Made a trip to Peterborough specifically to go to Chaksa. After getting over my initial disappointment that the restaurant didn't offer the exact same menu as the food truck I decided on a kathi roll which was great. The combo came with a samosa which was amazing. I'll definitely be returning!

Was very disappointed with this place. Ordered also on skip the dishes then proceeded to not recieve what we ordered. Also we did not even receive a drink with the order. I only tried to ask about the drink not the other issues as I don't really care and was a new restaurant but they just completely disregarded my complaint. Good Job ????

The aesthetic was really nice, bright and beautiful. Ordered the veg kati rolls and dahi balay out of the two the dahi balay were my favourite very soft and they melted in your mouth! Another thing I appreciated was the pomegranate seeds in the dahi balay because most places don’t add them.

Amazing experience. It is 100% halal, and super delicious. We ordered the non-veg kathi roll with lamb seekh kabab, samosa and mango lassi, and the non- veg grill platter with lamb seekh, lamb boti and chicken Tikka. Everything was authentic, fresh and perfectly seasoned without being too spicy. The parathas were perfectly crispy, the meat was smoky and juicy and so fresh! I eat lamb regularly, and I can tell they use good quality cuts. The portion sizes were perfect too. The kathi roll combo was more than enough for me, and the grill platter with paratha was enough to satisfy my husband. This is my new favorite halal restaurant in Peterborough. It is a bit pricey, but then again, good quality halal meat is pricey.

It’s the best indian restuarant in Peterborough. I am a regular customer from day one. Foods they serve are delicious. The onwer lady is so friendly and helpful in choosing dishes. Staffs are really polite and helpfull. Ambiance in the restuarant feels like you and in India.

I'm so happy that finally Peterborough has a Indian Street Food Place to go. Tried the Veg Kathi roll, samosa and the cutting chai. Absolutely LOVED every bit of it. So here's my review in detail : Veg Kathi Roll : I tried it with Paneer Tikka. Well stuffed. Paneer Tikka well cooked. A little less saucy but tasted good. 9/10 Samosa : pretty decent with taste and the stuffing. The classic Samosa filling with potato and spices. 10/10 Cutting chai : I'm a big chai person. I'm sure this is going ro be my go to place for chaiii. 10/10

Just speaking for the samosas and the salad meal. Disappointed in both. I wanted something light with tikka chicken so I thought the salad looked intricate. But it was just carrot shavings, lettuce, tomatoes and canned chickpeas with a spicy sauce, and the tikka chicken. It could be more elaborate for what I'm paying. Samosas are a bit bready. I think the food is a bit bland and more things could be added to it to make it flavourful and true to what it should be.

All the food was very flavourful, but I ordered two meals and we got no samosas with it! We would have been fine with no samosas but we paid a fair amount and then tipped on top of that. I would love to eat here again, maybe I will be able to try their samosas next time ☹️ EDIT: a chaska representative has reached out to ensure that I get the money back for the samosas i didn't get and ensured that I would be able to get some next time.

When you have 2 salad dressing options (1 was a yogurt base and the other a mango cumin ginger) you expect that anything with a heat level will be labelled...this was not the case. The mango one was incredibly spicy (and we can take a lot of heat and are used to indian food) things need to be clearer and ingrediants listed somewhere easily read. I ended up ordering a rice dish which looked nice in the picture way up top but was piled high with raw red onions that i had to scoop out. So my husband wouldnt finish his salad and i was not happy overall with any ingrediants listed anywhere i could see. What about people with intolerances? Better labelling is required. Not happy with the lack of transparency. Prices are also pretty high. Rather go to imperial tandoor. Would spend a bit more money but i know what im getting.

Has potential but: 1) I wasn't acknowledged or greeted upon arrival. 2) there was no help with the menu 3) 1 out of 2 of my dishes were to go the other was to stay 4) the food was cold when it was supposed to be hot 5) they forgot my rice and salad with my dish. FAIL.

A very tasty alternative to traditional "fast food" in Peterborough. The food was very good, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant was very clean. The menu had some unique takes on Indian street food, like their "Samosa Sliders" which were delicious. Would recommend for as a quick, healthier lunch option.

Excellent service. We celebrated a birthday here and they made it very special by playing our choice of music. The food is very good. We loved the mixed grill platter, both vegetarian and meat options, along with the chaat. The staff is friendly and try to accommodate to your individual choice. Enjoyed my Kathi roll on one visit, and Channa Chawal on another. Very tasty, with lots of flavour. Kathi roll portion size was good, and the Channa was a LOT of food! More than enough in both cases, unless you're someone who needs to eat excessively until absolutely 'stuffed'.

Years ago I ate food at the original Chaska location by Toronto Pearson airport. I was blown away by how good the food was. At that time I met the owner and introduced him to my little girl who's name is also Chaska lol. He was so nice and seemed passionate about his Indian gourmet Street food endeavour. Years later, I now live in Peterborough and I was so happily surprised to see a new Chaska location move into the neighborhood! I've now had a chance to try most of their menu,and the food here is incredibly good. So great that they use free range meat. This is hands down the best fast food in Peterborough, on par with OMG across the street. Oh and their mango Lassi is amazing.

Soya and Lamb Seekh Kathi roll both were bland, sorry to say but the taste doesn't match with the one in Sauga and Toronto. One extra star for samosa chaat, that was pretty decent Update: will have to take away that one extra star, since a lot of honest reviews have been removed by the management.
