The food is absolutely fresh, the staff are nice, though their service is noticeably slow. Today I was there and just because there was a large group before us, even getting two coffees to start with took about 20 minutes. Then another 30 minutes to get our food. I think they need to rethink their prioritizing method in service. I would have given 3 stars but the food is too good.

Snobby owners, who think because the have a degree in cooking their somehow above everyone else. Staff is cold and distant not really welcoming and the food is sub par, the selection of alcohol is also very weak. Do not really recommend this to my friends. Oshawa requires better food choices and better standards.

Made a reservation on an online service for a 9:30 AM table I showed up at the time I reserved and the restaurant was closed, apparently they only open at 11:30AM but did not update this on their reservation service. The restaurant then marked me as a "no show" for my reservation... I did show up, but I won't again.

Pick a seat the bar for a full view of the kitchen and prep area. The brunch options are fantastic. I had the banana rum French toast which was exceptional. Being a bakery the croissant was also delicious and flaky. Highly recommended but call ahead for a reservation. It is very popular on weekends.

I fully understand how phenomenal this place is when I visit, but I'm still taken aback by just how magnificent Berry Hill is every time I eat there. Not only is the atmosphere and service fantastic, but the food is genuinely fabulous, and well-portioned, at that. And fresh, oh my word, is it ever fresh! The prices are also really great! This is the hill I will die on. A hill of berries. ;)

This is one of Oshawa's finest upscale casual dining locations. Their patio is cozy and shaded, their menu offers sophistication and the owners are smily and joyful people. Ask for a seat on the patio and escape the city scape and enter a green and red retreat.

First thing I like about the Berry Hill is that they are accessibly located along King St. They also offer take out and delivery if you have no time to dine on their Patio. They have variety of delicious snacks like pizzas and salads which are reasonably priced. Staffs are accomodating. The place is clean and they are practicing Covid-19 safety measures. All in all, Beverly Hill Food Company is a good place that offers good food and good service.

I went there a couple weeks ago and I absolutely loved it but I’ve been ordering there from takeout recently and the quality of food for the potato soup which was my favourite has gone downhill... first time I had it it was like extremely creamy mashed potatoes turned into a soup but now it seems like weird potato water and the colour is different too it’s more green now... The owner was warm and welcoming which made for a very pleasant entrance and experience! I had the flatbread special (pizza on a flatbread), which was insanely good and is up there on my favourite places to get pizza locally. My partner agreed with the other reviews that coffee was amazing and we both loved how passionately the owner spoke about it's origins!

It's a small but cozy place with a nice ambience. The menu is enticing, all choices sound amazing. However, execution was blunt and my dish was a bit disappointing. Also, they did not have many of the items from the dinner menu. Maybe they're good for breakfast/brunch?

Went here for breakfast, greeted and seated immediately with a carafe of water. Unfortunately their equivalent of a standard breakfast was going to be $50+ for the 2 of us. We left and found a traditional breakfast spot across the street and over a block for half the price. Adding a second star because I'm hoping the dinner menu is much better.

Food delivered was mediocre. The cost per plate was incredibly high for the quality. Turkey was dry, gravy less than flavourful. Vegetables were barely cooked and hard. Mashed potatoes were nice and the cranberry sauce was quite tasty. The best part were the pumpkin tarts. Very good! Perhaps Berry Hill should stick to sweets and pastries. Unfortunate.

I’ve lived in Oshawa for a year and have tried a lot of restaurants. This is by far the worst I’ve tried. We got 2 bowls for take out. The bowls were cold, not sure if that’s the way they are supposed to be. No flavour, chicken was so gross, couldn’t even eat it. Not worth the price, seems like something that you’d grab at a school cafeteria. The parm bowl also said it came with roasted chicken but it was breaded. Here is a picture of some of the pieces of chicken.

I love berry hill! I have honestly only ever been for breakfast. I especially like their beef tenderloin eggs Benedict that is served on Saturdays. They also have excellent coffee! If you like stronger coffee, you will particularly enjoy it!

I took my mom here for Mother's Day and was extremely disappointed. I completely understand it was busy and the waitresses were run off there feet. The floors around the table were covered with food which was what I first noticed. We waited an hour for our food. Upon recieving it my mom's single pancake had a long black hair on it and my vegan french toast barely cooked just wet and mushy. I would have sent it back but at that point I wanted to just get out of this place. I won't be returning.

