We took a nice drive on dry roads to enjoy the first snow fall of the season and ended up at Marty Moo’s for lunch. My friend had the Italian Wedding Meatball soup and a chicken sandwich on pita and I enjoyed a Build your own Hamburger with some onion rings. Everything was fresh and hot. Soup was delicious, chicken sandwich fresh and Onion Rings crispy on the outside without being greasy. Hamburg was 6 oz and bun was also nice and fresh. Service very good and surroundings pleasant. Seems a very popular spot with lots of repeat customers. I would certainly have it on my list to revisit.

Yummy restaurant, full of homemade goodies, right on the edge of Peterborough. For my dinner. A Tasty fresh Caesar salad appetizer, with a tender quarter chicken, paired with a half rack, fall off the bone ribs. For desert is Marty Moos piece de resistance! The 'Deep Fried Cheesecake' which is an absolutely delicious desert smothered with caramel, chocolate, raspberries, and whipped cream! Price wise a dinner for 2, plus dessert was very reasonable for under $70.

Ordered ribs and wings .... And I make good ribs at home, so when I got side ribs and 6 chicken wings I was wondering wth is going on. I was biting through cartilage not bone, and paid a 24.99 price tag. When you order ribs specially at 24 dollars a dish I expect back ribs not side. I can get 3 full racks of side ribs for the price I paid at Marty Moo's, and felt rushed out of there. Ridiculous. Just get pot pie every thing else is overpriced and not good.

Busy place, can see that roast chicken and fried foods are their thing. While there a very large take out order came in which superseded the in house orders. About an hour after we ordered the mains for our table finally arrived. While they have liver and onions on their menu the ones that ordered it got over done meat.

Great little spot to have lunch, i have driven right by it on the highway numerous times, finally decided to give it a try. Glad I did, as the food was very good. Friend of mine ordered the chicken pot pie and barely got through half. It's a little bit pricey for what it is, but nothing unreasonable in my mind. You get a lot of food for the price, so I feel like it evens out. Not to mention the servers were very friendly and approachable. Would come back here for sure.

I ordered the chicken pot pie and thought it was very, very bland. It could have used onions, mushrooms, and other spices (thyme, bay, parsley) or even simply some salt and pepper. Even pieces of potato would have improved it immensely. I was rather disappointed with it. Positive things about the chicken pot pie were the large pieces of tender chicken and that it was hot. My husband had a burger and fries and thought the fries were under-cooked (they certainly weren't golden) and the burger wasn't that great. We were disappointed. Not sure we'll be back to eat here.

WAY WAY WAY over priced! Food wasn't bad but wasn't great especially for the price. Had a wrap and it wasnt grilled so it was doughy and hard to bite through. Fife and kid had a burger and fries with were also so so. Fries seemed like typical frozen fries with at that price they should have been hand cut. Little things go a long way to justifying your prices guys. Won't be returning.

Went for an early evening celebratory dinner here. I thought prices were a bit high until I saw the portions! They're huge! None of us could finish our meal! When I was here the food was good however when a hair was discovered in my room it was brought to the attention of the waitress and nothing was done to compensate. We weren't expecting much back but for a $120 meal even a small discount would have been appreciated.

What more can I say that has not already been expressed. We are from out of town (Woodstock, Ont.) and met with friends for dinner at your restaurant. We order and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of your meals. If that wasn't enough, the price floored us as the meal was expected to be twice as much.. Great cook, great service, great recipes, clean and neat. Needs higher quality ingredients, outdoor seating, and shade.. My fries were fairly generic, dry, had some black rotted spots on and inside them, and they needed regular ketchup. But they were fried by an experienced fryer. Slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Packaged ketchup tastes like sugar and preservatives and is a pain squirt. My burger bun was small and moist with french fry steam. The burger itself was charred on the outside and cooked all the way through inside (perfect cook). But I bit into a shard of bone inside the burger. The coleslaw was pretty good so I wanted more of it even though it got heated up inside the takeout container. This review is not fair because of totalitarian agoraphobic anti flu laws. Had to park in the unshaded black asphalt lot during the 2020 summer super heat wave. Ordered from a limited menu from our phones. Because we could not speak with a waiter face to face we messed up our order and lacked a proper chance to correct it.

Nicely surprised, first visit but will not be our last. GREAT food and BIG portions. Don't forget to try and leave room for dessert. Staff efficient and friendly. I had the chicken pot pie ... big and full with lots of chicken, it could have been served a little hotter though. Still I enjoyed the meal and had leftovers for 3 days!

The food is incredible each time I’ve gone there and usually the service is great with most of the servers being very engaged with their guests while making pleasant converstion. However, our server this time (Payton) was very to the point, did not want to talk to us, and made us feel very unwelcome. She seemed annoyed by having to serve us. The other server working was more friendly and spoke more with us than our own server. I’m a waitress myself and making your customers feel welcome is a top priority, I understand it may be the end of a shift but I don’t think that’s a reason to be annoyed by another customer coming in. Again the food is absolutely amazing, but it’s hard to enjoy if the service isn’t the same.

