Pleasant and clean interior. A little more upscale when comparing to alternatives. I think sandwiches are a bit overpriced, sparse on contents and bare on a plate. Wouldn’t take much to add a pickle slice, coleslaw or even a small handful of potato chips to make the presentation.

Had a horrible experience with Williams. Walked in to get a salad because I heard they have good ones. Ordered the large Caesar salad with no croutons that came to 11.17 after tip. Which ended up being extremely small, filled with croutons, and wilted salad going bad. Also found three salad ends in my salad! I could have went to Foodland and for 5 dollars gotten a way better salad. Not impressed.

Used to be a regular here and loved it, sad to say the service is now incredibly slow, and my entire bagel was made wrong twice. Staff is all new and wasn't the most friendly about it when I tried to get it remade. I'm hoping this was just an off day, because I loved this place.

Despite being expensive, I've come to Williams a lot because of lots of study space, outlets and whenever I'm in desperate need of caffeine. This place is open late, which is a huge plus for students. The restaurant is always crowded, so don't expect superior service because the workers are in a highly fast-paced environment. The food here is healthier than most of the plaza, simple and basic and something you could make at home. I give this 3-stars because I've had tons of lattes, and their drinks aren't that special compared to what I've had. Good for socializing/studying but not for drinks.

Healthy, delicious choices. I have always been a big fan for egg salad sandwich and was a regular routine at Tim Hortons while I was in Michigan . Since Tim Horton stopped the sandwich I have been looking for cafes that would offer the egg salad option; however, couldn't find one . Finally today on my last day of visit to Niagara falls, I found Williams cafe and my favorite sandwich after 7 years!...made my day!

From what I have noticed there is.a big rotation point on the staff not many people seem to stay there long. For fresh being in the title nothing but the waffles seem to be fresh. The sandwiches are made in the microwave which makes them soggy. Over all for the price of the food it was not worth it

Stopped to grab a gift card for a friend and got a dark hot chocolate in size medium at the drive thru. . I was actually surprised by the price of 4.60 plus tax for the hot chocolate. However I had not checked the price or enquired, so my own fault. So I figured it would have a nice dark chocolate flavour but found it barely had any chocolate flavour, it was very hot but very weak tasting

I really loved the chicken and pesto flatbread with goat cheese! Delicious! I was not impressed that I was there for an hour and a half with friends and placed 2 orders before an employee bothered to tell me about the loyalty card. When I asked if I could apply the other two orders I placed totaling almost $35, I was told that if the card is not shown at the moment of purchase I'm out of luck :-(

Horrific experience there, the staff seem to really dislike their jobs and everybody looks so stressed out all the time. I used to love coming here, but after seeing the employees and managers arguing with each other right as they were making my coffee, it had a profound impact on my experience there.. I made an account to write this review. This evening my girlfriend decided to treat the two of us to some cake following her evening class. We went to Williams and decided on what we wanted. I opted for the lemon meringue pie, but noticed one of the pieces available had the crust broken off with a piece missing, and was spilling out. She specifically (but politely) asked not to be served that piece, and received attitude from the server who took her order. We chose to ignore that, and patiently waited for our food to arrive at our table. When it did, the piece of lemon meringue pie was in fact the piece my girlfriend had specifically asked not to receive, only it was in significantly worse shape than it was when on display. As before, the crust was broken, a piece missing, only now there was a mysterious chunk of crust embedded in the meringue and lemon curd. On top of the that, the meringue had been allowed to completely slide off the lemon curd, and the lemon curd had pooled all around the crust. It was a presentation nightmare, so I asked for a new piece. The server (this time a different guy) accepted the piece back but looked a little baffled. About a minute later he walked up to me holding the same piece saying "they're all going to turn out like that, sorry." The first server came with him to add that "she did her best," in response to the girl who had cut the pie. Sorry, but when the piece of pie we paid for looks like a mess, and you specifically ignore our minor request to not be served the messy piece, give us attitude, then mess it up even more, and basically tell us tough luck, and have to gather a posse to do so, then you're completely out of line and completely disrespectful. We were very polite about this, yet we were treated with attitude and made to feel unwelcome. I'll never buy from this place again.

This place is very busy during the Fall and Winter semesters at UW and can be quite noisy. So, I wouldn't suggest it for a business meeting. Great selection of food and beverages. Order at the cash and food is delivered. Highly recommended during less busy times. Consider the patio on a nice day if the dining room is loud and crowded. Pro Tip: They get a rush on the hour when classes get out. To avoid long lines at the cash, avoid arriving at the top of the hour.

