Here you will be able to see all the opinions of people who purchased the products of Mariposa Market (Catering) in Orillia (Canada).
Nowadays the business gets a score of 4.7 out of 5 and this rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is virtually the best one, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the assessment is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to set feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

I picked up two pies on Dec 23. Drunken Christmas pie and pumkin pie. I ordered ahead and service was good. The pumpkin pie however had no flavor and the crust was ..well I don't know what it was. It did not taste fresh or good. I usually make my own pie but thought I would treat us. The last time I bought a Texas donut it also tasted a day old and lacked flavor. New baker???? The drunken Christmas pie on the other hand was delicious with a flakey crust.
Tried the toasted s’mores mocha and Skor Donut!
Great place! Id tell you to try their garlic dills but then there might be less for me lol. The donuts are amazing and the food is pretty good.
I picked up a cake here for my son's birthday. Great selection of baked goods that all look delicious. The death by chocolate cake was incredible. My family and I will definitely be visiting again.

A very cute (but huge) place if you are in heading to Muskoka, with wide variety of items ranging from sauce, jelly, spreads, cakes, pastries and breads. We tried quite a few things from fresh bakery items along with coffee and all of them tasted pretty good. While we didn't get to try but have heard, their tomato soup is a must try and they usually run out of it, by before lunch times. This place also has a gift shop within the vicinity.
Love visiting this place, has something for everyone. So many delicious baked goods to choose from. Great spot to eat in and also perfect for taking things to go. I love their cakes for special occasions, the San Francisco Sourdough bread …
Had heard good reviews about this place. Seeing it in person is another level experience. Hidden gem in Orillia. Must visit. Perfect for dates, brunches with the girlfriends, family and even just by yourself. Little shops to explore inside for souvenirs. Its usually busy.
So many yummy things! Portions are huge! Service is wonderful and the flavours are the best of home made goods. Once seating is allowed after covid this is a fantastic place to go have lunch and get a Texas sized doughnut! My favourite is the homer doughnut in photo

The absolute best place for any sweets and special coffees when you step into Mariposa market the atmosphere is as if it's out of a hallmark movie 100%
Fun shopping experience. Lots of nice gift ideas and pastry selection. Shop local and help sustain businesses in your area. Big box stores won't go out of business but our neighbors might if we don't help them out.
Mariposa used to be a 5 of 5, but my last few visits from this summer have knocked it down to a 4. Everything here used to be bang on. Favorites included the cornbread and death by chocolate cake. My favorites are still there, but you can …
Great baked goods and preserves. Large selection of prepared meals and snacks. Hot chocolate and cider to cap it all off. So much to try, definitely requires repeat visits to try it all.
We love coming to Mariposa any time we are in town. Lunch is always good though sometimes it can get a bit crowded. We love the lemon loaf (and other flavours) but wish they have the lemon blueberry one with the icing more often.
Service
Busy spot , other than how busy it is I would give it 5 starts , the selection and quality of the food Is amazing. The staff are all great friendly people; I go for lunch and I order cakes all the time always consistently good , the mini cakes are so tasty and the art work on the cakes make them some of the nicest cakes you can find. I would definitely recommend stopping in if your in a orilia, I’m sure you will love it.
Best bakery I have ever visited. Outstanding products. Visited again for the second time this week. We had a delicious homemade lunch here. Its a busy place at lunch time, there is so much to choose from. including a wide variety of teas. had a Texas donut It was huge. Will definitely return here and we highly recommend it.

Mariposa has always been a favourite over the years. I recently visited again after moving away to find it totally changed not for the better in my view It has lost the atmosphere that made it cozy and inviting in order to sell..sell..sell their goods. Seating removed and only upstairs or at back cold entrance. My favourite stores not within anymore or downstairs wares and fudge closed off. There is very little in the remaining store worth buying. Why can't they keep it like it was a place worth visiting..unlikely to return again. I remember the days it was a vibrant cozy meeting place we looked forward to visiting...not anymore.
Having never been into this establishment before I was mightily impressed with the Mariposa Market! Busy with sales and 'lookers' and folks having lunches on the balconies above, the market seems a lively place even on a weekday. Side rooms offer some clothing and specialty bath and beauty items, and more baking available in the back room with extra seating booths and washrooms. Seems like there was something for everyone here, and I really enjoyed the smell of the fresh baking as I came through the door.
This place is definitely a gem of this town. Really good sandwiches and cakes. The chocolate loaf cake was yum and so was the blueberry cheesecake. Super busy place still they provide excellent service.
We ordered a variety of tarts, cookies and brownies for dessert at our small backyard wedding and everything was so delicious! My maid of honour picked up the desserts for us and everything was ready to go at the time I had requested. I thought I had ordered too many, but there were none left at the end of the night! We received so many comments on how delicious everything was.
Great place with kind and hospitable hosts. The place is a blend of restaurant and café with connected bakery/specialty store. I had their spinach quiche and Mac and cheese. Both were delish.
A very cute and colorful place with lots of sweets and baked goods. They also serve lunch items such as wraps, sandwiches, quiche, smoothies, tea, etc. The staff were super friendly and very attentive. A must visit if you are in Orillia.

