Surprisingly good burgers.
We have traveled many places and always like to try eggs bendicte, The Point makes the best we've ever tried anywhere and it's right in our own backyard. It's like a party for your taste buds. Also dinner is fantastic recently had the brisket was amazing.
Great little spot in Sydenham with excellent breakfasts. You have to try the Princess eggs Benedict. Out of this world.
Delicious as ever
Amazing food, great size portions, reasonably priced. A little bit of casual elegance in Sydenham Village. Staff are friendly and courteous and make you feel at home. A must try!
We had takeout tonight and it was top notch! Very delicious! We will be back and would recommend The Point Restaurant to anyone!
Great atmosphere and quality.
Recommended to use by the guy at LCBO, glad we went...so delicious.
What a great place to stop north of Kingston. Food was excellent and the fries are top shelf
We finally got here this weekend and the food was amazing! Kids breakfasts were only $4.00 but even the kids meals were presented in a way where you would think you were paying fine dining prices. The Daigle Bagel is a must try item!
Atmosphere & location nice. Food was good. Menu is bit pricey! C
Amazing food. Extremely clean. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend. The new tile looks really nice.
All of the food here is superb but their french onion soup is quite honestly the best I've had...ever!!!
Excellent!!
Great food. Good portions
Never a bad experience. Food a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for...and more. It's worth it. Yummmmdiggity!
Just had the bacon cheese burger and it was delicious.
Easily the best brunch I have ever had. I had the french toast with a blueberry milkshake. The milkshake was made with milk real icecream and real fresh blueberries. The french toast was perfectly moist and made with slices from a french loaf rather than a simple slice of regular white bread. It came with a real blueberry sauce and fresh blueberries with just the right amount of whipped cream, not out of a container or can. I also tried their brisket Benedict with a Sriracha hollandaise sauce. It came together perfectly with a nice sweet spice aftertaste. Just as a finishing touch all of the plating was just beautiful. Truth be told I was not expecting so much from such a small restraunt. Simply incredible 10/10
Went to The Point restaurant Sunday morning for brunch,OMG, absolutely amazing! Hubby had the Brisket Benedict, I had the French toast, coffee and OJ, freaking fantastic! 3rd time eating here, met an older couple who cycle in from Kingston to eat here, that’s a 54 kms round trip cycle ride! That alone says a lot for the lengths people will go to eat here! We came up from Ottawa. We had a lovely chat with them while having our coffee outdoors by the patio. I unfortunately didn’t get the name of the other lady working in the kitchen, Caroline and Jess are the dynamic team of this small, simply decorated awesome establishment......we arrived early, anticipating it would get busy, which it did! Full house inside and out on patio before 10:30am. If you venture out this way, keep in mind it gets super busy, and there is only the three of them working and because they’re just that damn good,so it could take abit of time to get your order, but it’s bloody well worth the wait! You will not be disappointed! Forget the chain restaurants and get to The Point! Show your support to this local business, your tastebuds will thank you! If your passing thru, check the website or Facebook page for full hours of operation......thanks Caroline and Jess and staff!!
Amazing food & service!!
amazing poutine n lovely staff
Waited almost 2 hours for $10delivery for it to be made incorrect and to get burnt fries. Also didn't give me a receipt after asking for one
Fantastic food. Entirely unexpected. Had steak special and my partner had eggplant parm. Both were exceptional.
Food is great.. everything is gluten free so i have a wider choice of items on the menu.
Staff was friendly, and burger and fries were really good. I ll return, for sure.
Friendly staff, good food, good prices. We were camping in Frontanac and stumbled across The Point . I recommend this place highly. The Senora was excellent Thank you !
They forgot my order, completely, did not provide plates or cutlery, but my family said the fish and chips were good
Great food, great small town atmosphere
Great food, good spacing for safe outdoor dining, and we were able to have our dog sit near us by the patio instead of being forced to leave him in the car. It would have been nice if the restaurant was licensed to serve alcohol.
Late afternoon lunch, they are friendly and even the head chef came out to ask what we feel like having. Food was tasty, layers of flavour and the brisket sandwich was superb and moist - oh yeah! My family had grilled cheese sandwich, burger and fish and chips. All were thumbs up from the family. Call and ask first about their specials, or check out their online menu, in case you expect something that may have been posted online and it is not available- so you don't get sad and feel disappointed. Otherwise, a good meal with big taste!
We were a group from Montreal and Toronto and we had two meals at this place. We unanimously decided that it's not only good but actually one of the best meals we have had. Their "Brisket Benedict" for brunch is to die for. Highly recommended.
Great lunch after coming off the trail from the Frontenac Challenge... fresh substantial food well prepared and presented
beautiful view and excelent food. enjoyed the porkbelly sandwich and rose for a late vacation lunch
Both the food and service is amazing, then to top it all off you've got a lovely walk to the water when you are finished.
We stopped by when the restaurant was not actually open for lunch yet... The owner/chef, Carolyn Teal, was very gracious and offered to prepare a couple of meals for us. Wonderful food, and obviously good service! Hard to beat being served by the chef herself! The only reason I could not give 5 stars is that we did not have access to the full menu. I am sure it would have been great though! We will definitely go back.
Everything about our special Valentine's dinner was lovely. But the chocolate cake was to die for. Thank you.
Our dinner was amazing. Always relaxing and friendly atmosphere ????
Pretty good food, it's nice to have a place to eat in Sydenham, but prices are a bit higher.
Very reasonable prices. Great food and great staff. Gluten-free options available!
Heard good things but thought it was average for breakfast.
