We had Meatings cater our wedding at the far west end of the city (past Dunrobin). The service was outstanding. They arrived on time and the food was hot and ready. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had the ribs and chicken, with baked beans, corn and caesar salad. The food was OUTSTANDING! All our guests raved about the food. We recommend Meatings without reservation. They are a great company serving great food.

First time ordering here and will be our last. Got there for pickup at the scheduled time and was told they never got our Order because they didn’t get payment. We sent the proof of payment we got from both PayPal and meanings with order number. Had to wait 45 minutes for our food to be ready, and it was missing an item! 9 cars came and went and got their food. We never received an apology from them and the only compensation we got was free cookies!! And the owner was extremely rude!

Ordered the pulled pork and pulled pork sandwiches as well as the coleslaw all of which we all found to be quite dry. Both pork and slaw definitely needed more sauce. Otherwise not bad and will go back to try again. Cute, hip interior and fairly decent prices. Glad to see that Orleans is breaking free from Boston Pizza and other typical suburban chain eateries and becoming a little cooler...we need more places like this.

WOW - Best Barbecue I've ever indulged in (been to the states many times). You can tell the meat was slow smoked and the sampler platter was well crafted. Ribs were incredible. Brisket was juicy. Mac n Cheese with a beautiful touch on the cheetoh toppings, Delicious Ceaser Salad, and incredible deep fried corn bread for dessert. HIGHLY recommend this place. Only thing I wish was they had one closer to home. Looking forward to coming back over, and over and over again.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this cozy, welcoming spot! I can not talk this place up enough. Hands down one of my favorite places to eat. The staff are friendly and the decor has the perfect warm Canadian feel. Prepare to go "mmmmmmnomnom" after every bite! My 'go to' is always the pulled pork sandwich and these guys knock it out of the park every single time. The mac&cheese , tater tots, and baked beans 10 out of 10 ! If you do not live in Orleans but you LOVE BBQ, believe me it is worth the drive.

Being in the wedding industry myself, I've actually had the pleasure of eating Meatings several times while at weddings! Last weekend I was finally able to hire them for personal reasons and the entire process was amazing. Jessica (in the office) was SO reasonable and always very helpful when assisting my 10000 questions! She was very quick at responding and helped me navigate through the million changes of COVID guidelines. Of course, the food was BEYOND expectations. We opted for the option of having it delivered, rather cooked onsite, and it was still very hot! Everyone who attended is still going on about how wonderful it was and we are still eating leftovers ourselves! The staff dropping off the food followed all COVID guidelines, had everything individually wrapped and again, very friendly. Thank you Meatings for making our backyard family BBQ very safe + tasty!!! Already looking for another excuse for a get-together <3

Small portions (however, I am a big eater), over priced, but above average level BBQ. So if you are willing to dish out a couple of extra bucks for some good BBQ, this is not a bad place to go to.

Friendly service and good BBQ. Everything was tender and their sauce is delicious. Their mac and cheese was one of the best sides I've had in a while at any BBQ place! The only thing I was disappointed in was their cocktails. We ordered three - got one mojito remade and, even then, it was inconsistent from another mojito at the table (one was way too sour). Another cocktail tasted watered down.

The food is all really well done. On the one hand you can say that it's just a smoke BBQ place, but with all the local sourcing and love that they put into their food, I would pick this venue because it feels a homely meal. The staff are friendly, and there is a very pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant.

I've been looking for a place like this in Ottawa for a long time! Great BBQ selection! I got a mixed plater to try as much as possible and was pleasantly surprised by all of it. I am looking forward to returning and trying what I didn't get the chance to the first time. If it's as good the second time around I wouldn't have a problem giving a 5 star review.

I cant believe I lived in Orleans for so long before trying this place out! We got a sharing platter which consisted of 4 choices of meat and three sides. For the meats we went with pulled pork (x2), ribs and beef brisket and everything was AMAZING! Forget RibFest for one or two weeks every year, with this place its Rib Fest all year round!! Highly recommended for even a casual meat lover. They have jack fruit as a vegetarian option, which we didnt try but we will the next time we visit (which'll hopefully be soon!) Super good prices, barely waited for my takeout order, friendly staff, I cant recommend this place enough! Hit this place next time your looking for a meal out or good takeaway!!!!!!