This great bakery never disappoints. Every time I go in I always manage to come out with something. Even during the pandemic they offer a decent selection of food. Can’t think of anything I have not enjoyed. Their mini cakes are great.
This market and bakery/cafe is on the Main street of Orillia downtown. The store is beautiful on the outside and on the inside. It feels like an European bistro. The center of the establishment it’s a bakery, flanked on both sides by stores, one is a clothing store, and the other is a Home Goods store. They sell really neat things on both stores. The bakery has a lot of choices for savory and sweet goods. Great place to have breakfast or lunch; there are a few tables to seat and enjoy your food. We enjoyed our savory items very much, all of them. Their sweet baked goods were not as good as Wilkies though.

Very worth the trip to Orillia to visit this market & bakery Some artwork around downtown Orillia
This place is amazing!! I have never seen such beautiful cakes and such a huge baking selection. We got some donuts and sandwiches to take home with us. If passing through Orillia be sure to stop in here, you will not be disappointed.
Worth the drive! Packed with wonderful home-made and local foods, baked goods, treats and spreads. The decor and open concept market vibe was beautiful, and the place was well-staffed to ensure customers were serviced quickly and pleasantly. We had a San Francisco Baked Hot Dog, a Pulled Pork Sandwich, a Chicken Enchilada, and a BBQ Chicken sandwich. For dessert, a Blueberry Fritter, a Homer Donut, and an Eclair. All delicious, plentiful, and very fresh. We will be making this a weekly visit for sure.
This bakery is the best sweets bakery around. We drive from Barrie for the apple fritters alone and always end up with more than we bargained for! Hands down best fritter!

Stopped here on a long drive for a bite. Staff is friendly. We got the mac n cheese with the chilled strawberry cheesecake and YUMMY! All the food was delicious, our mac n cheese was so fresh and warm! Lots of seating and cute art on the walls. We were impressed by this place and the variety they had. Lots of people here for a monday afternoon - will visit again if in the area :)
Beautiful shop with delicious baked goods and hot food. A must-visit place
When I read about this place as a must visit historic market in Orillia I thought it would be an outdoor market with antiques and baked goods! It's not outdoors but it's still pretty amazing. Looks like a small store front but once you go in you see how it expands and is really big and bustling inside. There's a bakery, freshly made lunch, coffee, smoothies, bottled spreads and sauces and there's also a basement section offering fudge. Lots of seating upstairs and outside as well. The store is connected to 2 other shops selling soaps, clothing, and souvenirs. Really enjoyed visiting here, it's a vibrant place in town that's always busy.

Over the top huge donuts and amazing pastries! Wow, it was a treat to see this place in Orillia. Next time I will be getting lunch! They have breads, pastries, donuts, cakes, sandwiches, wraps, quiche, along with the side shops that have a ton of candies, cards, skin care, and novelties.
This place is beautiful! We received amazing service when we popped in on a Sunday morning for coffee and pastries. Everything we bought was so tasty, especially the cranberry pumpkin pecan muffin which was truly a thing of beauty. Two friends recommended Mariposa Market to us while we were in Orillia this weekend and I can totally see why. I’m so glad we checked it out.

My first time at this market today was extremely stressful. Social distancing and flow of traffic completely ignored. It was busy and for good reason, it’s a great place food wise. Pricey $$$

A nice place to shop for local goods and souvenirs. It's tourist-oriented, so you will pay a bit of a premium, but hey, you're on vacation. Treat yourself!
Pretty sparse with the downstairs being closed. Could be due to supply chain issues and covid. Still 4 stars as the upstairs wasn't even fully stocked. Overall a really neat place with tons of potential.
Very good selection and the baked goods are fresh. Their prepared sandwiches/foods are okay, but none are memorable. Expect large crowds and rushed service. Also, they sell out fairly early in the day (I'm not sure why they don't make more, especially on a long weekend), so aim to arrive early. (The photo is of a gopher tail.)
Their delivery service is excellent. I placed a large order at Christmas during the rush for a Royal Rose gift basket, skor donuts, a few blueberry/strawberry jams and a dozen gluten free cherry shortbread cookies. All arrived quickly and everything was fresh and well packaged. Their delivery driver was courteous and followed contact free covid protocols. Upon unpacking my order I discovered they included a free Christmas gift which was an unexpected nice touch. This was my first order but it certainly will not be my last. I'd rate this business six out of five stars but Google limits my rating to five so I'll just have to settle with that.
I LOVE Mariposa Market! Everything is homemade and you can taste the difference for sure. I'm addicted to the French Turkey Croissant (it has red pepper jelly on it and the cheese croissant is AMAZING)!! Don't buy the cookies or tarts unless you're mentally prepared to eat three at a time! ❤️
Lovely bakery in the heart of downtown Orillia. Interior is warm and welcoming. It’s hard to not wanna buy everything. The donuts are delicious and the Skor butter tarts are to die for. Lines ups can be long, but the servers are working as fast as they can. Busy atmosphere. Overall, I’ll be back again and again.

Such a wonderful atmosphere. It is old time quaint with up to date customer service. The food is excellent and fresh. They always have some gluten free options available, and the wheat free bread made on sight is fantastic.
