Best carrot cake! great and friendly staff!

Great baked goods, lunch food, and coffee. My only gripes are I remember when the Sunflower was up on Herriott St, the peasant loaf (my favourite) was HUGE, and now they're quite a bit smaller, and also I don't feel as though the chocolate cake is as good as it used to be.

We ordered a PUMKIN SPICE CAKE with cream cheese icing (about 20 people) for a very special friend's 80th Birthday! Everyone commented on how delicious this CAKE WAS! Good work Sunflower Bake Shop!

It used to be amazing, they had a salad bar and sandwiches but in more recent years they have changed owners and they only have baked goods now. Still pretty nice though.

A 'must stop' when you are in Perth, ON. You are surrounded by a great selection of top notch baked goods with seasonal specialties. They also provide a small, buffet lunch selection - pick what you like and it's weighed at the till - very reasonable prices. Perfect place for lunch or for picking up that specialty baked item for your next celebration. PS I received the chocolate cake for my birthday and it was incredible - rich!

Lovely spot— surprisingly good decaf coffee. Thumbprint cookies are a dream— sticky bun was also a big hit. Take the time to sit outside near the water— so beautiful

Came to check this little gem out. Plenty of home baked goods in store and a nice little side patio overlooking a river. Would be great to come for a bite and relax!

Pizza and herb-cheese scones and smoothies are 5*. Lukewarm mushy mexican lasagna is definitely not.

Nice little bakery cafe. Had the sticky bun and a nice cup of tea. Delicious sweets and a nice space in the back by the river to sit and relax.

Yummy cakes and litte sweet desserts!!! Best cake shop in the town and area. But the customer service was not great whenever I visited..staffs didn't care much to greet people and seemed bothered to give good explanations about baking goods when I had questions...

Excellent fresh bakery and house coffee which I recommend. Have visited this bakery a few times in the past 2 or so years. Friendly staff. Although they open and close very early, my daughter (her favourite bakery) and I still manage to find fresh bakery products. We even find discounted products 1/2 price and still tastes like it's being taken from the oven.

Clean and friendly bake shop just off the beautiful tay river, always fresh baked goods inside with a quaint atmosphere inside. Only 4/5 because often items are sold out for the day.

Beautiful cakes, cookies, sticky buns; really you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. Staff are welcoming and have been amazing at accommodating last minute requests. Great location beside the Tay River to sit and enjoy the food :)

The drive to Perth to visit the Sunflower Bakery is well worthwhile. Their carrot cake is the best ever, sold by the slice which is big enough to share. But who wants to share?? Tip: Don't plan a shopping trip on a Monday when they are closed or you will be disappointed.

I was just in on July 18, 2016 to grab lunch. After 3 years of being a vegetarian it's still very hard to find places to eat that truly care about your nutritional needs and sunflower bake shop is definitely not one of them. I bought two veggie pakoras and once I got home and took a bite I discovered they were full of chicken. I called inmediately to let them know and instead of being apologetic and sympathetic they brushed it off and ended the call without offering any sort of condolences. I will definitely not be returning to the Sunflower Bakeshop ever.

I love the location on the water with pic nic tables and a hammock also lots of tables outside and in. Very warm and welcoming color scheme. However I did not find the staff accommodating to dietary requests. I was dissapointed soy milk was not offered with coffee. I had heard there where vegetarian options but my husband bought a sandwich with tuna as all the other ones had meat. I settled for a cinnamon bun rather than a salad which would have been both vegetarian and dairy free. Not a place for those with a restrictive diet, however the loaves of bread looked amazing.

We have always been big fans of the Sunflower Bake Shop. My sister-in-law and I always request the carrot cake for our birthdays. Naturally, when it came time to choose a cake for our small, intimate wedding, our first choice was the Sunflower Bake Shop. We went with the lemon mousse cake as it was the perfect summer flavour for our July wedding. Even though we never told them that they were making our wedding cake, it was absolutely delicious and devoured by our guests.

Had a special order Red Velvet cake made for my wife's birthday/retirement party (albeit small). c/w special lettering. Ordered Wed. & PU Sat. noon. Had someone else do PU (prepaid) and when it arrived there was zero lettering and too late to get the problem fixed. P.S. the cake was great ... the service not so much.

Visited last week. The blueberry struesel muffin was amazing. Also got the honey and oat bread. A heavy loaf at $5. Also picked up some day old croissants and they were still amazing. The only issue is selection decreases later in the day because they are so popular.
