This Catering belongs to the category of Indian restaurant.
Great dinner service, slow lunch service. Take a date out but don't try to grab a quick bite over lunch.
This is the best Indian restaurant in Prince George. Lots of selection and the food tastes authentic, we'll spiced (flavour not heat) and prepared to you heat level well. Recommend the vindaloos and tikka masala with rice and naan (huge). There is more to the food than meat and sauce, it has the spices, seeds and herbs that make a great curry. Prices are great and two people will be about $45 without drinks. Also offer a buffet on weekends with more usual offerings. For the best try off the menu though.
We have tried so many restaurants but we love ordering from Spice of Life. Geeta is so hospitable and the service can't be beat. They just added a banquet space as well and it is beautiful. Highly recommend
Friendly staff, warm atmosphere. Loveee the food very well prepared and presented.
Best place to have indian food in prince george. Delicious food and great service. Enjoyed alot having visit over here .????????????????????????????
This place is the absolute best in Prince George and easily compares the best Indian food you've eaten anywhere else too. I can not say enough good things about both the incredibly friendly staff and the consistently DELICIOUS food!
Spice of Life is hands down the best Indian food in town, highly recommend the vegetable korma or chana masala! Service is good and staff is friendly..plus they have an awesome room for renting to have parties :)
I went several time to spice of life . Always had wonderful Expereince with this restaurant. Never disappointed me. Always had quick and good service. Food is always delicious. One should try once. Server girl is always awesome. 10 out of 10. Thank you for amazing service and food.
I tried Spice of Life for the first time and I Love it. Perfect amount of spices and quantity. Great customer service. Must go and check out variety of food items out there.
Fantastic! Every time we're in the city we grab food from Spice of Life so we can eat when we get home. So tasty, fresh, delicious. The price point is awesome and we always have enough for supper when we get home and lunch the next day. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend. I don't know why this place isn't busier.
Good indian food. I was satisfied. The service was also good.
I ordered online and picked up the order. It was very fresh and flavourful and ready in 30 minutes.
Awesome food! Great staff! Best food in town!
I went there on my friend's recommendation and the reviews i read online about the food but as soon as i entered, i was about to fall down because of the slippery floors and second the dull ambiance killed my all of expectations. So, i left right away. If they wouls work on their ambience., i would love to come back Thank you
I ordered from here, was told it would take 40 minutes , it took more than an hour. By the time I received it, it was cold. The chicken dish I ordered had hardly any chicken in it, maybe eight pieces, mostly quite small. The pakora was dry and too hard to eat. The Naan and aloo tiki ,soggy and doughy. This is my first and last time ordering from here.
Been here twice so far , first time the food was really good and the service was slow probably due to a large function in the side room.Went back yesterday ,there was one other table , service was faster , the server was very informative and helpful with explaining different menu items . Food came and was fresh and exploding in flavour ,so far for me it's the best Indian food in Prince George.I ordered off the menu , buffet food can be effected by so many different factors and should not reflect a review , you have to accept buffet food for buffet food and not affect your real judgement of a good restaurant.
I tried this place for the first time last night and I was thrilled. The Butter Chicken was very flavorful and had exactly the right amount of spiciness (I ordered it hot.) The Vegetable Pakora was a big enough portion to share with a 2nd person. I forgot to order rice, and the kind lady who likely realized it was my first experience there gave me complimentary rice so I would enjoy my meal more. The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly and fast. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
From the time we got into the restaurant until we left, all of our experience was awesome. The prices were reasonable and the customer service was very friendly. The waiting staff was polite, friendly and gave honest opinion. Hard to find all these things at one place. Would definitely go back. Earned 5 out of 5 stars. ☺
Really good food. Great service. Definately worrh eating here!
Amazing food and amazing customer service Not going to lie, best indian tasting food I’ve had ina long time I had their Karai Paneer and it was so yummy and delicious, very tasty ???? 10/0
Wish I could give a 7-star rating! Had lamb biryani & samosas. The food has the perfect blend of spices and the service is the best in Canada!
The best Indian food in town! Some of the tastiest dishes and a great selection! Eat in or pick up, it is all delicious!
Sooooo good. Staff was lovely, food was aweeeesome! Thank you, thank you
Seriously amazing, yummy food, friendly atmosphere. Service was too good . ????????
Incredible food, great price and amazing customer service. Best place in town. If you want a fantastic place to eat, that's the place!
I didn't like food very slow service and not clean.
Have been here twice. Food is decent enough but still not good enough to knock off my fave Indian restaurant in Prince George. The staff tries too hard to be funny and helpful...could learn a bit more of language skills and humour...
