Food quality is good and ordered a pizza (6 slices) and two Caesar salads. Bill was $46+ tax with the salads being $14 each....really, $14 for a small basic salad? Salad price is outrageous for the serving size. Will not be back....very disappointing.

I will never go to this restaurant again. Ordered our meal and when it came, it was not what we ordered. The waitress was argumentative, insisted that was what we ordered and provided the worst customer service I have ever encountered . As a small business owner myself, i was taken back by the attitude we received. She eventually brought my lunch guest her original.order but failed to bring mine. I mentioned this to another waitress and when our original waitress returned, after some time, she brought us another lunch plate we had originally ordered. And.of course, her attitude. When we received our bill, you know, she charged us for both meals. $100.00 for lunch. CRAZY. When I tried to talk to her about the bill, she became argumentative and I truly thought she was going to start yelling at us. Nope, will not go back to this place again. If you are contemplating going to One Fine Foods take my advise, , DON'T. Worst customer service ever. Since posting this review, the owner responded offering us a free lunch. I went to the site he indicated and to date, I have yet to get a response or receive a free lunch. Again, very disappointed.

Amazing and unique experience dining there. Food is so interesting and delicious, and a lot is made on premise so it has a natural and good vibes feel to their atmosphere and food! Great also for vegetarians, as there's lots of options for that diet.

After my horrid experience last year I was invited to come back and see what one fine food could do. I was not disappointed. The menu was much more down to earth, the prices more reasonable, the dining room more clean, the food itself was better and more composed, it was a complete 180. I had the roast beef sandwich at the advice of my waitress and she was not wrong. The horseradish aioli was fresh and flavorful, the lettuce added the right bitter notes to keep the beef from being too heavy, and shockingly, the salad was a real star on the plate with rhubarb for sweetness, the sour cheese played very well with the chopped hazelnuts, and every leaf was perfectly coated with what I can honestly say was one of my favorite vinaigrettes. My wife got the veal sandwich, which used some perfectly textured peppers and onions with the marinara, bread with the perfect chew, and a roasted carrot soup that was to die for. But to start things off we had the salumi board. With duck, speck, salami, and even WILD BOAR. Gorgonzola cheese, a couple wonderful dips, bread triangles, and a bowl of olives. I will definitely be back, 110% impressed!

Restaurant has some of the best food in Peterborough. Pizza is done in an incredible wood fired stove and some of the festive ever had. Also has a great little cafe, dessert/bakery, and the grocery part has a lot of high quality stuff from Europe and local produce/meat. Will always be back.

Specialty shop and restaurant. I can only speak to the shop and not the restaurant on this review. I found that it was very expensive for many of the items on display. Many of the items you can find at various shops in town at a lower price but I guess it is all in one spot.

Not only is the food and staff amazing but One Fine Foods is dealing with the covid 19 crisis in a very responsible and thoughtful manner. They are doing everything according to protocol. Staff are masked and very aware of physical distancing. The placement of tables on their patio are appropriately spaced. They also ask patrons to fill out their name and phone # should there be the need to contact them regarding a positive case of covid 19. I truly applaud them as I have not personally heard/ or witnessed any other restaurants/patios following these same protocols. If you want to be safe and finally enjoy a lovely meal on a patio...visit One Fine Food! A step above the rest!! Well done.

First time there and overall impression of the place is good. Selective items, good quality but high prices. We thought you get what you pay for and took few grocery items and tiramisu from the cafe. Tiramisu looked good but that was it. It was the worst tiramisu i ever tasted. The cake was hard and the topping was even harder. The 1 dollar tiramisu at freshco freezer is better than this fine fresh tiramisu as advertised. I wanted to dine there but tasting the tiramisu made me choose otherwise. I will stay away from their fine selections from now. Pretentious at best!!!!!

Had a reservation and arrived to find three parties waiting to be seated. After all of us standing there for 15 minutes without any acknowledgement (and numerous open tables) the parties in front of us gave up and left. We held on. Finally a waitress arrived and said they were very short staffed and we could stay if we wanted but it would take a while. Uncool One Fine Foods! We had company with us and it was completely embarrassing to be caught out with no where to eat when we had booked days ahead. Completely inexcusable that every staff member walked by all of the people waiting and ignored us all. You lost 8 patrons tonight.

