Donair meat is same as gyro meat (beef and lamb mix) despite being advertised as all beef. Found this out after I ordered and had to get something else as lamb makes me sick. Other than poor advertising food is great.

Very much appreciate the staff up there, and they carry the best garlic fingers on the island. However, the pizza just isn't very good. Bland crust, chunky bland sauce, toppings are fine. By the slice, it's like eating cardboard after any amount of time in the heater. Everything else is pretty decent, but skip the pizza.

Stayed in St. John's for the wèekend. Asked our Costco cashier for "best pizza in town". She recommended Acropolis. Had medium, well done, thin crust delivered to our hotel. Delivery driver was pleasant. Pizza arrived hot and was very delicious! Highly recommend this place!

I used to like the pizza from here as the best around, but something changed with the dough or the sauce. The pizza is like any other place around, but more expensive. With that said, order anything else off the menu and I always love it. I love the taters, the gyro is a favourite, and the nacho grande is my favourite thing ever. Give it a go, but if you're just going for pizza then I'd go elsewhere.

Pizza is o..k. its a 2 dollar slice for like 6 bucks. guy who served me was less than stellar. to be honest he acted like he was there against his will like being forced by your parents vs working for some money. very bland, lifeless person, maybe he was on his 3rd shift working a triple or something. the girl who handed me the pizza was much more upbeat.

Last night I ordered a poutine with dressing and bacon strips. It was honestly so disgusting it felt like they microwaved it. I love this place but lately it has been horrible. I even called to complain and nobody really cared. I hope they figure things out but I won’t be spending my money there again.

Small slice Tuesday as it was known when I was in high school. Or "toonie" Tuesday. You can get a slice for 350 on toonie Tuesday. They've stepped up their game over the years. Top tier slice. Sometimes you get a cookie which is partially heated by your delicious slab. Also they have killer nachos, although I've never had them myself, just heard it was a pearl legend. Also you're right next to another "take out" if you're down to clown in cougar Town. 11/10

Delicious and cheap!! Huge servings for the price. My husband and I got 2 slices of pizza, and it came with a cookie each which is a new thing apparently. It all came to $11 which was the cheapest meal we ate for our whole trip! Very filling and satisfying. Will definitely come here again on my next trip to NL.

Fastest pizza spot lunchtime for a slice. In and out in under a minute sometimes. Pizza is great, good selection of drinks, cookie comes with the slice. What more do u want? Spice on it? Well I just found out there's a spice rack on the right to throw on your za! Crazy. I'm here at least once a week and will continue to be going here for lunchtime slices

I really like the food here, the poutines are always on point, the cheese is melted perfectly and they don't cheap out on it either, you get a lot of cheese, fries, and gravy, it's a tasty mess. Also the pizza is great, I haven't had better pizza anywhere else. It's one of my favorite places to get takeout.

Ordered take out from this restaurant today - got the pizza home to discovered it was covered in things I didn't ask for and dislike - called to discuss and clarify my order - confirmed what was supposed to be on my pizza. They then sent a replacement without the toppings I paid for or wanted. I was advised I would get free toppings on my next purchase - these folks are bad at what they do and will take your money for it either way. Zero out of 5 stars for folks who can't take an order properly or make it right when it comes to their attention they didn't give what the customer paid for.Two full pizzas lining my garbage can and they offered me free toppings. Will absolutely never give this place any money ever again.

Excellent pizza, and donair. You can call in for a pickup and have it ready for when you get there. Most menu items you can get with a drink for $6-7 before 2pm. Only downside is in the evening since it's located next to a popular bar, you will see a lot of drunk people around and in the store.

One of the worst experiences with pizza. I used to love the place but something changed drastically with the pizza. About a year ago we ordered a large pizza and when it came here it was literally soaked in grease. It was sliding off our plates and disgusting. We let it sit in the box overnight and the next day we opened it and the grease hardened and covered the whole pizza in a white gel of grease. It was absolutely wretched. So my family and I never ordered from their again. A year later we decided to give it anot her shot. Called and placed our order with a young woman that was very rude and when we got there our order was wrong. So we just took half of our order home. It was a pizza. When we opened it and grabbed a slice it was once again just covered in grease and tasted disgusting. If you want an overload in soggy grease pizza pie and throw up afterwards this is the place to go. Will never order it again as long as I live and I recommend to you "stay away" unless you want the runs for a week.

The food at Acropolis appears simple, but the flavors have remarkable depth. Acropolis is best known for pizza, poutines, nachos and late night drunk food. When not overrun by high school students on lunch break, the shop is both clean and tidy—despite having limited space and more customers than can fit inside at one time—and all the staff members there greeted my friends and me with smiles. I would thoroughly recommend Acropolis to anyone. The Pizza and Garlic finger combos are always a good deal. The nachos can be big enough servings for a crew of friends. The poutines are filling. A staple to the St. John's pizza scene since I can remember. Wait time is Good, as you get your food fairly quickly and almost never have to wait a long time. The prices are a bit higher than some places like Domino's, but you get what seems like food that is more fresh. You often get big portions for the price you pay.
