. We’ve been numerous times, with the family and on date nights. Our kids just love it! The food is outstanding. The prices are set perfectly along with the portion size. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu and loved it all. Service was excellent as well. Please be open again soon, we miss you already. We’re dreaming about the Crispy Cauliflower, the Brisket as well as the brunch food. 5 STAR ALL THE WAY!!!!
A beautiful well stocked garden center with an excellent restaurant, brunch was wonderful.
Looks amazing! Would be great date place. Food selection was good and my ahi tuna bowl was great. Lost a star for three minor reasons. 1 The place needs music. 2 The place is a green house so they regulate the temperature with large venting windows that sound like nails on a chalkboard. 3 They need to pay closer attention or cleaning by the window sills. (Recommend sitting on the inside not by the wjndows)
Really loved the bread pudding
Beautiful atrim glass house style setting. Nice coffees and snacks although service can be a hit or a miss. The restaurant almost always needs reservations for the sunday brunch. Snacks and small meals available at the walk up bar. The relaxing setting makes this place worth the the visit.
I ate here twice for brunch and my experiance varied but the good service and view hasn't changed. First time here was in May 2018. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with drip coffee and it was so delicious and fresh. The quality was higher than some other places I've ate brunch at. Second time here was in August and brought my friends with me... big mistake. I ordered the same dish with coffee but this time the food turned out bland and overpowered by the sauce, also my eggs weren't runny I had to ask them to remake it and the meat seemed overcooked. We also had wasps swarm around us. Here is what my friends ordered from the menu: MARKET BREAKFAST - overcooked potatoes and meat, pretty bland BELGIAN WAFFLE - tasty but too sweet LAYERED FRENCH TOAST - soggy with a weird flavour EGGS BENEDICT - eggs are hardboiled, overcooked meat and potatoes.
This was my favourite place to go. The Rose London Fog is the most delicious that I have had. The service at the Glasshouse Kitchen is superb.
My partner and I ate here a number of times during Covid. They had a weekly supper club take away option that was excellent. The food was amazing and it was such a great deal. Once the restaurant opened up to in-person dining, we've been back numerous times. The food is amazing, the atmosphere and the view are stunning, and it's such a great local restaurant to enjoy. We highly recommend getting the carrot cake if it's on the menu. It was the BEST cake we've ever had!
Wow! We went there for brunch and the food and ambience is amazing! Don't miss this St.Albert Gem! Looking out over the lake in a greenhouse .... Wow!
Had lunch at the Glass House Bistro today. First Its now cafeteria style we had to even get our own water. And I had the chicken sandwich which the chicken was over cooked I couldn't even cut it with a knife. This place use to be awesome gone way down hill. I'm very disappointed will never go back. To bad for St Albert
Always great! Great service, super clean and bright. Good views into Lois hole park
Food is overpriced for what you get.
We are sitting here waiting 45m after ordering the food and still not got it. Other people who ordered after us got served. Terrible. Don't eat here. Also 15m before anyone turned up to take our order.
Meal type
Went for the grand reopening of the restaurant on a Friday night. Food was awesome, drink menu was ???? and the staff were genuinely wonderful. If you want to eat a good meal in a superb atmosphere, it's worth checking out.
Fresh menu and exceptional ambiance in the glass room! Had the farmers plate. It was wonderful. Save room for espresso, it's divine here. Great brunch spot.
Dinner
Aside from being a large nursery, the center, which is open plan as well, houses a health and beauty wellness center/spa, organic and natural food store and deli offering products from small and local farms, a hip gardening supply store, swank bar area, euro style coffee bar and other cool stuff. More stuff is in the works.
My mom and I went for lunch and had the braised chicken sandwich which had way too much rosemary spice. My mom got tea, and a spoon and saucer was not offered.
Really great spot for brunch. Loved the food and the service from Chelsea was the best I've had in awhile! Do think they should make some green changes such as getting rid of plastic straws and getting a QR code! But overall great experience!
No tables available as they were all roped of for an event the day before. The kitchen was closed but they didnt mention it until you waited in line for 20 minutes to order. What was available was ridiculously overpriced
We came for lunch and the food came out really fast. Amazing views.