My son says he'd like to give Meatings 6 stars if he could! It is a great place for food to feed a crowd. As you'd expect from their name, it excels in meats - pulled pork and chicken are our favourites . Their sides are good too, notably mac 'n cheese and cornbread. We ordered here multiple times in late 2020. Their family platters feed us for two nights running. We also tried their Christmas catering which included an excellent smoked turkey and stand-out bread pudding for dessert.

I was excited to try Meatings for the first time because of its great reviews through social media. My experience was the total opposite. My bf and I tried the Sharing platter. We could not tell the difference between the brisket and the pulled pork. They looked and tasted very much identical. The whole platter was cold. Every meat felt like it was reheated quickly, as you dig into the meat it gets colder. Their sauces was alright. Cornbread and mac n cheese was the highlight of the whole plate but unfortunately those were also cold.

The decor in this place is fantastic, the owners really poured their heart and soul into the restaurant...looks amazing. I ordered the personal sampler which is 3 meats, 2 sides and a dessert. I asked for the corn bread instead of the dessert which they had no problem doing for me. The two sides were mac n cheese and smoked beans. For the meat; the ribs were really tender, not fall off the bone (which means they weren't over cooked), the meat pulled off the bone gently and had a nice subtle smokiness to them. They do come dry, however, you have your choice of two sauces on the table to choose from if you want. The brisket was offered as lean or fatty, I opted for half of each. The flavour was excellent, nice subtle smokiness again with a great smoke ring. Lastly the pulled pork. It came with a drizzle of sauce on it, which is nice as the pitmaster allowed you to taste the pork. It was nice and juicy and tender. The mac n cheese was awesome, really enjoyed that, as well as the beans. The beans were on the sweet side, but offered some nice chunks of meat in it. The cornbread was equally delicious, all in all, the personal platter was a perfect size for 1 hungry person. Really happy to see a new BBQ spot in Ottawa that offers quality food. It's clear the pitmaster knows how to operate his smoker and the food isn't overly smoky, but treats the smoke as an ingredient. Highly recommend Meatings! I asked to see the smoker, which they were gracious enough to allow me to do so. It's a true southern smoker, using hard wood (cherry, maple and hickory).

The food is amazing! They are very local-focused with all of their meat, producer and drinks sourced locally. The kitchen is peanut-peanut free and they create monthly specials. The brisket is amazing! Their Mac n cheese and cornbread is to die for.

Good food, I ordered the platter with ribs and brisket. The ribs were decent, though I prefer baby back ribs, and they were a little dry (I added my own BBQ sauce). The brisket was tasty, though a little too salty.

Our group of friends wanted to hire the team at Meatings to create the highest end, high-quality meats experience they could imagine. We gave them carte-Blanche over the menu and they did not disappoint. What they delivered will have all 20 of us telling the tales for years. It cannot be understated how phenomenal this meal was. Mat and Nick not only delivered the most incredible meal, their service and friendliness was off the charts. We’re already positive we want to do this with them annually, it was worth every single penny, AND more. “Quick” run down of the meal below: 1) They sourced A5 Japanese Kobe Wine Beef. This beef is at the top of the pyramid, only 18 cattle a month are distributed for the entire globe. The cows only eat the Lees from a Kobe Winery. Only 1 butchery in Canada held these and meatings was on top of it. Part of the pieces were used to create the most incredible tartare ive ever tasted (by far), the other half were cooked over food fire to perfection and were a true melt-in-your-mouth experience 2) Duck Confit egg rolls - need I say more? WoW 3) 12-hour wood-smoked A5 Wagyu Brisket - there are truly no words to describe how incredible this brisket was. The flavor was heavenly. The home made Chimichurri On top was absolutely phenomenal. These came with fries which were a nice touch 4) Smoked & Braised Organic Beef Cheek Tacos - hands down the best tacos I’ve ever had, the meat was mind numbingly tender and juicy and flavorful 5) Ibérico Pork - they call this the “Wagyu of Pork”. It’s tender and juiciness was unparalleled. Combined With whatever they marinated it in was incredible, it made it hard to compare it to any other pork EVER lol 6) 6-cheese, smoked rib tip Mac and cheese - with 6 incredible cheeses, Asparagus, chorizo and a bit of mushrooms this was undoubtedly the most insane Mac and cheese ever 7) Grand marnier dipped fruits and donuts with home made cream - uhhhh WOW Thank you again to the team at Meatings, you folks are honestly incredible on and off the grill!!! See you again soon

Great food and fast service! Ordered online and picked up. Was very easy and lots of social distancing room in the former dining area. Had pulled pork, sausages, cole slaw, and beans! The tater tots were also delicious. In the dining room they also have lots of self serve items like pepperoni sticks, sauces and rubs. We'll be back especially since they cater to my son's allergies which include peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame. Visit Dominion Brewery, right around the corner, while you're there. Thanks!