Spice of Life is by far the best Indian restaurant I have eaten at in Prince George and the Lower Mainland. The food is beyond fabulous every time, amazing flavour and cooked to perfection. The staff are so friendly and service is exceptional. Definitely a place you must try!!! My favorite restaurant in Prince George.
We always have an amazing experience of great food and service at Spice of Life . Generally all there dishes are bang on taste, presentation and portion however my personal favorite is the Butter Chicken and Methi Chicken, though Methi Chicken isn’t on the menu the staff at Spice of Life is always willing to customize dishes for you. All in all great food, great service at affordable Price. Way to go Spice of Life! You guys are the best in Town...
I Love Indian food and this place is authentic, delicious Indian food, very friendly staff, highly recommended!
Excellent food and great service. This will be my go to place now. Edit: I was recommended the goat curry, I have never had it before but it was amazing. The gentleman at the front was so very friendly that I felt like I was a guest and not a customer.
Amazing! Butter chicken is delish, and service is impeccable! Our server (younger man) was extremely helpful and friendly, even if the food was gross I would probably go back just for the service! Thank you again!
We sure enjoy our dinners, especially butter chicken & lamb curry meals ????
One of my favorite Indian restaurants!
Excellent food! Great naan and chai. Thank you !!
Great food. Super nice staff. Expect food to be ready 20 minutes later then they say tho.
Excellent Food & excellent Customer Service , This is the best Indian Restaurant and Food I ever ate here in Prince George, BC. Been to this town frequently in past several Year and I will recommend this to all for Best Authentic Indian Food... Certainly you will not regret if you eat here....
Pretty good food, and great portions. Guess you get what you pay for. Havn't tried every place in town to compare, but this is where I usually get take-out of this variety.
So far best Indian food far I have had in pg
The best Indian food in PG. Excellent menu options, great service.
Delicious and easily best Indian Cuisine in P.G.
The cooks in this kitchen are so gifted. Everything I have tasted from this place is incredible- but the mattar paneer is otherworldly delicious. I’ve thought about it almost every day since the first time that I tried it. If I had to choose my last meal on this earth, it would be mattar paneer on saffron rice from Spice of Life. Prince George is so lucky to have culinary talent like this.
Get the biryani, ask for very spicy! Eat the leftovers cold for lunch the next day, it’s even better! I love this place and the staff are great.
The best Indian food in town by far!!! Their saffron rice and butter chicken are delicious!!! Plus they have a beautiful new banquet room. Definitely worth checking out.
I don't usually order Indian food but I enjoy trying new things. I ordered for take out. The whole family loved it. $60, 5 items, (we made rice at home), the 4 of us ate our fill and there's left overs for tomorrow. The staff were so very nice too. I will eat there again for sure.
Great food and service. My favorite restaurant by far!
The food was...... Not great. Not the worst but definitely not worth the price. The service was nothing special and they were easily confused by even the request for a spoon. The ambiance was terrible, like a cheap diner put into an old laundromat.
Great service. Food was hot and fresh.
the food is good but the service is so poor, instead of apologize they will blame you if the order is not right, very poor customer service and satisfaction, the girl who takes my order argue that I only order 1 instead of 2, everytime I order i repeat my order, then she wants me to wait for another 1 1/2 hours for the mistake, if you want more sales improve your service, make sure that the customers taken care of nicely, now some of my friends will look for some other restaurants, thanks to that girl,
I was trying to set up a nice lunch for some folks at work and was a little out of it when ordering as work was pretty fast paced that day. The staff made sure my order was on time for our lunch break, made a nice smiley face on my receipt, gave me rice on the house, and were super polite and helpful. Food was also great! Everything went very smoothly. Thanks so much.
Food is amazing! The customer service is great too!
Had one of the most delicious Indian meals of my life. Fantastic quality, great naan, super service :) COVID friendly
Great food, Friendly & quick service. recommended
Absolute best Indian food PG has to offer
Had dinner here with friends. It was not that busy (which usually concerns me), but it was a weekday evening. Seated right away and had our order taken quickly. The staff were very welcoming and friendly :) Once the food arrived any apprehension I may have had quickly drained away. Delicious Chana, veg Korma, yummy Samosa, and some of the best Chicken Tikka I have ever had! I would recommend you give them a try. Thanks
Delicious, flavourful food, generous portions and great service.
Come here for the best aloo tikki in BC! Perfect flavors and taste.
