This was a nice find, really quiet inside, the majority of people coming in and out on a Friday night were Skip the Dishes drivers. We had no issues reserving a table since. Ordered the shahi paneer and dinner for one. I also ordered a sweet lassi. Everything was made with quality ingredients, delicious and filling. A few dishes were topped with cilantro, so if that bothers you it should be noted. The server was friendly and masked. There were markings on the floor to denote social distancing, and plexiglass was up at the cashier.

After seeing many Indian run farms and orchards in the area, we suspected there would be a good Indian restaurant in town. Sure enough, we found Penticton Indian Cuisine and confirmed our suspicions. This place is very authentic and clean with friendly staff. Tables are well spaced to maintain safe distancing and service was fast. We dined in but most orders were takeout. Our vegetable Biryani was ordered mild and very tasty. Aloo Gobi (cauliflower and potatoes) along with lamb Korma were very smooth. Highly recommended. Nothing fancy but extremely clean and authentic.

It was such a great experience being at this place. Ate two days in a row. Food was so yummy, I never had such a tastier Indian food ever in my life. Very friendly staff, Everyone came out to greet us including owner. We drove one extra hour next day again opposite to our way back home just to enjoy their food. Have only had takeout, but their food is great. I have gone to Lachi's a lot and love Lachi's, but this place so far is better. Food is tastier and the spice level is spicier. Very good food. This will be my go-to Indian restaurant in Penticton from now on. Lamb Jalfrezi was very good and so was the Palak Paneer. Beef Samosas were similar to Lachi's but spicier and not as oily. Coconut Naan wasn't as sweet as Lachi's. I think the portions are slightly bigger here as well. Shrimp in the pakoras were large. Very good flavor. I'm not a Butter Chicken fan, so I can't speak to that comparison. I'm looking forward to trying more dishes!!

The food is really good, a lot of vegetarian options but we are not sure they were vegan. As reading other reviews, I see that it's possible to veganize all the plates! Amazing. The service was pleasant and the waitress wasn't pushy to make us eat more than we could. The tastes are different in each plate which is not always the case in exotic restaurants, when you have the same taste with only the vegetable changing! Just to help this good restaurant to improve and reach perfection, I would have a few suggestions: work on the decoration as the place is huge and deserve a nice atmosphere. On top of that, because of the high ceilling and the lack of material that could absorb the noise, the restaurant is quickly noisy even if it's not crouded (3 tables are enough to make this place noisy), another thing would be to switch the TV off : Bollywood video clips are not a must have to appreciate good food. A third thing, when they will have time and money to do it, reorganize the menu by mentionning clearer the vegan and gluten free option. More vegetables would be appreciated not only beans, potatoes and legumes to be able to go there more often! These are just details that don't remove anything to the quality of the food and the service. That worth it. I do recommand this restaurant and we will defititly go back for a good meal.

Food is fantastic and staff is very friendly. They will accommodate allergies as much as possible. This restaurant is celiac friendly as they will make almost everything on their menu gluten and dairy free if need be. They also have brown and white rice options. The food tastes authentic and straight from Nepal. I highly recommend this restaurant, one of the best in Penticton.

Coming from someone who eats Indian food daily and living in a family who cooks Indian food daily, I can say the cuisine here is amazing. Undoubtedly the best Indian food I’ve had from a restaurant. First of the place is clean and sanitized. We were welcomed with a smile, with a baby I know some places cringe but it wasn’ta problem they were very accommodating. I got a cup of chai which was on point. And we got veggie pakoras to start and they are so good fresh. Don’t worry about it being spicy they have a scale 1-5 Overall the food was amazingi will definitely be going back

Amazing food and service! The owners really go above and beyond. A large portion of the menu is gluten free and there are tons of vegetarian options, most of which can be made vegan. And the portions are huge! A really nice bonus is that rice or naan is included with your dish which makes eating out that much more affordable. 5 stars :)

My mom was raving about this place and she doesn't like eating anything different and then we went and I realized why it was so great the food is incredibly fresh made to order and super authentic my friend in India recommended what to order and it did not disappoint...soft fresh paneer...we left with so many leftovers I will be enjoying this food for days!!!

