Everything was made lovingly from scratch! Many guests came up to me to let me know that her beef wellington was better than the one at Carver's. Not only was the meal one of the best wedding meals we've had-- it was one of the best meals, period. Beyond the food, however, Evelyn was flexible, friendly, and entertaining. She described each of her dishes to our guests which added an extra specialness to the meal. It's a real relief to have an affordable, delicious, and accommodating catering company in the city! Evelyn catered a day-long professional meeting of about 70 physicians, and her creations were a hit! Instead of making "alternate" meals for people with dietary restrictions, we make the whole day vegetarian and gluten-free. The white bean stew with sage was so tasty and satisfying, and the quinoa tabhouli salad was fresh, with perfectly cooked quinoa, and loaded with crunchy veggies. She does not skimp on fresh ingredients! And her gluten-free cupcakes are dreamy. In setting things up, Evelyn is very well organized. She responds to emails and phone calls in a timely way, with good information so you don't need to backtrack. And on the day of the event, she was punctual, organized and reliable. Whew! Evelyn catered our wedding (about 80 people). We chose an appetizer menu of all savoury options. We had a number of food considerations, including vegans and vegetarians, but also people who are just plain picky. Everyone loved the food, in particular the lamb meatballs, carpaccio and bean dip. The staff were professional and kept everything well-stocked. There was never an empty plate and Evelyn was just lovely to work with. She really knows her food and the flavour combinations were fantastic!

We ordered a whole bunch of food off of Fresh Dish's weekly pre-made meals menu. The food was of very high quality, included lots of vegetables and was very tasty. It was such a good option for having food ready to go (just baking/heating up needed). We found the portion sizes good for the price. If you're looking for ready-made meals that are also healthy and clearly made with care this is a great option.

Do yourself a huge favour and have Fresh Dish Catering for your next event. Evelyn is the hero of my wedding. We had non-stop compliments about the food, and how it was "Not typical wedding food." Evelyn is happy to work with you on your menu, and came up with beautiful dishes to meet our needs. It was so easy and stress-free to work with Fresh Dish. Evelyn is a great communicator and answers e-mails and communications promptly. We never had any concerns about Fresh Dish. As weddings can be stressful, it was so nice to not have to worry at all about the huge aspect of catering. Make sure you ask about her amazing pasta! We had the menu below for 180 people. Everything was absolutely stunning. Evelyn was amazing to work with for my wedding. She was very helpful in navigating our budget and needs, and the food was AMAZING! The full service was so helpful, we didn't need to do anything! Evelyn is very professional and you can tell she cares. We went over every detail and everything went perfectly. The mashed potato bar we had for our midnight lunch was insanely good and I would recommend that to anyone!

Evelyn and her staff catered our wedding of 160 people. Right from the first communication with Evelyn she was amazing and efficient in her responses. She was wonderful to work with, very accommodating to dietary restrictions, and the food was absolutely amazing. Guests commented on how nice it was to have healthy, delightful food for a big group of people, on the variety of food, and how nice and great the staff was. Everyone was very pleased! She was great responding to questions, and really easy to work with. I would highly recommend her. Especially loved the salmon, curried chick peas, and cupcakes!

Evelyn was great to work with and available to answer our questions and develop a meal that was perfect for our event and budget. She arrived on time and was wellprepared for the evening. We used Fresh Dish Catering for our wedding of 200 people. We were so relieved when we found Evelyn, as we had had trouble finding a caterer who could accommodate our numerous and unusual requests! For our wedding, we made our own perogies, buns, pickles, mustard, rented giant BBQs for a pig rotisserie in buffet style, and made homemade squares. Evelyn's team 1) made us delicious roast veggies and salad sides; 2) took our frozen perogies, carefully pealed the wax paper off of them (unfortunately stuck to them during the freezing process), and cooked them in butter and onions; 3) served our buns, pickles and mustard; 4) dissembled, carved, and served our roast pork; 5) put our wine on the tables and staffed our bar for the whole event into the wee hours; 6) cleaned off tables when guests had finished eating and washed all the antique plates by hand; and 7) set out the homemade squares we had for dessert. Evelyn was so accommodating, and was a calm and stable "can-do" presence for our chaotic wedding, which we so greatly appreciated. She was so easy to contact, and as a stressful bride that is a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. All of our guests commented on how they could not believe that this was wedding food. I also enjoyed that we were able to keep the left overs for our gift opening the next day (we also had the choice to have Evelyn donate the left overs to a shelter, which was awesome!) She is enthusiastic about anything, it's clear she just loves to cook and please people's palates. She's gotten into wedding cakes in the last few years, and they are true works of art. There's just nothing she can't do. I would absolutely have her cater anything - from a simple lunch to a splashy affair, she's got the talent and the menus to make it shine. Fresh Dish catered our 20 year high school reunion recently at a location just outside Saskatoon. We had ~50 people and a set per-person budget. Evelyn was great with helping choose a delicious menu to fit perfectly within budget. We had a few attendees with gluten allergies/sensitivities and we had no problem choosing from a very wide variety of dishes that fit this need but that everyone would enjoy. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection and every dish was a delicious hit. The guests raved about it well into the next day. The Fresh Dish staff was friendly, attentive and professional. Set up and take down seemed to happen by magic in the background while guests enjoyed themselves. They did a lot with a small space and the attention to detail in the presentation of the food did not go unnoticed. Overall, we were very impressed. Planning the next event will be a bit easier knowing we can call on Evelyn and her team. Highly recommended!!