JUNE 1 UPDATE - Hostess profiled patrons on appearance. While running all kinds of truck based errands and grabbing supplies for outside work this morning, we both felt like a lovely pizza treat. Work pants and boots, hoodies and ball caps, I joked to my wife if we were "dressed enough" for One Fine Food... Didn't realize I was foreshadowing. Walked into a 1/4 full restaurant and a less than warm hostess looked at us and proceeded to direct us to the back of the restaurant next to the restrooms. Let me be clear; the middle tables where we always sit (and we frequent this place) were for the most part empty. When questioning her placement, she moved us one table over - still on the back wall, still near the "can". Questioned her again, she said "then where do you want to sit" and snickered. Hard to say if we'll be returning if this is the practice of judging your patrons placement on appearance - or are your prices lower at the back of house near the toilets? Shameful. Changed from 5 stars to 1. - Original review Proper wood fired pizza with fresh ingredients and an ice cold Peroni to boot - the restaurant portion of this place is too notch. On the other side, a lovely little shop with a wide selection of high quality and sometimes hard to find ingredients - all around, super experience.

This was our first visit to the restaurant. We ordered a variety from appetizer and pizza to salad and pasta. The first bread served was cold but once we asked the waitress was more than accommodating to bring warm bread. All the food and alcoholic beverages were superbly done. The place is nice and clean and inviting. The service is very good. If you ask for paper napkins, they are not too generous. They are the small cocktail size. For their mimosa they used real prosecco so quite nice. All and all a very pleasant experience and we will be back.

We had a reservation but it took about 20 minutes before we were seated. The food was incredible. Bread and bruschetta were amazing. However the food took over an hour since the kitchen was prioritizing takeout orders vs dine in. I'd definitely go back but only off peak hours.

OMG my new favourite place in Peterborough. I had absolutely delicious fried calamari with an aioli dip. They provided focaccia bread at no cost and I had a glass of wine. The menu if very good and they are known for the fresh pizza. Yet...it's a grocery store. What a fantastic concept. You can go to the restaurant section or grocery section and if you want to you can grab a glass of wine from the restaurant and take it shopping with you. Great quality of food and alcohol and friendly staff. Not to mention the amazing cafe latte I just finished. Thank you for a very positive experience. I will be back

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Peterborough! They upgraded their outdoor patio and it's perfectly suited for all weather conditions. The inside of the store is always very clean and organized, and they offer a variety of food selections. They have delicious wood oven pizzas, and wonderfully flavored pastas. I love their homemade ricotta as an appetizer but it is definitely made for sharing. Lastly, try their coffee and their tiramisu and carrot cake square for dessert. Enjoy!

Went here while we were out for our son’s Birthday. Didn’t have reservations but the hostess was able to find us a spot. The waitress was super nice, the food was great especially the Aglio. The service was good and they have a nice patio out in the parking lot. The mussels in the pasta wasn’t fresh at all which was a bit disappointing.

I stumbled upon my own review from over a year ago and wanted to create a new one, but it did not seem to give me that option - so here I am updating things. One, as we affectionately refer to it now, has become a staple of our family during COVID. The quality ingredients and the exceptional service bring us back - and the kids (7 and 5) love the pizza... to the point they will try nothing else. The Peroni on tap is so authentic, as is the custom pizza oven imported from Italy. The market and bakery next door build on the foundation of quality and authenticity - the butcher shop is arguably the best in town, though a bit of a hidden secret. Same staff for the duration of COVId is another positive, as we all know...

One Fine Food fell short this evening with a depressing array of raw, bland fingerling potatoes and a tough, overcooked steak. Love the atmosphere, and usually the plates are prepared with love, but tonight was a rather bitter disappointment for a reservation made well in advance. Based on tonight alone, there's room for improvement. Unfortunately, I can't redo dinner with in-laws from out of town.

--- UPDATE --- Reducing from a 4 to a 2 star review. We just tried to grab bite to eat here on a Saturday afternoon amidst gardening/work/errands. Dressed more for work than brunch, I suppose, as the hostess was rude and seated us in the far back corner next to the bathroom (which honestly, is the worst spot in the house at any restaurant). We asked to move and she shifted us one table over, despite the place having maybe 20 tables available. We said no thank you as she curtly responded "Then where do you want to be". So we said we would go. Looking back as we walked out she was laughing with other wait staff. Unprofessional. Unacceptable. Unappreciated. If there is a dress code. Make it known. Have been here dozens of times and have always enjoyed the food and service. There are many other places to choose from with much more pleasant experiences to offer. Ironically looking back at my original four star review I am reminded of the rude experience at the coffee bar. I had overlooked it completely as the following visits were great. Will think twice before coming in again. --- ORIGINAL REVIEW --- The restaurant at One Fine Food was lovely. We shared a wood fired pizza and it was worth every penny. We would definitely come back for that. Great service, wine selection and our pizza was perfect. I ordered a piece of tiramisu to go, and honestly have never been so disappointed. Tiramisu is one of my favourite desserts but I never make it myself because it makes too much. One slice would be perfect, I thought! But it's like they forgot the coffee! It was dry, the cake was dense and it just tasted like bland mascarpone. Also the service at the coffee/dessert bar was horrible. The girl working ignored us and had a conversation with the woman in front of us for several minutes to the point that we almost left. It wasn't worth the wait with the sub par dessert. Will be back for the pizza!

