I have been coming to the collender as family tradition for over 37 years. my Nona and popa from Blueberry Creek God rest there souls would be very dissapointed. The buns not the same crusty buns. They forgot some of or order had me wait in hotel wait room said 3 mins I waited 18 mins and they supposedly brought to other hotel. Called back and delivered to the right place. Wanted to show my boyfriend the collender experience and it was a bust after driving four hours and bragging about how good it was for years.

Forgot that they closed at 2pm for the afternoon. Walked in at 208, and they said if we wanted the lunch pasta special, we could stay. Very good penne and meat balls! Thanks for the flexibility!

Traditional Italian food, cooked perfect. The meatballs are as good as you can get. Generous portions. Not fancy but clean.

If you were born in Trail then you understand. Family-style pasta dinners in an old grocery store. Get over yourself and enjoy the most memorable meal in the city.

We wanted spaghetti and garlic toast and this hit the spot!! I wish they explained a little more when we sat down what "the tradition" was to the restaurant, but after a little prying we figured it out!!! Service was great, food was tasty, and if were ever in Trail again craving some pasta, probably be back:)

Honestly one of the best restaurants in town, i have been coming here since i was a child and they have always had excellent food.Their spaghetti and meat balls are delicious and reasonable priced and their staff are always very friendly. I also like how they have a location at the mall,witch is very convenient if you're out their doing some shopping. If you are looking for a excellent meal and a great price,i definitely recommend this folks. 5/5

Excellent pasta!! The lasagna meatballs is really good. One of the best I have had. We really enjoyed the meals we had. Our server was great. Can’t wait to come back to Trail!!

Don't be fooled by the ambiance, the lunch we had was very reasonably priced, and very tasty. I had the Beef dip with pasta on the side. Someday soon i'd love to go back and try their dinners. Lunch menu was a little limited.

Amazing pasta as always, it's "All you can eat" spaghetti with different modifications to fit your taste. Definitely recommend if you love spaghetti.

I don't know what it is about the colander but their spaghetti and meatballs are DELICIOUS! The pasta isn't overdone which is usual for this price point and the American Italian style food, nope they cook the pasta perfectly and the flavours are very addictive. I love getting takeout because the portions are massive (2 people can easily gorge out in one portion.) in the restaurant it's all you can eat, so make sure to go hungry! Unlimited pasta ???? mmmm ????

Family went here for dinner after a day of skiing and everyone enjoyed their meal. Portions were hearty and tasteful, prices were very reasonable, and service/receiving the food was speedy. We ordered lasagna with meatballs and spaghetti with meatballs all of which were very much loved. I would recommend this place to friends and family who wanted a hearty and reasonably priced meal that would satisfy their hunger. PS: Management even was stopping by the tables asking how the service and food which was very impressive.

I grew up in castlgar and used to come here 35 years ago with my family. I made a special trip on my way home from Alberta with my kids to eat here .. it didn't disappoint. Still an awesome place and my kids LOVED it too.

I will never eat here again. The meat sauce that had an Italian taste to it that everyone loved has been dramatically changed in taste. It has been a few years since I've been through this area. But even our family in this area said don't go... should have listened.

I only had one bad thing to say about the restaurant in which I wish not to disclose here and is the only reason I didn't give it the big 5. The food was great and gave you feel of home cooking, just like mama makes. I ordered the lasagna and meatballs which was priced right and came with a bowl of salad and a bun. The "dinning hall" looks like it hasn't been touched since it began and is pretty echoey. But besides the gym like pop-up restaurant look, it's all about the food in the end and the food was pretty damn good for the money.

Its a Trail tradition! If you visit Trail you must stop in and get the Colander Special. Spaghetti with sauce and meatballs. Comes with chicken and potatoes. I grew up eating here and make sure to stop by and visit whenever I am back in town. Its family owned and operated and they will keep bringing you more as long as you keep eating. My mouth waters whenever I think if this place.
