The ribs and chicken were tasty and tender...delish! I really liked the beans... nice complement to the smokiness of the meat. I LOVED the BBQ sauce. Thanks for the generous side. Wasn't so enthusiastic about the chowder...a little bland, and the slaw was a bit sour and mushy. Overall, great value and yummy mains. I would choose the chili as my side next time, but 2 thumbs up for a repeat visit and i will be recommending to others. Great service too!

Simple, good tasting Texas bbq. We had the Texan - brisket, pork and chicken. Each meat was cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of smoke. Their Carolina-style mustard sauce is a great compliment to the bbq, enhancing the flavour of the meats.

Very juicy and tender meat. We have not seen so much meat! The menu is hilarious, we appreciated it. Great experience with the seating outdoors, in the individual bench areas. Kinsip brewery is right next door. We had the Kinsip summer sangria, the old fashion, and the lavender fizz. Great drinks!

Big Mike's BBQ and team catered our wedding of 110 guests back in October 2018 (at the Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough). They created an incredible spread for cocktail hour while our guests explored the museum, and a delicious dinner buffet with all the texan bbq fixings! We lost count of the number of guests who raved about how good the food was! Thank you Big Mike's BBQ for being so professional and providing us with a great food experience on our special day! Stopped here while at Barley Days Brewery. AMAZING BBQ, seriously this guy knows what he is doing. We ordered the Texan for 2 and it was the perfect amount of food for me and my wife for lunch (see photo). The meat was unbelievable! Tender and juicy easy to eat. I'd take this over ribfest anytime. I'll be back when I can.

We had Big Mikes BBQ during Fall 2020 Countylicious. The food was AMAZING; the brisket, ribs and chicken were all super tender and with a flavourful BBQ rub. The sides of cornbread was fresh and delicious and the Mustard slaw was great too. I had the Texas sheet cake for dessert and found it to be moist and had a great chocolate flavour. My husband had the apple crumble and he loved the tangy apple flavour and the crunchy crumble on top. In addition the portion sizes were very generous; in fact we got so much food that I froze some of the meats so we can enjoy them another time. This was a fabulous meal and a great value. On top of all that, both Mike and Trish are very friendly people. I highly recommend Big Mike's BBQ PEC to anyone who wants good value and delicious food served with a genuine smile. Wow! Just wow! I've seen big Mike post on IG and I can safely say his food is as good as it looks! We had the meat sweats platter and it hit the spoke. The chicken was amazing! Meat falling of the bone. The brisket melted in my mouth! And don't even get me start on his BBQ SAUCE! Highly recommend. Worth the drive from Oshawa to Picton. And absolutely worth the price!!

We often go in search of delicious BBQ in Ontario and we've found a handful of spots we've loved but Big Mike's is hands down THE BEST we've had. We got there at the end of the day before close and were lucky enough to get our hands on the last of the brisket, sausage, ribs and cornbread. Everything tasted amazing. Mike and his wife were so welcoming and you can tell he has a passion for what he does. Still dreaming of this food and can't wait to come back again.

Always a smile on their faces and great BBQ on our plates! Large portions and fair prices. Beautiful location during the summer at Kinsip (my kids love the chickens) and cute wooden booths to sit at. Travels well as takeout too (brought a couple orders of Meat Sweats home when I had some friends over for a backyard BBQ treat withoit any clean up). My Dad demands I bring him some if their BBQ sauce whenever I visit him! They really seem to love sharing their passion for BBQ with everyone.

Wow, the food was delicious. The ribs really stood out and were just falling off the bone. Make sure you arrive early to guarantee yourself some food. We were lucky that they still had some food left when we arrived a bit more than an hour before closing. There are a bunch of picnic tables to eat at as well as some "bubble barns".

I've eaten great BBQ all over he United States and Canada, and Mike's stuff is as good as it gets. He favours a traditional Texas approach that yields awesome results that let the meat and smoke shine through. Be sure to try the beef short ribs if he has them. Cornbread is the real stuff (probably 50%butter!). Worth the detour!

What a wicked spread. The ribs and the cornbread for me. Ribs were a full length not a short cut rib. Cooked great. No sauce just a nice rub. Cornbread had a great amount of butter and a touch of sea salt in a gently crusted base.

Pleasantly surprised! My husband wanted to drive 25 minutes on some county road to visit a food truck and I was skeptical. But the food turned out to be delicious and it was a fun adventure. Definitely worth the price and fun for kids too as there's a nearby chicken coop! The staff was also very nice. They made a mistake on our order and we ended up getting free nachos!

Great food spot. A nice bonfire in the middle surrounded by a series of huts on one side and park benches on the other for seating. Makes for great outdoor dining rain or shine. This place gets quite busy and the parking lot can fill up pretty quickly. The parking is shared by the Kinsip Distillery next door, so it won’t hurt to plan ahead if you can.

Literally some of the best ribs and brisket I've ever put in my gob. Super nice truck crew, didn't stay to eat but the views looked quite nice.