There was no one to greet us today at your restaurant, Sunday, November 7, 2021. As a group of 7 we decided to stay, anyway. We expected to have to show our double vaccination proofs and photo id's . We waited and no one ever appeared to take them. Tables were not cleared. There was a note posted that you are short of staff. That is no excuse for not checking covid vax proofs and Id's. You personally, should take on that responsibility. This works for me, if you can't find workers to do it for you. Furthermore none of your staff ever came by to check on us. Lastly there was no one at the door to wish us welI on the way out. We were there from 11 am till 12. I wonder how many others slipped through Willams today? I am writing to you as a courtesy rather than report you to the health department. Hopefully you will take corrective action. We all want to get through covid. This means abiding by the rules. Good menu selection, terrible espresso. Ordered a double espresso, tasted like they took the grounds from a single and ran them through a second time. Classic Breakfast was fine, scrambled eggs were rather bland and the bacon looked like it came out of a microwave. Nice of them to supply hot sauce on the tables.

Visited Williams today, 08/30/2020, Had previously had an ok experience there, So we went for breakfast, unfortunately the Girls on shift were not in the mood to be polite nor intrested in working with a good positive upbeat attitude, between walking off in the middle of taking our order and basically slamming/ throwing our food and drinks down it was terrible. Honestly girls if you don't want to work then you don't have to. Its ok to quit a job you don't like or want to do. But don't bring your poor attitudes to the rest of us who just want a nice place to go and have a nice time. Maybe drive thru is the best way to go when it comes to william's this way no attitudes to deal with and you still get to enjoy the good coffee and pastries.

very disappointing...for the price, quality and portion of the food it was not worth it. It had started snowing and I wanted to stop and pick up something for dinner and it was the closest place...it cost 8.25 for a very small Styrofoam cup of mac 'n cheese - maybe 1 cups worth was in there - it was supposed to come with garlic bread and when I got home it was not with the order. It was quiet in there and unless this was the first time the server in the kitchen was preparing the order - there was no excuse for missing that item. I can do without the bread but my point is the carelessness...I also ordered a very thin slice of their lemon cake which was rather expensive at 6.50 and did not taste that great...yes buyer beware but I don't understand all the "rave" reviews...will try not to go there again, unless out of necessity.

I've tried Williams numerous times. I don't think they have any good food to be honest. Sandwiches are regular things you can make yourself. Rice boxes aren't anything special. I've eaten the big breakfast here but I wish there was more variety in it. But didn't stop me from coming everyday during exams haha. The ice cappuccino takes like liquid garbage. Their coffee kinda has a similar taste but less intense. Their ice coffee also doesn't taste pleasant either. I've been disappointed at every turn. And what's with old men and old ladies occupying the 4 seaters at 7-8 am (when I came in for breakfast). Like where do you even come from bro? This is a student plaza. Find a single table to sit on, like foreal.

This used to be a large chain and it was everywhere so I was surprised to see this location. I am presuming that it was bought out. Anyways, the food is not as good as used to be and the service was poor. We ordered a few quiches and they were smaller than I remembered and the greens that came with it didn't look fresh. 1. wifi is none existent, hard to get connected, slow, and gets disconnected frequently ... this has been going on for 2 terms 2. they installed COVERS on all power outlets so ppl can't charge their phones/computers... seriously that's a bit of a dick move 3. was asked to move to a smaller table in the middle of my meal on a few occasions 4. left my computer on the table to take a call outside, after the 10 min call the owner asked me to gather my stuff and leave just because my coffee mug was empty... when I politely refused, he actually threatened to call the cops because that seat was for "paying customers only"... i was flabbergasted food is good but kind of pricey...

Pro: The baked goods are great and the coffee is good. The atmosphere is quiet and great for doing work. Con: Service is either really good, or terrible. There's one girl who works there who clearly has better places to be and doesn't bother hiding it. Accessing the wifi was such a hassle; I do not appreciate having to create an account to use your internet!

Poor customer service. Went through the drive through and ordered a chicken cesar wrap. I waited twenty minutes for it. I went home and opened it and saw there was no chicken in it, so I essentially waited twenty minutes for lettuce in a wrap. I drove back and explained what happened, and said I wanted a refund. They did issue me a refund, however did not offer to make me another wrap or apologize for there not being chicken in it. I used to frequent Williams from time to time, however I will no longer be bringing my business there.

As a customer who visits on a weekly basis, it is disappointing to see this establishment serve food like this. The serving sizes have significantly diminished over time, to the point where the already expensive prices become inexcusable. The gourmet mac and cheese comes in a container that is half full, and garlic bread that is suppose to come with it is never there yet is still charged for. The chicken caesar wrap is mainly composed of lettuce and has a single strip of chicken in it. You would expect to receive a proper serving that reflects the cost. Whether this is a management driven decision, or poor delivery from the staff member preparing the meals... please consider re-evaluating your standpoint on the matter as this is quite disappointing. EDIT: In response to your reply Peter, that was how the servings came.. nothing was eaten prior to taking the pictures.

