I used to love this location. Unfortunately today my meal was disappointing. We ordered a steak tostada, and chips. The steak was dry (over cooked) and the chips were not crunchy, I’d say it was the leftovers from the day before.

I assume the ownership has been changed. Chronic Fries used to be my favorite thing. Now the fries are store bought i believe and its definitely not worth the money anymore. Never going back.

Came in around 2pm, waiting in line >25mins, and when I was eating, I found a hair in my food. I mentioned it to the only person working (bless her for working so hard when there was such a massive line up) and she refunded my money. However, they didn't seem alarmed -- they didn't remove any products off the line to check for quality, etc.

Love this Chronic location! The staff are fun, upbeat and helpful. The food is consistently good and the restaurant clean. Favourite item used to be the fish tacos but now it's the Al Pastor for sure!

We have visited this place twice their veggie tacos are very tasty and veggie rice bowl were also very good. One thing is a must try is their churros. They are crisp and sweet is perfect. Must try for their churros.

Ordered a fish ???? taco. It was mediocre. Not worth $6!! You can go downtown and get better quality for $4! When I asked for a small portion of sauce, the guy acted like he doesn’t understand English!?!?

I like the potato tacos but the frequently don't put quac on despite the sign saying it's included. The food is pretty good! However I find that any time I'm here, they're really disorganized and mix up orders and forget about finishing them. The last time I went the staff openly argued and swore at each other lol!

The food is just perfect, i could feel every single flavor of the ingredients in the tacos, it was amazing. I would totally recommend this restaurant. It's very inexpensive and they have give you a discount if you are a student. Also the staff is extremely friendly =)

We come here for a quick bite. I usually get a burrito but opted for a chicken and beef salad. Salad was a mix of cabbage and lettuce, guacamole was extra. Food is tasty and the service is ok.

New customers, food was amazing but it would have been good if we were educated from staff on what comes on the chronic fries as we ordered 2 orders and basically paid 12.50$ for one which only had cheese on it and today was supposed to be a special where u received 1$ and staff didnt even know that. Overall experience we felt rushed by staff and overwhelmed not sure if we would return.

Went here yesterday for lunch. I do not live in the area but whenever I am around again, I will definitely be going here. Highly recommended taco/burrito and quesadilla eats!! If I could give this place negative stars I would in a heartbeat, by far the worst taco/Mexican restaurant I’ve ever ate at. Food was cold and even if it was hot it would have still tasted like absolute garbage. And the prices are absolutely ridiculous. Please do not go here you will regret it. Go to Taco Bell or taco time. Thank you so much

It's a pretty solid taco and barrio place. Has some veggie and gluten free options so I end up there often. It's a bit pricey for tacos but speed and convenience win again.

Wow... Never seen anyone be that conservative with the spoon... Literally. One serving of rice, meat, guacamole and salsa. Incredibly stingy with portions. I had three items ordered, two burritos and a vegetarian bowl. I could see the bottom of the take out container for the vegetarian bowl. Unbelievable. I've been going to chronic tacos since they've first opened in Vancouver near Broadway. My goodness, I know the server is a new young lady working there, but seriously, management needs teach them better. If this is the new norm, I'll just go to chipotle instead.

The food was disgusting. Meat wasn’t fresh. I got food poisoning. Called them and spoke to a manager she was very sympathetic. Got my name and phone number and said someone would call me back. NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE. This was our first time and never again. $30 down the toilet literally.

I asked for steak and instead of being told they didn’t have any, they just threw chicken in my burrito. The rice was at least 2 days old and the refried beans were runny. I understand times are tough, but this chicken was tougher. Customer service is awesome but not good enough for me to come back.

The team at Chronic Tacos upon entering greeted us kindly and asked us to sanitize eith provided sanitizer and come on up. Their new setup for COVID-19 really shows their dedication to customer safety and staff. We ordered a burrito, quesadillas and chips! Their guacamole is UNREAL paired with their chips hits on a level I needed during this pandemic. I as well enjoyed the burrito, it was loaded with flavor. Would recommend order on their site directly chronictacos.com ! Cant wait for our next pickup.

Had to wait over 20 min for them to make more Carne asada at 5:15 at night. Then when they put the fresh stuff out they dumped the old dried up meat into the new batch. Meant to call the manager about my experience but forgot.

They need to teach their staff respecting each other. The guy in turban was so rude with the lady working there. He served a customer in front of me who paid by cash and the guy did not even washed his hands and he just starting making food for the next customer .. disgusting!! I walked out without buying anything. Never coming back.

Got the veggie Burrito bowl. Was very stingy with the portions, the rice was like two scoops just enough to spread it through out the takeout bowl. Everything else was okay, decent portions.. I asked for more rice and she said “that’ll be extra” which I found confusing cuz they barely gave any rice (for a veggie bowl) . Anyways it’s okay, the food is like your typical burrito spot (mucho, burrito boys, etc) but the portions are really small in comparison.

