Love their food, this was a go-to for Indian food when I lived in PG - I haven't found similar Indian take out since. Recently ordered it while visiting and not disappointed. They initially forgot to deliver our pakora and brought it back with surprise complimentary gulab jamun.
I love going here. Best food and great service.
We had ordered 4 aloo tikki with channa through Door dash The Alloo patty was frozen and it taste so bad.( seems not fresh) We called the restaurant to tell the issue we had and owner seems to not care. As we ordered it from door dash they informed it is the problem with the Door dash and we need to ask them. How do we call Door dash for food that is not fresh and not good? They does not even want to talk to the customer to empathize or apologize for below par product. May be they know and accept this fact or does not care about customer experience. Anyways will never dine or order for this place.. Disappointed with the response.
Everything in the menu tastes delicious. My personal favorites are Butter Chicken, Dal Makhani and Shahi Paneer. You should try it. Plus the price is very reasonable and affordable!!! ❤️
This is one of the top Indian cuisine restaurants in Prince George. They have delicious curries and breads and the portions are large. The stuffed naans are soft and fresh. The wait time while dining in can seem long especially because everything smells delicious but also because the times we have gone in it doesnt seem like many staff are on duty. The service, while the food is excellent, is not consistent as they do not tend to come back to check on the table. Other than that, and excellent place.
Ordered food for 5 people Butter chicken x3 Veggie Korma x2 Kadai Paneer x1 Pakora x3 Samosas -6 all together AMAZING FOOD! it was def enough for all 5 of us plus 1 more meal the next day. Thank you for making amazing food. I called my order in 3 hours early and then received a call 5 min previous to my pickup time and it was done. AMAZING service!.
We had a fantastic East Indian buffet lunch after our 3D iTour shoot at Dana Mandi. Parm was a wonderful server who was fast and really attentive. The food was excellent with many choices and everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. We discovered that they have a party room that can hold over 50 guests.....and a banquet hall not far away (The Hart Crown Banquet Hall) that can accomodate up to 300 guests. Perfect for every occasion. Can't wait to share the beautiful 3D iTour we produced so folks can walk through the restaurant and see the seatng arrangements and ambiance and vibe that this awesome local Prince George restaurant has to offer.
Average buffet, chicken in butter chicken are not real chicken, just the industrial pressed stuff. Naan bread was a little bit on the burned side on the underside. Had a bug on a hair in my rice. Nothing to go back for. Sorry.
If you love East Indian food, this place is not to be ignored. I absolutely love love love the tandoori chicken, and as another reviewer states, "even the side orders are a delicacy." There's always a real warmth about the place and the owners. Next time I visit my relatives in PG, I'll definitely be there. Thumbs up.
dana mandi used to be good. Then they got a new cook or something. The price went up, the sauce is watered down, naan bread salty and burnt, and hardly any chicken butter chicken made with tomato soup. Gone down hill. Wont order again. Goodbye dana mandi
Food was delicious, service was really good. Will go again
Only reason I'm not giving a 5th star today is because it says you are open on Google but actually closed. Best Indian food I've had in town is here I just wish you were open today :(
Poor customer service because i order shahi paneer and i found pieces of coal in it and they didn't listen me. Very poor.
The food was absolutely out of this world! It was spicy, authentic and full of flavour. The service was fantastic, but who cares about service when the food is this good! I visited Prince George for the weekend, and Dana Mandi alone is enough of a reason to return. A big thank you to the staff for an excellent dining experience.
I don’t eat Indian food often. Their dinner buffet was great! So much flavour. I’m sure it would’ve tasted even better if I hadn’t burned my tongue while drinking tea.
Best take out in town. Actually one of the best if not the best East Indian food restaurant we have had in a long time. Even the side orders are a delicacy. …
Delicious Shahi peneer. Very tasty food
Had date day lunch here with my husband, quality of food was spectacular. Brought home enough leftovers for Lunch tomorrow. I could eat the fish pakora everyday....so good it makes me dance....❤
I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is way too spicy and cold and to make it even worse it is not even close to Indian food.
Yesterday we ordered two plate channa samosas but the potatoes doesn't smells nice. It clearly seems that they doesn't delivered fresh food. Try to contact them and said we are able to pickup again. But we live far away from restaurant. Never recommended, can cause illness.
The staff is nice, the portions are generous and the food is better than most other Indian restaurants. The goat biryani is really good. I love the heat even though I don't generally like too much chilli. Their drink options are limited and the Indian tea is not very strong.
Love them! If you can just call them directly for delivery if you need to. More of the money goes to supporting this great local business. My fiancee loves the butter chicken and me the Chicken Tikka Masala. Great food, great prices, great serving sizes. Well worth the price. Edited: Been a while since I reviewed - food still tastes great. If you like Indian food it's the best in town imho.
Cold Gulab Jamun!! Seriously!! And took so much time for just them COLD!!!