Very friendly staff, and super cozy. We had the chicken, ribs, sausage and pulled pork. The sides were mashed potatoes, beans, and fries. Everything was delicious and it was a great price! Two people ate and tipped well, but the bill was only $62. We'll go back for sure.

Went for the first time, as I had come across them randomly online. Was served by Megan who was very friendly, pleasant and attentive. Ordered the beef brisket sandwich and it was absolutely incredible! Will go back again soon and try the pulled pork sandwich. What a great first experience.

Meatings catered a wedding at the Cumberland Belle. The food was Superb!!! Their brisket was the best I've ever had (sorry mom). Excellent service as well as immaculate clean up. They made the process leading up to the wedding super easy, the staff were wonderful to work with, and the food is the best BBQ I’ve had. Everyone at our wedding commented on the quality and portion sizes and many of our guests are STILL telling us it’s the best food they’ve had at a wedding. Disappointing pulled pork. I ordered the pulled jackfruit and pulled pork from their "heat-at-home" menu. The jackfruit was ok but the pulled pork was flavorless, had huge chunks of bones/veiny pieces that were really unappetizing and wasn't shredded very well (lots of large pieces). Easy to order and they offer contactless pickup so that was nice but I wouldn't order again based on the quality of the pulled pork..

Enjoyed the family platter with 2 others last night. Definitely plenty of food, and every gram of it delicious. Got to try a decent variety of their stuff and will certainly be going back for more. If you love meat or bbq in general do yourself a favour, eat here. For sides the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes are wonderful. There are 3 sauces available, all solid. That said i didn't put a drop on my brisket or ribs, juicy smoked meat will definitely return for more.

Julius Caesar himself never experienced a meal of this magnitude. It was the most extravagant 8 course meal of my life from Meatings. Which included A5 Kobe steak and tartar, a legendary wagyu brisket, the most scintillating Iberico Pork, Duck Confit Egg rolls and a near heart-stopping 6-cheese chorizo Mac & Cheese. There was more than I can list. I literally had to wake up at 5am and take a shower to bring myself back down to earth. Just do it, and then thank yourself later.

Grabbed lunch with a couple buddies from out of town. In a word, phenomenal. The smoked meats are fantastic, flavourful and fall off the bone tender. I've never enjoyed baked beans and corn bread as much as I have here. Tonnes of options to pair and share and great service. This is a new go to in Orleans. Thanks to the Flosse brothers for bringing a creative smoked flair to the Orleans food scene. A fantastic option for eating in or take-out.

I would give a 10 if it was possible. The brisket and meaty mac and cheese were delicious. The homemade mustard should be bottled and served at every corner. They have a full freezer stacked if you want to bring food to make at home and they have local beer. The owner is incredible and I would go back just to support his business even if the food wasn't great (but it was). He came to check on us multiple times, brought us complimentary donuts and was a superb host. I can't wait to go back

We have been enjoying Meatings BBQ for a couple of years now, and when it came time to plan our backyard wedding there was no doubt that we would have Meatings cater it and that our guests would be treated to an amazing meal. Matt and his staff are friendly and courteous, and go out of their way to provide top notch service. Lydia, their wedding coordinator, was patient and kind, especially while we made frequent changes due to the pandemic, and she always made time to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend this place. A must try when you're around the area. I was in Ottawa for a short trip and I had dined in this place 2x. First one was a dine-in, and 2nd was an online order. The 1st time I went here, the lady taking my order was very nice. She tried to help me as I couldn't make up my mind. She recommended the mac & cheese as sides since they have a different twist to it. I happily obliged and it was really good! :) The ambiance is great. It's a small restaurant with limited sitting. I was lucky cause it wasn't busy when I got here. But by the time I was done with my food, the place was starting to get packed. I wasn't sure why there was a mosquito flying around the dine-in area. But it was pestering me the entire time I was eating my meal. Lol. The parking was a little tricky for me. Maybe because I wasn't familiar with the place. The parking was at the back of the building. I enjoyed my meal so much that I had to order online from my airbnb rental for dinner. The online delivery was well-packed and it was fresh by the time I got them. All in all, this was perfect! :)