Dine in
We dined there this summer for the first time in several years, and enjoyed it sooo much that we have been there for dinner three times since the beginning of August. We also brought our staff one evening and they were able to provide great service and wonderful food even with large group of 14. The patio is great on a nice day and patio lights are a nice touch at night..... the interior has also been updated with a modern rustic feel. So far, we have tried the variety slider trio, green goddess salad, ginger glazed salmon, spicy crispy cauliflower, and roasted half chicken... all so good! Going to spread this review because we think people need to experience the new chef at Glasshouse Kitchen for themselves. :-)
Delicious food, some items could have been fresher (Sandwich buns being hard) but the Morroccan ChickPea Stew was delicious! Beautiful dining room
Dine in
We were at the Glass House for a Christmas event and the evening was fabulous! Great atmosphere, food and service. We highly recommend it.
Good sandwiches and drinks. A little expensive but it suits it's environment.
First off, I like how Adam, the owner of this bistro shows concern with the comments both good and bad regarding people's experiences. My third time at the greenhouse ( very nice ) and first time at the bistro today was dissapointing. Fries came with the meals we ordered and they obviously we're sitting in the deep fryer too long or the oil was too old. I tried them and none of us could get over how a nice place like this bistro in a beautiful green house would serve this to a customer. My reviews are rarely negative, but the girls we explained this to seemed like they didn't really care much, one said she spoke to the cook and offered me a cookie, the other just kind of stared. I'm not one to go once and give a bad review. I will try again another day, I like the view and atmosphere the serve yourself idea and cleanliness. Cheers Adam, good cooks are hard to find haha.
The worst experience I've had to date. We arrive on a Friday night and it is empty, maybe 2 tables are being used. We stand at the front desk for a while waiting for one of their 5 staff members standing around to acknowledge us because the front desk lady is on the phone. Then we get asked if we have a reservation which we did and showed them, and they can't find it and question us about it instead of just give us a table. My husband was really ticked about that. Anyway, we ordered the bruschetta which we used to love, but this time it was absolutely disgusting. We've had better ones at pubs honestly. We were so hungry we tried to eat it but a third of the way we couldn't anymore. The overpowering taste of the onions, this was 2/3 onion, 1/3 soggy tomatoes. Then we were told it was made that day but sat in the cooler all day. For $13 i would expect it ti at least be put toguether before serving. And parsley? who replaces basil with parsley in bruschetta?? our meals were meh, not the quality and taste you would expect for the price. Portions were very very small, the smallest piece of salmon I've had and no seasoning or taste whatsoever. Anyway, at the end we had to pay for the entire bill, the chef/manager was very defensively when we sent the bruschetta back and told us there was nothing wrong with it. We didn't argue about paying, because it wasn't about the money. But after I paid I told him how we felt about the whole experience and with a sarcastic smile on his face he just kept sorry, yeah sorry. Definitely won't be going back. A shame because we used to love that place :(
In my opinion the best place from food to location and atmosphere. This is my third time here for lunch and dinner and the food was amazing; Nour our server was very polite and nailed her recommendations on the spot every time. Thank you for your kind service Nour. looking forward to seeing you guys again.
We love the Glasshouse Kitchen for a quiet night with great food, attentive and friendly service, and a casual but comfortable environment. A hidden gem in the northwest Edmonton / St. Albert area. Hannah served us this evening and was very friendly and approachable, and we had a great interaction with her. Thank you!
Brunch at the Glasshouse Bistro used to be an exceptional experience. Today we again visited the restaurant for brunch. We were extremely disappointed with our meal. The bacon was the same as one received in the “run-of-the-mill” restaurants - thin, not the thick pieces previously enjoyed. The white bread was not like the choices we previously had. The potatoes, ... well, they could not be eaten by some. The “glass house” though is an exceptional facility. I hope that the quality of the brunch can, in the future, be extended to the whole experience.
We had such a delicious lunch as a family, our little guy loved his kids burger and the kale salad was delicious! Thank you Nour for the fabulous service, we will be back!!!
What a great place to meet a friend for lunch! Delicious food and great service!
Glasshouse has a wonderful atmosphere and the food is fantastic. Service was slow but our waitress was friendly and gave great recommendations. Will be back!
Absolutely an amazing restaurant and coffee shop ! I have a toddler and they customized healthy option for my kid 5+ stars !
Love the place! If you love gardening this is the place to come. Theirs a cafe where you can sit and relax while shopping. Beautiful glass house.