Evelyn catered our wedding dinner for 120 people. The experience was stress-free (Evelyn took care of all of the details) and we were 100% satisfied. The guests loved the food; there was such a variety of fresh, interesting flavors that suited everyone's tastes. Some of the highlights were the wild and brown rice with pine nuts and sundried tomatoes, cuban chicken, and the roast beef. Booked them to cater our small outdoor wedding in summer 2018 - supper for 20. Would highly recommend! Emailing back and forth to sort everything out was very easy. Food was amazing and there was a LOT more than we needed. Many guests commented on how wonderful the food was. The highlight for me was the wedding cake with real buttercream icing - I believe there was vanilla in the cake but rose in the icing. I am not a cake person (usually find icing too sweet) but THIS was a perfect, creamy, cake of cakes, which I essentially hoarded the rest of for myself post-wedding. I ordered flowers and greenery myself to assemble my bouquet and planned extra to stick into top of cake - Evelyn was totally fine with that and quickly made the cake beautiful with the flowers I'd reserved when she arrived. Would book with them again, for large or small party. Planning a cake redux for 5 year anniversary.

Evelyn catered our cocktail-style wedding reception for 170 people. She put out a wonderful spread of appetizers and desserts. We were thrilled with Evelyn's service and our guests raved about the food! The top favourites were the pulled pork sliders and the meringues. My wife contacted Evelyn at Fresh Dish Catering to cater my 60th birthday party. We had a small group (7 people) due to Covid 19 restrictions. Evelyn's menu is amazing which made it that much harder to choose what to have for our meal. My wife is Celiac and Evelyn provided GF choices for each part of the meal. We had the roast beef , Chicken with Artichokes, Steamed Seasonal Vegetables, Quinoa/Avocado/Cucumber and Lemon Salad and Pasta Salad. The food was absolutely AMAZING!, Staff were very professional and accommodating. They were on time, set up and take down went very smooth. I cannot say enough about Fresh Dish to make anyone understand how good the food was and how easy she is to work with! You will have to try it out for yourself!!

We had Evelyn cater our daughters baptismal dinner, it was a small group of 15. From the start we found Evelyn to be friendly, prompt and easy to work with. We met with her to discuss menus and settled on the specialty Italiano menu. Due to the midafternoon timing of our event we asked for a charcuterie table to start with a selection of meats and cheeses for our guests to snack on, Evelyn's presentation was stunning. She complimented the meats and cheeses with a selection of crackers, jams, bread sticks and pate that were all homemade as well as some imported items. She also provided suggestions for wines to pair with each course. From the quail roll on pea shoots, gnocchi, lamb with polenta to dessert Evelyn's flavours were excellent, and her presentation beautiful. When it came to clean up Evelyn made things a snap by providing her own dishes. We will definitely be using FreshDish catering again.

I have nothing but good things to say about Evelyn and fresh dish catering! We had citrus chicken, stuffed peppers, potatoes, roasted veggies, and two salads for our 30 person wedding. Everything tasted amazing. We also had them do our wedding cake as a custom lemon flavoured with raspberries inside the buttercream and they prepared us lemon tarts. The deserts were light, delicious, and exactly what we were hoping for. We originally booked fresh dish for a 200 person wedding and when we had to drastically reduce our numbers because of the Covid-19 pandemic Evelyn was very understanding and helpful. When we met with her to discuss our menu she was very open to making changes to her recipes or making something completely new for us. She was also very helpful when dealing with dietary restrictions. The food showed up on time and there was more than enough for everybody there to try everything. We would recommend fresh dish to anyone looking for catering for any event!