A terrific lunch
My husband and I have been here a couple of times. Fabulous food and such friendly service. We will be back!
Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Was busy ,but owner seated 2 groups who came in after us ,was there 55 minutes before getting a menu ,then nobody ever did take our order.Never again ,understaffed and no idea how to run a restaurant.
Excellent food. In lovely Sydenham. Come and enjoy you won't be disappointed.
Nice location! But their drink menu was not very large.
Fantastic place! Everything is clearly made fresh and from scratch, with talent by the chef. The burger and haddock choices are just awesome- looking forward to trying all the items. And even the kids' noodles and butter is made with fresh noodles. Friendly team and efficient timing as well. If you're not in the area, it's a short, picturesque trip from Kingston or the 401- well worth it.
Just went for tea and coffee.
Good food, fair prices, definitely better than anything else close by.
I just nutted as soon as I got one bite into me ! Great place ! Fun for the whole family !
Cozy restaurant, friendly staff, and absolutely delicious food. Will be coming again next time I'm visiting Frontenac PP.
They have good food. But I've gone a few times now including tonight, during their business hours and they were closed. I even tried calling ahead. The voice mail hours indicated they were open, so I drove into town only to find they weren't. Disappointing as I was looking forward to some tasty food.
Favourite place in town to grab a bite! Breakfast and brunch are amazing!
Favourite local restaurant. Food is 5☆. Friendly staff. Surprising hidden gem.
Excellent meal!
Nice place for a small town .good menu and cross section of choices
Awesome menu and friendly service
By far the best food in Frontenac
Great food and service! By far my favourite restaurant to eat at.
Great made from scratch soup and mains. Friendly service and fair pricing.
We had lunch here today, and it was a breakfasty style menu, with various takes on eggs Benedict, omelettes, fancy French toast, that kind of thing. The food was actually really delicious, and unusual, not typical breakfast flavors. The prices ranged from about 13 dollars to 17 dollars. More than breakfast in some restaurants, but a nice change for brunch.
Fantastic food. Fair prices. Gluten free options!
Friendly staff and excellent food. A very creative menu with vegetarian options that were more than just an afterthought.
Had a great meal the other night on the patio. Worth trying for sure. Very friendly waitress, food was great! Fresh bread on sandwiches which is a must. I will come back again????
Fabulous! Big group all food delicous. Incredible sauces.
This is a good place to eat
Great local spot! Would eat here again for sure
Best food! Gourmet! Great Customer service.
We are a group of animal loving women who get together every month or two for a lunch and lots of girly cat talk. The Point is our 'go to' restaurant. Love the homey atmosphere, staff are awesome and the food is to die for. Lots of vegetarian dishes for me to choose. I try something new each visit. The presentations are beautiful. I highly recommend this lovely little spot. Bon Appetite!
My son had I had dinner here on 5 November 2020. What a surprising delight. Our meals and dessert were amazing, and the presentation was spectacular. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a high end restaurant quality in a quaint little village setting. The chef is exceptional, and our server was a gem. We highly recommend.
Great taste, Great portions. Very impressed with my experience at The Point. Thanks guys!
Great little diner style restaurant in small town with very good brunch , breakfast options. Well prepared and plentiful. Great friendly service.
Very nice place
Relaxing environment, with great food.
April 2019: Philly Egg Rolls - made to order! Stuffed with shaved beef, onion, pepper, mushroom, cheese sauce, and sour cream. These babies are fresh, and melt in your mouth delicious! The Point Burger - fresh ground, local beef, sauteed mushrooms, carmelized onions, cheddar, peppercorn mayo, and crispy hot peppers. Mike Hector: Writer & I added bacon! I've enjoyed this burger w/o it, but I do love bacon on my burgers, so this time, I didn't go without! Tried three mayos with my fries - Roasted Tomato, Green Peppercorn, plus Chipotle and Thyme. So #yummy! July 2018 : The best iced coffee we'd ever had! We both had two tall glasses each, while we ate our appetizer - a ring of towers and chipotle dipping sauce! For my meal, I enjoyed the Point Burger with bacon, Mike had the special that day - Veal Parmesan! We can back the next day to cool off with a Chocolate, and Orange (think creamsicle) Milkshakes and share two desserts - chocolate fudge cake and a raspberry cheesecake! March 2018 : Great food, fast and friendly service! Make sure you stop here for a meal - or two or more! I had the chicken club - avocado creamo, moist chicken and thick sliced local bacon, tomato lettuce triple decker deliciousness. My husband had the briskwich - brisket slow cooked in a Louisiana bourbon sauce. I stole a bite - worth it! And save room for dessert - or a milkshake!
This place is Exceptional! Super friendly service. Amazing food! And very reasonably priced! It's a hidden gem in Sydenham... you won't be disappointed!
This IS the definition of "Hidden Gem" when it comes to fresh homemade gourmet food, and without the big city prices! Every dish has been a 5-star experience.
Excellent meal, great service
Awesome monthly dinner club meal. Carolyn can cook!
First time there. Food was ok. Service was good.
Awesome
Excellent food as always !
yum! Awesome & affordable food! !!
Great breakfast! Unique menu.
Really nice change from the previous restaurants. Good quality food. Great tastes. A little more pricey (in comparison to the previous establishments here) but seriously worth it for the quality. Will be going back again and again.
I love this restaurant but unfortunately it is closed due to covid.
Excellent food, different from the usual, and Carolyn and Jess are awesome, check it out you will agree.
Well isn't this the hidden gem. Had the brisket and chicken pulled poutine(I know they had me at poutine) and philly steak eggrolls, total foodgasm! yeah in the words of Arnold "I'll be back"