I drove by this place many times, and today stopped in. The first thing I noticed was the amazing smell as I approached the door. I asked the girl at the counter to recommend something for me. She suggested the Beef Brisket sandwich with Maple BBQ sauce and slaw, on a fresh bun. Absolutely amazing, the meat sooo tender! I offered my wife a bite and had to pull the sandwich away. I also got a side of 'tater tots' with dip which were delicious...she liked those too! She regretted buying a sub somewhere else! Looking forward to a return visit soon! Great BBQ. Meatings is a hidden gem, right in the heart of Orleans...you have to try it.

Okay. Not a Wow. Unfortunately they didn't have ribs when I went to order so made my own platter: sausage, brisket and pulled pork to try out for the first time. The sausage was not the big fat juicy one you hope for. What I got was over-cooked, probably not enough fat, dry, and didn't have a super flavour. Beef brisket was excellent: moist, soft and hot. My friend took the brisket sandwich and wiped it out in two minutes. Pulled pork ok. Also a bit dry and not moist, so didn't finish it. Sauces: okay. Not signature in-house BBQ sauce. For the sandwich, 3 meats, 2 drinks paid $40.

Meatings catered our wedding in July 2018 - the food and service went above and beyond our expectations! The service, from our first interactions with Joey to the day of with Mat and event staff was amazing. As soon as Mat and his team arrived on site they were helping us solve problems and making things happen! As great as everyone was, the food was the real highlight - we had a full roasted pig with all the fixins and it was so tasty. Even our pickiest eaters raved about it! Ways away out of the city of Ottawa, so a car is a must to stop by. Ordered the share platter with 4 kinds of meat. Some of the best pork ribs I've ever had where it's just a light smoke ring and the meat was TENDER. The smoked chicken was the juiciest drum, but was a little weary on the redness of the meat in the thigh as some parts by the bone looked a lil bloody. The lady was super nice and replaced it with freshly out of the smoker drums and ensured the meat was to temperature and good to eat. For a great bbq joint, I would have loved some house made sauces I can drop into.

It is what it is ????‍♀️ tacos are awesome. Deep fried cheese curds are seasoned really well. Otherwise, in my opinion... not a lot going for it. All of the sandwiches are literally just meat on a bun... like, no lettuce, no mustard, no onion, not even a tomate in sight. Lackluster. The meat is good, but it's way to heavy to eat like that more than like... twice a year :/

I've had mixed experiences here so far. I visited the patio in the summer time and had nothing but good to say, but I ordered takeout this past weekend and was less than thrilled. First part was my mistake - I didn't realize there was retail food and hot food, so I ordered something that needed to be heated up at home and caused some confusion when picking it up. I wasn't upset, just didn't realize there were two types of orders. When I placed my order, I received a pickup time an hour away, but received a text message stating my order was ready before then. I showed up and the staff was rude to me about these two mixups. I could have let it slide as a bad night, but when I got home the chili I got was almost inedible. Some meat was good but there were many chunks of gristle, cartilage, even a bone the size of my pinky finger. My husband and I were picking bits of stuff out of our mouths as we tried to eat it. Seems like they chopped up questionable meat, bones, and everything and tossed it in there with little care. Overall, I'll still go back when the patios are open again, but I don't think I'll get takeout here again.

We had our annual company BBQ catered by Meatings for a second year and they are amazing! I would definitely recommend having the whole service done on the spot, nothing like smelling the meat smoking and having the chefs serve it up too. Having it made ahead and drop off would not be the same experience at all.

We’ve tried their pulled pork tacos at the Navan Fair and were pleasantly surprised at how much we loved them. We went tonight and ordered: pulled pork sandwich with a side of tater tot poutine, and beef brisket and pulled chicken tacos with a side of chips, fries and corn bread. Literally everything was delicious. I love that nothing.seemed over-seasoned or drenched in sauce. Meats were juicy, and the sides complemented the mains. Didn’t leave hungry or heavy/gross. I’d recommend if you’re craving smoked BBQ meats. We did buy from the Navan Fair frozen beef briskets and maybe I didn’t follow the instructions carefully but the meat came out a bit dry. I figured from now on, just to order it fresh. Will definitely return to dine on their patio again.

