You know that we don't usually stop to put tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Catering is included in the category of Bar.
Great atmosphere and service, unique food that is delicious with craft beer recommend.
Got the tuna poke bowl and it was fantastic! The cheesecake was also amazing, but we ate it so fast I couldn't snap a picture. Cozy and welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff in the heart of downtown Moncton. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
The fried chicken burger was pretty good. Loved the environment.
Great food and an amazing selection of craft beer. A must if you find yourself in Moncton.
Excellent Café located in downtown Moncton. Finding parking CAN be tricky but in my opinion it is so worth it. The staff are solid and the coffee (Pilot Coffee Roasters) is unreal. Potentially the best Café in Monkey town.
Fantastic, creative food! We went at 8 on a Wednesday night. The waitress was on it the whole time- very attentive and answered all of my questions about the menu. Our drinks and appetizer came promptly, followed by our food. If your children enjoy food, typically order off the real menu, and have adventurous palates, they will be happy here! Ours had the salade niçoise and the chicken and waffles. Everything was delicious, house made, and fresh, right now to the grenadine in our cocktails. You will be delighted!
We found the Tide&Boar by chance, as we visited Moncton to watch the tidal bore and had no time for a long dinner. Without a reservation, we got a well positioned table, a funny and quick waitress, quick but well prepared Umami pork bites and poutine with pulled boar. A delicious quick dish, which we really enjoyed and which gave us good energy to watch the bore later on. Tide&Boar - always worth a dinner
delicious food, great beer selection and nice outdoor eating area!
Great atmosphere and great food. Unfortunately, the beer is a tad pricey.
We were fortunate to have friends stumble across the Tide and Boar during a snowstorm in February 2015. The staff shovelled for hours to allow customers to drop in and were the only place open in town. We met Chris last year and were fortunate to find him there again this year during the Motorcycle Show weekend. Chris made our evening special, from the vinyl he played on the turntable to the suggestions of beers and wines to complement our food. From the staff of Motorcycle Mojo Magazine and Smart Off Road Riding Academy in Ontario, you made our two evenings we were able to eat at the Tide and Boar more than amazing. Thanks Chris the food was once again incredible.
Boar Poutine, surprisingly decent cocktails, and a nice micro-brew selection. Haven't been to Moncton once without stopping here.
Meh, it's okay if you're into the Moncton scene.
Wow! My mind (and belly) is blown away. My wife and I came here for a late Saturday breakfast. We both got the special of the day, a sausage breakfast sandwich on a biscuit, and it was to die for! The cappuccino was top notch, with a delicious espresso and perfectly steamed milk. We also tried the mimosa which was mixed perfectly. I’ll definitely be returning for whatever is cooking in this is awesome smelling meat smoker (pictured).
Stopped in to grab a late night bite. The Tuna Poke was a pleasant surprise on the menu and fabulous! The flatbread was also lovely!
Normally I absolutely love this place however when I went there last night I was extremely disappointed. An associate of mine suggested that I try something off of their smoker so I decided to try their new pulled pork. It came with cornbread barbecue sauce macaroni and cheese and a homemade apple coleslaw. The best part of that meal was the bun. The cornbread was cold and did not come with butter - honey or plain.. It also did not have much flavor. The cheese for the mac and cheese was extremely watery and bland. The barbeque sauce was thin and watery. The slaw was decent but when paired with the rest it just kind of got lost. Next time I'm going to stick with my regular dishes.
I love the atmosphere here! The food is DELICIOUS. Great beer selection.
Great craft beers and wine selection and a menu that never disappoints...lots of in house charcuterie.
Wonderful food and service. The burger is truly exceptional! I've been here many times, most recently with a bachelor party. They were very accommodating and seated us in their downstairs section which was roomy and comfortable, amenable to larger group reservations.
Always phenomenal food and drinks, hands down one of the best places in Moncton...and the Maritimes
The place is nice and all, but the menu is more of a snack thing, the only big meals would be burger, poutine or sandwiches. The flavor is good and the service is also great, but the lighting is very dark for my taste. Would like a little bit more light.
They have ruined chicken for me. I had the fried chicken sandwich and everything else will forever be subpar. The T&B salad was also absolutely delightful! Great ambiance, and just absurdly delicious food.
Great beer selection, great little patio with a view of the chef's using a smoker in an out door bbq pit area. I'd definitely go back, didn't eat here though.
This is a great spot to get together with friends or simply have something hearty to ear. The bomb pork bites where a highlight that was loved by everyone. The burger was also top notch and someone mentioned the burger was amongst the best …
Great beer selection and food options. Love it.
Really, really great coffee (they serve Pilot Coffee Roasters), chai latte's and other specialty coffees. Staff are friendly and helpful! Pick up a bag of coffee while you are there. Highly recommend this coffee shop, especially if you are a coffee connoisseur and appreciate things like coffee tasting notes, etc.
Discriminatory and Anti-Freedom...