Nice atmosphere, and the limited selection of food is quite good. However, this place is ridiculously expensive for what you get. A basic breakfast platter and drink can easily cost over $15. I sometimes wonder how they remain so popular with students.

We visited later in the morning. Most of the tables were vacant but unusable because they hadn't been cleared. We ordered 2 of the classic breakfast with one half waffle side with syrup. The menu said the meal came with bacon or sausage, so we asked if they were sausage patties or links. One of us said I think I'll have bacon then and we were told it only comes with bacon. When the food was served the toast was dry and no butter or jam was included. The waffle was served without the syrup which we had to go to the counter and get. The waffle was good, slightly crispy on the outside but still fluffy inside. The scrambled eggs (they only way they were offered) were bland but cooked properly and were probably the premixed variety that are poured from a milk type carton. The 2 strips of bacon were dripping with grease. The potatoes were good and well seasoned.

Williams is a great place to grab a quick healthy bite. There is plenty of space and options when it comes to drinks, salad, sandwiches, rice bowls, and dessert options. Their waffles are great in particular, though pretty fat. There is WiFi for those who want to work there. The picture here is their chicken rice bowl, which is delicious and my go to. Its a good portion as well.

The food was decent. When I approached the front counter I was not greeted. It felt like I was rushed to order. The girl taking my order didn’t say a word or seem like she wanted to be there. Although there was a different employee who came out from the kitchen and helped out and spoke to us. After leaving a tip for the girl and paying she didn’t say a word it just felt a bit off.

What happened to this place? I used to go here everyday but haven’t for the last year or so because of how bad the service has been. Then every once in a while when I do go back guaranteed they will mess up my order. Not to mention today when I brought my coffee back to cash because it was wrong I waited 10 minutes while the cashier made another customer a Latte or whatever and the other girls stood there talking in the front oblivious that I was even there. Finally I had to yell to get their attention as if I was completely invisible. No wonder the place was a ghost town even so close to lunch. Don’t waste your time on this place. Go anywhere else because they clearly don’t appreciate the business

I love it here. Fairly large place with high table seating, booths and reg chairs/tables. Super friendly staff. Table service is nice with a number holder for delivery. Food is fantastic! Seriously. Williams Cafe has very flavoury sandwiches and best fresh soup, my favourite is pepper soup. I have tried the turkey bacon sandwich, as well as the vegetables (spinach, egg plant, pepper, cucumber, feta and hummus), they are served with a small delicious salad. The white and dark hot chocolate are really good, the medium size is right to accompany any sandwich.

Not only was the girl who served me in a bad mood and chomping on her gum the whole time but she smelled awful. A lot like weed. On top of that i took a number and instead of the girl calling it when my order was ready. They just left it there letting it get cold until we got up to check on it. I specifically asked for one of my groups drinks in a to go container and when i complained that it wasnt they made a big stink about it.... I cant remember what the persons name was.... Jess. Or Jenifer or something like that. Usually i love williams. Thier italian soda is amazing and thier lattes are top notch. But my service was so bad that ill never be back. I doubt my friends will either.

It's not what it used to be. The restaurant has declined over the years in quality of product and decorum. It's always extremely noisy, people hog booths with their laptops and sit there for hours on end. At one point today it sounded as if someone started a lawnmower in there. The tables are often dirty. There are no waste bins to put your refuse in, you have to rely on the Williams staff. Our table had the leftovers from the previous client. Due to lack of seating (laptop people and aimlessly gazing people occupying tables of 4) we gave our booth to another couple of people, apologizing for the mess. Also, it took ten minutes for my $5+ dollar drink to come that was 80% ice. Used to be a great place, coffee is still good.

Service was so terrible. We ordered a bagel and toast, they couldn't tell us the ingredients for allergy purposes and it took 20 minutes to get. The excuse for the wait was that they had catering this morning. But in that time, my friend received their order of a chicken quesadilla and was able to eat their meal by the time we received the toast and bagel. Our lunch was over, so we spoke to a manager and had the bagel and toast order refunded and left with an empty stomach. It wasn't nearly as busy as it's been in the past. But this wasn't the first time we waited unnecessarily long. We won't be returning in the future.

My favourite cafe in the Niagara Region. I love getting a slice of pie and a coffee. Prices are naturally higher than places like Tim Hortons, but there's a huge selection of baked goods and other foods on offer that are great quality. I LOVE the booth seating. My only regret is that there aren't more Williams Fresh Cafes in the region!

I was not thrilled when I spent a few hours there with friends, and after ordering two or three things, was THEN told about the loyalty card :-( the $35 I had already spent meant nothing, as the purchases could not be added after the fact, even though I never left the store, and even though it had been within the hour!
