I booked a dinner for two at 5:15, but called that we were running late by 15 mins, they said no problem. When we arrived I realized it was a 4 course Prix-fix menu and that there was no way after being late that we would make our theatre reservation. The manager came over and said we could take our first and last courses to go. And they would make sure we make our 7pm curtain. And they did. Super accommodating, super great food, and super service. Thank you all for saving our night!!

I am struggling with giving even a single star as my experience at this establishment is beyond negative. I have travelled to many different places all over the world, and have experienced different levels of excellence when it comes to food and service and have always been able to find something positive in every single one of them. However, I cannot find a single good thing about Treadwell Cuisine. This place is not worth the time or money, if you are looking for a quality meal or ambience. Ranging from a table facing a garbage bin and being exposed to nasty odour as well as the loud banging noise from the kitchen during the entire stay, to really bad food, I don't know what else could have gone wrong. Both, my guest and I were disappointed but had no other options as it was already late to go elsewhere. I asked for a single course meal, to make the visit short, but the server indicated that that is not possible as supposedly they only serve 4-course meals on Sundays! What a scam! The food was terrible, and I was unable to eat any of the four servings from my selection. (My pasta plate was by far the worst I had ever tasted! Extremely salty and tasted like cheap, canned stew!!!) This is MOST DEFINITELY NOT a FIVE STAR dining restaurant! At $90 / person (drinks excluded), this takes the cake for a ripoff!!! I could not even hide how bad the food was as all my plates were returned full, but the server never offered any type of compensation. As it turned out, the owner was aware of the issues, but still decided to shamelessly take the money and do nothing about it.) I left this place hungry, disappointed and feeling humiliated! If you are looking for a quality meal, good service, pleasant atmosphere and good use of your money, do yourself a favour - go elsewhere!

Great sized portions, excellent somelier, great ideas for the dishes but the execution was lacking slightly. Very salty scallop dish which was overpowered by the raisins. Halibut was cooked to perfection but the sauce lacked flavour. Fillet of beef was under cooked with undercooked veg and cold potatoes. Staff tried to rectify this which was appreciated. The soup was a real highlight. In summary the food was good quality and good flavours but not quite what we were hoping for for the price.

My fiancè and I celebrated our engagement here last night. It was perfect! I had visited NOTL with my mom and sister two months earlier, and after an amazing dining and service experience I knew this is where I wanted to take her after I proposed. The food is presented beautifully and thought out. It's complex, memorable, and the menu was clearly curated carefully. The servers are all personable, professional, and accommodating. We felt special and appreciated each time. I'll be coming here every time I visit NOTL. Thank you to everyone for making our evening so perfect!

This was hands down the best restaurant I’ve been to. Everything was full of flavor and we had a wonderful waiter . Very pricey for dinner but it was well worth it. The patio is very nice but we chose to sit inside and enjoyed some beer wine and great food

Highly recommend this restaurant for the food, drinks, the service and overall experience! We were greeted by Mr. Treadwell as we entered and our table wasn’t quite ready. He made us comfortable and got us some Prosecco while we waited. Once we got in, the service was terrific. The food was delicious and the sommelier helped us in pairing wine with our food. Came here for the first time last week, thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It’s a very simple menu, with just the right amount of variety. Everything is farm to table, and you can tell the quality of all the ingredients. Loved the fish and chips, and the quiche tasted amazing. Charcuterie board was huge, very generous portions. Came here for Sunday brunch and enjoyed the service and food here! Our server went above and beyond to accommodate our group during COVID and the food was very fresh and tasty. Pricing is a bit on the higher end but I feel like it’s justified for this type of restaurant. Had a great time and would come back!

Had dinner here last night and enjoyed their fixed menu. It was a absolutely spectacular. All four courses. The scallops, muscles, beef and summer salad was a Michele caliber meal. Service was top notch the ambiance just right for a hot summer evening. A place worth visiting. This is my third time at Treadwell and they consistently provide an exceptional experience.

Amazing ambiance and prix fixe menu, four courses with four choices for each course. It is more expensive than restaurants I would normally frequent but it was well worth every penny. Each course is prepared with such care and the staff make you feel like family. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience here! Great service and delicious food, in particular the mussels were spectacular, I could NOT get enough of the cream. Our server even split the app into two bowls for us which was so thoughtful! The mains were delectable, especially the scallops which were thoroughly tender and well seasoned. Make sure to make a reservation as it is very popular!

Stumbled upon this absolute gem of a restaurant in Niagara-On-The-Lake. We were fortunate to be able to get reservations for dinner and this place was one of the best meals we had during our visit to NOTL. 4 course prix fixe with about 3-4 different choices for each course (including dessert) and there were no misses. The salmon crudo is a must-order, no negotiation. The chicken liver parfait is a good choice for pate fans. Both the scallops and pork belly were cooked to perfection with vegetable and sauce/purée pairings that were spot on. For the mains we ordered the agnolotti- perfectly cooked and stuffed with ricotta, and the halibut which was again, cooked to perfection with a beurre blanc sauce with sturgeon caviar- only criticism was it was a bit heavy on the leeks. The wine selection is IMPRESSIVE to say the least. We had to consult the sommelier who was exceptionally knowledgeable and recommended us a nice local Beamsville Bench Chardonnay. Friendly, exceptional service. I suspect we will come back to this restaurant frequently on future visits.