A tad expensive for pub grub, in my opinion. Great servers, good beer selection but I would avoid the Tide Board, ours had a few tiny snails? in the dulce. My $16 burger was tasty.
Quaint and comfortable setting. The seafood chowder there was very good.
Service was excellent, server was cheerful. Enjoyed the outdoor patio on a warm summer evening.
Staff was friendly and the food was tasty. My wife ordered the burger with the salad on the side and she thoroughky enjoyed it while I enjoyed my outline with shredded pork. We sat out in the patio which has a better atmosphere than the interior I think. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because our food seemed to have taken a while to come out and the food was almost cold when it arrived. Other than that, it was a great place to enjoy an evening meal with great company.
Consistently slow with drink service. 15 minutes from being seated to receiving first drink is not uncommon. Food is good, and the food comes quickly.
Wonderful craft beers and awesome pub food.
Excellent beer on tap, over 10 to select from
I had the opportunity to enjoy a meal (a full meal) on their terrace!! It was the perfect day! The staff was wonderful and I tasted the BBQ meat cooked fresh on the deck!!! Nice place to discover
Great atmospheres, lots of place to hang around. They have a large selection of local brews. The food is great and staff very friendly. The host some of the best live venues in Moncton. For sure a go to place.
Amazing food! Great service. The parm haddock and salad was fantastic. Their poutine was delicious. Will definitely go back any time I'm in Moncton.
Great beers, service and their platters can’t be beat!
To me, this is the best restaurant in Moncton! Try the tide and boar board, they are amazing!
Dear God! Remove the potato chips from menu. So greassy and way over cooked. I asked for another less brown cajun cooking overdone and she said they can't they do it a head of time and bag it and the rest is the same. We were 3 ppl who tried and all agreed how it was. Plus, for gluten free ppl there was so limited choices. I couldn't even get just plain wings as they were already breaded :(
Best chowder I've ever had-chock full of seafood in a delicious rich broth.
Delicious boar poutine! Buffalo fried cheese curds were unreal! All topped off with a server who made us laugh and smile!
Excellent food and service. I had the Suicide spicy Nashville fried chicken and it was delicious. The blend they use is really tasty and you can get the actual flavour of the peppers used. Highly recommended for people looking for spicy and tasty.
Good food and great selection of craft beers
Thoroughly enjoyed indulging in the Moncton Burger Fest(which ends tonight). This pub style restaurant offers an amazing house salad and burger, bursting with flavor! Definitely a 10 rating!
Went there for the first time. Very nice place. Had chicken Caesar wrap, it was okay, could have used a little bit more dressing. With it had the chicken rice soup, smelt and tasted burnt?? Delicious cookies,
I've waited an hour to have one pitcher of sangria, and to get two appetizers which came to us cold and burnt. Anticipate the busy nights and adjust to it better. Would not come back here again.
Incredible. Quick service. Friendly staff. Maybe one of the best meals I've had!
Always a joy...good beer, good food
The menu was interesting and the food was good. I can see why they were on You Gotta Eat Here! The beer selection was excellent. We might have caught them on a bad night but things looked a bit disorganised. Some tables were not cleared of empty dishes and there was stuff on the floor that had fallen from those tables that no one cleaned up during our time there.
Not life changing but definitely mood and day changing. My go to if I lived here. Great service.
Everything here is top-notch! Great menu and unique specials often supporting local suppliers. The staff is always friendly and know their brews. The Tide has hosted great concerts, and recently did a Thai pop-up restaurant, which featured five courses and fun drinks. Great outdoor patio In the summer.
Delicious food!!! The best Mac and cheese ever!!! Service was decent although it was a bit slacking. We had to get up to get extra utensils cause she only gave us two of everything for our party of 3. It's a hipster spot so the prices are higher but the quality of the food makes up for it! 12$ cocktails in popsicle form! Delicious but disssapear fast!!
Food was incredible, I'm a picky eater and a foodie but was pleasantly surprised at how good the food is. Easily one of my top 3 meals all time, no joke. Waitress we had was very knowledgeable which was a treat, made for a wonderful experience. Great atmosphere. I'm also gluten intolerant which can be a pain but they had a list of what's gluten free. Would recommend to any one
Good food and dog welcome on the terasse! Amazing service!
The food was good - we had the poutine and hadock (get two pieces of the fish if you're hungry!) They are known for their beer selection and they also have a rotating list of specials that they have in limited quantity.
Been to the restaurant many times. Their oysters are delicious but the rest of their food is mediocre. Their beer is good though. If you wanted to go for drinks and try different beers they do serve a nice sampler at a great price. The cook won’t stop trying to sleep with me though so I don’t go there anymore lol
Great micro brews and local food.. Good patio seating as well
Pleasant staff and an inviting atmosphere. Definitely a place that I'd visit again!
It was absolutely delicious and worth the tiny wait to get a table (5 minutes max.). It was packed but service was full of smiles and pleasant!