Meal type
Went to this cafe due to a friends recommendation! Was disappointed that their hot menus are gone, my date and I were really excited to try out the burger selection, but was informed they were discontinued. The potato salad tasted like they’ve gone bad, however the waitress was very friendly and very nice about it and gave us a replacement, three star because the dining experience wasn’t as good as we expected, however hospitality from the workers were exceptional and the view and atmosphere were top notch. Overall a somewhat good experience
Food and staff were amazing
Great atmosphere but really hit or miss. Food can be great but not always worth the price you have to pay.
My ceaser came with a perogie and a slice of bacon if that doesn't intrigue you to go I don't know what will. I also recommend the slider trio
Menu always often changes. Love that its not a chain restaurant. Maybe its had its ups and down but I love this place!
This place used to be great!!! I’m so sad with the changes that have been made, there is no longer a menu. It’s all just grab and go, like this kiosks in the airport. The coffee is still great, and if you come for the view at least that hasn’t changed!
Cute venue
Absolutely the most overpriced pannini in the capital region. It was mediocre tasting at best. It was flat and tasteless. The overpriced coffee was among the worst coffee I have tasted. It was brewed by a rank amateur clearly. The coffee lacked body and flavor. When we went to sit down we were greeted by dorty chairs and a half heartedly wiped table The service was minimal at best. Most of the time we were ignored and they showed preferential treatment to other customers. Ive had better service at a McDonalds with high school kids in charge. The only thing it gets a star on is ambience and decore. I really liked the modern decore and the bright open space. I do not recommend this place. It is not worth paying $10 for a panini and $5 for a latte. Avoid at all costs.
Glasshouse Bistro. Amazing atmosphere. Creative ideas that never dissapoint. Cafe style with a high quality menu!
Over priced
Okay food, way too expensive!
Food was awesome and drinks are really good.
Beautiful space and great atmosphere. Wish the menu was a bit larger but excellent food nonetheless!
Great location and view. Food was delicious and fairly quick to come out. Service was friendly but on the slow side.
What a unique place! Had lunch here with friends and it was delicious. Stayed for a couple of lattes and did some shopping on the way out. They have a smaller selection of food but everything was delicious. This would be the perfect place to bring guests. I will definetly be back!
Great place for brunch, however a bit expensive.
We came for the brunch menu and it did not disappoint. My friend has been wanting to take me for a while as he always raves about the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. The plates were designed beautifully and so colorful. The peach mimosas were fabulous. Could have drank those all day! Our waitress Amber was super friendly as well! Definitely want to go back to try more of the menu!
Would not recommend this place overpriced for what you get
Well I thought the service was slow and disorganized and the food was just ok and somewhat pricy. In very nice surroundings however
A friend and I met for lunch at Glasshouse and it was amazing! Such a great atmosphere, comfortable with a lovely view. Food is amazing! Huge portions prepared perfectly! Our waitress, Nour, was so friendly and accommodating. She was really careful with my food allergy as well. Thank you Nour! They have an incredible menu and I can’t wait to go back for dinner soon! Highly recommend!
Nice to look at plants and enjoy a coffee
(Translated) Nice ambiance (Original) Schönes Ambiente
Cute environment
Fantastic food and great ambiance
Great atmosphere and delicious food!
I got a hard-boiled Eggs Benedict, my friend also a hard-boiled. That was a rough experience and for the price with cafeteria style service, don't go here.
Other
Beautiful food, atmosphere, and staff! A wonderful and eclectic place for brunch!
My husband and I were married at the Glasshouse on Nov 6. It was perfect for our intimate setting. Food was deeelicious! Everything I asked of the coordinators happened right up to twinkle lights on the trees we stood under to say our vows. I could not have asked for a more perfect start to our new life as husband and wife. Debbie & Andre
I have never met a more pretensious chef in my life. Won't make a simple modification due to a medical condition. The staff did this for me once when the chef was away but now the chef refuses. Sure your food is good as it is but to not change for someone who wants to enjoy your food is Ludacris. You don't work at a Michelin star restraunt you work in a bistro in st Albert. None of my co workers are stepping foot in there again. Service industry not pretensious industry.