Ordered on skip the dishes. The kids loved their poutine and it was a good size. The issue was the chicken I ordered. I ask for white meat. Received a chicken leg and a thigh. The thigh was mostly fat and bone not much meat. Do not order the food from skip the dishes as it took to long. I would eat their again but not though skip the dishes. I wouldn’t order the chicken.

Pork ribs where cold, dry and borderline flavourless. Basically yesterdays leftovers reheated and called “fresh”. I asked the waitress why the ribs may be cold? She spoke with the kitchen whom then relayed that the ribs are fresh and placed under a heat lamp, this may explain the moisture being zapped from the meat but does not explain the cold rib bones and room temp meat. The waitresses where wonderful, but the meal was damn disappointing especially for 42$ Before tax and tip. Gave this place a second shot and that’s it. I’ll never know if it was truly re-heated ribs or simply “fresh” cold and dry ribs.

This tucked away BBQ spot in an industrial area was discovered by my friend on a previous cycling trip. Ample parking, views of the highway, and not crowded at all when we went for lunch. Modern country blasts from speakers outside and you can order ice cream and other treats inside. I'm told it's a catering business, which explains the sheeted off areas when you visit the washrooms in the back, but locals in-the-know know to order ahead and pick up for some slow smoked take-out goodness.

I want to give it a good rating but ... they only take cash, it's not really a sit down place to enjoy the food, portions are small, food takes a while (even though everything is smoked and ready) ... and the worst is that all the meat was dry and kinda burnt. Yeah yeah I know BBQ aficionados will say that burnt is good but I don't like it when it makes it all bitter.

Amazing food!! Friendly restaurant staff, and loved the Chef, super passionate and talented! Only reason I’m putting a 3 start is for the Catering part of the business. I’ve got them to Cater 2 events, and the food is always amazing, but the event coordinators are SO BAD. They never reply, if they do it takes 2-3 weeks which is very stressful when planning an important event like a wedding. And I get that maybe they are busy, if so, then hire someone else to help you. But honestly responding to an email takes about 2 secs. I’ll definitely be back to the restaurant, but it’ll definitely be my last time using them for catering, which is unfortunate as the food is really good.

Ottawa has BBQ again! If I could give a 4.5 I would! I rarely give a 5. We had pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich. Neither were dry. The brisket holds upon its own and actually doesn't need BBQ sauce. The pulled pork with BBQ sauce top notch. With D&S being gone, these folks are the best in the city hands down. The coleslaw was very good but not outrageous. The cornbread, my friends mmmm yes! Best in the city, I challenge to find better. They have their own brew which I was impressed by. I preferred the lager over the the wheat. Both great summer drinks. The wheat was VERY light (refreshing, but I prefer more substance). Our server was good, however she forgot our knife (to split sandwiches) and our wet naps. No biggy, but I mention for an improvement. I would suggest to have more meat products on the menu in the future like smoked wings and maybe an armadillo egg ????. I these folks continue to grow and get a location in the west some day. All in all, check them out! You will not be disappointed with your decision!

I hired Meating catering for my wedding, we are very please with their services and recommend them to everyone that want quality BBQ food. The staffs is friendly and provided great service. The food was delicious! Guests had two to three serving! We also had leftovers for days. Matt and Joey were awesome and answered all our questions in a timely manner. They were also able to provided specific dietary accommodations to many of our guests: wheat (all grains), dairy, egg, and soy allergies.

Lots of interesting and delicious meat-centric dishes. Basically the far opposite of a vegan restaurant. Nifty communal-esque vibe to the seating (YMMV with this: I liked the seating arrangement and 2 friends we were with did too, my wife and the other 2 in our group really disliked it). Had an interesting vibe and decor looking halfway between a log cabin and a trendy hipster restaurant (like Stoneface Dolly's)... kind like how you'd picture Bon Iver's house, in restaurant form. Really nice on the whole, would recommend (unless you're a vegetarian or vegan)