Ordered online. They missed out on pappadams. I called them and they said "next time I will give you discount". It's the principle of the thing and i dont think i will order from this place again nor recommend it to anyone.
It isn't low calorie, not even the vegetarian stuff, so do go in knowing that you could really put away 1500 calories. It'll be the best 1500 calories you could swallow in Prince George! We had the vegetarian Samosas, Chana Masala, Eggplant Bharta, garlic naan and saffron rice--mild heat level. It hit the spot and we had some food to take home! Oh, the grimy door may be a little sticky--we almost left because my daughter didn't pull hard enough. On the way out you can pick up a few seeds to chew--the coriander (spherical seeds) will surprise you! I didn't pause long enough to see if fennel was a choice--bummed.
Food was delicious. Great little spot for some tasty Indian food.
My wife and I are from the Valley. The first thing we looked for was a good Indian restaurant. Spice of Life is the best Indian food in Prince George. The butter chicken, lamb curry, tandoori chicken, garlic naan, and samosas are fantastic. I highly recommend this place.
Best alloo tiki i ever had..
Super delicious food. Really like the veggie samosas and the chicken tikka masala. Their chicken is tender in a way that's unbelievable.
Delicious food and super friendly staff! Truly enjoyed my meal there and will gladly return.
Excellent fresh authentic Indian food. Best in town, you will not be disappointed or go hungry. Highly recommend.
My friends and family all love this place. Great service, even caters to vegans, awesome food.
Amazing food and friendly service. A new favourite!
Welcoming staff and awesome authentic Indian food!!! And surely the best in Prince George. I have been their customer from 8 months and I visit here every week to enjoy some Indian food... I like their spinach naan and chicken tandoori comes in one of my favourites list...
Very authentic Indian food. Great experience.
Great family run joint. Very friendly staff.Great food, specially the Chickpea Curry by Chef Paul.
Great Indian food and the lady who runs the place is super nice
Just Another typical India Restaurant, combining the pre-cooked sauces and meats just before serving to the customers.
Absolutely delicious food! Had some coconut saffron rice and butter chicken and it was the best I've had! The chicken was unbelievably tender. Milkshakes are great too!
Came in close to close, asked of if it was okay I ordered even though they were closing. They were more than accommodating. Not only did they encourage I order whatever I wanted, they gave me appetizers on the house while I waited! Amazing.
Ordered butter chicken, aloo tikki, and naan bread Butter chicken came without rice. There was 5 small pieces of chicken in the butter chicken.order thr butter chicken hot and it came very mild. Not tasty Aloo tikki was soggy from drench ij yogurt. Found a hair in my food. Good service, terrible food
Best Indian food in Prince George with great service and affordable prices
Great people, great cab driver, awesome Food! We'll be there again soon!
Food taste is okeish at first place. Ambience is like no no. Expensive as per food, location, staff, preparation and ambience. The thing about Indian food is you will know after few hours if you eat good food or bad. Trust me, after few hours we all were having bad stomach and gastric problem.
Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the family run place has some decent food. Friendly staff too. Would recommend not going for the buffet though.
Nice small restaurant. Food was delicious.
Ordered food online and ,to be honest, the food quality was very poor! The fish pakora was soggy and cold. I asked for some chutney sauce and they didn’t put any in. The Lamb Biryani had barely any meat in there, plus was caked in oil! I’m shocked how they got so many good reviews considering this place reminded me of a fast food Indian restaurant! Will never reorder! Online ordering was a plus though!
Ordered online. Delivery estimated to be 40 minutes. After 1 hour, I called and had a very confusing conversation where I was told they didn't receive my order. Then they found my order, and quickly made it and delivered 30 minutes later. I specified I'd be paying visa. Due to some mishap, the driver didn't have a visa machine and I told me I need to call the restaurant with my visa number. Luckily I had cash. The food was so spicy that it made me ill, which was my own fault. Their options were Mild, Spicy and Extra Spicy. I wrongly assumed "spicy" would be in the medium category. Not likely to order from here again.
The food is honestly delicious but the wait times are crazy. I have waited over an hour for pick-up orders and tonight when after placing my order 45 minutes they phoned to tell me they didn't have ingredients for the order. I cancelled and ordered from Madras instead
When I stepped in the door the aroma was divine. One of their workers was very good looking and made the experience much better and I could tell he worked out???????? enough said.
Delicious food and great service. Large portion sizes and good prices. I found my new lunch spot in prince George for sure
First time having mango lassi and I really enjoyed it. Great Indian food
Best Indian food in town. It does not matter what time of the day you go or what you eat here, its always fantastic!
