The sausage chimney and cinnamon sugar chimney tastes absolutely amazing. The only downside is the price, like everything in the area, is greatly inflated due to being a tourist spot. Otherwise, great spot to grab a quick snack. Would recommend.

This place is always amazing and never disappoints! We had 1 small hicup with our order when they were just newly open but it was taken care of right away and our experience as always been top notxh. The food is so good. If you haven't been and tried the sausage it is a must!

This was a delightful find on a sunny January afternoon. Who knew chimney cakes were SO delicious! Spent well over 30 minutes enjoying the food, the ambiance and just chatting with the staff as they worked busily away. I highly recommend trying it out in the off season, 'cause then you'll get why people will wait for ages to get their fresh and warm delicacies during 'touristy' season. The picture shows a cinnamon sugar sweet Chimney Cake, missing is the savoury herbed one that included a Hungarian sausage ('cause it had already been devoured'). Enjoy!

Great and interesting choices for bread. Good options although perhaps a little bit expensive. Great for one visit. Wouldn't buy regularly though.

Absolutely delicious.. we had ham and swiss, Genoa and swiss and the veggie sandwich along with 2 desserts .. raspberry white chocolate and nutella walnut Everything was extremely fresh and so yummy. Thia was our first experience and we will definitely be back .. the ice cream sundaes look delicious!!

I originally was drawn to Budapest Bakeshop to the aromas outside the door. Now I have been to this amazing Bakeshop three times in the last three days due to the phenomenal food and impeccable customer service. I'm absolutely in love with their Chimney Cakes filled with a generous Hungarian sausage. The owners are remarkable individuals with smiling and kind faces. I look forward to my next visit.

Found this gem with my girlfriend this weekend at Niagara on the Lake. The food here is amazing! If you're looking for something quick to eat, snack on or a simple but tasty lunch visit this place. I ended up buying a the cheese and jalapeno chimney and also a vegetarian sandwich. Both were delicious and I highly recommend. You will love the flavours. The service is professional and quick, they accommodate your orders if you need anything specific. They also make sure to keep the shop safe during COVID times and have a limited number of people in the shop at one time which is great. If you're in the Niagara on the Lake area, I highly recommend this place!

Wow. AMAZING. My friend recommended this place to my boyfriend and I and wow this brought back our hope for the food here in Niagara (see my previous reviews). We finished our trip off with Budapest for lunch, I got the Aged Cheese Turkey Sandwich, made fresh right in front of me and my boyfriend got the Hungarian Sausage. They were so good. The dough was amazing, everything was fresh.

The Budapest Bakeshop is so amazing! I’ve never had chimney cakes before and was excited to try them. Believe me, they don’t disappoint! First of all the scent when you walk in is heavenly. I had the ham and cheese chimney cake sandwich for lunch - so delicious! Light and airy pastry unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Next time I’ll try the dessert chimney cake sundae. I hope to be back soon with my husband.

Surprisingly tasty and they have both sweet and savoury. For once, what's on the pictures look smaller than the actual thing. It's like a beavertail but wrapped in a conical shape that could be eaten like a wrap or slowly peeled into your mouth. The sweet ones about $6 with the savoury about $10. They have a small patio right outside to eat in. A hidden gem just off the main strip of NOTL.

Yum! Had a sandwich with crunchy, cheesy outside, and a Nutella sundae in a chimney cake. So delicious! Wish I had another right now. Just wish they had their own washroom as I went to use the public one across the street and it was soooooo dirty. Almost made me lose my appetite.

Just came back from the bakery with 2 of their sandwiches- OMG!!!!! This will not be the last time we order lunch from this place. Very fresh, flavours and presentation are just amazing. We are about to have their sweet chimney cakes as a dessert. Highly recommended if you are ever in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We will be back soon.

This little spot has very delicious Hungarian chimney cakes flavours ranging from savoury to sweet. You can see how they roll them, bake them and fill them as you enter. I chose a chimney cake Hungarian salami sandwich, very delicious and I was satisfied. I would recommend their mouth watering chimney cakes mm

It is something special, as a visitor from Europe and then to find this bakery and eat the wonderful baked goods. Very, very friendly staff. Everything went very quickly and tasted great. Those are the little moments on a journey that always stay in your head and are a wonderful memory.

A must visit if you're in the area. I've never had anything like it. We got the cheese/jalapeno and sugar breads - both were incredible. The bread is soft, crisp and fluffy all at the same time. The other flavours they had looked incredible too.

Writing this review as a fellow Hungarian and lover of Hungarian food! This place was exceptional. From the food, to the owners, to the decor, to the extreme cleanliness. The owners treat their customers like you are a part of the family, they are so warm and friendly and want to ensure they accommodate your every need/desire. Highly recommended by the whole family! Definitely take the time to check them out. My favourite was the cinnamon chimney cake with cheesecake icing - delicious .. but the savoury Gouda and salami chimney was a close second! I can’t wait to try their goulash!

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had! The savory chimney cones are the perfect combo with ham and salami. They bake them fresh everyday and have many different flavours. You can watch as they make them too. We are so happy we made a stop here.

Very hyped place but nothing extraordinary. The place was clean and you can see some rolls getting cooked beside when you stand in line to order. The food was very expensive $$$$ for something just made with flour and it won't fill your appetite, so consider this as a Snack place for $10-20 per person. Moreover just check your order before you leave as they missed my order. Bottom line, it's was not that great and I will not come again.

Definitely worth checking out if in Niagara on the lake strip. I personally love their sandwiches. Their desserts are pretty awesome too but I prefer the savory over the sweet chimney "cakes"/breads. Tried both the ham and Swiss and turkey sandwiches. Only thing I wish is that they were made to go. As they are in a chiller but are still delicious regardless. Friendly staff. Also have Hungarian products for sale as well.

These pastries are SO tasty. We tried the nutella/walnut, cheesecake/oreo, and 'everying bagel'/old cheddar - ALL tasted very good. They are pricey (over $21 for 3) but really enjoyed trying something new. Would recommend trying when you're in NOTL!

Great tasting product but they do not know how to provide a great customer experience. Store hours are merely a suggestion. Nothing is in stock. Service is slow. I do not recommend coming here as you will likely be disappointed by your visit.

Everything was so good!! First time to try and it's worth the drive going there Hungarian sausage/ Salami sandwich/ cinnamon, nutella and raspberry white chocolate chimney cakes!! Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

For the "Chimney cakes" price is too big for the size. In Hungary the size is more than double. In the picture I compare the dimension of the cakes with a 500 ml can.

This place is awesome! Amazing chimneystacks... We tried the aged cheddar, nutella hazelnut (although it seems like they're not they actually used were walnuts) the ham and cheese stuffed chimney stack and the sausage stuffed one and they were all amazing! The place was clean and staff were friendly. Will definitely be back next time we're in NOTL.

Wow! What a unique concept! Chimney cakes. What are they? Well, the best I can come to describing them is to say that they are hollow mini-croissants, but without the inside dough. They are light and simply delicious. The shop cuts some in half and makes delicious sandwiches with them. The crust is firm enough to hold them as a sandwich while you eat it. And the others are left whole and glazed or rolled in various savory, sweet ingredients, like cinnamon. So what did we buy? Well, both of course!! So if you are in NOTL, you must stop here for a light lunch. You won't go wrong. My Partner and I recently did and thoroughly enjoyed the food as well as the cheerful and friendly staff. Well done.
