If you are looking to try Persian food this is a place to go. the thing about it that I really like is its transparent kitchen which makes you feel comfortable about hygienic regulations, Specially during pandemic! their kababs are really good however their koobide ( attached picture can be a little better). I give it 4 star only because I had a bad experience ordering by phone before picking up. they mixed up my foods. oh by the way their kash e bademjan is also really good!

My husband and I went in to eat and ordered two platters. I ordered the platter number one and he ordered the platter number 6. We went home fine but overnight, the chills and discomfort we experienced were horrible. The next day we both were having issues with our stomachs and visiting the bathroom literally every half an hour. It was hell. My husband suspected some food poisoning from the food and I dismissed the idea. The next day was the same: diarrhea, chills, vomiting, and nausea. I had happened to bring some of my leftover platter home, which my brother decided to eat. The following day, he was also in pain, getting chills, nauseous, and visiting the bathroom often, which was evidence enough that my husband was right about the food poisoning. I don't know what they put into that platter but today is day 3 and although I am doing better, I still feel a bit nauseous and barely have energy at work. My brother is still quite sick!

Came with my family for dinner here at Yaas Grill. Very unorganized. We waited for our food for almost 45 minutes and when I went to find out why it was taking so long, I found out that they forgot my order. No one even apologized for making us wait so long. The cashier, cook , and the rest of the employees were just chit chatting and didn’t even say a simple sorry. And not-so- surprisingly when we got our food our bread was missing. Don’t eat at the 21st location

The amount of variety of Persian food is tremendous at this location. It is fresh, tasty and delicious. The prices are fair and the portions are adequately generous. The kababs here are so flavourful!!! and the customer service is amazing. as courtesy, i like to eat with people when everyone gets their meal, i think the woman who cleans up the dishes realized that because my food was on the table getting cold while my friend waited for her order. the woman asks us if we have our full order, we said no and she instantly went to the kitchen grabbed a salad and gave it to us as courtesy for waiting. no long after she brought out my friends chicken kababs. i am sad that there wasnt more of us otherwise there were so many other things i wanted to try i will go again.

Letter to manager: one of the staff is very impolite, he was cashiering on Sunday afternoon. I ordered and he looked tired and not wanting to take orders, always answered sarcastically. Your lamb saffron kebab was sold out and you don't even carry the traditional Persian white sauce. Other than that the food was decent.

I was a costumer for 4 years but everything changed, food quality, costumer service, waiting time nothing tastes good anymore i work close and i used to order almost everyday and i even gave them a 5 star review before but i give them 1 now. owner needs to really step it up, whenever i used to go i would see him but haven't seen him in a while. YAS is favorate place for me and many Iranian and persian foods lover for dining. The quality is acceptable and price too. Staff are friendly but some not very professional. There is a 10 to 20 minutes waiting time on weekends or holidays lunch time to find a table. Also parking spot is hard to find close to this restaurant but is free like many area in northshore. I believe table service need to be improved here.

Delicious stews, huge portions, clean and friendly. Cafeteria / counter order style so no vaccine passport needed. This place is vegan, halal friendly. Stews got amazing herbs and flavors and not spicy at all. You may have left overs enough for another meal. The fava bean rice and sweet dates/lentil rice are delicious. Highly recommended!

I'm persian, this place is legit! Yummy kababs, and better than most restaurants for their 'khoresht' dishes, even the ones with a much higher price tag. More of a fast food vibe when eating here and not much in the way of ambiance or service if that's super important to you. But if you're looking for delicious authentic tasting Iranian food, give this place a try!

Do not go to this restaurant. I made an order for $68.19 only to find out they charged me $98.19 extra 30 dollars. I only noticed this becuase my visa app notifies me after ever purches I make. They refunded me the extra 30 they charged with no reasoning as to why this happened then we had to wait 1 hour for the food, only to find out they made half are order. I had to go then ask for refund on the other 2 meals they never gave us, luckily they gave full refund on the 2 meals they never gave us (after 1 hour 20 mins of waiting). In closing avoid at all cost

Yummy Persian food, fast service, and lots of variety... About $10-12 per dish... Big portions. I always stop in when in the neighbourhood. This 2nd larger location was opened just 4 blocks North because the first location was way too busy. I recommend the "Herbed Stew with rice" (which is an herb lime beef stew called Gomeh Sabzi), add a grilled tomato for $0.50, and ask for Tahdig, crunchy rice bits from the bottom of the rice pot (pronounced: Tah-deek) it's a free add on.