What an incredible transformation! Enjoyed an amazing dinner last night - the food was delicious ( highly recommend the salmon, gnocchi and they make a mean burger). The space is fantastic - a greenhouse atmosphere with high ceilings, that is warm and cozy. Can"t wait to go back!
Went there on Sunday August 29 for brunch place is lovely, unfortunately our server was probably on her first day there and was totally inexperienced, nice young lady but totally inexperienced, I had the farmer’s bowl which consisted of hash brown potatoes with poached eggs and sausage and bacon, the sausage was so spicy that it totally over powdered the entire meal, my wife had the chicken waffle and the chicken was so dry that she could not eat it, we received our food unfortunately my wife had to go back to the front to get cutlery for us to eat ,also two tiny cups of regular coffee with no offer to refill was twelve bucks, unfortunately we will not be returning .
Went for a company Christmas function the other night. Really neat atmosphere, food was fantastic & the service was top notch. Will be returning again in the near future!
Worst experience. Waited forever and received the small portion of food for over $100. Not worth it. Don't eat here you will be hungry.
Highly recommend this place, awesome food with great service and the scenery is excellent. I look forward to trying more dish's here
Our Dental clinic had our Christmas staff party here and it was an amazing time! Beautiful venue, my shortribs, and key lime pie were amazing ,and the wait staff/ bar staff were very friendly! ????
We had our work Christmas party at the Glasshouse and the food could not have been better! Order every appetizer, they are all amazing!!!
We bought a $50 gift card at a silent auction that seems impossible to use trying to get someone to answer the phone for months. No one ever answers the phone, or calls back. We ended up calling the green house and having one of there staff go over and talk to them we were told they were open and serving food which was also on their website. However they are open they only serve food during certain times which we missed we couldnt even get a sandwich or soup. Just a drink. A waste of 2 hours of our time driving there and back. Very frustrating. The gift certificate has an expiration date which they extended till we are able to use it. If we ever get to use the gift certificate, I will never go back. To much hassel.
Unique and classy wedding venue. Had a great time and very nice decor.
My wife and I came here for Breakfast, great food and excellent service from our server Nour. We will definitely be back!!
Great place, excellent atmosphere, good Service, assortment on the menu and very good food. Excellent customer service. YES GO- I LOVED IT. THANKS GANG
LOVE this place!!! Love the quality of the food, love the service, love the ambience. Thanks Chelsea for a wonderful Sunday brunch! We'll definitely be back.
Used to be one of our go-to places but now it is forever gone from our list! The last couple of times we ate here, we noticed things starting to slip but now they have fallen off the chart. Sorry to see such a massive decline in the quality and choices of the food, the service and the environment. We shall miss the way you were.
Hanna was a great server very friendly and gave good suggestions, very attentive. Food was really good, ambiance was nice!
Great food, and people working here. Cozy clean place.
Great French toast
Drove 35 minutes from Sherwood Park to take my wife on a date. We don't get to go on dates as much now that we have a newborn. (11 weeks old today!) The location is beautiful and the atmosphere nice, trendy and open. There is a beautiful view of Lois Hole Provincial Park which we enjoyed. Unfortunately, it took 45 minutes for our food arrive! The restaurant was only 1/3 full so this was surprising. At about the 40 minute mark I asked our server and she said they were backed up in the kitchen and that the food would still be more than a few minutes... Not sure how that happens when you are only 1/3 full... The manager did come by later and apologize for the delay and said their cook had just left and he gave us a $20 gift card. Nice touch. When the food did finally come it was past time for the baby to eat so we ate in about 10 minutes. Not the most ideal date conditions. Thankfully the food was reasonably good although the mushroom burger had a bit of an odd taste and texture which we wouldn't order again, but the fennel breakfast sausage was delicious and a bit spicy. Would have appreciated the warning ahead of time about the wait and we could have fed the baby and walked around the greenhouse... All in all it was an OK experience. But I expected a bit more...
Loved the veggie sandwich that I had here. Love the seating arrangements and the music they play.
What a fantastic place for a meal. Glasshouse has one of the best views for hours around and a great evolving menu with a myriad of delicious options. Give it a try for date night, brunch, a business meeting or really any occasion.
The new system seems to be working for them, quite expensive considering you end up being your own server... I will say the food was good but not sure this would be a regular place on my list.
