They've done so many and are great at sharing their experience -suggesting things and mentioning details we didn't think about. No doubt a fantastic resource! No complaints with regards to the food and service -in fact we have received compliments from the guests.

I am shocked and baffled by the lack of professionalism of this company, I expected problems on the day of my event after a month of odd communication mistakes but they had ONE person show up LATE to set up the entire catering event. She was supposed to be the bartender but my maid of honour for my engagement party was forced to staff the bar for over an hour because of this, and me and my guests had to do physical labour so the event would be set up only an hour late (literally an hour into the party with all of the guests there). The food was squished from being mishandled in the commotion. I sent a long email to Angella ( my coordinator) who replied Monday morning (today) saying they are charging me extra because it took their company two extra hours to pack up —- we were there helping again at the end by the way, sweating through our dresses. Update: manager took about 20% off the catering price (before taxes). He handled the situation fairly well considering and was very polite. It does seem to have been mostly the fault of a single employee who was in charge of organizing the event, the food quality still not great but that was the least of our problems. I appreciate the follow up!

My best friends engagement party this weekend was a complete mess. We were given one bartender for the event, who showed up by herself to set up the even for 70 people. The even was up 3 flights of stairs so the guests had to help her set the whole event up, in heels and dresses. The event was held at a museum and we needed tables that we PAID for and they were a couple hours late. Also I had to bartend for an hour while I’m the maid of honour so that set up could finish while the party had already started. The food wasn’t great. The event couldn’t have been successful after the poor management that took place. Very disappointed. And I’ve worked in the service industry for 10 years, as an event planner myself. This company is a disaster I’m sorry to say.

I’ve had catering service done before with Olive Orange and I’d ordinarily would have been the first person to recommend them. However, that was a couple of years back...and after such a negative experience, I am likely never to even think of them for catering. I was honestly shocked at the horrendous service my friend had to endure (at a flagrant cost no less!). The catered food was nothing to crow about, we had a mix of vegetarian and meat dishes (all cold dishes). The rice paper wraps were hard and unappetizing, and in general everything was underwhelming.

Absolutely Fantastic. My now husband and I set off over a year ago in search of a caterer who would fulfill our slightly unconventional desire for wedding food. We wanted to serve a variety of ethnic dishes and because of our love of food - the food had to be top notch. Olive Orange was not only one of the few caterers who entertained our ideas, but they were also willing to have food from an outside source brought in, if what they made didn't make the hunt - totally not an issue, their food is amazing. Our wedding saw delicious h'orderves (shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, etc) and the main course was a combination of three buffets - Italian (made to order pasta with sausage, shrimp, veggies, etc), Mexican (beef or chicken tacos with delicious salsas) and Indian (lamb madras, butter chicken, aloo gobi and naan). Service was top notch with just the right amount of staff and the a maitre'd who was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this great team and chef!!!

Highly recommended, I cannot express my gratitude enough!!! I reached out to many caterers regarding our wedding needs. Olive Orange was one of the few that asked us many questions first and got to know our needs/preferences (instead of just sending standard, boring, wedding menus). Food was really important to us and they delivered! Adam and his team prepared several different food stations for us to try at our tasting. Lucie responded prompted to all my (many) emails through the months. They were extremely accommodating and great to work with, they were also very helpful when I wanted to add items last minute. On the day of, the food was amazing, just as our tasting. The chef was very chatty and friendly and the guests enjoyed his humor. The bartender, Pascal, was fantastic and so fun! People loved the shots and hot drinks he prepared (Grog and Mulled Wine). Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding food they've ever had. We had some non-traditional food (spaetzle, schnitzel & flammkuchen) and it was great! Even a simple dessert of Rice Krispie squares were made perfectly!

They were fabulous - the tasting was lots of fun and so helpful, and their logistical support for coordinating rentals and setup the day of the wedding was invaluable. They took care of everything so we didn't have to think about it. And of course - the food was great!

