My partner made reservations here for my 30th birthday, we looked at the menu ahead of time but when we arrived we were surprised to find that their dinner special was a tasting menu. Everything was so delicious and authentic and beautifully prepared. The price for a tasting menu was more than fair. Courses came out quickly and our server was awesome. It was a great experience and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Great atmosphere at Artusi restaurant. Must try the ‘Manzo della casa’ very tender beef tenderloin cook to perfection with herbs butter roasted potatoes and cherry tomatoes.. Pasta is homemade and cooked al dente with original sauces for every taste. Appetizers are to try one by one,very surprising,a taste of Italy in all of them. Dessert are very refreshing,lemon tiramisù was a nice surprise. I will come back!

Came in wanting the lasagne they had been advertising on Instagram but they were sold out. Tried the mushroom gnocchi and ragu and both were delicious. Had the Autunno salad to start which was tasty. The Frisella Del Giardino starter was not good - the toppings were kind of bland and the Crostini was stale and soggy. Not the level of service I expected - but that will hopefully come with time. Next time I’ll go straight for the pasta and wine.

I’ve been wanting to try this little gem for a while , well I can’t believe I waited this long . The food is absolutely fantastic and reminded me of the mother land, Italy . The homemade burrata , carpaccio was exceptional, our mains were amazing , we had a couple of pastas and the tenderloin. Don’t hesitate and make the trip !! Well done Chef Delbert ! I will be back

Great service, nice atmosphere, and tasty food. They have a variety of pastas and all reasonably priced. Each pasta we tried had a distinctive flavour. I did find the pastas to be a bit heavier, but it left us feeling full and happy. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

Real Italian is here. OMG the best fine dining. Best staff ever. I suggest their beef tenderloin, Manzo della Casa. Their prawns are to die for, wrapped in Applewood-smoked Bacon. Don't forget to ask for desserts and italian coffees. I give it 5 Star. Enjoy!

Nice little Italian restaurant in New West that just opened up. Friendly service and the pasta is incredible. Wait staff could be a little more attentive. This was a small issue with my experience as I had to flag the server down a couple of times for another drink, and for us to order our entries. Big issue was the back of the house where we had a table of 8 and three people got there food while the other five had to wait over 5mins for there's. I worked in the hospitality industry for over 13 years and a golden rule is everyone gets served at the same time at the table. A few adjustments and this place can be a gem in New West.

High quality food that you don't need to travel downtown for. The food is amazing! You can really tell they are thriving to give you an authentic Italian meal. The pasta is cooked al dente and the sauces are simple yet paired so well to each dish. Presentation is spot on and prices are more than reasonable. It's a great place for families or even just a romantic date night.

Gorgeous food. Delicious food. Adorable atmosphere. Great service. An unpretentious, wonderful, experience. Had the Valentine's Prix fixe at lunch. The choices were original and extremely interesting, and masterfully executed. Veal salad, mushroom gnocci, beet risotto, amaretto marscapone... All absolutely beautiful dishes. This is not a boring, standard, Italian restaurant. Well deserving of a visit.

What a wonderful dining experience! The food was excellent, the drinks were delicious and the service was heartfelt and genuine. You have to appreciate the love put into every detail of Artusi... From the music to the décor, down to the elegantly folded napkins, it is clear that thought was given to every part of this restaurant. When my family comes to visit, this is where I'll be taking them. :)

New West doesn't have the best food choices. It's greatly improving thanks to places like Artusi. It's been here for over a year. I wasn't really intrigued. Finally went. I'm so disappointed I didn't go a year ago. Hands down without a doubt my fav restaurant. Period. Italian to the core but a big variety. Trust me if the staff recommend someone go with it. My entire meal was chosen by Delbert ( not Italian name but true Italian to the core) my server. I ordered even a beer and he suggested I try this beer vs my choice. Trust him. He was 100% bang on. Drink. Appy. Meal. Epic. Make a reservation so you can sit inside and be catered to. Awesome job team Artusi. Awesome. Please do the octopus appy more often. Sooooo good.

