I stopped here with some friends the other day (I had never heard of it before) and we had a great lunch meal. Prices were reasonable, atmosphere is good and like I said the food was excellent. Well come again.

Food is good and the portions are reasonably sized, however service can be a bit spotty, sometimes excellent, other times substandard, appears to be a lot of staff turnover at the till. All in all if you wanted reasonably priced smoked meats this is a great option.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. Fell in love with the pit boss Special and religiously ordered it whenever coming here. Tried the Brisket philly cheese steak and wow the special has a challenger now. Always great food and service here. Highly recommend

I'm sitting here in the booth.... My wife and my 18 month old, I ordered the little guy Mac and cheese and we each had burgers, I had potato salad and she had poutine, I Ordered a piece of corn bread to start so the boy could munch on something while the food to start..... Our burgers came out first and so we picked at the burger to feed the child, luckily it was cold he didn't have to wait for it to cool down. Then the rest came and everything was cold. I've been waiting to come here for a few years..... Too bad I won't be back. But I will say the cold hamburger was tasty

The fries aren't anything special and their poutine gravy kinda tastes like Campbell's vegetable soup, but their burger is kinda great, a little small but definitely good and their brisket while seemingly unseasoned is also really good like cut with a fork good

The food is delicious and the service is excellent. I do however suggest calling in before making the trip as they often close for food prep and do not update their hours online. This is now my third time driving across the city to try to purchase a meal based on the hours provided here, only to come across a paper on the door.

The driest meat I've ever had at a restaurant. The beef brisket was one step up from rehydrated jerky and the ribs definitely stuck to the bone. The rub was pretty flavourless and no hint of the smoke you smell in the restuarant is found on the meat. On a Saturday afternoon they only had 1 half rack of ribs left which is odd for a BBQ joint. The only positive is that the restaurant was clean and had kitschy table cloths.

Just thought I would share the worst customer service issue I have experienced in a long long time in the hopes of sparing you all the same - made the mistake of deciding to go to Smokin' Okies BBQ Restaurant here in Regina today at lunch --- according to their published hours of operation they open at 11:00; however, when I arrived at 11:20 there was a sign on the door saying opening at 11:30 today due to catering - since I had committed to pick up food for someone else as well I decided to wait and at 11:35 tapped on the door - I was then advised that they were not yet done their catering order and wouldn't open until they were - waste of my lunch hour and my gas money and not so much as an apology - basically just too bad for me cause they were busy --- in future Jack Keaton's BBQ or Prairie Fire for me (and I urge you all to do the same)

Went there for lunch today. Got the pit boss something or another with a sprite for $18.00 I don't know what I expected but it wasn't a microwaved dish of Luke warm dog food. Couldn't touch the plate, the food was barely warm at best and was tasteless mush.

Got the brisket, mac and cheese, and hush puppies. The brisket was well seasoned and tasty, but a touch on the dry side. The mac and cheese was rich and cheesy, however the noodles were perhaps a bit overcooked. The hush puppies unfortunately were quite underseasoned and tasted bland, although they were crispy and had good texture. Overall still a good meal and one of the better smoked BBQ restaurants I've tried.

Coming from a Georgia boy living in Saskatchewan, this is the best representation of southern comfort food that I have found in this entire province HANDS DOWN! It’s a little pricey, but you get what you pay for! Their mac and cheese is the best I’ve ever had and then they went and stuffed it with burnt brisket ends...AMAZING! You’d better get you some! I know I would!

Dry and uninspired... like most people have said the price to portion ratio is waaaay off. I was fine with the service she smiled and was courteous, but man the ribs tasted just like jerky meat. The beans were just canned beans with peppers it was not good. This place has bad bbq plain and simple.

