It's great. Very clean with a professional staff to help run the event. I've been to a couple reception halls in the Montreal area and this is definitely the nicest I've seen. Losses a star cause of the parking and out door smoking situation. At the end of the night you have to fight threw a cloud of cigarette smoke to get to your car parked a block away. With little children this isn't very pleasant.

Did a wedding here and saw staff take food that was placed in front of someone for 10 minutes and give it to another guest when they saw this guest wasn't going to eat it. Then on the same night another staff took a fork from from the 3 forks placed in a setting, from a guests place, in between 3rd and 4th course to bring to another guest who dropped theirs. The guest HAD touched and used it. Good thing I'm married because I would never deliberately come here again.

We went there for a wedding. Food was ok, nothing fancy. Service was a bit off and slow. The people working there are not very friendly. Propably tired of seeing the same thing happen over and over again.

We had the downstairs hall..there were a lot of chairs with broken seats. Some of our guests complained their chicken was not cooked ( pink in the middle ????) And their standard hors d’oeuvre was disgusting..i swear it’s like the frozen ones you find in grocery stores. If you rent their hall make sure you look into the things i mentioned. I would never rent at this reception hall.

What an amazing experience. The staff is super helpful, they answered all of our calls and they even answered emails on non working hours! Very professional. The service was impeccable, the food was absolutely delicious. The head waiter at our wedding constantly made sure we were ok and was always bringing us food to make sure we ate. Everyone kept telling us that we wouldn't get to eat on our wedding day, but these guys made sure we did. Not a single thing went wrong that night and it's all thanks to roma receptions. Thank you Mary, Tony, and the entire staff! You guys worked really hard to make the night special and did an outstanding job!

My wedding reception took place at Buffet Roma on July 23rd 2017. Mary La Rocca is who my now-husband and I dealt with. When we initially signed the contract, we were very excited because the price was very affordable and she made it seem like we didn’t have to worry about anything. Communications will be made and the reception will run smoothly when it comes to catering, open bar etc... i had asked her many times who should we communicate with for the catering. She had said that she would let us know but she never did and with all the million things we had to think about, we also did not follow-through with asking her again (because that is supposed to be her job right?!?!). She also did not mention that our caterers had to be present to set up the food on the tables. And most importantly, she did not let us know how much food we can bring. The day of the reception was a disaster. She calls me as I am getting ready to tell me that her staff cannot handle our food and asked me to call our caterer to come back and set up the food (you can imagine how stressed out I was on that day alone, and to have her call me and add more stress to my plate was really not cool). I told her that they simply need to put the food on the heating trays and serve them, it is as simple as that! But she tells me that her staff is not trained to heat up Sri Lankan/ Indian food and tells me that she might have to call in her chef and the cost for that would be 400$. I tried calling my caterer but they had another wedding to go to and could not come back. As a result, i was told the kitchen was a disaster. Her staff mixed up the food, threw food away and my family members and some bridesmaids had to step-in in order to serve the food. My guests were hungry and the food was served an hour later. Now for the open bar.... i instructed them to serve cocktails from 5-6pm but the bar tender was refusing to do so. There were no cocktails served that day. So as you can see by this review, i was very unsatisfied. I was meaning to write a review since a while now but couldn’t get myself to do it because it just brings back so many bad memories and that’s not what your wedding day should bring. I feel like if we had dealt with her partner (i think his name is Marco or Mike... something with an M), we would have had a better experience. Another friend of mine also mentioned to me that her partner was pleasurable to deal with and that her and her husband had a very bad experience with Mary. It just felt like she was after the money and didn’t care about how we felt and during the meetings, we felt like she just wanted to rush things and get out of of the room ASAP. So although Buffet Roma is very affordable, customer service was a 0 on 10. I unfortunately had to give 1 star because they don’t give us the option to give less. All that to say, just be careful with who you deal with when booking a hall at buffet roma and make sure that you have lots of questions and make sure that the answers provided are very clear and concise.

The halls are very elegant (no need to decorated the hall, they’re already beautifully decorated and they offer beautiful centrepieces), the food was great, all my guests loved the food (big portions), the service was excellent, they really are focus on the details and make everything easy, Mary was so helpful. The maître D and the staff on the wedding day are very professional and well organized. They made our special day memorable!

Awesome customer service with the owner Tony who is very kind, understanding and helpful. He responded to emails and calls quickly and was always open to helping us with the planning. We never felt as though he was stressed, which really made us feel comfortable especially during such a stressful time. The food was delicious, our guests were raving about it. My friend who is a vegetarian said she had the best salmon ever. The LED dancefloor in one of the halls is amazing and great to keep the party going. The timing to fix the pavement in the front fell during the week of our wedding. The stairs were finished, thankfully, but they didn't have time to plant bushes and flowers. This detail isn't enough to take a star off. Highly recommend this hall.