What a little gem in new west! Small authentic Italian restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. The large prawn wrapped in bacon was so delicious. We got the carbonara pasta for the kids and it was so flavourful. The Ragu pasta was amazing. We got the steak dish too and everything was just great in flavours. Artusi is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is absolutely delicious. The ingredients are so fresh, and flavourful. Artusi is very accommodating, and are able to make my meals gluten free. The menu makes note of which items are gluten free, and vegetarian. The staff is very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions, and take them seriously. It's very rare to find a restaurant that I can have a selection of GF appetizers, mains, and even desert. The restaurant is warm and inviting. The staff are so friendly, and the customer service is fantastic. I can't believe how reasonable the prices are. I highly recommend checking out Artusi! I suggest making a reservation, as they are always busy. Enjoy!

If you want authentic Italian food, look no further. This. Is. It. Tucked away in downtown New Westminster, you got this gem of a restaurant. Freshly in house made pasta, hand made gelato, fresh ingredients that you can taste. The truffle gnocchi is my favorite but honestly every plate will be cleanly finished! Award winning pastas and don't forget their crazy delicious tenderloin entree. You cannot go wrong wrong anything you order here. The atmosphere is homey and intimate. Service was on point and friendly. A must try! Street parking available and limited tables so I would suggest to call ahead to book a table.

Love the atmosphere! Such an authentic place for a nice dinner date. The staff is wonderful, so are the drinks and the music. My appetizer was super delicious, I couldn't get enough; however, my gnocchi was only okay. I felt that the sauce was a little soupy and a tad bland. Will definitely come back and try something else on the menu.

Visited Artusi's with low expectations and they simply blew me away with a myriad of flavours that were new to me and prepared with care and an eye to simplicity while still focusing on the overall flavor. If you're specializing in Italian food, something that I can make myself at home, for the most part, you better being your best, and they do. Every dish was delicious DW tantalizing. Unique flavours and a great attention to detail. Favorites had to be the gnocchi and Andouille and the panacotta.Seafood is low on my taste pallet yet they actually had me living scallops and bacon wrapped shrimp, no easy feat. All in all, they delivered one of the best meals I've had in my life. Add to that, the service, style and passion that comes through in everything, it makes this place a great spot for a first date or a place to treat yourself to amazing food at reasonable prices.

We both had the beef, which was perfect, I do mean PERFECT! Nice little place, was a bit nervous as they are not on line for reservations, and when we arrived there were more staff then guests for our 930 seating. Little things need polishing, cocktails, when to remove dish's, and the bread was horrible. But to finish on a good note, the prawn starter was very nice.

We got takeout & drove to a park nearby so that we could eat it while it was still warm (cause it smelled so delicious)! And, was it ever worth it!!! We got the gnocchi tartufati + the pici al cinghiale. We gulped them down SO QUICKLY. Though the prices could be considered by some to be a little pricier for the portion size, it’s worth it for the food you receive. You could tell that their pasta was fresh pasta, and the sauce was QUALITY and so rich. We’re definitely coming back to try more of their dishes!!! (Pictures aren’t the best cause it was takeout, but we PROMISE it was yummy!)

We sat on the"Patio" The manager Jessica took excellent care with us, covidly compliant! Wine was suggested after consultation, by the glass & great. We both had this dish, they altered it to be vegetarian, ad passed the meat contents to the omnivore! We will be back, & do recommend it. The pricing is Fair for the quality of food. The flavour was very earthy with the mushrooms, the pasta was done just the way it should be. The plates came hot, with a warning of their temperature, as being outside did challenge the food to be good to the end It was. Go there it's so nice to have the caliber of food & people a walk away. Went for dinner the other night and I really liked how fresh and tasty my pasta was, I had the tagliatelle papalina but I would have liked to get more than just pasta and sauce for the price I paid, my plate came with very few bits of some sort of ham, maybe add more next time.