Just ate there and had brisket sandwich and chili fries. It's probably good that the sandwich had onions and banana peppers on it as the brisket itself had very little flavor and the chili chips were quite bland. If you are looking for an authentic flavorful bbq experience I'm sorry but this is not the place

We orded the sampler platter for 2 with fried pickles and jalapeño peppers and let me tell you we had no complaints at all. Absolutely delicious. Customer service was top notch. Eric and the staff at Smokin Okies prepared turkey, gravy and cornbread dressing for me to serve at my Easter dinner. Everyone at my dinner agreed it was one of the best turkeys they’d ever enjoyed! It was unreal how moist and delicious it was! I absolutely will be ordering through Smokin Okies again...their professional attitude sand wonderful customer service was a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again for freeing up my oven so I could cook all the other delicious items for my company!????????????

Ordered a sampler platter, got told 43$ and an hour to make that is fine. Get the food and things all went downhill. No fork or napkins, price was instead 48$ (still tipped 10%), got pulled pork when I only asked for this to be changed and was told it was fine, brisket was tasty but overdone and the ribs were a bit underdone but the good parts tasted nice. Go to eat the baked potato when I got home and it wasn't fully cooked through and the fries had zero salt or flavour while the hush puppies were just inedible. I'd say try the ribs if you like but avoid the rest. Definitely not satisfied for the quality and taste of the meal to pay 53$

I like to come here every couple/few months or so, I have tried many things that are usually good to great. I have Been into the burnt ends recently which are good, this pork belly sandwhich they have now was excellent and will most definitely have again as a nice side. Always went to Jack Keatons as it was a closer drive, but they started to go downhill so i stopped going, they closed down now which you could see coming a long way out due to ownership lacking business sense and the steady decline of the product. Anyway, when I don't feel like slaving away around the smoker all day, Smokin Okies is where my car drives to!

Ate at smokin okies for the first and last time today. Went in because it was the only place in the area that wasn't busy at lunch time. Probably should have been out first clue as to the experience we were in for. Spent $33 and change and received two plain hamburgers, one side of fries, one side of gravy, and two iced teas. The burgers were dry, overcooked 4oz patties with no seasoning. The side of fries was maybe 5oz and were overseasoned with lawry seasoning salt that had definitely been frozen and came from a bag. They tasted like they had been reheated from a previous order. The only good things I can say about the food is that the bun was fresh and my wife liked the iced tea. I don't mind paying more money for quality food, which is why even though we saw the prices we thought it must be good at that price. With the high prices and the poor quality of food, this place is just trying to keep their doors open. All in all, I feel gouged that I left a bbq house after spending almost $35 hungry. I'm sure the management could care less about this review. Just hope it saves another couple a disappointing and overpriced lunch.

Was looking for something different last Friday night....so I googled take out food East Regina. When Smokin Okies came up, that’s what I was getting. Had the absolute best Pulled Pork sandwich with a side of yummy coleslaw. The pick up service was also excellent and friendly, which is hard to come by these days. I will most definitely be back!!

Hands dow the best BBQ ive ever had and ive been to Missouri. So much experience behind this place. Super friendly staff and their spices to bu and take home will light up your bbq'd meats. 10/10 Came back again today May 14th. Had the Pork Belly Sandwich and bought some bbq sauce to compliment it. Great Ribs, have eaten there a few times, when passing through. Make a point of stopping. I find they are consistently good. Recently tried the Stuft Mac and Cheese (Burnt Ends). Oh wow....is all I can say. Many more ways to try it.

Had a delicious dinner here recently. At the counter as we were deciding, we were invited to remove our masks if desired. Not until we sat down did we realize - no sign on the front door advising SK law requires masks in all public places and when not eating. Also - no plexiglass at counter. And lastly - no mask on the lady at the till at any time in the 45 min we were there, or the older gentleman assisting cooks (2 others with accents DID wear masks). The next family (2 + 4 children) were also welcomed to take off their masks and did so immediately inside the door. Personally, I have MS - an auto-immune disorder making me more at risk than some others. In addition, I am a small business owner myself, and am grateful every day that I am allowed to remain open to employ 20 other people. All I have to do is follow the government guidelines in an effort to keep myself and those in close proximity healthy. I regret I will have to look elsewhere when I decide to eat out, as I did enjoy my dinner.
