Small store with oversized inventory. Everything is clustered, hard to find. They cannot handle more than 2 people at the cold cuts counter. Basically if you just wait for your turn silently, you will wait forever. No real line organizing. Maybe on a week day, not on weekends shipping.

The customer service at this place is terrible!Every now and then I come by to buy some of the specialty Polish grocery items when I get the craving. When I get to the register no hi’s or bye’s just some grumpy glares. It’s really offending. Even when I look through the aisles no assistance is given. East European Deli Grocery Store has deli meats, cheese, various types of pickles and marinated vegetables, herbal teas, preserves and more. Fresh baked breads and pastries, smoked fish, specialty chocolates and candy from Europe are just a few rare items you can find there. I am particularly pleased with their cakes and pastries, but their hot table and fresh baked bread are also awesome.

A variety of imported Polish and other European food. Fresh deli meats and sausages, some homemade. Fresh bread and some fresh pastries. Great hot lunch and pre-made foods for a reasonable price. However some staff super friendly and accommodating while others it's difficult to get a smile out of them. Al in all ...definitely worth the trip.

This was a large store with a lot of European products. I was just a little bit disappointed that they didn't seem to carry more Dutch products. In particular, I didn't see any salted black licorice. No one offered to help me during my visit.

It's a very niche and average store. Once we got some chocolate candies there for kids, and it turned out that there were worms in those candies. Of course we the them all into garbage right away, but that was a lesson for us to be extremely careful with this store. On a boat side, cakes and pastries have always been quite good and tasty.

Bad experience with cake, it was old and tasted like it's been sitting there for a month. NOT COMING BACK because staff were unwilling to solve the problem. Receipt states that refunds can be done within only 24 hours, I came back the next day and they refused to exchange it for something else or refund it. Zero customer service skills. There's so many other Easter European stores, I'll shop at Starsky instead and never coming to this place!

The croquette is PHENOMENAL!!! I hate to say it but they make food better than my own lovely polish mother in law!! Which I honestly figured no one could beat but damn Karpaty knows how to cook AUTHENTIC POLISH COMFORT FOOD!!! Prices for vegetables and other great foods are more than reasonable they should honestly charge more for their food because it's that Good! The reason I am giving a 1 star to the location at Hurontario, its because during a pandemic where everyone who is in a store must have a mask on. Half of the workers did not have their masks on properly or non at all. If you can't wear a mask you should have at least a plastic shield on. While I was waiting in line, the customer beside me decided to pull her mask to her chin, touch her face and continue to have a conversation with the serving lady. The sales lady did not even say, can you please put your mask back on. The woman who was sorting cheese, touched her nose where the mask was barely there, then touched the cheese. Yum. Even if there was no pandemic, you don't do that. Its absolutely disgusting. Then we wonder why the infection rate is going up. Right at the cashier they had a display of cut up bread with butter, and this is where the most action takes place. Wow, someone really thought this process through. I hope this changes in the store soon.

A small Eastern European grocery store offering a selection of imported goods (snacks, sweets, water and mineral water). I mostly go here to buy fresh yeast when baking bread. It's always nice and fresh and in supply. They also have a good selection of salami, hams and cheeses, as well as fresh pastries, bread (my favourite is corn pumpkin bread) and prepared foods (schnitzel, potato pancakes, cutlets). They also sell a selection of polish newspapers and home items such as mugs, medicine, books and other. It a tiny store, and it can get pretty busy.

I’m writing on behalf of my mom and her experiences... she’s come to this store a few times and it’s now been the 3rd time that she left less than impressed. One incident she bought a raw chicken and when I got home and unpacked it was smelly old chicken! She brought it back the next for a refund. I came once before 9pm (I even called ahead to ask if they are still open as this was during the pandemic and she knew many stores had shorter hours) when She asked the deli ladies for cut slices they rolled their eyes and complained that they already cleaned the machines and why would she come so late. She let the manager know and she basically defended her staff. Today she went in nobody was wearing their masks properly. Everyone had theirs below their chin. She told the lady serving that she was wearing her mask improperly and my mom got yelled at that they can’t be expected to wear masks all day! (Mind you, my mom is an essential service work that has worked throughout the entire pandemic and not only has to wear masks all day everyday, she has to wear a shield over her face and a gown. After my mom left she saw the manager run outside to see who she was? I’m not sure. Anyway, very unprofessional and I will not bereturning or recommending anybody to go here.