One of the best customer service I've had in a while. There was a misunderstanding on my catered order (from me) and the staff still tried to make any changes to fulfill my needs. I took my order as is because it was MY misunderstanding (and the food is good) but I was very impressed with how they handled the situation. Thank you for displaying old school customer service. It matters.

Honestly I’ve loved coming to this location for the food, the good times, the memories. This locations staff may take their time and not many like that about it, I do. They take their time as they care about the craft they do. The food they make is artistic as hell! Hell the California Burrito they make at times with the al pastor meat should if I’m honest be in the Louvre! I love this place! Do I recommend it?! Absolutely! Go here!

The food here is very good and very filling, the staff have been very friendly every time I have gone. I would recommend skipping on the sour cream as it's just way too watery and doesn't really taste like sour cream. The rest of the food is great.

Horrible quality of food. I used to attend school in New West 2 years ago, and Chronic Taco was THE place to go for lunch because the food was amazing and fresh, and always tasted good. Today I went after 2 years and I don't know if management has changed or what but the portion of ingredients put into the tostada bowl was half the amount it used to be, the tostada bowl was chewy and inedible, 2 pieces of lettuce, almost no rice, the chicken was chewy and flavourless and the food was overall garbage. Did not eat any of it. This was very disappointing for someone who was obsessed with chronic taco, the metro town location was better.

Staff are always great! Food was ok. I'm not sure what happened..but my burrito was...meh at best. The steak was so dry i couldnt even get half way thru my burrito. Chalk it up to my choice of filling. Either way..I'd never turn down a chance to go to Cronic Taco.

I'm a regular customer. Great food, wish the staff were more professional. The fountain pop was completely out. The young girl behind the counter said all they have was the Mexican bottled pop. I'm not a fan of change. I said I'll just have water. She then proceeded to go to the fountain machine, point at it and say it doesn't work. She was just SUPER rude. I'll come back for the food, I don't plan on coming back for the service.

Food is great , but for a steak burrito & a water, which costs a shy of $19. Not worth your penny. Staff will try to maximize greens & minimize meat portions (barely had meat on my burrito) which is extremely noticeable. I would recommend to try it but way too over priced. I’ve been here about 4 times & yet their portions are minute compared to their competitors.

We dined in and had their burritos - carnitas and steak. They are delicious and have such great, fresh toppings. The only thing I would add is that the burrito that was made first was a bit cold by the time we sat down. It would solve the problem if they wrapped iltheir burritos in some tinfoil in addition to the regular wrapping to keep the heat in.

The smallest portions compared to its competitors. Over priced for what you are getting. And consistency is terrible, the guy I front of me got a massive burrito and the lady who made mine gave me what might as well been a taco portion in burrito form. They also don't seem to have a high standard for hygiene. The lady who was serving up my food was really sweaty. The other lady had her hair frizzled all over. They took forever to get to me.. probably over worked. Kinda gross.

WORST experience today!! I've been coming here since they've opened and I can't express how shocked at the level of non competance and rudeness. Head in there for some dinner. Someone must've emailed an order. 4 people behind me. One poor guy was trying to make all the orders and this one small larger girl was ignoring everyone. She took her time making 2 burritos (15 mins!!) stood there and timed her. Then comes to attempt to take over making my nachos. Half assed put on the ingredients and put them ON TOP of my tacos! Like really?!? If you can't handle a rush of people and continue to be rude you won't last long in the customer service industry.....if she's ever working there when I go in.....I refuse to order.....

Absolutely love coming here! Been regulars since we moved back to New West, amazing customer service, great food options, and amazing portion for price. Will come back always!! The staff at this store especially the evening peeps we always see are incredibly hard working and always super sweet. I've never seen a team crush a rush so effectively. Give em all a raise. This place is great for something big and filling but still pretty healthy (or not) depending on your tastes. Love it ❤

Hands down THE best Mexican fast food in the lower mainland. I make the 40 minute drive out to Chronic occasionally grinning ear to ear the entire drive because I'm so excited about the food. I feel so happy after eating a burrito from Chronic, it's like a drug. I must speak specifically about the last trip because it put me over the top. The girl serving up our food did an amazing job but what really blew me away was something so simple yet truly thoughtful. She indicated on the wrapped burrito what end to start on because of where the juices had ran towards. Brilliant! In all the burrito joints in my long Mexican food career, no one has ever done that. I'm salivating writing this. Good thing I bought a couple burritos. Thx guys!

Hit and miss. I get beef salads there. If you can get a certain lady making your dish, you're in for a treat. It seems some others can't get the ratios of ingredients right and are afraid of adding beef (though I order double beef.) I wonder if the pandemic is affecting their beef supply because today a lot of the "ground beef" in my salad was rubbery, inedible cartilage-like.