Lovely place. The cozy ambience and the friendly staff are really nice and we enjoyed a light, but tasteful dinner. Parking can be a little tricky, but once you manage that, you will enjoy the view of Downtown Oshawa while you tuck into your meal at Berry Hill.

Coffee and food were delicious. The menu is creative, with just enough options, but it was still hard to choose! I love the decor, and the atmosphere of the restaurant. We were the only table at the time, and we found the experience to be lacking basic steps of service (no milk/cream brought with coffee, no cutlery at the table, and overall just slightly underwhelming). I would definitely recommend to visit, and would give 5 stars if service was improved.

Worst breakfast ever! If your looking for the classic breakfast this is NOT the place. They add a strange seasoning to the potatoes and cant scramble an egg..would recommend nor go back. Even the coffee was bad.

Visited today for my first time. I was quickly helped to my table and given water in a vase which was nice. Service was very friendly and attentive. Menu is small but I decided on a lamb burger and garlic fries. I also had a coffee which was very good and cups are big. The burger was a bit overcooked but was still very good. The fries are very tasty but taste can be overpowering after a while. Overall I had a coffee, a coke, and the burger for 25$. Place is clean and has a nice modern look. Would recommend!

The ONLY thing that saved this place from a one star review is the gentleman who came out of the kitchen to make sure we were okay. We stood waiting by the door for a long time, the waitress who "greeted " us was snippy for no reason. She sat us RIGHT next to the door when there were other, better tables visibly ready to be seated, & we were completely blinded by the unavoidable sunlight beaming into our table - & ONLY our table. Beyond that, when we asked for a high chair for our two year old, the waitress walked away without saying anything, & came back with a grossly food covered & sticky high chair & dropped it on the floor in front of us, not even facing the table , & walked away again without saying anything. After 10 -15 minutes someone else came to our table & brought us water, but never asked for a drink order. Once we managed to get the terrible coffee to our table we ordered food. The food was pretty okay actually, except for the fact that the waitress had clearly spilled the fruit cup onto my eggs Benny, then tipped the hollandaise covered cantaloupe back into the dish, & brought it over to me. At this point, my eggs Benny is soggy on one side from the fruit juice soaking into my English muffins, & all of our dishes were cold when they hit the table. A gentleman did come out from the kitchen & remade my friend's meal, but no one else's. The waitresses dropped more than two trays full of dirty dishes in the dining room during our mediocre meal, one of them pouring some kind of liquid down one of the guests. All in all, not a very good experience. I would go back one more time to see if it was just an off day, but not any time soon. For what we got, it was overpriced & underwhelming.

We had a wonderful family lunch at the Berry Company. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Definitely get the fresh buttermilk biscuits with fruit compote. Delicious! I also highly recommend the chorizo ranchero and pancakes (3 inches thick- not kidding!). The service was excellent and the space is simple and beautiful.

Everything about Berry Hill is excellent! We had a reservation for a large group but our group kept getting larger and the staff at Berry Hill were very accommodating and understanding. Despite the size of our group, our orders were all brought out in good time and were correct! We enjoyed every bite of the delicious food and received many compliments for our choice of venue! One of my rare (only?) 5 stars rating. Have been there multiple times now, breakfast, lunch and now supper. Setting- clean, funky with enough space so as not to feel like you have to whisper. Service- always excellent, attentive yet relaxed. Food- all meals I've had were of excellent quality, fresh ingredients, great presentation and expertly prepared. We went for dinner and ordered an assortment of small and large plates to share for the table. The brie, calamari, and seafood skillet were delicious and well prepared. The mushroom bruschetta flatbread was a misnomer, it is really just a flatbread. The chicken pot pie was rich, flaky, and seasoned well. Foodwise, it would have scored a 4 out of 5 stars. The reason it is a 2 star is because the service was sub par. The staff were unfriendly, sat for 10min before anyone even offered drinks, did not tell us about the specials (we only knew there were specials because we overheard another table near the end of our meal), did not refill water, did not ask us about desserts, and we couldn't even flag down anyone to get the bill for the longest time. Food is good, however it was such an unfriendly atmosphere, I would hesitate to return.