Fresh Dish Catering was recommended to me by a friend who is a chef. Evelyn catered our small, 35 person wedding in a backyard. She was professional, responsive to emails and phone calls, so accommodating, and SO easy to work with. She introduced herself to our guests, talked to them about the menu, and had all the safety precautions in place to serve a buffet dinner during Covid. Everyone loved the food and honestly it was some of the best food we've ever eaten at a wedding. I would hire Evelyn again in a heartbeat!

The food was absolutely unreal, our guests are still commenting on how flavorful and different her appetizers were. My favorites were the quinoa salad and citrus herb chicken, although everything was mouth watering, top cake and cupcakes included! Very professional, efficient, easy to deal with and personable. We rented plates and cutlery and hired staff to clear plates which I would also recommend!

Evelyn and her crew at Fresh Dish Catering catered our wedding last weekend. We had 180 people at our hall. She made citrus chicken, beef Wellington, and a vegetarian chickpea curry as the main. The food was amazing. Everyone was telling us how great the food was! For dessert, carrot cake and cupcakes were served. She was professional, prompt, and did a really great job overall. The beef Wellington was a really big hit, but it did slow down the food line. I would recommend her to anyone!

Evelyn was delightful to work with in planning our event for approx. 200 people. She suggested a perfect mix of vegan, veggie and meat dishes that had our guests raving! From the zucchini mini tacos, black bean dip with home made pita chips (yum!) to the sundried tomato puff pastry sticks, mini cupcakes, the wings and sliders, everyone continue to go back for more and more! The staff were friendly as they replenished dishes and cleared away plates. The food was beautifully presented as well...so glad we found Fresh Dish and have already planned to use them for our upcoming events.

Evelyn catered our wedding (95 people) and was extremely helpful and easy to work with throughout the entire process. We received tons of positive feedback on her food throughout the evening and the next day (especially the cold smoked pork tenderloin), and had a couple of guests tell us that they stayed late specifically because of the mashed potato bar! We also had some last-minute confusion regarding rentals, and Evelyn dealt with it very efficiently. The staff were very friendly and professional, and were extremely diligent about keeping the tables cleared and helping us set up the dance floor later in the night. We had Evelyn and her team cater our wedding Aug 2017 for 44 people at the Francophone Centre. The food could not have been better! We had the herb and citrus chicken and the stuffed peppers for entrees and they were both perfect, tender, full of flavour. They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options which was a pleasant surprise. Dinner was maybe 10 minutes late which is not even something to worry about, but Evelyn made sure to let us know and apologized. How amazing is that?! That tells me that she really cares that your event is a success. Evelyn was very diligent in her communications and made sure all the details were taken care of beforehand. She provided us with plate and utensil rentals as well as plate cleanup and a bartender. She and her staff were in and out without disruption, honestly, I barely noticed them working away. They made our special day just a little more special. All of our guests were raving about the food (and still are a few weeks later). I could go on and on with praise, but what it boils down to is that Fresh Dish is reliable, courteous, and delicious. What more could you ask for?

Evelyn, and her staff at Fresh Dish Catering, catered our wedding dinner for 80 people. We’re glad she did. Her menu was diverse and delicious. We would never have thought to serve pumpkin apple curry at our dinner until we saw it on the menu. To be honest, it was probably the most raved about dish in a meal full of fantastic food. Unique touches like pansy flowers in the green salad whipped up some excitement too. It seemed as though every time we asked our guests how they enjoyed dinner, they told us it was the best wedding dinner they had ever tucked into. To make matters better, her prices are extremely affordable. She was easy to work with, in person and in answering questions by e-mail. We even rented most of our place settings from her. We strongly recommend Evelyn to anyone in search of a caterer.

I hired Fresh Dish Catering to provide service for an all-day workshop for 22 people, including the workshop facilitator. The service provided to me was exception, and this includes from the day I inquired about catering to when my invoice was sent. It's common for the participants at these workshops to have several different dietary restrictions, which makes it sometimes a challenge to set up catering. Fresh Dish provided superior service to any other caterer that I've used - and there have been several. All I needed to do was provide a list of the restrictions and Fresh Dish took care of the rest. The food was beautifully presented, and there was exactly the right amount for the size of the group. The staff who set up at the event took the time to explain the food offered, and she was lovely to work with. If you have the opportunity to have Fresh Dish cater your event then I cannot emphasize enough how you should pick them over anybody else.
