This was our second year going to Shaw's. The service was fantastic and waitress was very friendly. We got seated within 5 min and was eating within 10min of ordering. Food portion was huge! I only gave them 4 stars because I really wish there was someone to tell us more about the maple syrup tapping process, maybe during the wagon ride.

I've had a pig roast every year for quite a while now. I decided to try Shaw Catering and it was the best decision I've made. Terry-Lynn and Tom were fantastic about the whole process. Their design for the BBQ and fool proof step by step directions make it hard not to have a perfect pig. Best of all I don't have to clean anything. I'm a customer for life now!! The wedding was great and the pig roast was also a resounding success.

Just attended a wedding this weekend at Camp Couchiching in Orillia. The dinner -catered by Shaws- was out of this world!! They offered a delightful selection of fresh, soft breads, the most amazing potato salad I've ever eaten, (and I've had a few), and plenty of deliciously smoked pork, along with corn on the cob and a few other fixings to suit this spectacular feast. It's tough to say which 'topping' I enjoyed more: the jar of melted butter to dunk my cob of corn into, or the maple BBQ sauce for adding to my meat. They were both an amazing addition to this wonderful meal.

There isn't much to do here. The horse ride treks through tapped and tubed trees without much fanfare. Nothing interactive to do with the kids. We didn't get to pancakes, so I can't comment on quality or price. Unless you're going for pancakes I would not recommend it.

My wife and I brought our 17 month old son and had a blast. Pancake breakfast was amazing, the syrup was top notch, and we really enjoyed the horse drawn carriage ride followed by a walk through the bush. I think this just became a tradition for us!

Such a historic place! GREAT meals at a fair price and full of happy staff. Trails around in the bush are VERY beautiful and great to walk around on. Going around in the bush on a wagon ride is REALLY good idea for the whole family.

A visit to Shaws has become a right of spring for us these past few years. It's not only the food (the French Toast and sausage with real maple syrup is great) but it's the interaction with the owners. Tom and his wife are just all round nice people. For the last few years we have also done pig roasts with Shaws. I've got to say these guys have it down to a fine art. Everything needed, and I do mean everything, is supplied. All you have to do is pick up the gear and the pig and cook the pig. If you can read instructions you can do this. The nicest thing is after you're done people will think you are great. Would I recommend these guys? In a New York minute. Almost forgot, their maple syrup is to die for. If you need a fix they carry it year round at the Carthue Bay pub where the boat launch is at the foot of 14th line.

Always come here late spring to get my maple syrup for years. When they are bottling the syrup the bottle is full of hot maple syrup. Saddens me a lot that I can't sit down and have a stack of pancakes. Thanks covid but it won't always be like that

Delicious pancakes and sausages. Their maple syrup is world class. Great prices for breakfast/lunch. Been coming since I was a small child and it's amazing to see how the maple syrup is manufactured. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. Absolutely worth the drive.

Good food, but apparently their company policy is that they need to be paid in full or they won’t show up to whatever event you hired them to cater (whether you paid a deposit or not). In this case it was my wedding. I didn’t realize I had to settle the balance that day or they wouldn’t show up - I wasn’t given any paperwork or a contract or anything. I found this out the morning of my wedding while I was getting my make-up done. Not exactly the time you want to find out you’re on the hook for several thousand dollars or else you’ll have a lot of hungry guests. Reeeeally makes me wonder what the point of paying a deposit 6 months prior was.

Shaws catered our wedding a few weeks ago, and oh my goodness, the food was incredible! I have received so many compliments on the meal that was served - we had the hip of beef, baby potatoes, maple glazed carrots, whole kernel corn, vegetarian pasta & garden salad. I can not believe how perfect the meal was. They offered up a selection of rare, medium & well done for the beef, which was great for everyone & the potatoes and vegetables were delicious. Thank you Shaws for providing such a wonderful service. They even did a few extras for us, like setting out our veggie trays and serving up our cake. Terri-Lynn was great to work with - very organized and professional! Would definitely recommend Shaws Catering for any event! They are truly the best.

We were very impressed right from the beginning. We met with Terri-Lynn to discuss catering to a wedding and show her our facilities. She was very helpful and brought bottles of their Maple Syrup- nice touch We had several communications to clarify the details. We ordered small bottles of syrup as wedding favours. On Wedding day the Shaw team arrived early to start the barbecue set-up. guests enjoyed talking to the staff. The buffet table was beautiful and attention to detail incredible. Van was positioned so as to be sheltered for the unloading of supplies. The food was fantastic- very delicious. Many guests went back for seconds. The homemade barbecue sauce was a treat. Terri-Lynn went to every table to ensure everything was perfect. The BEST part for us was the clean-up. The catering staff scraped the rental plates ,packaged left-over food in foil containers, and left coffee and tea for guests to enjoy later. The Shaw team cleared away everything (including garbage) and were gone. We definitely recommend this catering service.

Good food and great service, just wish they served orange juice or cranberry, I don't drink coffee, or tea, just don't like it, I cant drink milk and I'm allergic to apples, and water and pancakes isn't really that yummy together. I feel bad bringing in my own drink because I don't want to be rude.

Would highly recommend a visit to Shaws Sugar Bush. The family are so warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. I had a fantastic time exploring the grounds and finding out about the process involved in making maple syrup. We were shown around by the owner and then enjoyed some amazing pancakes. It's a lovely family run maple bush farm. Serves the most fluffy pancakes I have eaten. On weekends they are very busy so be prepared to wait at least for 30 mins to be seated. They have a horse wagon ride. However unlike other maple bush farms they don't bother to explain the maple syrup making process. You are kind of left to your own devices.

Shaws catered my wedding at my family cottage near Coldwater. We chose to do a whole roast pig with a variety of sides. To sum up our experience with them would be pure perfection. Right from the planning stage they were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. They showed up to the venue which was a bit tricky to find aswell as difficult to set up their equipment at. However they had no problem getting everything together and set up perfectly. They were also able to accommodate gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan diets. The roast pig itself looked amazing and tasted even better. I would recommend shaws to anybody and was totally blown away by their service. Thank You so much for everything Shaw's!
