Service is slow....stopped in on my lunch break and waited 20 mins for 20 seconds if service because 2 associates were helping the same customer. A customer is a customer whether they are spending $10 or $100

I have been a patron of Birch and Boar since they opened and they never cease to amaze me with their top notch customer service and their extremely high quality of food. I have been eating haggis every year since I was a young lad and this year I heard Birch and Boar were making some so I had to get my hands on one. I ended up buying two by accident but boy am I glad I did. We warmed it up in the oven and basted with a beef broth and it turned out amazing. I had to work so I couldn’t attend the Burns suppers in town so my Mom made this one for me. I sincerely hope that next year they will be serving “this” Haggis as it will change anyone’s mind who believes they have an aversion to it. The texture was vastly different that most versions I’ve had rough with big pieces of onion, and the way it was spiced was very thoughtful, not overpowering by any means but you could really taste the cloves, nutmeg and pepper. We had to call down after dinner and see if they had more and supposedly there are two left! William told us over the phone about how he learned how to make it in Edinburgh. Aside from this lengthy review of the haggis which I am so fond of, this establishment continues to put out an exceptional product and provide remarkable customer service. I am very proud to support this local Prince George establishment.

I'm so happy this great local business has expanded to a store front. Previously available at the Farmer's Market, they now have a full slate of grocery products, including fresh local produce, lots of tinned goods both local and from abroad, delicious cheeses, and of course an amazing selection of meat products. We enjoyed a fresh made sandwich, and also picked up some house made salami, a white stilton with apricot, and an extra aged Dutch Gouda.

Bought my haggis there this year. By far the best we ve ever had !!!!! Apparantly there maker used to work in Edinburgh Scotland where he learned the recipe . Really. Really good . There hard crust bread sandwiches are like in Europe. Wonderful place for Prince George to support .