Excellent Delicatessen. The staff is very friendly and helpful to costumers. They have a good selection of Eastern European cold cuts and sausages,smoked meats and cheeses. Lots of pastries, variety of Polish and German chocolates and candies. A good selection of dried pastas not just the typical Italian varieties. Also saur cabbage, picked fish, pickels smoked fish. A variety of canned goods. Different breads and buns. Lots of puppy seed baked products.

I visit this store frequently, they have a great selection of European food products, I visit mostly for the fresh baked bread which they don't have a wide selection of, but from what do have, we love the buns which they bake frequently throughout the day, and I do get them still hot most of the times I go.

I love thier little deli section food is authentic european, tastes like my moms and its nice not having to cook it. Stocked to the ceiling with everything you could possibly want from that old European country you or your ancestors might have come from. Excellent selection of European Foods, cold cuts, boxed chocolates, store made cakes, condiments, and snacks. They are so well stocked that they even have Greek cheeses and ready to bake pastries such a spanakopita and tiropita, as well as imported Czech and Slovak mustard (the best kind... because it is so well-balanced that you don't even need ketchup with your sausages ... Czech and Slovak mustards are just perfectly sweet and sour). Prices are very fair and reasonable.

Small but well stocked store. Authentic European grocery with great selection of herbata, miod, czekolade and kanapka spreads. We find condiments never available in big box stores. Excellent smoked ryba, cold cuts and serem to choose from. Their in house bakery puts out dinner rolls with the crunchiest crust and centres like a cloud, and their confectionary makes the most delectable cakes. I treat myself to jelly or custard filled pączki every time I visit. They have catering service too!

First time visiting this place. Dangerous place... to my waist line, so many tempting packaged and baked sweets!!! Purchased a chicken breast and two legs already cooked with a side of roast potatoes, and fruit gelatin cake.. So good!!! Only thing I didn't like was the young female cashier who was rude and lacked social skills (throwing the debit machine down on the counter and not understanding my request for an itemized receipt), and just seemed like I was bothering her work day. Aside from that I would still go back if in the area. Rest of the staff I dealt with were very nice and pleaant.

This store is located in a plaza . It has ample parking right in front of the door . The store is clean, the staff is very pleasant, helpful and courteous. I enjoy shopping at this store. Their products like free range eggs from Mennonites are fresh tastier than the mass produced. They offer a wide variety of delicious cold cuts, and hot food for a takeout. Their bakery bakes fresh bread daily including on Sunday. I recommend this store to my friends. My family is making their shopping at EURO MAX!

First time customer here. Awesome variety of products, the only reason I don't give more than 3 stars is because I didn't find the deli employee (blonde older lady) that served me very friendly. She was quite the opposite of friendly! Even my children were impressed with her attitude! There was no "hi", " can I help you?", "anything else?" NOTHING, just a cold " YES"?! If your employees are tired, frustrated, upset with something or someone, please tell them that it's not the customer's fault! Be nice people!

This Mississauga Hurontario St south of Dundas St (W/E) European grocery store is located in the middle of a very busy plaza. The store interior is very crowded and moderately lit. No shopping cart here because there's no room to maneuver one. Every inch of space is utilized for displaying something that I found myself constantly bumping into other customers. One lady chose not to wear a mask and store employees never said anything to her while she waiting at the deli counter. I just quickly walked away. I have never heard of most grocery brands found here but it's amazing what you can purchase in a can or jar. It was an education that there's a big world out there beyond North America. Will return another day to get some pastries since the Saturday line-up was too crazy for my liking. Staff seemed efficient processing customer requests from behind the deli and pastry counter. Keep your eyes alert because the parking lot is a beehive of activity with people scurrying about.

