Can’t believe I did not know this place! Amazing home made Italian food, great atmosphere, friendly services, Sandra is very nice; and super taste veal just like advertised. 3 of us desert + lunch, plus a slice pizza take away - they add toppings. And it is a huge slice! It is all in 61$ for lunch. Each of us ordered lunch plate that is one meat and two side. The veal is really good. Lunch is like 10.99$ each. So much food none of us was able to finish all. A absolutely hidden ???? gem. Btw there is gelato as well - we did not try but maybe next time. Come back for sure. P.s this place also offer Catering - a client did Christmas catering here and he said it is really good.

I found Sandra through Google 1 week before my event for 25 people. Sandra and the people who work there were humblingly warm and kind. The food was tasty, fresh and phenomenally cooked. Sandra is an amazing woman, very friendly and takes pride in the quality of food one will experience from her kitchen. We have lived and traveled in Europe, and have finally found our go to place to fulfill our craving for delicious Italian food. We had the pasta and sauce, seafood, sandwiches and more. Oh and if you haven't tried her desserts, we have not ever had a better tiramisu! Any of the desserts will keep you wanting more.

The Best Italian Food in North York! This is a hidden gem, you have to really squint your eyes to see it when driving on Steeles. I was hunting this place down for years as I remember dining here when I was 12 or 13 in the middle of a snowstorm on a Saturday in January (in 2004-2005) and the tortellini rose was so heartwarming and delicious. No other pasta in Toronto, that I've tried has ever compared to the rose sauce here. This is real Italian cooking. I decided to go on an adventure to find if this place still existed and was happily surprised that it was still here! Thank goodness that there are still some true, Traditional European Toronto gems still stand regardless of everything this city has been through. I tried the Penne a la Vodka (with pancetta) and Tortellini with Rose sauce...and the Caesar Salad. Included was oven fresh bread (focaccia?) in the order, made to perfection and everything was packaged very elegantly...the portions were huge compared to other well known Italian restaurants in Toronto that have sadly downsized - I honestly couldn't believe I was in North York since the food tasted like I was in Woodbridge! The outside and inside are so quaint and original, humble...a lot of charm.The best part of this experience was knowing that this place STILL has the delicious Tortellini rose that stands the test of time, I have tried many other places and no one seems to come close to the flavourful, high quality, rich sauce reminding me of childhood. I saw all the good reviews and wanted to try this place out. I got a panzo with sausage and onions. Came up to $17. They charge $2.50 for meat toppings and $2 for vegetable topping, which is ridiculous. The panzo on it's own is $9. The flavour was okay, I rather pizzaville. Better flavour while being cheaper.

I had a craving for a hot veal sandwich and Sandra's popped up on my search. Although it was peak lunch hour, service was fast and friendly. A wide selection of hot table items was available and it all looked good. The veal sandwich was delicious and messy (as it should be) and the espresso is excellent. This may become my go to lunch spot.

My regret is not discovering this place sooner. I was in the area getting a tire change at Discount Tires (also great place) and stopped by Sandra's for lunch. Upon entering, the smell of fresh homecooked food filled my nose and I immediate felt satisfied - I knew this would be good. I ordered a veal sandwich combo (fully loaded sandwich + sides) to go, so I can eat it at home once my tire swap is done. 30 minutes later, the food is still piping hot. The sides of roast potatoes & pasta is delicious enough as standalone items, having them as sides was a huge bonus and would make me go back to try other items. The sandwich was fully loaded, with toppings oozing out the side (but yet not messy); the bun was nicely toasted and the flavours are explosive in your mouth - safe to say this is a top notch sandwich. The taste of the food is definitely the most important aspect and it exceeded my expectations. The environment and experience was a huge bonus; what I mean is during my 15 minutes inside the store, there were multiple other customers coming in and out grabbing pick-up orders. For those ordering, they all had such personal and friendly conversations with Sandra, it truly felt as if you were in her home kitchen. I felt quite grateful to experience this type of interaction and knew this place was special to many peoples' hearts. Overall, I'm beyond excited and if I'm in the area or craving good italian food, I would make my way here.