Awesome Dal Makhani....I love it Same Dal I had eaten last year in ITC Bukhara , in new Delhi..best Indian food in Spice of life...
Visiting PG and recommend this restaurant. We did take out and it was delicious.
Only Sri Lankan restaurant in town, nice and fresh.
My girlfriend and I have been coming to Spice of Life for 4 years now on a regular basis. The food is excellent and it is our go to restaurant. This is a family run business and everyone is super friendly and treat us like family when we go there. Highly recommended especially if you like Indian food.
Such a sexy place. The delivery not is pretty cute and the service is amazing. De Casa Nove De Flex rly know how to sauce it up. 10/10 would much again
Been ordering take out there at least once a week for years now. Always good, always consistent food
We ordered Mango lassi and chocolate milk shake with our food. The mango lassi was sour and taste like mango flavour in water only and I think chocolate milk is thick then Chocolate milk shake of Spice of Life. Worst experience ever.
I love this place for Indian cuisine! The best experience with them so far has been ordering in as I like some heat in m y food so I tend to request all my food be spiced "hot" from them. I visited once for the buffet and they were very accommodating, offering freshly made naan to accompany the food. Downside to the buffet is they don't tend to jack up the spice but it makes sense considering many would not want their food too spicy. Having said that though, if you like heat, order the food rather than the buffet and you will not be disappointed!
Always delicious. Incredible Indian food and great staff! Best east Indian joint in town
Food is very good. Had the butter chicken and naan. Very delicious and nice lady brought to me with driver in college heights no problem on one of my previous orders. Friendly and food was nice and hot. I always order from here!
Food was awesome!!! Huge portions, very friendly accommodating staff. They also ask you how spicy you like your food and you can even go inbetween spice levels. We had the butter chicken, samosas, aloo tikki(which was FANTASTIC, def wished I ordered more lol) and another chicken dish with a cashew sauce. Everything was great and would go back again.
We were in the parking lot and a delicious aroma hit our noses. My wife and I said at the same time were is that coming from. We found it and went in to eat We have tried other South Asian Restaurants in Prince George this was by far the best !! We had Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Pakoras with Naan Bread. ♨️☑️ WE WILL GO THERE EVERYTHING TIME WE GET TO P.G
Beyond amazing service. Every. Single. Time. Placed a take out order online which was a seamless experience but was not sure if their tandoori paste had garlic (as I'm allergic). I had to call to make sure and originally they told me all of their pastes were made with garlic and so I decided to cancel my order. Not 4 minutes later they phoned me back saying they would be able to accommodate a garlic-less paste for my chicken tikka. I've always been very happy with their service but somehow, some way the next time we order the service is EVEN BETTER! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Oh and the food is to die for, definitely can't leave that out!
We ordered veg Manchurian and fried rice yesterday and it was delicious.i think people should definitely try spice of life.cheers.
One of the best places to get Indian food. The staff was pleasant and polite the whole time. The milk shakes are to die for. Next time i'm in town I will stop by again for some more delisious food!
Don’t let the small mall location fool you. This restaurant is big enough, nicely decorated, clean and tidy and has nice Indian music playing in the background. The service level and pace was great. The food was EXCELLENT! And perfectly hot for what we asked for. They have a terrific chef. I enjoyed the Daal Mahkni which is sometimes hard to find. Biryani and Naan perfect too. My only suggestion is to put a jug of ice cube water at each table. Would highly recommend. Go here!
Hands down my favourite Indian place in town. Butter chicken and aloo gobi are always on point. BUT.... they are always consistently late at least 15 -30 min behind pick up time so I end up waiting. Happened several times. Really need to give customers realistic pick up times!
best Indian food as compared to other restaurants
Not tasty that much as i thought. Other restaurants are much better
Clean and friendly staff, helpful in discussing flavors of dishes if wanting to try something new and spicier than normal.First visit they adapted to make a dish we've been craving...very good. This is our second visit...new dishes again with a favorite staple . Very delicious.
best Indian food, i have ever had. great, loving staff, fast and friendly service
Delicious food and outstanding service. This was our kids first Indian restaurant which turned out to be a huge hit. We'll be back soon.
The food is good. Just wish there was curry chicken in the buffet.
Good food. A table of 9 was a little big for having all food come out together. Naan bread is the best here.
Great food at a reasonable price. Haven't had a bad dish from the spice of life. Family run atmosphere, very caring and friendly staff. If your looking for great Indian food don't hesitate just call.
My favourite Indian restaurant in town! I wont order from anywhere else if I can help it!