Authentic Italian food own by Italians, doesn't get anymore authentic than that! I highly recommend trying their pasta. I love the Primavera, and truffle gnocchi. Their gnocchi is the softest gnocchi I ever tasted! I asked the owner why it is so good and he told me because they uses mostly potato and not too much flour, meaning they don't skimp out on ingredients. I've been to this restaurants and frankly, I haven't have luck on their seasonal menu. Stick with the classic is the key????

We really wanted to love this Italian restaurant since It is located not far where we live and it’s branding and website suggested quality Italian cooking. Boy were we wrong. This is a case of lipstick on a pig. Unfortunately, the food was unacceptable even for a standard restaurant, not to mention one branded as quality dining. The appetizer (liver pate) came with very stale bread and the pate was plain and had nothing extraordinary about it. Later when we asked for more of the bread, this batch came fresh (so we know by comparison that the first batch was very stale). And two of the main past the dishes were just bland. The gnocchis in the GNOCCHI AI PORCINI dish (their most expensive dish at $22) were flavourless and overcooked (the sauce itself was good). We needed salt just to make it edible. And the “PICI AL RAGU' BIANCO” (a beef ragú) claimed to use semolina pasta but the pasta was overcooked (should be al dente) and tasted more like a standard pasta. The ingredients in this ragú were also misleading, claiming to use Gorgonzola yet there was no hint of Gorgonzola flavour in the sauce. At the end of our dining upon paying for the meal, I asked the waiter if the chef was sick, hoping he might say that they had a temporary cook who didn’t really know what he was doing? But he seemed confused by my rhetorical question, so I explained the issue, feeling bad all the while because I know it wasn’t his fault. He seemed to believe everything was in order and the food was fine. The bottom line is that the owners of Artusi did a excellent branding job and managed to get great google map reviews. But this branding and reviews do not align with the food quality. My suggestion as someone who loves good quality Italian food and has tried many good and bad places: if you’re going to brand high quality, then cook quality. Use good ingredients, don’t overcook pasta, season things properly, ensure things aren’t stale. I hope this review encourages the owners to revisit their recipients and ingredients. I want this place to succeed!! Good luck!

Great pasta place. Lots of flavours to their sauces and the pasta is all obviously house made. The house spritz was a tasty aperitif. Portions only looked small because the size of the plates used. We were all sufficiently full after sharing several dishes family-style. I’ll definitely be back again, and again.

We worked with Artusi to cater my sister's bachelorette party. Delbert ( the chef) was extremely accommodating for us, and for the many different diets of all of our guests. Everyone raved about the quality of delicious taste of the food. We especially loved the focaccia bread, the artusi caprese, and everyone could not get enough of the filetto di manzo tagliata! I highly recommend dining here or having Artusi cater your event for the most delicious and authentic Italian food!