Went to this store recently - NONE of the employees wearing Masks or FaceShield disgraceful! Other Milton stores are following proper public health guidelines. Slicing and portioning foods that are eaten ‘as is’ (that is no washing or cooking). Lots of signs for customers to follow, but NONE of staff not following any precautions- shameful. Public health should send in an inspector!

Today in the morning I got a ham and after coming home it turned out that I was sold an old stink ham! I came back to the store with a complaint! A new supervisor named Cleo waved and because I had no bill, she did not want to give me money, she just threw this ham for cash register,as if I were to take it! Twice I purchased chicken drumsticks , when i got home and started to wash them to make soup for my child noticed they had a bad smell. decided to wash them and see if it was just chicken water but the smell was from the drumsticks itself. Will not go back to them, cant believe they sell old meat to people

Excellent variety of Polish and Ukrainian foods and desserts. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to help you with whatever you are looking for or need. The food tasted and reminds me of my Babcha(God rest her soul)in Oshawa when she worked at the church hall making meat on the stick and perogies!

It is my favourite grocery store/hot table deli or catering place, where they have the best sandwiches, schnitzels (pork and chicken), pierogies, vegetable side dishes etc. They also offer a big assortment of delicious cakes, which we recently tried by ordering CAKES TRAY. The best (2-bite pieces) of delightful pastry masterpieces. I just moved to Milton (3 km away from the Euromax) and we could not be happier to shop for our deli needs here.We like especially: all cheesecakes, tiramisu, hot buns, chicken burgers, vegetable salad, cheeses,cold cuts and bbq sausages. DELICIOUSO-O-O-O-!!!!!! By the way, you can order your birthday cake there by designing it yourself (including the image on the rice paper if you wish). Milk spoiled on opening but couldn't make it back to return. Cold cuts slimy 2 days after purchase. Sub par service as they regularly pass you off to other employees and rarely acknowledge you unless you're staring at them for several minutes. The donuts and sealed/canned products are good. Store is tiny, over packed with products and VERY uncomfortable to shop inside especially when there are more than 2 clients in the store. You get 2 stars because the prepared food is 95% of the time properly made and relatively fresh.

Just came back from EuroMax Foods, wonderful and friendly staff. Allowing mask exemptions without any issues. 9 people allowed in at a time (mask free). Store has everything and anything your house and tummy desire. Fresh baked breads, sweets to laundry products. A wonderful assortment of products from all over Europe. Please support them.

Nice place , somewhat clean !!! I'VE SEEN CLEANER !! Would not pass inspection. Staff not wearing Masks or Hair Nets in Deli !!! MOST people coming shopping were wearing face masks ! Then some Polish construction workers came in without a Mask were served and checked out , with no one telling them to HAVE to wear or put on their Mask !! NO ONE SAID ANYTHING TO THEM !! Very disturbing !! WE WILL NOT GO SHOPPING THERE AGAIN UNTIL THEY ENFORCE THE RULES !!! FOR EVERYONE !!!!! WILL CALL THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU !

This store is amazing, as soon as you enter the door you can smell the smoked and cured meats as well as the divine smells of their fresh pastry. The staff is friendly!! What a nice operation today in the midst of commercial stores and franchises where everything this is the same store to store, you will not be disappointed by the individuality of this business and the quality products they carry and make.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! I ordered a honey cake 2 days in advance for a birthday and went to pick it up and they told me that there is no cake because the cake was not delivered to them, even though when I called them they told me that ordering in advance is unnecessary because they always have that cake. They didn't even call me before I drove there to tell me that the cake won't be available. Not to mention their horrible customer service on the phone when I called asking about the size of the cake their response was "I don't know how to describe it."

Ordered food from the catering line to try out. The chicken with ham and cheese was good and the cheese cakes were delicious. The food has a homemade taste to it, it's not restaurant quality by any means but tasty enough using everyday available ingredients. Some of the dishes are hit and miss so I would recommend tasting before you buy in bulk