Genuinely love the staff and the quality, plus selection of foods they offer. Since the pandemic, the delivery service has been a blessing. I am unfortunately unhappy with the sudden rise of prices and lack of communication plus their marketing material. The website needs a makeover and the owners need to pay more attention to details.

November 1st. Had a great lunch. A bit pricey but food was good. It included an appetizer with a argulia salad and fried calliamari (very tender, I am probably spelling this wrong) main dish had bay scallops, shrimps ( tails removed) and mussels. The bay scallops were to small to see. A bit spicy, but good.

First visit. Enjoyed sharing the antipasti board and the pera salad with glass of white wine. The rum cake from the bakery side was wonderful too. The other side has a wonderful selection of meat, cheese, fresh bread, oils/vinegars and other delicious items. Would love to come back for the patio when warmer. The pizza looks fabulous. Definitely returning and do recommend to others

Great unique grocery store, nowhere else like in in Peterborough! Great coffee and gelato too! Although we do love the restaurant, we have stopped going due to service unfortunately. It is much too slow to receive your food, including the last time when we waited over 20 minutes to be acknowledged by anyone as we stood at the front and servers walked by and did notice us, but didn't say anything to us. We ended up leaving without being seated or spoken to at all. It's really disappointing and I don't think we'll be back unless the service is improved upon. I hope that the management takes this into account.

Right across from the Lansdowne mall. Grocery store but a good restaurant along with it. Good service and really good food. We had a veg appetizer that was very tasty and pizza. We could watch the pizza dough being tossed in the air in front of the wood fired oven. Will definitely go again. Licenced.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I was greeted very warmly by the front staff. I was also surprised by the complimentary bread with the oil and balsamic dip. Very yummy. I went for a quick lunch which isn’t a good idea if you’re in a hurry. They were busy as it was a beautiful summer day on the patio and it did take some time for my waitress to show up. That would be my only complaint. But once I told her my situation she was very accommodating. I had the grilled Muffaletta sandwich with a side salad dressed in a lovely light vinaigrette dressing. The meal was delish! Oh and the lemon flavoured San Pellegrino was so refreshing. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to cruise around and look around the market at their products but it looked from the entryway to be very substantial and I can't wait to go back again. Highly recommended.

Good food but bad service. One time, my mom asked for no cheese on her pasta because she was dairy free, and they go and put parmesan on it. And one time it was 7:58 and the café closes at 8:00. Me and my family go in to get gelato but the employee says “our bar closes in 2 minutes so ya” if I was the person, I would insist on serving them their ice cream on a hot summer night. #unacceptable

We have been here a few times. Its quite a hidden gem really; very good pasta and pizza, with the pizza made fresh in the wood fired oven right in the restaurant. They have gluten free pastas also. Theres a small coffee shop with fantastic coffee, and a small market where you can buy meats, bread, pastries. Recommended if you like Italian food.

The worst pizza I've had in my life! They should never have served it to me....the chicken was like 10 days old and they put oil all over it and it was like soaked in water or something. .. it was disgusting! Hoping for better things with the dessert and unfortunately it was all dried out day old or weekend old cheesecake. Apricots infused with amaretto and was suppose to be served with an almond biscotti, turned out to be walnuts with what was perhaps suppose to be gelato but did not taste like it at all and texture was way off . First time for me and probably the last. Went with a group and ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and a salad. Salad was very good but the spaghetti was long past its serve by time. It was pasty and the meatballs were cold. I ate about three bites and that was it. Should have sent it back but did not want to delay the group I was with. Waitress did not appear concerned that I had not eaten my entree nor did I wish to have it boxed to go home.

We went for the second time. Wasnt great, reminded us why we haven't been in so long. My Husband had the burger and the bun was stone cold. Should have been toasted, it was completely soggy. No salt or pepper on the table, ketchup would've be nice too. I had the smoked salmon bagel. I thought it was going to be a sandwich but it was on half a bagel. It was fully loaded, looked amazing; could not pick it up. They gave me a butter knife to cut it...... And it was the hardest thing to cut. To top it off, she never came back to ask how the meal was. Wasn't great. Won't be going back. On a positive note, it is quick service but not attentive service. Not worth it $$

I also ordered the ravioli with browned butter. The portion size was small but presented in a beautiful manner. The taste and combination of flavours however was fantastic. Perfectly cooked ravioli! Don’t forget to grab a beer or glass of wine and wonder the market while you are waiting for your food, very expensive but all high quality products!

