Smaller than other Denninger’s but still has all the staples they offer. The downtown location is very convenient as it offers a large variety of European food products from chocolates to cookies to cheeses and cold cuts. They also sell ready made foods, meat products, a full deli section and hot meals. On my way out I also noticed a gifts section with gift baskets and different hand curated items. The cheese selection is always impressive as well as the confectionery items on display. There is also a lot of parking and staff are as friendly as other locations I visited and eager to help. You can sample a lot of the deli products depending on what their specials are.

Love, love, love. ???? My very favorite place to go in Burlington, Oakville and Hamilton (when I'm in town). The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. The food that you can buy to dine in or take out is SO GOOD. Then you can buy it cold or frozen to make st home later. The burgers with their gravy is a great meal to make at home. You won't be disappointed. ????????

Recently purchased Denninger's Prime Rib Burger Patties. They were not cheap and just disgusting because they are pure fat, I've never had burgers flame up like that and you have to squeeze the fat out of them and keep moving them on the grill so they don't burn, if you don't squeeze the fat out you are left with a burger that oozes fat into your mouth with every bite. I normally don't buy burger patties and since I needed something quick I trusted Denninger's to have a decent product, WOW was I EVER wrong!

Love this little store! Went in this morning to pick up a dozen hot cross buns and a few other treats for the Easter weekend. Staff are always pleasant and attentive. Convenient parking lot and nestled in beautiful Bronte.

This location in Oakville is the smallest one. It offers many different products from Germany and freshly made at a store. Bread , famous delicious sausages, pastry, cosmetics and really good quality laundry detergents. At the back of the store you can find a lot of parking spaces. 100% recommend ????

I celebrated my nomination yesterday in this excellent restaurant. happy to tell that we enjoyed a terrific evening and the venue was evidently the reason for that strong event. This is one of my favorite places to go in the area. The prices are generally higher but I think you also get very good quality consistently. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I feel they really do go beyond to make you feel welcome. They have a grocery section as well as a place to get hot food and serve coffee as well.

Very helpful staff. Cash out was extremely slow but just my timing I guess as only one cashier and an elderly lady was asking questions about every item she bought so it appeared. Ordered a chicken on a bun at their lunch bar but all out as I was there after lunch and next alternative was pork on a bun. Tasty but a little dried out. Great international selection of foods.

I wouldn't buy things here that you can find at a "regular" grocery store ( like Loblaws ) unless you are desperate, or don't feel like going to another store, because the prices are significantly higher.

Stopped by at the store today. When we came out our car was towed by Phil's towing. Had to pay $367 to get the car. Not coming to bronte again. Not the stores fault but they should talk to managment as they are losing business because of unethical practices by towing company.

Denninger's used to be one of my favorite stores until I heard all of the stories about the rip off towing company Phil's that prowls the lot looking for unsuspecting visitors to the area. I was told that there is a security guard at Denninger's that tips them off. Bronte was such a friendly store over the last 20 years. Such a shame that it has come to this. Stay away!

Parking is a nightmare! I just got towed and had to pay $400! The signs are completely misleading as they read "must remain on premises". I had no idea that the restaurant on the west side of the lot where I was going wasn't one of the "premises". Why aren't they specifically listed? Shameless money grab on the part of the property management and businesses. I would have moved my vehicle if I had been told - instead security watched me and called a tow truck. So unethical!

I recently moved to Bronte, after having lived in North Oakville for the past several years. I was so excited to be by the water and enjoy the small town atmosphere that I always found Bronte to have in spades. That was until my son's car was towed away. I felt terrible. I was the one who told him to park there. Huge mistake! Not only was his car towed, but he was charged $300 for parking in the middle of the day. What a wonderful welcome to Bronte. Denninger's is a great store by itself but unfortunately the parking lot behind the store is infested with scam towing scheme and your car will be towed if you don't watch it closely, regardless if you shop here or not. Ransom close to $400 demanded to get your car back from shady business called Phil's towing with no office and no customer service. Check some older reviews to verify. Denningers has better stores outside of Oakville that are safe.

If you want a smaller store, in a more relaxed shopping environment in the centre of Bronte Village, then why not try Denningers....loads of free parking at the rear of the small strip plaza where the store is situated (enter by side street) in the centre of the Village. Enjoy the relaxed environment, free from a mall (enclosed) atmosphere. Friendly staff. The store also has its own cafeteria style restaurant, which faces Lakeshore.