It pains me to give them 3 stars. The food is awesome and a great smoke. I highly recommend it for a regular dinner and would give them 4-5 stars under those circumstances. BUT, we used their service to cater an event and were oversold food. BBQ is usually more expensive and I understand but being oversold was a huge bummer. They advertise themselves as a catering business and failed us in that department. To be fair this maybe a one time mistake, but since we don't entertain very often, throwing 1/2 our order in the garbage was sad. We were poorly recommended and for that reason, I have to deduct stars as there were waste of food and subsequently money. I have returned because of the taste. It is real good. The brisket and pulled pork are delicious. The deconstructed nachos were amazing and that smoked salsa is a show stopper. The side ribs were ok but I prefer St Louis fan so it didn't cut it with me. A very good BBQ joint, I can't recommed for gatherings or events.

Had the opportunity to order from Meatings Barbecue last night. I ended up getting the sharing platter. For protein I chose pulled pork and upgraded to the premium brisket, the sides I chose were coleslaw, mac and cheese and corn bread. The pulled pork wasn't drowned in BBQ sauce. Instead, a small amount of sauce was drizzled in the pork, with two small containers of their house BBQ sauce included to personalize it to taste. The brisket melted in my mouth! I'm not sure what the "regular" brisket tastes like, but I felt the $3 upgrade was well worth it. The coleslaw and mac and cheese (with crunched up Cheetos) complimented the meal really well. Will definitely be ordering again soon????????

Best Bar-B-Q I have ever had! Ordered take out from here last night. We ordered the sharing platter with chicken, pulled pork, sausage, and brisket. They were all so good I could not pick a favorite, everything had great flavor. As someone who usually doesn't like brisket I would order it again from here. The sides were a good size not too big not too small. The Cheetos topping on the Mac and cheese gave it a nice crunch. And the corn bread was moist and flavorful. The amount of food was a perfect amount for myself, my husband and our toddler with some left over. We can't wait to order from here again.

Don't know how to reply owner's reply so I will rewrite the whole thing. There are something I need to talke a little bit more since the owner reply me. 1.It is in the 6 AM morning and when people ordering food it is usually for breakfast. 2.The menu only have "Heat and Eat" which I didnot notice after I received the food. 3.There is ZERO notice or description in every food saying this is needed to be heat. Check other restaurant they all have description saying the food has to be cooked. Gyubee Japanese Grill is a great example. 4.The reason why I was so angry is just it took you guys over an hour to deliver a uncooked food. It is okay to wait for good food but not something like this, I could just go to Costco and get the same thing for less money. 5.Again, please make sure to put details about these foods that need to be heat so next customer won't order something they may not need to. 6.Please check my profile and you can see I am a very easy going person, some of restaurants did not make food that good but I still gave them 5 stars, In facrt, this is the second 1 star review I've ever gave in recent 5 years. Lastly, this is NOT about money, this is just about a restaurant that could be misleading customers. If you guys put detailed notes about each item in Uber Eats, that would be 100% my fault. I know how hard it is to keep open a restaurant in current situation, so I gave you guys 3 stars instead.

Four of us ordered the Platter which consisted of Brisket, Ribs, Pulled Pork and Chicken. We had a side order of Cornbread, Garlic Bread, Smoked Beans and Corn on the Cob. Finally our deserts consisted of Candied Pineapple and Butter Tarts. Our platter fed the four of us with lots to spare, all for under $100 with drinks. We found the Brisket to be the group's favorite meat. A rich flavour of smoke and sweet filled our plate. I consider the brisket to be one of the best I have ever tasted. The ribs were very succulent with a crust that resembled a dark maple candy.We found the tenderness of the meat and the smokey flavouring along with the rich marbling running through the meat not only pleasant to eat but a delight to the eyes as well. The pulled pork was another favorite that stayed consistently excellent from one visit to the next. Another evening comes to an end with great friends, fantastic food and a couple of drinks to warm the heart. I would give the overall meal and food 4 out of 5. What an evening! Meatings catered our private event last night and I have to say, it was a truly incredible experience. The only thing better than the quality of the food, was the quality of the whole Meatings team who made sure that every person there had a tremendous meal. I mean where else can you get A5 Waygu tartar, Iberico pork, waygu beef brisket, and so many other insane dishes all in the span of one evening. Either hire Meatings, or go visit them on the east end. You won’t regret it!