We decided to stop here for lunch on our travels today, thanks to some positive Google reviews ????. We arrived just before noon -- our server was Lauren & was extremely friendly & efficient. I ordered the roasted beet salad with kale & quinoa, with an added chicken breast; hubby had the chicken club with a side of onion rings. Both plates were well presented, as well as being very tasty! The ladies room was very clean & well stocked. We'd definitely stop here again ????

We used love this place but something unfortunate has happened to our favorite pit stop. The chicken sandwich came loaded with green onions and for complications from radiation my guest cannot digest onion in large amounts. When we politely asked to exchange the dish for a burger we were declined, the server suggested to order another meal at full cost. We couldn't believe how quickly we were denied an alternative meal. I am not one to post reviews but our disappointment prompted me to write this. We are now looking for a new pit stop.

Thought we'd check out this place after visiting the Reptile/Dinosaur park. We got here around 11:40 AM. Service: Out waitress was incredibly friendly and was helpful in telling us what they were known for (Chicken, Ribs, Pot Pie). Cleanliness: Very clean patio that was wiped down before we sat down. Inside seemed clean and the washrooms were acceptable. Food: This is where it all kinda fell apart. I got ribs as I was told there would be a THIRTY FIVE minute wait for Pot Pie. A full rack cost about $25, $29 with Onion Rings. The ribs were very plain, the type of ribs you get at Swiss Chalet, only without the charcoal char. The onion rings were incredibly greasy (which I get is what you expect from rings, but think of a more extreme example). Fish and Chips were from frozen and very bland. The Kids Kraft Dinner and Chicken Fingers were fine, but we got the feeling that the KD was microwaved. Not sure why this place was rated so well.

Great service, wonderful food. Lots of selection and tons of flavour. Glad we came upon it, will be our go to spot anytime we are near Peterborough. So much selection that it was hard to choose only one dish. Wife had the liver and onions with roasted beet and brussel sprouts, said its the best she'd ever had. I had the steak and shimp. Both meals were cooked to perfection and delicious. Very kid friendly too. Make the trip, you will not regret it!

The service sucked, the fish and chips was worse then boxed frozen fish and I order a glass or orange juice. They brought me a small but charged a large for $2.59. When I said something they said that's how it comes and is charged that way. Will never go again or recommend

I am from Southern California and I visit Peterborough every single summer. I have been to various restaurants around the Peterborough area. Marty Moo’s Is absolutely my favorite place in town. I have had their barbecue nachos, and I’ve had their barbecue chicken and ribs. Their chicken pot pies are absolutely outstanding because they’re made homemade in house. Their barbecue chicken and ribs are absolutely outstanding. They are cooked over charcoal and I can tell you that the taste is just unbelievable. There is just something unique and awesome about the flavors I have not been able to find in other restaurants around town. Do not miss this place, or you will be missing out.

What a lovely place on the east edge of Peterborough! Just off of highway 7 which is easy access for locals, those who are travelling east of Peterborough on highway 7 or those who are heading south west down highway 115. I had the 1/2 chicken dinner, taking part of it home so D and I could share the cherry cheesecake! Our server, Payton, was lovely and those operating the restaurant were terrific with careful cleaning and protocols so everyone could feel safe in a time of COVID19. The owner or manager was exceptional in ensuring that there was appropriate distance between tables. Kudos also to the kitchen staff, the meals were exceptional. There is such a family environment that you easily visit (Social Distanced of course) with other patrons. We were made to feel welcomed and encouraged to want to come again. Plan to save space for dessert it is well worth it and it can easily be shared with two! Thank you new friends for all your kindness ... till we meet again.

Quaint family restaurant off Hwy. 7 east of the 115 in Peterborough. Very clean with a good variety menu. I had the chicken pot pie - awesome!! It came with perfectly done fries, a hot roll and butter, and cole slaw (if your dinner doesn't come with it, order it extra - yummy). The portions are huge - I took half my dinner home with me! Topped all off by excellent service from our incredibly friendly and helpful server Daniel. Will be back anytime I am anywhere near Peterborough! Well worth a visit.

The prices are pretty decent depending what you go with and they have something for everyone including the 20 minute contest that you can find on thier site. I would recommend you try it at least once but if you dont lime crowds ensure going at a safe time because they go from dead to busy within minutes

Ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap with fries. Chicken was cold. Bacon bits were fake. Caesar dressing was watery. Fries and gravy were good but not fresh cut. Big portion. I would prefer smaller and cheaper. With a pop and tip was $25 which was too expensive for what it was. Not bad but I won't go again.