I would give this place 4 stars out of 5. The food is a healthier choice than other options around. It tastes good too. The only issue was that one of the workers there, the woman with accent. She had an attitude with all the customers that came in. Other than that which ruined our lunch. It is an amazing choice.

A great taco place, and best of all it is on my way to work!! Tacos are always made fresh and ingredients are prepared as you order. The fish and chicken tacos are amazing! Price is very reasonable. I would definitely return!

WTF! I don't even know where to start.. I'm still not even sure the person that served me worked there. She had no clue what she was doing. My burrito literally had more guacamole and beans than rice and enough pico to choke el chupacabra. My wife's burrito was enough fajita veggies to fill a sombrero, so much that it ended up being a barf bowl since the staff could not wrap it up. The other woman working had the manners of an american president. And the last straw was when we got home and sat down to eat it, we find a giant black hair in the taters. Finally, I couldn't even finish a third of my burrito because it was all guac and pico and tasted like vomit. I'm super bummed about this. I've been going to this location for about seven years and never had such bad food/service. Something has for sure changed for the worse here. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon!

Disappointed! I thought this place was great the first time I went. The second time it was okay, the third it was barely acceptable. This time it was horrible! I tossed half my burrito out. The rice was hard, the pork was tough and it was so dry. My partner had to pull her burrito open and add sauce to it two bites in. The service was dismal, the worker even asked if I would be willing to pay for "extra cheese" after he sprinkled it on. The burritos we received were so skinny I could wrap and touch my index finger to my thumb around it.

Spent $10 and got a jam packed carne asada taco, spanish rice, refried beans, chips, salsa, and a drink! Carne asada tasted very fresh! Guacamole on my taco was no extra charge too! Root beer didn’t taste watered down either. Definitely coming back! :)

As a 1st time visitor I was excited to try them out figuring they would make some delicious burritos, was I ever sorely mistaken... 1st off the grilled steak was flavorless, the cabbage was rock hard, the refried beans were watery and they slapped 2 huge scoops onto my tortilla which ended up making it wet and having everything fall through it. The service was mediocre at best as they were disconnected and I watched them just slap together their (I'm guessing) skip the dishes order. They didnt change gloves between swiping across their food coated iPad and making my burrito as well, I almost walked out. Another thing was their chips, totally stale from what I believe was sitting under the heat lamp for way too long... the only things I enjoyed from this place was their delicious pico de gallo, their fountain pop... and leaving there and never coming back. On a side note their bathrooms were dingy and dirty as well

Heard a lot about this place, so I had to check it out. Food was really good. Got the chronic fries, tots, churros and a burrito. Definitely one of the best churros I’ve had in a very long time. Reason why it lost a star for me because of the customer service. When I went there was no lines up, nobody in front of behind me. I took my time to place the order because there’s so many options. I placed the order and before my burrito was done being made I asked for a order of tator tots and the employee made a face. It wasn’t subtle at all. Before I paid I was asking questions about the app and if I could use it to redeem free churros and again the employee made a face as if he was irritated with me ordering. My order was dine in. Don’t know why he was making so many uncomfortable faces but anyways I paid and he didn’t let me swipe my phone for the points and at that point I thought to myself. Is it even worth it? He’ll probably make any face. Clearly not the best customer service, but the food was good.

I have not found a better Mexican take out restaurant in greater Vancouver. I am a fan of the fish burrito. Size of the portion is almost double any other franchise same price. Some like it hot????

I love this place normally. Staff were very kind and helpful. Felt clean and well covid maintained. The only issue was the rice was old to the extent of being hard and crunchy which ruined my husband's meal for him. I had a fish burrito with no rice so mine was excellent.

Great place to have a quick mexican bite. Service is amazing. Food is good. Although avoid sea food ad-ons ($2 extra), due to its small serving: 4 pcs of shrimps or tiny fish fillets. Especially if you're getting any bowl dishes.

This was one of my favourite spots in New West to get my burritos and nachos. They’ve changed their staff members and now the quality of service and food have significantly dropped. It’s no longer consistent. I went there 3 times ever since their staff changed (May-June) all three times there was something wrong with my take out order: flavour was lacking, ingredients missing/substantially reduced, way too much batter in my fried shrimp, the side of salsa had no flavour. I’m heart broken, what a shame. I do not plan to return to this location.

Love their tacos! That's all I usually get. The carne asada (Spidey beef) is absolutely delicious. They load up the taco so much you can barely get it closed to eat it. I have had taco catering here twice and been thoroughly pleased with it each time as have my guests.

My boyfriend and I have gone here quite a few times now and we love it! The food is great and the customer service is phenomenal. I've even ordered food here for my staff at work and Chronic Taco was more than accomadating with putting the order together (also the staff loved it!).