Recently, a new Italian restaurant opened up in New Westminster called Artusi. Located on 6th Street (just steps away from Hon’s), I visited in mid-November for lunch. The interior of the restaurant feels fairly large with a big open space that showcases their tables adorned with white linen table cloths and stark white walls accented with green trim. I wound up ordering their Tagliatelle alla Papalina ($14) which is an egg noodle pasta with prosciutto crudo, free-range egg, cream, and 24-month aged Parmigiano cheese. This was a really good pasta dish with tender noodles and a nice creamy sauce. I especially liked the ample amounts of prosciutto crudo (dry-aged ham with a flavourful fat content). Despite devouring the entire dish, I’d say this was the perfect size for a lunch meal. I returned the following week to try some lighter fare and ordered the Onion Soup with Crostini Topped with Mozzarella. To be clear, this isn’t French onion soup (which isn’t surprising since this is an Italian restaurant). That being said, I did quite enjoy this soup and it was perfect for warming me up on a cold November day. There were plenty of tender onion pieces in the soup. I also had the Mortadella Focaccia ($12) with Provolone and Giardiniera (Italian relish) which wound up to be a bit carb heavy. The Italian relish contained chunky pickled veggies like cauliflower, beans, and peppers which made it a bit difficult to eat without falling out of the sandwich. In the new year, I returned and tried their lunch special… Gnocchi allo Scoglio ($22). This has definitely got to be one of the best gnocchi dishes that I’ve had. The tender gnocchi was sublime and the meaty prawns and creamy tomato sauce just amped everything up a notch. In late February, I returned during the Vanfoodster Lagana Challenge and tried their Passion of the Porcini ($18 during lunch). This is a really unique dish for me as I’m used to the lasagna that’s made with more of a tomato ragu. Instead, this dish relies on a creamy porcini mushroom sauce with nuts, rosemary, and cream. It really gives the dish an earthy aroma and the lasagna noodles were perfectly tender. The pasta dishes here are really top-notch and I hope to be able to try out more dishes in the future.

Took our friends from out of town here, although the sauces were good the portion sizes were very small. Like leave and go get food somewhere else after small. 50$ for two small plates of pasta after tax and tip. Ask for Luigi has larger portions, seating is half the size of Artusi’s space and both around the same price, but one is fine dining and the other is not. My husband and I were sharing so the photos were half of what we got, maybe 8 gnocchi total. They also had given the incorrect order to our friends, I get it accidents happen but the restaurant was not busy maybe half the seating was full if that. Servers standing around chatting while we were waiting to order.

The flavors were great, a tiny bit on the salty side, but it's probably a me problem not the restaurant. If I didn't have to fight for a table, I would come here a lot more often. Overall, an excellent neighborhood gem that we should all support!

I finally got to go to Artusi. I've been reading so much about how the food is amazing and they didn't disappoint. I absolutely loved the soft cheese (Burrata) with fresh cherry tomatoes etc. I loved the flavours of the pasta and the Panna cotta atinca desert was just a full on creamy, brilliant experience. I am so grateful I went!

Ordered on Uber eats. Overall it was very tasty, however I was disappointed to find my portion of gnocchi was really small. Nothing like the potions I see in photos on other reviews. It was very little gnocchi absolutely drowned in sauce. It did taste good but it was literally a pool of sauce with only a little bit of gnocchi. Definitely not worth the cost. The other portions where great, the Caprese was the most Burrata I’ve ever gotten from a restaurant at once which was awesome. The Norcina was also a healthy portion and tasted great. I feel like this place is probably really great, and I’d like to try it again maybe at the actual restaurant. I’d be worried to get such a small portion of gnocchi again though, maybe I was just unlucky.

I recently had dinner with some friends at Artusi. I'm really glad my friend suggested this restaurant. The restaurant has a cozy and intimate ambiance. I had the bruschetta and passata, gnocchi tartufati, and pistachio gelato. Everything tasted fresh, delicious, and flavourful. I especially enjoyed the espresso over the handmade pistachio gelato. The gelato is not overly sweet, allowing the pistachio flavour to come through. Lastly, service was excellent.

Great food. Great service. Real quality pasta. I had the seafood pasta and my wife had the mushroom gnocchi. Both were excellent. Also loved the lemon tiramisu for dessert with a decaf espresso.

From the friendly greeting at the front door to the warm decor, this place is great! The food is fresh and it sounds like it is prepared daily as some of the dishes were sold out. ???? The dishes we did order were very flavorful. The desserts were a nice touch to an excellent meal. We would gladly return, maybe a bit earlier to enjoy some of the dishes before they sell out! I ate 20 dollar pasta, but it is the same as 5 dollar one in Walmart. If you want to eat pasta, buy pasta and cheese at Walmart instead. If you really need to go here, please double check a hurb branch inside your pasta. When I found it in my pasta, they gave me the lecture about how the rosemary looks like instead of apology.