Literally the best brunch in Durham, hands down. Staff so pleasant. Beautiful interior. Bathrooms need work and cleaning. Attention to details at what I like. The potatos were actually seasoned. A rare occurance for breakfast. Wonderful house salad with lemon shallot dressing. Eggs done to perfection. Side bacon wow! Baked not grilled. Perfect perfection. Coffee and espressos from local trebilcock roastry! Oh yeah Mimosa and the hot spicy bloody Mary also amazing! So excited to know a place like this exists! I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. We went in the summer during covid times. They have a small outdoor dining area in the back which was pleasant. Tables were appropriately spaced and the restaurant was following all protocols which I personally appreciate being high risk. It's hard to find restaurants with decent healthy options and I was able to find some here which made me happy. The service was great. There was a slight bee problem lol. Obviously that's the cost of eating outside. Don't know if there is anything that can be done about that but that was really my only complaint about the whole lunch lol.

My husband and I have been ordering pies from Berry Hill for 4 years. Two weeks ago I ordered our usual 25 pies. They were nicely packed in labelled pizza boxes for transport. When we got them home, all but two pies were split open at the bottom and their contents oozing out. Some were cracked down the side and some had bubbled over ill fitting tops. These pies cannot be classified as seconds and are not presentable to serve guests. At least one person handled them and knew they were in this condition, yet we were neither told nor given the chance to refuse them. We were disappointed having spent $134.47. So, I called and left a message but no reply. I left a second message but still no reply. As for taste, the Chicken was just okay, the Beef & Guinness was bland and the Veggie (now changed from the flavourful tomato base to corn/carrot/gravy) had zero flavour. The pies were great in the past but at $134.47 for this quality, it's time to find a new source. Post Owner's Response: Full credit to the owner for assuming responsibility for this unfortunate occurrence. He was apologetic and determined to make things right. We came to an agreement regarding compensation that was fair to both parties. This was much appreciated.

1. We waited over 10 minutes for one table to be cleaned to get seated. 2. Sat down and had to wait another 10 minutes just to get our coffee order. 3. 30 minutes later we are still waiting on the coffee. I had to get up and go to the cash to ask for one to go to get it made. The table next to us arrived 7 minutes after us got their coffee right away. 4. Staff looks miserable and not friendly. 5. Small portions for the price. 6. Food is very tasty. I gave an extra star for this. The food is actually really tasty. I understand you’re busy. I get you’re a breakfast place and you were packed when we got here. We were warned that everything is slow including receiving coffee but this exceeds slow service. Also within 10 minutes of arriving 4 tables left and are sitting empty. The restaurant is essentially half full. I’ll also stress again - you’re a breakfast place. There’s a level and speed of service that is expected for the type of place and your price point. It would also help if your staff smiled once in a while.