We visited this establishment that has been under new management to celebrate my birthday this week and we were very impressed with the food, the price and the venue overall. The Thu evening supper club special was outstanding including 6 large chicken tacos, 2 bowls of fries and 2 lemon tarts and we started with a couple of appies as well which were also delicious. We brought home the tacos we could not finish and our kids polished them off in no time! The service was efficient and friendly as well! We will definitely return to The Glass House and give them 5 stars!!
Salad was very interesting and very tasty. The latte was very good, great barista. The location is within a garden Center, so park at the back and walk in through the garden Center main doors.
We decided after this crazy year to do something different for Christmas dinner. Ordered from the Glasshouse Bistro and spoke with Chelsea who was wonderful to deal with, the meals (and pies) were absolutely delicious!! Good sized portions with enough for leftovers! Thank you to the chef and all the staff for being a bright spot in our Christmas Day!!
We stopped in for a relaxing Saturday afternoon snack. What a beautiful room and view!! Kiana was our server and she knew all the specials of the day. We had a couple glasses of the house red(a smooth Tempranillo) and decided to share Bang Bang broccoli. Shortly after ordering some complimentary truffle chips(still warm) show up at the same time as our vino. Sooo nice Soon our server brought out the best broccoli I’ve had in a while. Was a great start to a relaxing Saturday evening; thanks Glasshouse and Kiana!
disappointing, long wait for sandwich and fries to go with a soup, could've eaten the sandwich with the soup but it sat 20 mins waiting for fries, somehow everything was cold by the time I got it. they do however make an amazing ginger carrot soup on occasion but didn't happen to have it today. Spent 25$ didn't order drinks. I'd try it again because overall the quality is good & maybe it was just an off day.
Such a beautiful cafe. Food is all fresh, creative and delicious. They have grab and go which is awesome
My wife had her work Christmas party at the Glass House. It was great. Great food and service. Especially Nour and Johanna. They were excellent
Casual, clean, quiet, great prices, excellent food and coffee. We take our kids to walk the greenhouse and they always want to stop for treats
Thoroughly enjoyed the Beet and Goat Cheese Salad and the excellent service provided by Nour. Our lattes were exactly as we liked them (low fat & extra hot), so good that we each had 2! Delicious and amazing atmosphere!!
Excellent food. Great view of the Louise Hole park. Wonderful garden Centre
Our server was lovely. Unfortunately the food was not. There are very few options. We wound up getting spinach salad and it was delivered to our table without anybody noticing that a key ingredient was missing (avocado... The only protein on the salad). It turned out that they were out of avocado but nobody informed us of that before bringing out the order-- we had to ask. We were comped some coffees which were not bad. The location is stunning, but the fixtures were dirty (my white vinyl chair was very grubby). I was expecting more for the price and atmosphere.
Very nice atmosphere
Nour has been a delight when taking our order and bringing our orders out promptly. She has a beautiful way with her customers.
Under new ownership and Chef Julia Kundera is back. If you visited when Julia was running the show years ago, you know that this was the spot to be in St. Albert. Now that she’s back, it’s once again the spot to be. Can’t wait to go back and try the brunch! Absolutely delicious! Chef Julia’s food is always exquisite.
Great place to have coffee Bright location under a greenhouse Friendly barista, the blond guy
The most gorgeous place to sit and eat lunch! Large portions and delicious food! I highly recommend!
Food was alright. Not as good as I expected
Attended an Xmas event at the Glasshouse last week. The venue was magical, the food was perfect and the staff was wonderful. It’s my new destination for special occasions.
I've been here for brunch a few times and the food is good, but service is hit and miss. We've had truly bad service some days and then really warm and professional service on other days.
It is such a pleasure to return to the Glasshouse cafe and to have the wonderful chef back. We live in South Edmonton, but lately have been treating ourselves to lunch every other week during this pandemic. The greenhouse atmosphere with high ceilings and well spaced tables make us feel that we are safe. We enjoy the food. I particularly recommend the soups. I've had at least 4 different varieties and each one has been excellent. We'll be back soon!
Only had the coffee while I was here (which was good) but the the atmosphere and decor was wow.
Delicious, healthy food [I had their roasted pumpkin & and ricotta gnudi], friendly wait staff and a lovely atmosphere. Glasshouse Bistro is a delightful restaurant in St. Albert. Looking forward to going again with more friends!