My friend (Liz)placed a catering order for pick up. We are afro/Latina and love seasoning and spice. With that being said the foood was amazing! The parm chicken was generously sized. The vegetables were perfect! The linguine rosé pasta was perfect. The focaccia was by far the best we have had. It was very affordable. Also, I have to note the awesome staff. The way they communicate and double check for accuracy. The gentleness that everyone spoke with to one another. The diversity behind the counter was very warm and welcoming. Sandra is typically very busy but that does not stop her from being efficient in responding to phone calls and emails . You can definitely tell she has been doing this for a while! The food is affordable and Taste great !! What really stood out of me was that the food arrived HOT and on time ! To me that’s so important . What’s worse than serving your guest cold food ?umm.. Nothing ! She is great at giving suggestions if you are unsure about a particular item or how to cater to your guest needs. For example , some of my guest had a gluten intolerance and Sandra does provide tasty gluten free options . A double wow ! It’s so hard to find catering that accommodates different dietary restrictions but Sandra does it . I will be using her services in the future . I’m so happy I found this buisness !

This is my second visit to Sandra's in 2 weeks. I have not eaten out since Co-vid began. Last week, lunchless I was racking my brain trying to figure out what I wanted. I remembered going to Sandra's many years ago but given that I'm Italian, Italian cuisine is not usually my first choice. Anyway I'm very happy that I went. Last week I had veal on a bun and it was excellent. The bread was toasted just right, the veal was tender and piping hot and the sauce could have come from my own kitchen. Today my friend and I had a panzerotto and once again I was pleasantly surprised. Freshly made and the sauce was delicious. Great value for your money and very generous portions. The owner has wonderful energy giving the place a very upbeat vibe and .....as I was waiting for my food I noticed she greeted many patrons by their first name which I like. Will definitely go back.

However, today I ordered shrimp and herb pasta and it only had 2 shrimps and no veggies. I'm still going to give them 5 stars because all the other times I ordered food everything was great.

Meat lasagna was really good. Ordered a few days in advance, everything was ready as soon as we arrived to pick up. Garlic bread and other sides we're pretty good too. Lasagna leftovers were even better the next day. We got a small for 6 people - could have easily fed 9.

Went there for the first time today. The pizza “slice”’was MASSIVE and only $5.95. That’s a deal in itself, but it was also the best pizza I’ve eaten in my entire life, and I’ve been to Italy. We couldn’t decide what to get, so we also purchased a veal and chicken sandwich, and the penne alla vodka. Unreal flavours and serving sizes. We will definitely be back. 10/10.

I recently got back to work and the food truck was late today so I ordered Sandra's on Skip the Dishes (first time customer). And am I ever glad I did. I went with Chicken Pesto Alfredo and it was magic. Massive portion and absolutely delicious - this is more than one meal folks. She added a Mars bar with a note that said "Thanks Andrew!". It seems there is a general consensus among reviewers, she is very thoughtful, generous and kind. Nobody goes hungry on her watch. Will order again. And again. :D Thanks, Sandra. It made my day.

The food is delicious and the staff offers amazing customer service and Sandra herself is a sweetheart and such a delight to deal with. Every time I come in I get exactly what I order. Sandra’s Italian Kitchen is one amazing hidden gem of a restaurant. It was my first time visiting for catering on Sunday Nov 1st for my son’s event and this place is exactly what Italian food should be! Authentic homemade food, unbelievable portions, quality and taste that is second to none. We ordered the family dinner for 6. First off, it could feed 8 hungry people no problem. My selections gave us beautiful freshly made focaccia, delicately fried rice balls with cheesy centers, creamy penne rosé that was so light and yet so satisfying, HUGE white-meat chicken breast parmigiana, seasoned grilled vegetable medley of exceptional variety of heirloom carrots, broccoli, eggplant, peppers and more and a side of crispy calamari fritti. As if the taste and quality wasn’t impressive enough, the little garnishes of lemon wedges and parsley and basil sprigs inside the trays were the added touch that shows pride in the restaurant’s dishes. A side of marinara sauce, some cutlery and plates to go... every extra fine detail is taken care of for the guests! All the trays were professional packages to ensure optimal freshness and a safe delivery home, what more can you ask for?!! We can’t wait to try more menu items!! I discovered this little place after a Google recommendation. Sandra was there working with all her staff and she greeted me as I walked through the door. This cozy little place is setup perfectly for takeout and they have followed all recommended social distancing rules. Sandra recommended all of the hot food that was right in front of me, and i got pretty much a little of everything. I had some of the chicken parmigiana and the portions were huge for lunch! The best part was the focaccia bread as it has been a while since we've had fresh bread. Highly recommended.