Good apps desert was nice. Had the chilli good as always. Matcha latte was also good. I mix my meals a bit so I was throwing in the pickled peppers into my chilli. I love this place. Love it's interior and the whole set up. The wooden tables and white seatings with colorful cushions and the huge windows draped with transparent curtains. It's fabulous. 5 stars for its interior and to whoever designed and implemented it. This individual or uals know what soothing beauty is. Food is amazing. It's unlike what you would find in the GTA area. It's something I'd expect to find in quebec city or in new York city tucked away in some not so conspicous corner of the huge metropolis where you wouldn't expect to find such a gem of a place existed if no one guided you to it. One can notice that careful thought and planning and effort has gone into the quality of the ingredients used and to make it healthy and appealing to the eyes. Use of spina h and potatoes and beans and kale is noteworthy and appreciated as well. A very strong 4 stars in the grub area. Always room for improvement and I wouldn't want you guys to be complacent in this area specifically. Arrogant of me? Hey I'm the customer ????. Now to the other most equally important area of this business. Customer service. You enter the place through a single door opening to the inside of the place and you will be greeted with smiling faces. My only issue? ( ah there always has to be something. isn't there? Human beings are never happy and satisfied) our waitress seemed to be in a hurry to take our order and felt like I was in a convent with the convent nun staring down at me barking orders and asking questions. Felt pressurized to place the order right away. Takes the Fun out of the whole experience. When I go to a place like this, I wanna go through the entire menu and see the creativity and attempt to connect with the customer ("my sister loves sandwiches" part was amazing. My eyes lit up when I read that. I loved it I loved it "????). In this case I felt pressurized and worst part felt deprived of the fun in going through the entire menu(I eventually did but half the time I was thinking, hey if I wanna go through the menu, she just will have to wait. I don't want to be in such a zone. I want my mind clear of any unpleasantness and enjoy what I'm fortunate to experience). Anyways I'm sure the hostess is not alwaysike that. Maybe she was having a bad day or morning. To me service is so important Esp in tbe restaurant business. People go to restaurants for the overall experience and not because they can't get food at home. Hostesses need to know when to and whom to engage with in what way and when they do engage, do it from your heart. Restaurants and places like berry Hill tend to define a community and town. People should end up feeling part of something good when they get in and out of your place. I noticed the other hostesses (nope don't like to call them waitresses. Just me. Sure nothing wrong with that. But I like to choose the best option available and if there isn't I make up one. For everyone's sake) and they seem to be pleasant and not just because of their amazing smile (im a sicker for smiles ????????) but also because how they make themselves sound very pleasant. Not an easy thing to do when working in a restaurant (well yeah this is just a breakfast place. Bit I like to call it that). Anyways, I didn't ramble on for too long did I? I'm sorry if you are left wanting. I'm a person of small words and don't like to go on. As you can tell ????. A very strong 3 stars for the service this time. Oh there is ample parking spots by the way. Weekends I guess you can park across the street in the parking area for free. It's reserved for city officials but weekends it's free. However I like to see cars parked by the side of the road besides businesses. I like to see the streets with flowers and you know what, in the winter you should put a small portable heater and a mattress if someone wants to leave their pets outside. In summer it can be changed to water and a fan. Dogs love a good fan. Is that too much. It's up to you. No judgement on that. So, strong 3 1/2 stars overall. Had a lovely brunch experience at Berry Hill Food Company this morning. Tasty Frozen Mango Bellini and Rummy Caramel Banana French Toast. Decadent! Staff were warm and friendly. Not the biggest of restaurants, but a nice size for sitting and chatting with a friend. Got a great table near the back where we could see all the fabulous dishes coming out of the open kitchen. We had Berry Hill do the catering for our wedding back in May. While the food was excellent at both the tasting and at the wedding, they were a challenge to deal with throughout the entire experience. There were multiple weeks between email responses when planning, then at my actual wedding they ran out of all liquor within 2 hours, despite us ordering and having paid for an open bar. My family also hosted a family brunch there the morning after the wedding and had a terrible experience. They waited an hour and 45 minutes for their breakfast, and weren’t even offered coffee refills, nor any other service, during that time. While we appreciate the quality of food, because of the above we won’t be going back or using them for any other events

I had placed an order for pick up and the woman on the phone told me 15-20 min. 20 min later I go to pick up my food along with a coworkers food and when I get I'm told what I ordered they don't make anymore even though it was on the menu. The woman on the phone didn't tell me that. And I brought a specific amount of money so now I had to reorder and go all the way home to get more money then all the way back to get the food. After I get my food I realized it was thrown in to the box and it leaked all over the bag. Bad first experience! Not returning!

Second time here. First time here was March 9th and the 2 of us had tickets to Pink Floyd Experience. Our wait time was ridiculous and were told twice 'it's coming right up'. We had to gobble down the food and run. We gave the benefit of the doubt. Tonight(April 5) was the second and last time. Despite calling from across the road at the bank and asking how busy they were prior to saying how close we were, they were not, as truth was told to us and we were immediately seated. Guess what, we waited and waited...starter was forgotten and service was not good. Had to go to bar for my own refill. Did not see waitress for quite some time prior to that. I really hope management had her her doing something else. Waitress blamed 'new system' for forgetting starter. Again I gave benefit of the doubt and still gave a $10.00 tip on a bill that totaled $80.00. Management and staff get it together. We like to find good local privately owned restaurants and support them...but your digging your own hole. It was 6:40pm when we walked in, too many tables open. That should be your feed back. Food was good and 'the special' bacon wrapped cod. Piece of fish was way too small and a little undercooked. P.S. this is the second time I have only taken the time to bother passing on a review and I usually do what the largest percentage do and let people/management find out the hard way. Berry Hill get it together! Oh ya we seen the same waitress in 'apologetic mode' with another couple on the east side of the entrance, we were on the west side. Take a chance people and go next Friday night, April 12th, they have a week now for a group meeting.