This is an amazing location. The ambience and decor is superb, the people are delightful, and the food is absolutely divine. When you can have a teenage girl order a lobster sandwich and have her talking about it for days afterwards, you know you've done an amazing job! I had the mushroom tagliatelle which was a masterpiece of flavour and aroma. I highly recommend eating here when visiting Niagara on the Lake.

The best high end dining experience ever! The service was phenomenal and the food was delicious! I had trouble deciding on the first course ans our server asked if he could choose for me, and he chose amazingly well! Everything was uniquely prepared, and flavourful. Fine dining experience with casual flare. This place is an absolute must in Niagara on the Lake. Food is great and service is impeccable it doesn't get better than this. I've been here a few times and always left impressed. You've got to book early since the place gets filled up fast but the host is quite accommodating. Looking forward to being back!

The service was exceptional and what is to be expected for this type of restaurant but some of the dishes I had in my 4 course meal had too much salt. Two in particular were the scallops (second course) and the kale (third course steak fillet). I didn't want to complain as the server was very responsive to the overly salted pasta my friend had and quickly swapped it out. My guess is that one of the chefs in the kitchen accidentally put too much salt for 3 of our plates and the head chef was too busy to catch this.

The food here is fabulous. I have been cooking professionally for over 15 years and I as my wife tells me it can make me rather picky. The chefs executed everything very well, the wine pairing were matched with thought and were very enjoyable and our server was just attentive enough to make everything flow and arrive on time, but not be overwhelming. Unfortunately my pictures are not the best as I was obviously focused on other things. Prices were reasonable considering the location and quantity of food.

The food is always phenomenal - super fresh and seasonal. We had the charcuterie board which had a great selection of cured meats. My wife had the scallops and pork belly. Scallops were cooked perfectly; pork belly very tender and flavourful. I had the "liver and onions" - such a creative twist on the otherwise traditional dish. Full of flavour and beautifully plated. We've had winemaker dinners here but this was our first regular meal and our lunch was fantastic. My wife and I shared the mussels with fennel pollen which was delicious, especially the rosemary bread. For the main my wife had the lobster club and I had the tomato braised Lamb Shank. Both were mouthwatering and tasteful. For dessert we had the lemon poppy seed cake and the chocolate marquise. Both were great and not too big. James has a huge selection of great wines. I was contemplating a Gamay or Pinot but based on James' recommendation we went with a Chardonnay from 2027 vineyards which made an excellent pairing for for both mains. Service by Courtney was excellent. Needless to say we'll be coming back here again and would highly recommend Treadwell to anyone

The restaurant decor is modern and plenty comfortable for patrons. We came for lunch and ordered the lobster club on bread fried in duck fat and the wild mushroom and short ribs gnocchi. The gnocchi was not as soft and light as it should be, but still good. The flavour was very prominent and well developed. The lobster club was super rich. Hard to eat the entire portion. It's best for sharing. The bacon is probably not needed. The bread is is soaked in duck fat...you can tell with every bite. We had a blueberry tart that was accompanied by honey pearls and aged cheddar. The cheddar really brought the flavours together. I would definitely order it again. The server was nice, but seemed a little inauthentic.

I had a sensational experience at Treadwell. My friends and I came into Niagara-On-The-Lake to visit some wineries and decided to stop by Treadwell for lunch. Well, it was a good thing we did! We had Yvonne as our server and she was the best. Super friendly, helpful and really took care of us. On top of that, the food was delicious. The atmosphere and service were awesome! The restaurant even offered us to bubble wine as anniversary present on the house. Although the appetizer was really good (pork belly was amazing, melts in your mouth), The main felt flat as the steak was a loop warm went served to table and the lobster roll felt unbalanced. Everything in the lobster roll are great but the integrity of the ingredients got lost while combined together. I deconstructed the sandwich and it was much better. The duck fat bread and bacon were too bold for the lobster salad in the roll.

Where do I even start? I've always wanted to try this place since I like the idea of local farm to table type of concept. On this occasion we were smart enough to get a reservation for Sunday brunch. The special for the day was the Sunday roast (short ribs with hoisin and creamy polenta). So glad I ordered that. We also ordered the lobster sandwich fried with duck fat (couldn't taste the latter and the sandwich was disappointingly cold not warm), eggs Benedict with pork belly and salad (would totally recommend) and a side of rosemary and sea salt fries with malt vinegar dipping (could do without as it was a tad too salty). I really enjoyed the short ribs and eggs Benny and would definitely come back for that. Entire meal cost ~$150 with tax and tip so this is definitely a special occasion restaurant.

An excellent restaurant with nice modern looks and an open kitchen (places by the bar are offering quite spectacular views into fast-paced operations). The food is amazing and high-end... the texture, the choice of ingredients, the freshness (from local suppliers), everything is perfect. We had a seafood course (lobster, fish, and lobster oil chowder) and a portion of braised ribs - both were delicious and memorable as a truly great dinner. The staff is very helpful, friendly and attentive... all in all, 5 or 6 stars out of 5!!! Highly recommended.