Sandra catered our large family birthday event and it was perfect! She was accommodating, friendly, and flexible. The food arrived on time and was excellent: apps, foccacia, antipasto, pasta, mains, and desserts. The eggplant parmigiana got especially rave reviews, but everything was tasty and of great quality, and portions extremely generous (guests probably took home as much as they had there). She accommodated a nut allergy for the whole order, and specially prepared food for my mom, who has a very complex set of food allergies. My mom, who finds it almost impossible to eat out, actually shed tears when she saw a whole tray that included safe variations of virtually everything that everyone else had. It was enough for a week. I would strongly recommend Sandra as a caterer for any event, large or small. It really felt like she became part of our family for a night.

There are only two places that I eat at when Im working in this area... Sandra's and my Nonna's house. The food tastes like home. The portions are generous, and the staff genuinely wants you to enjoy your visit. The catering is as delicious and very fresh. Sandra truly has a passion for her craft and it shows in the product. We had Sandra cater in our Team meal for my daughters hockey team, we are from Sudbury. The food arrived on time, Hot and ready to serve with everything we needed. The food was AMAZING everyone loved it and the portions were large and we had more the enough to go around. Will definitely use her again for our tournaments when we are able to!! Would highly recommend the food to anyone that asks. Pricing was very good as well.

I've driven by many times but never realized they were there. Pitty!! I just had the most delicious meal that Sandra prepared for me and my family. We all loved it and were literally licking our fingers. Everything had a little bit of an extra kick to the taste not the typical bland tasting food you usually get in many places. We had: pasta, veal, meatballs, lasagna, calzone, pizza, focaccia all with fresh made sauces etc etc. All AAA+ To top it off, the hospitality Sanda and her daughter showed me made me feel like I've always known them. It's a small place but the heart and soul they put into everything is in every bite and got my attention!

Sandra cooked an assortment of dishes for my wedding, the food was fresh and delicious, everyone was commenting on how good it was. I would recommend her to anyone looking to cater their event. She has so many options to choose from, even our vegetarian photographer was satisfied with the food and said the grilled veggies were some of the best he's had! Sandra was also helpful in determining the right amount of food for the number of people we planned to invite.

Heart-touching service and delicious food! We ordered from here for the first time for a birthday business lunch and when they heard our bread had been forgotten they went out of their way to deliver the bread and the most wonderful surprise gift of cookies and a birthday card. My 8 year old and I stumbled upon this AMAZING spot by accident. He wanted McDonald’s but I had to find something better. Generally speaking he’s a pretty picky eater but he crushed the pasta dish with sausage and their pizza was amongst the best I’ve had in a long long time. Outstanding on all counts for lovers of Italian food. Great service to finish things off. Highly recommended!

My family ordered from Sandra’s last night. We had the penne (extra Arabiata), cheese tortellini, gnocchi, eggplant parm, veggie pizza and focaccia all to share. Each dish was better than the next. One amazing thing was that the food was very light. No heavy aftertaste. Only problem was that I did not want to stop eating because of how delicious everything was. We used to be fairly loyal to another good Italian place on Yonge Street but Sandra’s is our new favourite by far. The prices are reasonable, and well worth it for the large selection and quality of food & flavour. All round, I highly recommend Sandra’s Italian Kitchen. Thank you Sandra!

Being vegetarian, we find lots of choices here. And wife lovessss the eggplant parmigiana that Sandra prepares. As they say, most important ingredient in Italian cooking is love. And that's exactly what you can sense and taste in Sandra's cooking. I have even spoken to her over phone once and was pleasantly surprised at how warm and nice she is. We ordered from here last weekend for my engagement party. The food was great and we got nothing but good feedback from all of our guests!