We love going to Berry Hill for breakfast! The food is great. Sometimes the food is a bit slow to come so be aware if you are dining with children or in a hurry. Also, while they are kid friendly, I think they only have 2 high chairs and not all the tables would accommodate these well since they are fairly close together. That said, we take our kids there often and they always take great care of us.

Loved the restaurant as soon as i walked in. the design had a bit of rustic comfort vibe that fit perfectly for a mid-afternoon lunch. the food was great, i ordered the turkey sandwich with a Negroni lunch special. The Negroni was a little sweeter than I'm used to ,but the sandwich was phenomenal; tender chicken breasts with the perfect amount of avocado, though I'm allergic to tomatoes but i imagine that'll taste even better for those who doesn't have an nightshade allergy.. the fries reminded me of hickory sticks, they're a skinnier cut than the usual fries, but the battering and seasoning was just right. price wasn't too expensive, we had a great time.

Horrible and extremely rude customer service!!!! I made reservations via phone for the Tea House Parkwood Estate via Berry Hill Co as their online system was down. Staff member had confirmed via phone and said to call back if I didn't receive the email confirmation. I called in every week to follow up only to find out a very rude staff representative indicating their systems are down and to call again when the Owner arrive. Three weeks have passed and still no resolution!!! Extremely disappointed!!! Wouldn't even give them one star!

It was not bad however I believe the menu needs to be more exspisid especially for people not use to the restaurant. One of the other guest @ the table ordered what I did hers as an app mine as a main. Everything about the two were totally different! The texture (mine was over cooked), the temperature ( mine was not as hot), also the colour of mine wasn't very nice. It was grey... Now I have nothing beards but the cook/chef was working in a dimly lit kitchen with a very long beard (it should have been covered. Not to mention the server also had an unkempt beard. If I ever went back it would be for lunch so I could see & spend less time in uncomfortable seats.

We had heard that they had a good brunch and we were very pleased with our meal there this past Sunday. My dad and mom had the eggs benedict with smoked salmon that came on a croissant instead of an English muffin and he said their hollandaise sauce was one of the best he has had plus it came with nicely seasoned potatoes and a fruit cup. I had the deep dish pancake with apple/butterscotch compote on top and bacon on the side. The pancake is huge and thick and the sauce was slightly sweet so I just used it to flavour my pancake and did not bother with the syrup. Delicious! Nice selection of different teas and we tried Cream of Earl Grey which was great.

I had a meal from the Whitby Licious menu. I had a very comfortable seat by the kitchen. I had the soup of the day which was tomato she was excellent. I had the pan seared salmon which was very good. Although I found it a bit salty. Finally, I had the Berry Hill cheesecake which was delicious. Overall, I loved the meal and would recommend Berryhill to anyone who would like to go to a downtown Oshawa restaurant for a good meal.

Their food is always unique not the regular run of the mill type restaurant - expecially breakfast. Only comment is the service is extremely slow so don't go unless you have lots of time. Not a 'quick lunch' either. Lovely spot in Oshawa. We went for dinner and I enjoyed an amazing fish stew that was full of flavour. Massive portion that was overflowing with mussels, calamari, and shrimps, big and small. It was served on a hill of beans and potatoes in a rustic soup style. Caesar salad was also yum. I will definitely go back!

This place is fantastic. They have the most delicious eggs benedict ever!! Great dinner menu as well. Everything is made fresh on the premises and created with love and care. The patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. There we 30 of us on the patio this September after my son's wedding and everyone was overjoyed with the food. Large portions, friendly staff, excellent food all the way round. Highly recommend!