I was underwhelmed by my experience here. The pasta was delicious (wild boar and truffle gnocci) but the appetizers (salad) were just okay. Cocktails were well done, so was dessert. Overall service was edging on downright bad. I was expecting something more friendly from such a small restaurant but it seemed like everyone was so busy that they had no time to check on their guests. That, combined with the price point, means I would rather go somewhere else next time I want good pasta.

We ordered takeout and the lady who took the order explained all the vegetarian options available on the menu and the ones that they can customize for us, very patiently. She took the time to explain the items on the menu that were unfamiliar to me. I really appreciate that as most restaurants try to rush you when ordering takeout. Food was amazing, very tasty. The only reason I am not giving 5 star rating is because I felt the quantity of food could have been more for the price.

New restaurant in New Westminster, soft launch. Welcomed warmly and our host made wonderful recommendations. All the pasta dishes were delish, pasta was perfectly al dente. Primi courses were average, but the standout was the veal and tuna appetizer and the tenderloin. Prices are reasonable, setting was unpretentious and casual. Definitely make a reservation and worth visiting again!

My pasta was great! Perfect portion, I didn't feel stuffed or hungry. My partner had the gnocchi which was good too. The service was good, it was pretty busy on a Friday night but the food came quickly and water was refilled. Will definitely be back. Some feedback- hope the appetizer menu will be changed up soon with more variety, I didn't get any because I felt like most things had anchovies or nuts, and I'm not a salad person. The bread was tasty and soft but there wasn't enough olive oil dip for the two of us. Also could use a few more vegetarian options.

Unfortunate and unbeknownst to us, we came on a day when they were serving a huge group inside while we were sat outside. We were told that they were busy but there multiple free tables so we didn’t expect to have to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for food to arrive. We arrived at 8 pm, ordered around 8:10 and didn’t receive our food until around 9:25. Another table that arrived at the same time received their had paid and left by 9 while another table arrived at 9 and had their food by 9:30 The waitress was nice and apologetic for the wait due to the huge table inside but it was disappointing to see other small tables outside around us prioritized. I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait close to that long and usually restaurants will offer a free dessert, drink, or discount on the food but nothing was offered. Still left a tip as the onus for this isn’t on the waitress but it was disappointing for an $80 bill (w tip). We have had far better experiences with other italian restaurants in the lower mainland. Maybe one day, we will return for a different date night and it will go better. The pasta was good and presented well though so that’s… good! But overall, disappointing for the first proper dinner date we have done since the pandemic and the review is an unfortunate reflection of the experience we had.

Finally New Westminster got a real Italian restaurant! At artusi you’ll find something more elevated and family friendly. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering starters followed by the main course, specially designed by chef Delbert. We had prawns wrapped with bacon, literally melted in our mouths. My friend tried the vitel tonnes, great combination of flavors. They were exquisite. The main courses included a variety of handmade pastas and gnocchi. This was really thrilling. It was all followed by their special lemon tiramisú, panna cotta and peach with amaretto cookies, very interesting balance. All the cuisines were fresh and refreshing. The chef gave a home-made feeling using the best quality ingredients. The restaurant also offers various types of drinks, and a fine list of wines. Overall great experience!

We really enjoyed our experience at Artusi and will be back soon, awesome food at a fair price point! My only notes are the lights are way way way to bright, it totally ruins the ambiance. It smelled a little bit like cigarette smoke in the restaurant, not sure if a cook was smoking out back or a patron just stunk.

Cozy ambiance, friendly waitress. Pasta was amazing with creamy sauces (but not too heavy nor thick) and al dente. We had the Calamarta Profumo Di Mare and the Pasta Challenge special Tagitalle with braised Wild boar in a pine nut cream sauce. Dessert was amazing with a new kick to your traditional Tiramisu aka Tiramisu Limon. Waitress was even kind enough to end our evening off with a crisp and fruity peach Dolce.