This place is amazing. We had sort of a mixed plate of some of their fresh dishes and everything was absolutely delicious. The naan is to die for. The paneer saag was so flavorful and a very nice surprise on the plate. We are looking forward to coming back and trying many more dishes at this establishment. There are some great Indian restaurants in Penticton, but I think this place is my favourite. Every dish I have tried here is fantastic, with tender meats, perfectly-seasoned curries, and great veggies (i.e. not mushy or overcooked!). Very happy they offer a dinner for one option, which is more than enough for one person. Staff is friendly too.

WOW , I am from Vancouver and was blown away eating the BEST CURRY I EVER HAD!!! ( methi chicken ) was a symphony of creamy curry flavour, in Vancouver you could only find this at Vig's and for three times the price. Oh Penticton your a beautiful place , and so lucky to have this rare gem restaurant to visit . The prices are very fair , Service is caring , and the chef is truly one of a kind! If you like Indian food, and willing to try something a bit more Fantastic, please try Penticton Indian Cuisine.....P.S if you want spicy hot request it, because their food is not hot but very tasty and goes so well with a cold beer!

Regarding delivery: the restaurant offers delivery for a small fee and we will continue to choose that method rather than using Skip the Dishes which pockets a commission of 30 percent.

The Curry is very good but the Dinner for two special isn't a good value. You're better off to just order the mains as the Dinner for two potions are just cut in half. We ordered it once before and it was a larger portion, not sure if it recently changed but its not really much of a special anymore.

Whoa! Best Indian food I think I’ve ever had!! Definitely top spot in Penticton for sure. Staff were friendly and helpful and the dishes were sooo good!! Rich, developed flavours and perfect spice level! Great sizes too. I had the tofu/chickpea masala and veg vindaloo. Would 10/10 recommend!

I have ate Indian food all my life. Growing up down on the coast there are many great restaurants but surprisingly in this little City in the Okanagan I just had the best meal I have had. Top notch food and fast, curtious service! Obviously a great family that owns this restaurant.

Fabulous surprise to find in Penticton! Great food, great service. There are Nepalese specialties like momos and a bevy of other traditional Indian dishes that you would expect to find. Also a ton of vegan options. Really flavorful and perfectly spicy. Highly recommended. Definitely go here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have tried this new restaurant few days ago with high expectations because I was looking for authentic Nepalese food since my last travel in Nepal. And all I can say is that I was not disappointed. I have tried the Dal and the Momo and it was as good as in Kathmandu! Fresh, moderately priced and good service, a very good addition to Penticton's restaurant!

Food here is fantastic. Tried this place for lunch. I had the lamb and my wife had the butter chicken lunch specials which included rice and naan. Both were excellent.

I would give them more than 5 stars if possible. A restaurant with best food, great customer service, and affordable prices. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We went for one meal to eat Indian food and couldn’t go anywhere else afterwards.

OK, I've only been here once so far, but based on that single visit I have to say: This is fantastic food! One of the tastiest meals I've had. Rich, fragrant, just delicious. While the setting is in no way as upscale as the food, the dining area and open kitchen were spacious, welcoming and spotlessly clean on our visit to pick up our take out dinner -- and anyway, with food that tastes this good I couldn't care less about the ambience. The fact that it is ridiculously inexpensive for the quality of the meal was simply a bonus. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Penticton, and we'll be recommending the place to our favourite people!

I was really angry. The waitress was so rude! I wanted to have a pleasant dinner in this restaurant, but when I paid for it, I said I would pay separately, but the waitress didn't pay attention, so we still paid together. I said again, they just divided by two and didn't separate the dishes. That's ok, so when we paid, she looked at us impatiently and grabbed the pose machine on our hands, which means that we paid too slowly and delayed her time. We pay the waiter and go straight away, we leave pretending not to see! I am really angry, please contact me after the restaurant owner see! Why is there such a bad reception!?

Crazy vegan home made samossa... we are just addict. We've never been desappointed and we go over there often enough to share a lot of feedback. We mostly take out the orders so we don't have a lot to say about the table service. Nice people to deal with anyway. We really appreciate the flavourful vegan dishes like baingan bharta or aloo gobi. However, when you go very often over there, more vegan (and not vegetrian only) choices would be appreciated (with no dairies in fact). The spices are well balanced but might be a little too hot (even when ordered mild) for kids who are not used to them. Good cooks, period!

Unfortunately there was some confusion the last time I ordered that resulted in me receiving another person's full order in addition to mine, which I feel bad for. I phoned to let the restaurant know but the driver was already gone. I hope the owners know I enjoyed all of the food and none of it went to waste! This place is a must try