I visited on a Sunday in January on a cold day, just looking to have a bowl of soup and a cup of tea. The signs on the table said sit down and a server will come. No one came. It was brunch day, so no table service in the cafe area?? Thanks for letting me sit there and wait and wait. Also, no soup?? I am really not into overpriced brunch, and I was alone. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a cup of tea.. I was showed the order, the sandwich was $12, for a premade sandwich in a plastic clamshell package, no side or salad! Plus she added on a dessert which I never ordered. At this point I am exasperated. Yes the sandwich was good, but I can go to the french cafe, Macarons downtown and have a sandwich with salad for cheaper. So disappointed, will never be back.
Whoever decided to make changes to the restaurant has lost their mind. It’s been turned into a cafeteria. Went for breakfast and it was terrible. The meal wasn’t even warm when I got it. I told a staff member and nothing was offered. It tasted very much like air plane food. It was clear that the food was prepared before they opened and kept in warming trays due to how fast my food was served and the lack of heat. The most surprising thing was the prices, they were the same as they were when they had chefs and service. Two thumbs down. ????????
Very accommodating, good service, fresh food and a great atmosphere!
Food was delicious and coffee was excellent. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is really unique. I do wish there was a better selection to choose from though and would be nicer if the soup portion was bigger.
Good food and atmosphere. Went in the winter months which is probably the least scenic for views outside. Im sure we'll be back and ill update my review again. Thank you for the experience.
I booked The Greenhouse Bistro for a private family event and everything was perfect. The food was fresh and delicious. The service and the assistance we received from Shaun and Justin was amazing. All of my guests loved the experience and they really deserve this 5 star review.
what an outstanding time....appys were fantastic...meal was top notch (I had the chicken and gnocchi and the Mrs had the salmon)...and then the desert...OMG....to absolutely die for....only regret is i can only rate it a 5/5 or I would have put a 10 star rating......
Expensive cafeteria style, no refills or service of any kind. Had a good experience before it changed to cafeteria style, but now I won't be back.
I was disappointed about the line to get into an almost empty seating area. The place could have more wait staff. The food was good, but the portion to price ratio seemed a bit off. Good experience overall, bit not worth the drive from downtown Edmonton.
Pretty good...must give it a try
Good coffee
We ordered a waffle for a kid..had to wait for 20 mins..and finally we got it after following up twice..there wea no fruits, nuts or mint as per the menu. In addition they charged full price for kids version..very poor service..the staff needs more training...
The Bistro does not follow their posted hours of operation, I went to get a late lunch and they were already closed more then 20 min before they were suppose to. This is not the first time! very disappointing
Nour our server was great and the view was amazing on a snowy day seeing the country side. Plus the food was perfect and very fairly priced! Try their beer menu :)
I didnt see anything I would eat. Not many people in there.
Fantastic! I went for the grand opening and met the new owners Bill and Shannon who are very friendly and took awesome care of us. Both the food and drink menu have a variety of delicious options; everything I ate was perfect and I can't wait to try it all.
Looking for a great place to have a business lunch. I highly recommend Glasshouse Bistro and Cafe at the Enjoy Centre. As one of our parties had some tricky allergies to get around we were a little concerned. However, Justin and the team there took every care to ensure to make sure our food was incredible. Really enjoyed the Beautiful Atmosphere and the fact that you did not have waiters and waitresses bugging you the whole time that you were eating. Oh and they have the Water so that you can ensure that you get the right amount. Thank you so much we will be back again.
Absolutely smashing it out of the park lately, what a delight, everything is so good.
I went to the Glasshouse Kitchen and Bar yesterday afternoon to have a coffee with friends. The drinks were slightly expensive but, were great as always! The pastries too! Unfortunately, did not have the best experience with the staff. The young man working behind the counter was rude and arrogant. He spoke to my friends and I in a condescending tone, he snarked at our order as if it wasn't a good choice, and he ridicule my method of payment with an unnecessary comment. Additionally, during the interaction, he just left without finishing our order. The nice girl behind the counter told us he would be back and she's sorry about the wait. I've been to the Glasshouse multiple times and the staff have always been polite and well mannered. I'm not too sure if he's a new hire but, we were shocked by how rude and unprofessional he is. It's embarrassing to invite your friends to a cafe you've enjoyed for so many years for them to feel uncomfortable and unimpressed.