Great little restaurant on St-Joseph boulevard in Orleans. Park your car at the back of the restaurant and enjoy the aroma of the smoker as you make your way to the front door. The restaurant proudly displays a map of the area with all of its local suppliers identified on the map. The menu is kept smaller but there is plenty of options to satisfy everyone. Free refills on their house ice tea and pink lemonade which is great. Free popcorn while you wait for your food to be prepared as well. The food is fresh and flavorful. The jackfruit is a vegetarian option and tastes awesome! BBQ sauces on the table if you want to smother your food even more. The spicy BBQ sauce is fantastic. The staff is very friendly as well. Although it has limited seating capacity, this restaurant is still an excellent way for you to get your BBQ fix in Orleans. Highly recommended.

Very underwhelming. Had the sharing platter. Ribs, lean brisket, sausage and pulled pork with coleslaw, corn bread and grilled pineapple. Portioning was adequate. Taste for most left a lot to be desired. The maple bbq sauce had too much vinegar which spoiled the taste of the pulled pork. Coleslaw was VERY dry. Lean brisket's rub was too salty and charred. Sausage was ok. Ribs were dry but decent. Corn bread was tasty. The grilled pineapple saved the meal.

My wife and I went for the very first time this morning. The place was empty for a few minutes but started to fill quickly within 30 minutes. I had the brisket platter. My wife had the sampler platter with pulled pork, ribs and chicken. ALL the meats were smoked perfectly, the brisket was downright impressive (my preference). Was it expensive? A bit, yeah, but the quantity AND quality of food matched the price/value without any doubt in my mind. We will go back and I've already told all my Facebook friends about this new gem of a place!

Super great! Amazing to have this little gem in Orleans. Looks a bit shady from the outside (it is on st.joseph after all) , but it's super cool inside the decor is great, and more importantly the food is delicious! 4/5 stars. It would have been 5 stars but it's a little pricey.

Not bad, but not great. The brisket and pork were very well seasoned and had a very nice amount of smoke. However, they were both fairly dry, outside of the fattier bits which were delicious. Some (not all) of the ribs in particular had been clearly cut well ahead of time and either re-smoked or left to dry out well before serving time, as the cut sides of those ribs were drier and tougher than anything else. Maybe I got some left over from an older rack. The brisket seemed like it was also cut too far ahead of time, as it had lost all of its juices. Not exactly what I expected after seeing the juicy brisket on their Instagram. Tots were nicely seasoned. Slaw was good. Cornbread felt quite overdone and dry. Portions were great however. The 2 person platter was enough for 2 meals for 2 people. The tots were fantastic in the air fryer for a homemade poutine.

Excellent food, inhouse smoked. Had a sampler, which came with quite a bit of food for 20$. Delicious wings, some brisket, and potato fried meatballs were top notch. Recently hired Meatings for their Private High-End Catering and blew my expectations out of the water. Only time I have seen the 5 courses we enjoyed, was on Instagram in Vegas somewhere. A little disappointing. I am originally from North Carolina and really wanted some BBQ and was not expecting the same level of food but I was expecting at least something close to it. The beans were overly sweet, the brisket was dry, the ribs where bland, and the side where nothing special. My quest for great BBQ continues.

The meat was super flavorful. The best brisket I've had in years. They had a hunch of different sauces (check the other tables for some you may be missing). I barely used the sauce because the meat was so good on its own. Not many seats so best if you plan to take out.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The brisket and spare ribs were perfectly cooked and so tasty and I have never enjoyed bake beans as much. The service was excellent. If you like good food at a reasonable price and want to encourage a local business, this is the place to go. Not only are you encouraging this local family business but because they are buying their supplies from a long list of local farms and businesses you end up supporting more local entrepreneurs. We had the best experience tonight at Meatings Restaurant . It was easily a 10/10 . The ribs were amazing , the meat fell off the bones , the baked beans were the best I've ever had and the Mac and Cheese was delicious. To top it all off we enjoyed home made pecan butter tarts ...OMG so so good !! Not too sweet and the pastry was so light ..(great job Mat's grandmother ). The other thing I loved about it was the welcoming enviroment.. Carol Hunt is a class act....so friendly and super sweet . Carol makes you feel so at home, and makes sure everyone is happy . Mat was around checking on everyone and he too is super nice . Like I said , it was a great evening and I cannot wait to go back. We brought take- out home to our daughter and she LOVED every bite !! It's wonderful to have a great place to eat great food in Orleans ! Thank you !!

