I wouldn't recommend Greens and Beans for Celiac's, or those with dietary requirements. I went in for a sandwich (after reading that they carry gluten free bread on their menu.) Unfortunately they didn't have any gluten free bread, but offered to make my veggie sandwich as a lettuce wrap. I asked the person at the till if any of the soup was gluten free and they said yes, I just need to confirm which ones. I ordered the soup and lettuce wrap and my mom ordered her meal, and paid. I asked a few minutes later which soup would be gluten free. The owner told me that she would have to look it up in a book, and didn't have time for that. I was a bit stunned and took my lettuce wrap outside to eat. As I was eating the owner came outside and said I think this soup is gluten free. I declined as they didn't seem very certain, and didn't want to take the risk to my health. The interaction felt very dismissive. I understand it's an extra step to look into ingredients, but it's for my health. I'm not trying to be difficult, I have an autoimmune disease.

The ideal soup and sandwich place: delicious and great prices grandma would have loved. Sure wish my Gran was alive so we could go here and enjoy the beef dip together. They make their own roast beef and the bread is so fresh. Gran would say, “DELISH!” I take home an extra large soup for less than I’d pay in a grocery store. Friendly staff who move at lightning pace when things get busy. Good people. If you’re near Royal Colombian hospital, grab some comfort food to go.

They are busy busy busy because of the quality but nobody puts as much care into the preparation and execution of making me my perfect sandwich, and trust me I am picky haha. Recently moved to the neighborhood and stopped by Greens & Beans based on a friend's recommendation. There's nothing fancy about this place ... pretty standard diner vibes + a train (more on this later). The lady who runs the place is quirky and hilarious... you'll the quirks right away when you look at the menu board and see her $1,000,000 pizza sub. My girlfriend and I tried two sandwiches, the pizza sub (she gave me a break on the price) and Collin's concoction. They are not gourmet sandwiches by any means... very home style. However, they are absolutely delicious, cheap, and hefty! Back to the train... if you are dining in and you sit on the outer perimeter, there's a toy train that delivers your sandwiches from the food counter. Just another added bonus. I look forward to future visits!

A friend was raving about the delicious food they offer. So, i tried to give it a shot, but were not too impressed. Looks like a mom and pap sandwich shop (very nice and cosy), but the cooks have no concept of food safety. Observed the girl at the cash register handle food with bare hands and right away handle money and performed teller duties; then back to handling food. No thank you, i'll pass!

I ordered the Turkey Elaine with the Country Chicken Soup. Such a great sandwich place and definitely a hidden gem. Popular with office and hospital staff around the area AND for good reason! Unlike many other generic and franchised sandwich places, this one feels homey and the food is just amazing! Though it could get busy during lunch hours and the need for one more staff member (maybe a designated cashier) the food is fairly priced and tasted delicious! Just a friendly reminder to wash or sanitize your hands when handling cash/payments and switching over to handling food! Other than that I will be coming back for more! Thanks Green’s & Beans !!

I have been a New West (and New West Adjacent) resident for many, many years and can't believe I have not had the opportunity to try this little restaurant before now. I was greeted warmly when I entered even though Jaymes behind the counter was having a very interesting conversation with another customer about the different types of clam chowder in the world (he has strong, hilarious opinions). He gave me a few moments with the menu and was there when I was ready to order. I chose the Savanah wrap (chicken salad, avo, bacon, lettuce... yum!) and the wicked Thai soup. The wrap was awesome and even declared so by Jaymes when he proudly presented it saying, "Look at that wrap! It's amazing!" He had me laughing and smiling and believe me, I needed a moment to laugh and smile. The food was fresh and delicious even though it was late in the day (2:00 PM). But truly, thanks to Jaymes for that moment to laugh. It was so nice to see someone enjoying their job as service people are largely over worked and under staffed in this day and age. If he is, he didn't show it and was a little glimmer in a dark day. I will definitely be back and strongly recommend to others needing a good lunch at a reasonable price.

Such a cute place to have lunch at. They have a wide range of sandwiches to choose from and they're all super yummy. The staff are efficient and even when it's busy they will take your order while making other sandwiches and have it delivered to your table (via a toy train). The sandwiches are filling and great value for money. I believe they do delivery top but dining in is half the fun

LOVE this place. I miss going to it when I lived in the area. Very friendly staff and the train delivered sandwiches are so fun. They have so many varieties of sandwiches and wraps, there is sure to be something for even the pickiest eaters. Try to the 'wicked thai chicken soup', it's UNREAL.