They recently did my wedding and they were flawless, would absolutely recommend. Food was great, definitely a step above your average wedding fare of salmon with roasted potatoes. Their customer service was impeccable, from answering our dozens of emails within ours, to the actual day of the event where they did everything from setting up to packing up. Every one of their staff, from the owner down to the waitstaff were very cool, courteous, helpful. Don't believe the random burst of 1-star reviews, it's clearly just one bitter group of people out with some sort of personal vendetta. Would give 10/5 stars if I could to rebalance the rating.

I used Olive Orange for our recent spring fundraiser. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in designing our menu. The Southwestern Taco station and Poke Station were a HUGE hit. There is no way I could have done this without them. From the moment the arrived and until they left I didn't have a worry. The Maitre D and Chef basically anticipated everyone of my needs and concerns. They walked through our venue and showed me the best places to set up the stations and the bar. The staff were very professional, and the very well organized. At the end of the night they made sure the place was spotless. I cant say enough good things. They ROCK

Excellent service at Olive Orange! They catered our wedding and not only was the food delicious and aesthetically beautiful, they went above their catering duties. They let us store our drinks and extra dessert at their location, and brought and unloaded everything at the venue without a hassle. Our centrepieces had a lot of candles, and because we forgot to light them, without even having to ask, they lit them all before the guests arrived to their seats. Adam was exceptionally efficient and always put his customers' needs first. Our coordinator Lucie was always professional and quick to respond to all our e-mails, allowing us to feel at ease as soon as possible. The night of, all the staff was pleasant to work with, asking if I needed help with anything else. Our Maitre D, Hugo, was so kind, calm, and made everything run so smoothly. I would 100% recommend Olive Orange for any catering event.

Saturday, May 4 event – beautiful couple, extraordinary venue, completely unsatisfactory catering experience. As members of a large business organization, my husband and I have attended hundreds of catered events over the years, from small, intimate dinner parties to large conferences of 1000+ attendees, and never have I experienced anything like this catering fiasco. The caterer arrived at least an hour late, after some of the guests had already arrived, making them feel obligated to help the hosts set up tables, unwrap food trays and even tend bar throughout the evening. For a party of 70+ guests, the caterer sent only one server, who had to do everything, including carry food, dishes and glasses up 3 flights of stairs from her truck. I saw at least one fine dress ruined because that guest had to clear plates and glasses from crowded tables, and even scrape food scraps off dishes so they could more easily be stacked by the caterer at the end of the evening. I was appalled that, as the party was coming to a close, many of the guests had to help carry everything back down all those flights of stairs to the truck, in semi-formal attire, and many of them in their 60s (I was one of those), because it was just too much work for the one employee of Olive Orange. Now I understand that the caterer is attempting to charge this young couple extra for overtime – dear people at Olive Orange, surely you have mistaken the words "extra charge" for "REFUND", or at least "DEEP DISCOUNT" for poor services rendered.

I am one of the aunties that attended Samantha Walker engagement at the Redpath museum. Not only do I agree with the other comments, but I was one who helped unload the truck. I also scrapped food off the plates placing them in those plastic trays, emptying the glasses of wine beer and placing them in the glass racks, on top of carryjng bar stools upstairs 3 flights while wearing heels. My husband in his suit at the end of the night brought down all the stools for her to load in the truck. The worst is I just heard you want to charge my niece 2 extra hours, perhaps I should send you an invoice for what I did plus a cleaning bill for my husband suit. But the WORST Is seeing my beautiful niece in her beautiful lilac long dress and sandals in the truck unloading bar stools on her engagement event, that took the cake for me. Like really....

Incredibly disorganized and unprofessional service. Caterer was over an hour late for my engagement party and only one employee was available to set up, which left my guests unpacking their van and setting up the food. This should never be the case with any caterer. The company offered a nominal refund, but this did not make up for the hassle and embarrassment they caused.