The last time I ate this delicious dizi was in Isfahan, Iran. I do not have much experience in choosing oriental foods, but Dizi's taste is always special and distinctive for me. What I experienced at Yaas Grill Restaurant 2057 was very close to the dizzis of Isfahan and I was amazed by its similarity and quality. If you choose dizzi at Yaas Grill Restaurant, I recommend you to use it with the special pickle that is served to understand its real taste and pleasure.

The food is really good but the service is disastrous! Slow, not welcoming, and the worst part, while I was waiting for my food to be ready, the lady who was preparing the food to go, had the containers lined up on a table, and there was this guy, with his hand under his chin leaning over the table talking and his mouth was right above the food in container maybe only 20cm away directly on top of the food!!! It was so disgusting and felt like his saliva was scattering all over the food that I had to ask them to change my container, which the request wasn’t responded in a friendly way.

My wife works nearby and decided to grab a quick lunch before she starts working. It was nice sunny day so we decided to stay in their outdoor dine in patio. Placing our order was quick. The order taker seems like she does not do small talks with customers which was fine, it was just a straight up order taking. We ordered the Beef and Chicken Kebab. I think that the price can be cheaper compared to other Persian Cuisine Restaurants but it was not crazy expensive. While waiting for our food, we enjoyed their nice outdoor patio set up. There is something with the sound of the fountain that is really relaxing and soothing on a hot sunny day. Food took about 25 minutes to be prepared. If you dine in, they give you a number that you can bring to your table, and then the server will come to your table with your order. The server was very friendly. Food presentation is nice. The serving, I noticed from all other Persian restaurants, is always full and jam-packed. It is freshly made all the time. The chicken and beef was grilled right including the tomato. Overall, the food tasted good and the whole experience was pleasant. We will most likely come back here for more.

One of the terrible experiences that I've had. we were 5 people and we ordered different dishes, all of them were really bad ... our kebabs and kookoo sabzi were raw, without spices, and our rice dishes were bland. Go there if you want to waste your money. Highely not recommended ????

We were there on Halloween Place was absolutely packed out but we were very quickly seated . The order came within minutes and it was fabulous food. Lots of it , tasty as can be and great value. The staff are just beautiful and friendly and you do feel like you've been invited to someone's house for dinner. Only two niggling problems that I had was that, one, there were screeching kids letting loose so loud that it hurt your ears... and the parents didn't lift a finger to stop them. And two, Yaas, you gotta do something about the flies in the place, they were flying all over the place , and landing on the food . I know you want to create a middle Eastern atmosphere and it's lovely, but I could do without having to shoo flies away while I am eating. Otherwise it's just the best place to eat and I've been there about 5 or 6 times now.

We love the food here at Yaas. We go on the weekends after a hike and sit outside or in a protected area inside. The food is delicious. Last time I had the chicken in a sauce with a massive piece of bread - I'm sorry I don't remember the names of anything but it was fantastic and the bread was so fresh. The young lady that waits our table each time provides excellent service. Recommend.

Big portions of good fresh food for a great price. The people behind the counter were extremely friendly and accommodating and the food was very tasty. We got the jujeh kabab and vaziri platters as well as the eggplant dip (kashk badamjan) and everything was very well made. We were pleasantly surprised to see such massive portions, esp. for the dip because in other persian restaurants you get half the amount for double the cost. A+

After readin the reviews, we asked our Vaziri dish to be well done.That was great. Service not good. No glass was provided for our drinks, they never came to table to see if we needed something( and we needed ) and when we ordered 2 more dishes of Lamb shanks to take out, as we were leaving, we checked and it was only one in the bag. Thanks God we were still there. Imagine, driving all the way back home to Langley and having only one dish.

Great food served here, the decor has gotten better. Food is always delicious and fresh. The wait time is usually 5 - 15 minutes long depending on the food you order. Tables can be hard to find since it is usually really busy especially during weekends. Prices are fair, a 5 person family might spend $45 - $70 depending on food ordered.