Tried to order from menu on table was told it's not available and brought a new Menu, no problem but then my husband pointed out same items but different prices, so I told them to cover up the old menu prices or remove it and the waitress didn't think it was a big deal and kinda shrugged it off as being normal for a restaurant to change prices. We found nothing but confusion, there was confusion explaining menu to the family next to us too and swapping menus 3 times on them. My husband's Benedict came without the mushrooms and the waitress just apologized and said it was her mistake for not checking, no discount or voucher for us to come back. I normally tip 20% but I gave zero because of this mistake and the way it was handled. Not going back.

Good Food but many issues with service. We heard good things about Berry Hill and their Scones were great when we sampled them at a local event in Oshawa so we couldn't wait to try out their restaurant. On our arrival the waitress was friendly but confused as to were to sit us with a stroller, we suggested a seat that would keep it out of the way of everyone walking by and everything appeared fine as we were seated and menu's presented to us. After asking about the coffee and desert options we were told that the menu on the tables was not the right menu and she went to get another menu to give to us (Items were similar but prices were higher), we were confused as the menu on our table was the same one as on every other table in the restaurant, we selected our meal and waited for it to arrive other patrons sat down at the table beside us, were given their menu and started looking over it, their waitress came over explained that she was new and that to bare with her, they started to ask about the food options and she looked at their menu's and stated that the brunch was over and that those were the wrong menu's and she had no idea why they were given the wrong menu's, she went back and brought out the "dinner" menu and proceeded to try and explain how dinner was after 5pm and between 3pm and 5pm they could only order from certain portions of the "dinner" menu. After a half dozen or more tries of selecting an item only to be told that is a dinner item they eventually found a selection for their family. Our meal arrived at that point and the first thing I noticed was the "Fresh Fruit" that all breakfast's were supposed to come with was no more then a thimble with 3-4 slices of fruit in it, hardly enough to even cleanse one's pallet, I also felt something was missing but I couldn't put my finger to it. We ate and as stated above the food was good, cooked and seasoned well but about half way through the meal it occurred to me that my meal was supposed to come with sauteed mushrooms, I asked my wife if she remembered and she thought it did as well and went to try and find someone to ask, she came back stating it was supposed to come with mushrooms but "sorry they were forgotten" (in a dismissive tone), no offer to make them, no offer of a substitution, not even a proper apology. We finished the rest of the meal and when it came time to pay I asked the waitress what happened with the mushrooms out of curiosity thinking perhaps they ran out or something else occurred only to be told "I didn't check the plate before I took it, sorry" (Again in a dismissive tone), looking at the bill we were being charged full price despite the incomplete meal but we paid and left. It's clear there are not just issues with staff experience but with the dynamic between them as well with it seeming no one there wants to talk to each other and almost goes out of their way to avoid doing so.

Went here for Mothers Day brunch and the food was wonderful. Bennies was delicious. Good size serving. My only disappointment was the the use of plastic straws in my juice glass. Totally unnecessary and not an environment friendly practice. Please get paper straws...or better yet...no straws. Thanks for the wonderful food and friendly staff.

When I first discovered this restaurant 4 months ago I was thrilled by the quality food and the friendly customer service. I frequently ordered take-out from them and had originally given this restaurant a 5-star review. My experience today however was rather unfortunate. I called in to place my order only to be told upon arriving that something was wrong with their ticket machine so my order was not sent to the kitchen. The lady at the front apologized and said my order would be ready in 10 mins so I went back to my car and waited. After the 10 mins I called and was told that my order was ready and waiting by the door. I was now ready to enjoy my meal but was shocked when I took my first bite into an undercooked burger patty. It was still pink on the inside! The bread pudding was also not fully warm, as if it was just quickly reheated in a microwave. It was evident that my order was made in a rush which is such a shame. I would have gladly waited longer if more time was needed to prepare my order properly. I felt like my money was wasted.

Not very good. Floors were very dirty but given the weather and all the salt people bring in, can be overlooked but our table was dirty too. It wasn't very busy so not sure why our table wasn't clean. Burger was way over cooked, dry and crumbly and very charred on the outside. Flourless chocolate cake was good. Overall, not a great experience. Probably won't return.

Very small. Tables very close together. No pot pie, quiche or Coke Zero. Why is this stuff on the menu? Ordered pricy lamb burger (third choice). Did not even remotely taste like lamb and very spicy. Fries covered in salt. Barely touched my meal and not even asked why by the server. Left hungry. That’s all.
