I had a lovely time here last week and would definitely come back again. The ambience was very pleasant, the cortado I ordered was so flavorful and I really appreciated the chat I had with Helen, the owner. Glad to have such a nice little coffee shop in town!

Kit Coffee is now a favourite of mine! I’m outside for several hours a day with my job in all weather and the few times I’ve stopped in I’ve received so much more than deliciously made coffee — good vibes, plant/greenery space, & scrumptiously baked goodies! As a previous barista for 10 years in various shops and spaces (Starbucks, Natas, Pilot Coffee, & Caffeina for a short period of time), I think this is the new go-to Cafe for me — which speaks volumes! ???? Always so happy to support good local businesses!!

It's nice that they have gluten-free options; GF brownie was decent. Ordered a macchiato and was really surprised and disappointed to receive a cup of "coffee" that was literally 80% empty. It was basically a shot of espresso in the bottom of an otherwise empty coffee cup. Definitely not what I expect when I order a coffee drink. We purchased some local coffee beans here as well so hoping our at-home experience with their coffee is much better!

Went here to do a bit of work today & the wifi was super fast! Made my heart so happy ???? The only disappointment was that they don't have gluten free food options anymore, but they let me know they're hoping to figure out another option that more sustainable for them then what they were doing. Overall, love this cute little place!

I would give this place more stars if it were not for their Covid rules. I’m exempt from the mask mandate, yet they made me and my husband stay out side to order, eat and pay. I’m not sure if anyone is waking up to what’s going on here in Canada with all the Covid regulations but this is called discrimination! I was very tempted to take my business elsewhere but it was cold and rainy and I needed to eat before hitting the road back home (3.5 hours away). Food was good and coffee was decent. Won’t go back unless they honour my exemption and my inherent human rights.

Kit Coffee is a jungle oasis downtown Peterborough. The coffee is amazing - whether you grab a straight Americano or something frothy and fancy you won't be disappointed. The baked goods are always fresh and the variety of allergy sensitive options is really wonderful. Comfy seating, bright natural light, and the most welcoming baristas - we love going to Kit Coffee solo or with the kiddies.

We were driving thru Peterborough and wanted a coffee , we always look for a small local cafe so we can get good Espresso based coffee and support the local businesses. We ordered two Americanos , the coffee tasted like warm water with milk . I'm thinking that the espresso wasn't dialed in that shift ( 3:00pm on a Thursday ) it was definitely under extracted the shots came out fast , also it could have been the bean they used . I'm sure they don't always have watery espresso shots , I will give it another chance next time I'm coming thru town. The two stars are for the barista for knowing what bean they used , what origin it was and being super nice .

After Traveling for the past few months we returned back to Peterborough on our way back home and were deeply saddened to see that that gem of a third wave coffee shop, caffeinna was GONE! Now, what is in the same space, is a mere echo of the glorious coffee culture that was Caffeina. As a mom, I do applaud the owner for going for it, but it sure does "feel" like caffeina, but with a few updates like plants and such and it's now more country, more like homegrown, DIY, renovation. On to the coffee - sour, light, bitter. Prices? Typical, nothing horrible or over the top. Food? I'm not a vegan and I think vegans are missing out on so much good fat. So, one star, Caffeina was amazing. It's going to be missed by die hard coffee lovers. *sadface.

This cafe is definitely in my top 3 favourites in Ptbo. I love that it’s cozy yet still aesthetically pleasing. I’m not huge on vegan treats but the sandwich I had was amazing! It was fresh, delicious and filling. The coffee is great and definitely my favourite place for an iced latte. Even their bathroom is amazing, the wall art is awesome and the hand soap smells so good. Finally, I just love how it’s another community-based cafe, they partner with other local businesses and I love seeing that.

This place is AMAZING!!! The day we visited, the ladies Helen (The owner I believe) and Kat (the barista), were VERY friendly. We stopped on January 25th (Sunday) just before closing. I mean MINUTES before...most places would be grumpy, but NOT here! They were making a fancy Beef dinner, the name of which I can't begin to spell...."Beef Burgenion"(?sp) for their "Meals to Go" cooler.....<<<--BRILLIANT! We ordered two coffees, I think they may have been 2 of the best coffees I have had in recallable past. We also had a couple VERY tasty cookies....they even threw in a free one, because it was the end of the day and we were undecided on its purchase. This place is INCREDIBLE! Worth the 140 Km drive. We will absolutely return.

Kit coffee is such an incredible addition to downtown Peterborough!!! As an avid espresso lover I used to just make my own at home due to the lack of good espresso here, but Kit coffee has completely changed that! Helen definitely knows her stuff, and puts a lot of love into every cup she makes! I’m so thoroughly impressed every time I come in, not only by the quality of the espresso, but by the warmth of the atmosphere, and the incredible customer service. I’m so excited to make this into a regular spot for my morning cappuccino ❤️

Today I had an amazing Americano and a sandwich that made me realize the flavour of a plant based sandwich can be an exciting, hearty experience . I would definitely recommend kit coffee and I'll be stopping by anytime I am in the neighborhood.