Big fan of the butter chicken
Very good food, owners son is very friendly and informing on the spices used. Highly recommend this place
Food is amazing but forget about delivery it takes at least 1.5 to 2 hours.
Great food lots of flavors, wonderful service
Best food ever. Waiter was a lot of fun and very friendly
Great Indian food. Buffet and take out as well. A bit on the pricy side.
Love this place! I'm gonna have to come back to do a round two and to see if this is my new favorite place. So far go check this place out! Everything was wonderfully seasoned. I got the hot version of what I ordered, it was hot but I could still take the flavors of the dish, it didn't super light my mouth on fire. My girlfriend is a chai tea person and she said that it was hands down the best she's had.
This is the only place in town that I order from. My only complaint is that their they seem to have changed their non vegetarian somosa recipe since they opened. I preferred the original recipe by far.
Awesome food, awesome staff. Never have had a bad experience here. Highly recommend
Excellent food, excellent service. A solid recommendation if you're in the mood for Indian food.
Food is delicious, best place to go if you love indian food. Staff is very generous and customer service is top notch.
Great spot. Rent the Birdhouse or Trailview Lodge for your next stay in Golden BC
Very reasonable pricing. Quick, friendly service with a nice atmosphere. Food was very tasty!
Excellent service by staff and food is so fresh and tasty
Best place for Indian food Service is awesome so is the food
following the scent...I wandered in the door, asked for 2 samosas. I was told 5 to 7 minutes to wait, got home and devoured them with the wife. they were so yummy
I have been on the search for the Best Saag Paneer in town, and I have finally found it! Really delicious! Absolutely recommend!
Excellent Foods, Excellent Service. Always friendly. Take away is packaged well
Good taste.. Especially Dal Makhni
Best Indian food in Prince George and best I've had in BC. Murg Malai Tikka is one of the best things I ever ate. I love the Aloo Gobi. Saffron rice is amazing. The dishes are NOT salty like most other places. I just cant get enough. Also my toddlers love it
Wow affordable authentic and super delicious Indian food. Just moved from Edmonton but have never tasted such flavor with properly balanced spices in edmonton or calgary. All gravies have richness yet unique flavor.
We loved the indian food here and the staff was helpfull and friendly
Excellent service, tasty food. whatever you order is sure to satisfy highly recommend
Absolutely fabulous food, we ordered last night and every thing was so fresh and amazing flavors ????
Who has food orders without side of rice for that much $$$... Ripped off
Unbelievably good, perhaps some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Great for vegans as well.
Very friendly staff. They let me park my jeep there over night. Their assistance and professionalism is greatly appreciated and will be returning again with friends and family for some great food! :)
Great place. I love brown people! My next vacation will be to pakistan to always eat this divine cuisine!
There are 3 Indian restaurants in PG that have a buffet. Taking into consideration taste, service, and value, Spice of Life makes the top of my list.
Great food in very comfy environment. Best Indian food in P.G.
Ordered for our staff lunch. Tasted great, arrived on time and was hot. Reasonably priced. Great people to deal with.
Best indian food in prince georege, been coming here for years, tonight i had a craving for Paul's cooking so i just picked up chicken tikka masala with nann bread and veggie pakora, hands down delicious i would recomend going here whenever youre in the mood for indian food.
Tasty food, good price, friendly staff and fast service. If you enjoy Indian food, you will like this place. The Chicken Goa is especially good. We ordered medium with extra hot sauce on the side. It wasn't too spicy. If you like spice, then definitely go for the hot option.
After ordering food, I was told it would arrive in 40 minutes. After waiting 1 full hour I decided to call and make sure they hadn't missed my order. The woman told me my food was on its way. I live about 3 km from the restaurant. I then waiting another 20 minutes before calling again to see if there was a problem with my order, she again told me my food was on its way and would be there in 5-10 minutes. I then waited another 30 minutes making it a total of 1 hour and 50 minutes until my food arrived. Upon opening my food I was missing naan bread which was on my order and I had paid for, and the food was dry and luke-warm with no sauces, chutney etc. I would not recommend this restaurant or order from there again.
Absolute BEST Indian cusine in PG! You will not be disappointed!! Service is as great as the food! I also love that you can pick the spice level of most dishes ( mild or hot). Don't forget to check out the lunch and dinner buffet as well! A definite 5/5!
Some of the best Indian food I have ever had! Great customer service to top it off.
We visited this place owned by Mr Sharma twice. The food preparation is excellent, all spice used in cooking are made in-house by team led by Mr Sharma. Both occasion we found the quality of food, excellent.Do visit this place for authentic Indian food.
