I highly recommend the Haystack. My daughter and I ate on the patio at The Silo. (In late June 2020, they are serving food on the patio.) I ordered the Haystack and resisted the urge to modify the condiments, or the cheese, or something to make it especially my own, and just ordered it as stated. It was awesome! The beef was very flavorful and the crunchy bits were perfect. We will definitely stop back the next time we visit Niagara Falls.

I take my family here every fall before it closes for the season. I absolutely love the foot long hay stack and think about it all year. The drive from buffalo is short and filled with beautiful views. Seating is outdoors, but sometimes sectioned off with clear plastic if the weather is bad. If you haven't been here, make haste and get there now. The food at the Silo is peanut safe, but note there is an ice cream store just outside that is not safe.

This is a really cool burger place. The food was excellent. The restaurant is a old silo, after ordering your food in the Silo, you can eat your food on the perimeter deck which is on lower Niagara river. Beautiful scenery, great place to relax and eat. A must try. I would have given this a five star, but all the tables on the deck were dirty. Staff needs to do a better job at wiping off the tables, and also pay attention to full garbage cans.

Not only did we not care for the taste, but it was loaded with fat, gristle & a bone chip. Featured in Man v. Food The Silo Restaurant is one of a kind. I am happy to say that it lives up to the hype. The restaurant is within a historic coal silo and provides some nice scenic views of the Niagara River. Right across the river is Canada. If it's your first time at the restaurant you have to try The Original Haystack. It's so good!

We came to Niagara Falls and our last day we went to Silo. That place has to be visited. The view and nature are amazing!! We did not eat food there cuz we weren't in mood for Burgers but we ate an ice cream which were beating our expectations. We were expecting small two scoops of ice cream for $6 but.. But.. We got huge scoops, Litterally, HUGE. ???? It was fun and enjoy. Sadly we couldn't finish ???????? Definitely gonna come back again!

The view is great, but after eating lunch here I got food poisoning which led to a series of other health problems. There’s an infestation of flies, sanitary measures are not followed even with rubber gloves, and chicken is not kept at proper temperatures. The staff is nice, they deserve to be paid better for the rude customers they are forced to encounter. I grew up loving going to the silo, I hope they can get their practices under control.

A great place for a good meal with great views. The main attraction, the Haystack, is shredded steak on a hoagie bun with hashbrowns and cheese (mayo optional), and was featured on Man v. Food. WARNING: they do serve a footlong variation but I warn you, DO NOT GO IT ALONE. Unless, of course, you have one heck of an appetite or you've got nothing to do the next day. Good for a scenic stroll before or after dinner. The decomissioned caboose in the pic is actually an ice cream shack, although they close it in early September. Worth the trip while the weather's still nice and if you (like me) have a pooch you'd rather not leave behind.

Excellent views of the river directly above the public boat ramp and near the launch of the Jet Boat Tours. I had the haystack and was not disappointed, it was great and every bit a meal on its own. We still opted for the Silo Split which is a combination of French Fries and Onion Rings. My wife had the Silo Chicken Sandwich. Everything was great. They give you a pager to let you know that your food is ready to pick up. A good deal of seating inside almost 360° around the restaurant. There are a number of tables in the grass area adjacent to the restaurant.

I've been here a dozen of times before and the food was great, this trip today on the other hand was not the best, had a family day with a variety of different meals, from fish to burgers, I can tell you whole heartedly tell you that I could only eat half of my silo burger due to it being so overcooked and dried out, there was at least a half inch of char on it, looked like a hockey puck; it was awful along with my daughters and the other 2 burger we had. I understand being overwhelmed, I've been a cook/chef, but theres somethings you just don't serve to customers.

It's good, but it's way too expensive for what it is. We got a Haystack, a burger, and 2 milkshakes and it came to over $33. On top of overpaying for food that is nothing special, it wasn't exactly clean, and some of the condiments were out, so we couldn't even enjoy the burger the way it was ordered (asked for ketchup on the burger). The ice cream caboose is very good and a fair price.

We have been here twice. The view is great and if the weather is nice it is a good place to go. The food is mediocre. We have had burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, grilled chicken haystack and a black bean burger. Black bean burger was probably the best. The haystack was second best but not great. If they stepped up the food to match the view that would be great.

Staff was very knowledgeable about Celiac and gluten free accommodations. There is no gluten free menu so be sure to let staff know you’re gluten free and they’ll inform you on all of their options. They said their whole menu can be done gluten free except for the fries because of a shared frier. The ice cream caboose next to the restaurant was knowledgeable of gluten free and celiac as well. Overall great experience, I’ll definitely be eating here all summer! Also, my food was served with a paper container covering it so the staff and I knew it was safe from cross contamination and separate from other gluten foods.

I was in a group of 5, the line went fast, and delivery of our meals was speedy. Would love to know the spices they use to make the Haystack so delicious! Warning: the Haystack is so filling, there is no room for your fries. Some of our party, though, found a bit of space for delicious ice cream from the Caboose!

Ordered Italian sausage and onion rings and it was delicious. The Italian sausage has a little bite to it but was very good. My third bite bottom of bun split and sausage fell out in the floor, wasn’t very happy about that. Went to cashier to tell them and the boy said it happens and charged me almost $10 for another one, could have at least gave me a discount.

Bad hot dog, good Souvlaki Salad, overpriced. We stopped on Friday at 8/22/19 at noon. There was a decent but manageable line. The hot dog looked like it came out of a warmer but not real warm. I would think the hot dog should be hot off the grill considering the line but nooo.... Ridiculous price @ $10.00. The wife got a Souvlaki salad. Nicely prepared and an ample size with chicken and Feta cheese and lots of black olives. Good Tzatziki sauce. The only negative is the Ken's Greek salad dressing in the packet. You can get a much better hot dog in Tonawanda at Mississippi Mudd's for about half the price on the hot dog.

Chicken Souvlaki was excellent. A great tasting Feta cheese has used. LOTS of Spinach. Prices very fair. On street parking was not a problem. Finding a table was painless. I will be back!

Buffalo Burger almost $12, lunch meat is thicker. My wife had a foot long hot dog that was not cook Lightly Brown and cold in the Middle. Granted they were busy. And won't miss my business. Over all expensive poor service And uncooked food. Beautiful location!????

Food and view are GREAT. The Haystack and Footlong version of it are phenominal. If you go to The silo and dont get a haystack, you are missing out. Chicken fingers are good and so is everything else. Plus the view great as well.