This place was delicious! Simple but nicely-designed Persian restaurant where you go up and order from a counter and they bring the food to your table. I was super impressed with the overall quality of the food, especially considering the price. The beef kebab had such a great flavour, as did the lamb shank. The staff here were very quick and friendly, as well. This is definitely somewhere I plan on returning to when I'm in the area.

One of the most affordable and delicious places to have Persian food. Portions are huge, there is always food left for the next day. Try their mixed herbs stew! I also get free tandoori bread coupon when I shop at Safeway (it's on the other side of receipt).

I ordered a Lamb Suffron Kebab (grounded lamb meat) and my wife had a Salmon Kebab, both dishes tasted yummy, 味道不錯though it was a lot of meat for me for lunch. Service was good. We ordered from the counter and the food was delivered to our table. Also noticed the newer furniture: red tables and plastic barriers for separation. The only thing missing from this restaurant is beers and wine.

This Kabāb-e Barg was very tasty and well cooked. The special yogurt next to it made it even tastier. Its rice had the aroma of real saffron. In general, I can say that everything was fine.

The food has declined, 1 star is too many. Was served a molded tomatoe in one dish, on another hair was found, and the lamb shank stew is no longer made in the traditional way where it is tomatoe based but rather a new recipe made with onion soup??? Social distance protocols are not in place either, although there are dividers in place, the food line up has individuals back to back from one another like pre-pandemic and the restaurant is packed to full capacity.

The food was amazing, and would definitely recommend any of the kebab platters. I would like to note however that the wait time was over an hour, though that it is acceptable considering how amazing the food was, and the time we went. Nonetheless, would love it if the wait-time was shorter!

Tasty and fresh, huge portions and fast service! The kebab size is big enough for 2 meals, at least for me. My Persian friend and his family can vouche that this is the best Persian food in Vancouver, so I have no doubts Im eating the best the city has to offer. Only small gripe is they did not ask us if we needed takeout utensils because we planned on eating our food in the park, we had to stop at a white spot for said cutlery lol.

UPDATE: Went for dine in today with a coworker and I’m still as impressed as when I did take out! But now I know about SUMAC. Have bought and consumed couple packages since I last visited. So thank you Yaas for opening my eyes and palate. My coworker was impressed as well and would love to go back again soon! I feel good every time I’m here, it’s like home. Pretty good stuff. Their koobideh has lots of flavour unlike other places. Went in at peak dinner time and still got my takeout within a reasonable time. Pricing is good as well. Place is clean, food is fresh and tasty. Can’t go wrong with that. Their powder flavour packet; whatever it is, is so good.

Fast, take out kinda place with a few seats. You don’t come here for service or comfortable seating. The food is great! Saffron Kebob highly recommended. I substitute the plain rice for the dill and flava bean rice which is very flavorful. The Persian noodle soup is a must. The bread is also great. This place is worth the drive!

Great food at a decent price, I found the service to be fast and efficient despite having a high amount of traffic in the restaurant at the time. People were coming into sit down at tables that had not yet been cleared of the previous diners food stuffs/plates and staff was quick to follow up and clean while maintaining a consistent output from the kitchen. The spices were wonderful and everything tasted fresh. Great place, I highly recommend visiting here! I had the lamb shank with dill rice and it was wonderful!

Yeast Grill is a semi self service restaurant. You go to cashier, select your food, pay ,and the server brings your food to the table. It is relatively fast service, between 5 to 10 minutes. The menu is Persian and it is delicious.

To my knowledge they are one of the few restaurants who baked their bread fresh on each order. It is something that both intrigued and impressed me. The girl who served our food, came twice to our table to ask us if we need any thing else. Food was so fresh and delicious I never had like this Halal food in Greater Vancouver Area. Always great quality dishes and generous portions. Flavours are delicious and atmosphere is always positive. Staff is friendly and attentive. I’ve had their Dizi dish and it’s scrumptious!! Poor customer service. No paper menu. Dysfunctional screen menu. But barely any help from them in helping us understand/know the menu. Served the food but no cutlery. Ordered tandoori chicken. The gravy had too much lemon in it but it tasted okay once I mixed some siracha in there. Also ordered meatball but did not like the taste at all. Didn't taste like beef but more like flour.