My lunch experience was mediocre at best. Our table of 8 took over an hour to be served our food from the time we ordered! By that point, one of the people at the table had to have his packed to go, which the server was in no way apologetic about. When our food did come, the server was again in no way apologetic for having taken so long. The food was okay, I would give my entree a 5/10. My side salad had approximately 1/4 tsp of dressing. It is way overpriced for the food and quality. Overall, I would be happy to not return. On the plus side, they kept our water topped up all the time.
Not very good service for a first visit.
Pretty good food and service, the Cinnamon buns looked amazing.
We had brunch at this beautiful restaurant one cold wintry day a few weeks ago. We had brunch. It was the best restaurant meal we’ve had in a very long time. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles. Both are perfectly cooked with waffles crispy on the outside and soft inside and the chicken was tender and spiced perfectly so the savory and sweet was amazing. The French Toast was also a masterpiece of flavor. Both were beautifully presented. Can’t wait to go back.
Just want to say I believe in second chances. Went there on a Friday night when it was super busy and things didn't go so well. But they were super apologetic and sent us home with food. We went back again on the Sunday and had a fabulous brunch. I had girlfriends booked for this past Sunday with me and it was outstanding service and food. We need to remember everybody is struggling due to covid. Things can't always go perfect. I highly recommend any food on their menu. If you have special dietary needs they will do their best to meet them. Management and staff are top notch. Thank you again so much for a wonderful experience we are definitely coming back. Stay safe Regards The A-Team ????
My favorite year round place for consistently amazing, food and service!!!! A warm inviting relaxing g environment with quality food! Thank you to my beautiful and amazing server Nour! And all the staff for making my birthday lunch amazing, she is beautiful inside and out !
Service
Great meal, great view, great service!
Stunning, great salads
Went here today not realizing they have changed to semi self serve restaurant. I have been here a few times when they were a full service restaurant and enjoyed their food and service very much. I was quite disappointed when we got there to realize we had to seat ourselves. I was with a friend and we had three children under the age of two and it was quite an inconvenience to have to get our own high chairs, waters etc. The most disappointing was their menu. They have limited their menu to basically sandwiches and burgers. Not much for the kiddos either. We resorted to soup and fries for them. What a waste of a beautiful restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend bringing kids here but it’s still a nice place for a lunch date with a friend.
I traveled here from Edmonton to take my family out for lunch, the glasshouse bistro lunch hours are until 3pm mon-sat. When we tried to order our food at 2:25pm we were informed that the kitchen is already closed because they weren't very busy! Nothing was updated on their website regarding the early closing that day. Very disappointing!
Perfect spot for a quiet lunch with friends! Love the views of Lois Hole park and the fact that they support local producers.
Brunch
The new glass house bistro has cut back on everything including being able to adjust the menu to suite your dietary needs.
Service
Shayla is wonderful! She made me a delicious, aesthetically pleasing latte. Definitely worth the price, definitely better than Starbucks!
Need better products!
My absolute favorite place for brunch. Good quality food, I go here for brunch every Sunday and I'm always pleased
Don't like cafeteria style, potential to be much more
I had an egg salad sandwich that was very good. The only thing I didn't like was that the sandwich was already made and was sitting on the counter without any cover on it.
Service
Had a wonderful dinner at the Glasshouse recently. The food was incredibly good and presentation was awesome too. Service was great as well. Definitely will return again!
Awesome ???? ???? one of my favorite place, I spend 2hr easy
Love the sunny indoors
Dine in
We visited October 9. The food was fabulous and we loved the atmosphere. We highly recommend the spiced popcorn broccoli and dirty fries as appetizers as well as the hot cauliflower & chorizo dip. For mains, the Spiced Crispy Cauliflower and steak & frites were delicious. For a cocktail, the Friendmaker was fantastic. We are looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.
We went there the other day for lunch. Two things really stood out to me; the freshness of our food (much of it locally sourced) and the complexity of flavours that were woven together in each dish. Reasonable portions for the price. I would definitely go back again and I would highly recommend eating here.
They are always "out" of what I order. Not sure why they bother having it on the menu. I'll never go back, too expensive for too little choice. Also watching the waitress fish something out of the water jug with her finger on the way to the table is a bit of a turn off.