I was in the store today to pick up some Easter stuff and it was crazy busy that time. Long lines at the deli and also at the cash. The lady's name at the cash was Erika and I just got the fastest service ever in this store. She handled that long line alone, also she bagged everything and in the meantime she also had a smile on her face and a few nice words for everyone. Thank you very much for that excellent service. She just made my day. At the deli I also got an excellent service from Kim. Thank you Denninger Oakville.

This is by far the worst Denninger's, the hot food quality is very low and selection is abysmal. The hot counter won't let you pay there so you have to stand in the regular cash line. Cooks were eating with their hands right behind the line as soon as we were finished getting our food. Breads and pastries are very low quality and different from the rest of the Denninger's locations. Will not go back to this location but will be a patron for life at the others

Beautiful store with assorted selection, similar to a WholeFoods but different variety. I had 2 lunches and deemed them overpriced ($40) for what they were; fish & chips was nice but chicken schnitzel was disappointing. I know there’s different varieties of schnitzel but this was just an un-tenderized chicken breast (thick) with what tasted like cheap chicken soup seasoning. Came with 2 sides which were cold scalloped potatoes and mixed vegetables that were assorted but I guess the mixed part was raw & overcooked. For the quality and look displayed from the outside of the store to the inside look, I think they should pay closer attention to their meals, as this is what also attracts some of their customers. Some of their in-house products (cookies, tarts) didn’t look the greatest and still overpriced - maybe they are exceptionally tasting but I didn’t take the risk after the lunches. Perhaps should consider selling them at lower price so people are enticed to try. Also got an Americano which was more expensive than a regular Starbucks one (close to $5) and it tasted like a watered down instant coffee. Disappointed again so I’m not going back. Products can be found at other European Deli not overcharging or if at same price, not overcharging for much better coffee and in-house meals.

This location is the worst in the chain. The clerks constantly apologize and will tell you, "You should go to Burlington for this or that." Have no clue why you can't see fit to build a large size store in Oakville, which now has a larger population than Burlington, is not a poor community and which also has very little in the way of shopping facilities. Southwest Oakville is a particular shopping desert. Not even a single bakery outside of grocery stores for 40K people. I just don't understand you not seeing the opportunity. Monastery Bakery, which isn't very good, is jam packed, because nothing else is available.

We happened to park in the parking lot at Dennigers on Saturday right at closing time in Bronte and decided to take a leisurely stroll down to the water. When we returned, we were shocked to find that our car had been towed! The parking lot was almost completely empty and it took us a few minutes to figure out what happened. There was one sign near the entrance that we obviously hadn’t noticed that read “customer parking only. All others will be ticketed or towed” When we called the number it was Phil’s towing and they gave us the address and said that Dennigers called them to tow us! $367.00 later! Thank you for your small town hospitality Dennigers. You will never have our business. I understand if it was a busy time of day and we left our car for hours, but this was closing time and was obviously done just to be mean.

Do not visit any of the stores that share this plaza!! We just came back from going out for dinner at The Firehall in Oakville. There wasn't enough parking there, so we parked across the street at Centriller Square. The signs for "no parking" are not very visible, therefore we did not see them....We had our car towed!!!! This is ridiculous as I will not be going back to any establishment in that plaza again, not will I spend my money anymore in Bronte (I will post this to my Facebook friends as well) $365 to get my car out. Someone is watching to see which cars park in this parking lot and is receiving a "kickback" for sure. I think the owner of the plaza & phil's towing are in it together. This is extortion!. There is no other way for them to know who is parking and where they are going. They tow 8 people per night (picking and choosing which cars to tow). There is no reason why people cannot park there after 6:00, when there are spots avail. Bronte will not have anymore people spending money in their stores or restaurants if they keep this up!!

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS Horrible, horrible ladies who run this place. I believe their names are Kathy and Lisa. I know multiple teenage staff who have worked here and they all said the same thing about the two ladies being unimaginably rude to not only them but to customers as well. I saw a teenage employee being belittled by Kathy for making a simple mistake, clearly upsetting the worker - followed by Kathy realizing I was watching and then acting like nothing happened. I've also seen her act hostile to harmless customers Please do not support this business. You are directly giving money to these two terrible ladies. They truly deserve the worst.

Food's generally good, especially at cafeteria. Store items quite Euro style but both areas are EXPENSIVE. Meats etc made in their own plant (only Provincial inspection, so they can "get away" with a lot.) Ingredient / nutrition labels often in error or missing. Few / no knowledgeable staff - just sales people. Overall, ok, but not up to the hype. Very impressed with themselves.