This Amazing Indian restaurant is a real gem❤️. Loved loved the tasty dishes and homemade samosa. Quality ingredients and family run. It will be my go to when ever I am in PG from now on! Loved it. The people running it are absolutely sweet and full of hospitality and top service! The food was fast and 5 star.
Although the price is a bit expensive, I used to visit randomly here. Today, I had a bad experience with Goat Methi gravy, which is horrible. And no consideration for the comments during payment.
Butter chicken was watery, way too sweet, and had massive chunks of chicken in it. It felt like I was eating watery alphagehtis. I also ordered a Aloo Gobi which was an unseasoned, undercooked, watery. Very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again
Great food and super friendly staff!
Dana Mandy is my favorite Indian place in Prince George to eat. I have met the owner he's kind and I trust his facility to cook for me. My favorite dish is the goat masala it is not on the menu but they will make it for you! It is amazing I find it to be slightly better than lamb. I had the goat masala on July 21st 2021 I also ordered vegetable pakora and some naan bread with roti for dip. (Like yogurt dip with a few shaved carrots in it) the total came to $28.80 and this was an amazing meal I was so full and it was excellent !! They have a Clay oven that they cook the naan bread in and it makes it so good! I haven't eaten here in a while but I'm going to be going back very soon it's always very good. I honestly haven't had a bad meal in this place. The server was also very polite I speak a little bit of Punjabi with her and we joke around a bit . Very kind staff , that also makes the experience very pleasant! Thank you Dana Mandi keep up the great service !
Last week, I visited their, when I ordered Sahi panner and garlic naan. It was very delicious.
Worst to worst food. Spent more than 100$ to get back this much bad taste in return. Would never go and never let anyone go.
I travel from the Lower Mainland to Prince George for work and have come to learn about this wonderful restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious, good sized portions, reasonably priced and friendly service. Have had only positive experiences at this lovely little spot.
I don’t know the food was not bad and not so tasty as well i ordered malai kofta and aloo kulcha with roti rotis were not cooked properly
I made an order with coconut curry and butter chicken, we didn’t get rice or naan with it. My daughter called to ask why and she told us you only get it when you dine in and not for take out than the lady on the phone hung up on us. Great customer service and false advertising on skip.
Friendly (but busy) staff. Excellent food. Large portions. Clean dining area. They also have lunch buffet ($14.99) and dinner buffet ($17.99).
The food is fantastic the staff is prompt and courteous....the whole place smells amazing the second you walk in the door
Fair pricing, scrumptious options, absolutely amazing service and food everytime. The butter chicken is to die for, and don't even get me started on the prawn korma. Dana Mandi has never failed me... I will continue to order there as they have always had such delicious, delectable food. Try something new whenever you order, they will always pleasantly surprise you. Love this business! They always accommodate your needs.
Delicious Indian food We had the buffet and thoroughly enjoyed the selection of food.. Items were flavourful, fresh and hot. Beer was icy cold served with a frost glass. A great find in PG
One of the best place to order Indian food. Fastest service with excellent taste.
Very nice and delicious food, my go to when ever I wish to eat east indian food!!
I ordered the vegi korma and rice, the food was disgusting. i had never tried this meal before but it’s safe to say i will not be coming back again.
We love, love, love the food. Working our way through the menu. So far Tikki Masala is my favourite. Service is hit and miss.
Best Indian restaurant in town service is great delicious food amazing fish pakora is the best
Best indian food in town.
I'm giving them two stars because the price in the menu is not the actual price they charge (ex : a 10$ becomes a 14.99) No napkins or cutlery. Or even bothered asking Food leaked in the beg and made a mess in the car. So I called and then had nothing to say or even a apology. On a good note the food was good. Too expensive compared to other good tasty restaurants.
First and foremost, I have been eating here for years and have always loved it. However. Tonight my partner and I ordered our food and requested it be made a little more mild than usual. (As our last order was too spicy as well). We explained this and said a mix between their mild and medium. Oh my goodness. We could hardly eat it. And I have grown up eating curry and spicy Jamaican food. I have always ordered my food medium here. But clearly they have made changes as I couldn't finish my dinner. Which was a shame for $48.00. I recommend mild even for established spicy food fans. We were unfortunately quite disappointed. But as I said. I have almost always had a positive experience.
I heard so much about this place from my knowns, but must say i am not satisfied with the taste of food at all. Being a punjabi, i know how punjabi food tastes, it was nowhere near. I tried buffet today and the items in buffet, were stale, …
Good food ???? amazing taste spiecily vegetable korma???? one of my favorite and friendly staff
This is a very good Indian restaurant has a lunch a diner buffet friendly staff
I used to love their food but this time I ordered and found a long black hair in my food. This is terrible never gonna order again
I had a terrible experience with this restaurant. We ordered thali everything was tasteless. The worst thing is owner seems very rude to us when one of my friend went for complaining. She doesn't know how to behave with customers. I don't like this restaurant very bad experience strongly denied to everyone.