This was our first visit to the restaurant. We ordered a variety from appetizer and pizza to salad and pasta. The first bread served was cold but once we asked the waitress was more than accommodating to bring warm bread. All the food and alcoholic beverages were superbly done. The place is nice and clean and inviting. The service is very good. If you ask for paper napkins, they are not too generous. They are the small cocktail size. For their mimosa they used real prosecco so quite nice. All and all a very pleasant experience and we will be back.

The pizza crust is fabulous. Its something I've routinely tried and have been unable to duplicate. It has me coming here weekly. I think of it often. Sometimes... it's absolutely perfect, with just the right amount of charring, other times it could have used a bit more time in the oven, yet... even at its worst, you would need to get on a plane to find better crust. Other pizza has been ruined. I've spent a lot of time reading pizza blogs, trying to perfect my own crust. It's become futile. There are 2 reasons I eat out. Because I'm dont want to cook (being lazy), or because I want to eat something better than what I can make. Im rather difficult to satisfy. One Fine Foods pizza... makes me feel blissfully inadequate

Went for a special occasion. Food took forever to come. I ordered the ravioli, when it came I was shocked to of counted 9 pieces of ravioli. I have never ate a main course and still been hungry after. Very disappointing. For the price we paid we should of at least left full. Make sure you eat before you visit this place.

I ate at the restaurant on several occasions. The steak and lamb were amazing. The salmon too. Good portions and the bread that comes with the meal is fantastic!!! I would go just for just the bread and oil/vinegar dip. My only negative would be the side veggies; they were rather bland each time. I feel if they served some fresh veggies and were a bit more creative with the platings, this place would rank higher on my list of favourite restaurants in the area. Though overall , it is still pretty great food. I can't comment on service, as I've only done takeout each time. Order was ready on time. The grocery store has a lot of good tasting items you can't find elsewhere.

Bad manners and unprofessional. My companion had been to the restaurant previously and wanted me to try a particular desert. He advised the server that we wanted coffee and desert and we were seated at a table with 2 chairs. Although there were many unoccupied tables, the server then uncomfortably asked us to move to the tables served by a smaller kiosk located in the foyer area outside of the restaurant and near the exterior door. The restaurant menu was therefore unavailable to us. We enjoyed a great coffee and sweet from the kiosk along with periodic gusts of fresh cold air. I will not be returning to One Fine Food and question their decision to turn business away when the restaurant was almost empty. Not a good business decision.

Currently in the restaurant now, our waitress LD. ( Laura ) is either having a bad day or just plain doesn’t like her job. Way over priced $17 for one scallop just one. When asked about the price , it's because it takes 3 pans to make it. The spaghetti was all lumped together and mushy. It was well past the serve time. When I mentioned it I was told it only seems that way because in not use to fresh made pasta.

Recently came and had the mushroom and leek risotto. OMG!! BEST. RISOTTO. EVER! it was so delicious and creamy and everything a risotto should be. I've eaten risotto at some fine dining restaurants and this one is right up rhere with the best of the best. These chefs are top notch, really everything we get here is so fresh and delicious and cooked perfectly. The seafood bucatini pasta is also amazing!!! Its got a touch of spicy to it buts its just soooo divine!! I cant decide half the time what to get because everything is so amazing!! Keep coming here everyone and keep them going during the covid pandemic. They are much an amazing restaurant!!

Lots going on but they do it all really well. Wood fire pizza has a crispy but still chewy crust. Really good ingredients. The cafe is also great for a quick coffee and dessert. The Italian sausage from the grocery store is so good.

Bad service bad food.. Bad atmosphere... I found it over priced for the value. Most Italian restaurants will offer pepper or even parmesan cheese for their pasta... If thats what it was... It was spaghettini not spaghetti.. Poor serving.. Ok taste but lousy presentation.. I would NOT recommend this restaurant and cant understand how they got a 4.5 star rating

Our last two experiences, in these past few weeks have been extremely disappointing. Our first trip in we left with two burnt pizzas that were two completely different sizes. Having had so many good meals at One Fine Food we were more than willing to give it a second chance. Our second trip in was by far the worst. We left with again, two completely different sized pizzas and both had the wrong ingredients and one had a hole in it. I wish that was the worst part.. There was a maskless male staff member who was eating at the table just a few feet away from where our pizza was being made. I'm sorry to say, but we won't be back.