Had the family patter to share 4 meats we had chicken, fatty brisket !!!! , sausage and pulled pork with 4 sides dark BBQ beans!!!!, coleslaw, fries, Ceasar salad and we added the ribs for extra meat. Perfect amount for 5 people to share. So nice that the meat is all smoked perfectly with awesome dry rubs, bbq is on the side so you can add as much or as little as you like. A good if small selection of local craft beers to choose from. Limited seating so get there early or order take out. Great friendly service.

I am not a big fan of smoked meats however this place changed me. The food was amazing! So flavourful, succulent and tasty. We we're lucky enough to grab a spot on the big (only) table inside. It's incredible how such a small place can serve up such big flavours. The service was delightful, fast and efficient. Highly recommend their brunch. Delicious!

So delicious. My husband and I have had Meatings multiple times and it never disappoints. Perfect to order thru Skip the dishes on those Sunday mornings when you don’t want to leave the house! The food is so good... We’ve also been to a few events that Meatings has catered and know some close friends who used them as their caterer for their wedding and the food is beyond delicious.. no matter what option you get it’s delicious. Their catering setup is really nice and the staff are very professional and friendly!! Would highly recommend going to eat there or using them as a caterer. Can’t go wrong!

Awesome little hole in the wall, with great southern smokey flavor. As the name might imply, they specialize in everything of the fall off the bone variety, and also have an awesome DIY sauce selection. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Tons of flavour and tons of character for the meat curious, with the only downside being the small amount of seating. For sure worth the trip out to Orleans!

Chicken, ribs, tacos and nachos oh my. This place knocks it out if the park EVERY TIME. We've ordered almost everything on the menu over the course of multiple orders and every time the food is incredible. Today - we had the pork belly burnt ends and the mac and cheese. Sweet baby jesus on a summer's day. One of the tastiest things we've ever had the pleasure of consuming. The mac and cheese is the best in the city. Doesn't even need the little cheesie bits on top. The staff are always smiling and extra pleasant. We were there when it was crazy busy and they were so quick and efficient with everyone that came through. Can't wait for the next weekly special! We will be back soon!

The restaurant worked with us directly to resolve the issue and make sure we got the correct order at no extra cost. Plus we got to keep the wrong order. Enough is enough, I went today with my kids and found out that they removed all combos to switch the entire menu to the A la carte concept. I took the time to compare with the old menu and after a quick review I found out 2 things: portions have gone down and prices have gone up by at least 20% which is unacceptable. Clients should be made aware and act accordingly. Answer to owner's comments Mr Owner Thank you very much but I would have liked a more complete answer. From the price increase perspective by removing all the combos you instantly removed all the discounts or savings, please don't think customers have not noticed. Your answer is not complete. Also, as per portion size the last 3 times I came within the last month, I was shocked when the cashier told me that the bun was not included anymore, it was extra. The cashier also told me that the personal size portion was smaller. Your employees and yourself do not seem to be on the same page. My kids Mac & Cheese side dish went from overfilling the cup underfilled. Let's not forget the pickles that came with all the meals and the free popcorn while waiting, gone and gone. Portion consistency is also an issue. My brisket meat has not been the same the last three times I came in within the last month. Meatings was the perfect caterer for our backyard wedding. Their wedding coordinator, Lydia, was so great to work with. We were forever overwhelmed with planning but she was always on the ball answering questions, providing recommendations. They were very accommodating with peanut allergy concerns. In a city which can be classified as a smokehouse desert. Meatings Barbeque can be classified as a hopeful Oasis. The briskiet was so nicely seasoned, that it made me want to go for more. The ribs smoked just right didn't even needed any extra sauce. (You can order it but honestly!!! DONT DO IT.) And to my surprise the jackfruit ????????????????(let the emoji do the talking there). Keep a tray ready for me fellas next will be pulled pork and sausages. On the scale of 1 to 5 , Give this guys a solid Swanson. (Those of who get it, have to try out this place it's sensational.)

The food was excellent. All the meats were top notch. My kids loved the taters and the Mac'n Cheese. I also like their good selection of craft beers. The blueberry beer that they carry was very fruity and delicious. My only complaint is the place is really small. You may be out of luck if you go in a large group. Best to order take out.