Excellent service, excellent food. Honestly, couldn't be better.
Service was good. Great menu items. Good selection of beers and wine. Can be perfect for groups. Live DJ. Call ahead, but they don't take reservations for grouos under 8 which almost made us go somewhere else, because we wanted to make sure we found a restaurant for us 6
Usually a good selection of craft beer on tap. The only place in Moncton that brings in quality breweries that are sometimes hard to find. The food is great, and they usually offer special BBQ dishes beyond the core menu. Comes at a price but I think they're a treat and worth it! And they bring in good live acts at times
Man the food was wicket. Their burger for burger fest 2021 is great(Flip burger )
The Tide And Boar Is Named After Moncton's Tidal Boar.It Specializes in Pork Dishes, which Are Cooked Outdoors In A Wood Fired Grill. The Licenced Establishment Features Live Bands That Are Known Recording Artists.
It was good food and a good atmosphere. I had the boar poutine.
food was just ok, was hoping the pulled pork would "wow me" but no :( mediocre service - wouldnt go back
Location: Downtown Moncton. Street parking is available but metered (on most of the side streets as well). There are a few parking lots in the area but parking really didn't seem to be an issue. The meters don't run on weekends which was a nice surprise. The place: Great pub vibe and a decor to match. They've also got a great terrace that we didn't enjoy on day 1 due to the torrential downpour, but we made up for it on our last day. The goods: On my first visit, I shared the charcuterie board with my friend. We loved every single item on that board - SO good. I'd definitely suggest trying this out, if only because it's home made. My main were the fish tacos (2) and the polenta fries. The tacos were pretty good though I would have liked a little more flavour. The polenta fries were good but really heavy. I had two and tried to pawn the rest off on my friend. You could make a meal out of those things and be fuelled up for the day! My friend had the fish and chips and enjoyed it. She also enjoyed her beer. On our second visit, I ordered the seafood chowder and the home made ginger beer. The chowder was good, but it was lukewarm and lacking in flavour. I had to add salt and paper to it. The ginger beer was OK too - it tasted a little watered down and you could barely taste the ginger. My friend had a salad and a beer ad enjoyed both. Service: First time - OK. Second time - great. Price point: I think with tip it was about $25.
Both the polenta fries and fried curds were amazing. My quinoa burger however was not edible.
Great atmosphere and awesome oysters.
The combination BBQ platter is awesome but more than enough for two. I don't know what's in the BBQ sauce but it is Devine for dipping. We also had the seafood chowder which was excellent. The Irish Red also was not at all red but excellent.
Great food. Original. Friendly staff
Probably the best restaurant in town, our waitress (Steph) was super nice! If i ever go back to Moncton, I'll definitely come back there!
Best gastro pub around. Try the boar poutine.
Delicious food and great, combine that with patio seating and beautiful weather and you've got the recipe for a fantastic night!
Battered fish was excellent, fries were good, service was excellent. Place was very busy, but they didn't neglect there customers.
Really good food and atmosphere. Server was great and fun to joke around with. Definitely will be visiting this place again next time I'm in Moncton.
Food was good a bit pricey though
Great food, great beer, awesome staff that takes a moment for genuine conversation.
Waiting for and great staff. The patio is really nice. Definitely try the crusted haddock and the house made ice cream.
Absolutely awesome Wild Boar Poutine. Haddock was spectacular. Great micro-brew beer and the staff was very good.
Everything was amazing ????????
Pretty good food but maybe the music could be turned down a couple of notches. We were on the patio and it was quite loud and it was hard to have a conversation!!
Great coffee and food!
Food was decent. Had to wait till half way through our food to get our drinks with no acknowledgement that they were late after asking about them twice.
Best burgers around, awesome wings, great service!
Great spot to grab a drink and some great food! Lots of craft beer to choose from. I would recommend the boat poutine, it is particularly tastey (and filling)!
Waited 20 min to get 2 drinks. A double and a single cost 29,75$. Bill was rung in oddly and an Inquiry to management went unanswered. Won’t be going back.
Had the halibut tacos, and a local draft - both were fantastic. Really cool atmosphere, friendly service, plenty of different seating styles: tables, booths, and bar seating. Highly recommend.
Delicious mussels (in a creamy sauce) and oysters!! Great customer service.
Food is really good. Beautiful atmosphere.
We went in the afternoon, and it was fairly quiet. I imagine the place is much more lively at night, and I'm looking forward to seeing some live music there soon. They've got a very nice patio, a decent selection of beers, and their seafood chowder was amazing. The service was friendly and prompt, and I definitely recommend this place.
Great food and good prices
Coffee ok. Trendy vibes, but the staff is not too welcoming nor friendly. I assumed their trying to scar off tourists! Probably more suitable place for locals.
Great environment even better food. Patio is open during the warmer months, Wednesday to Saturday with an outdoor BBQ. Dogs welcome. They cool pulled pork, corn on the cob and their own in house Mac n cheese. They have several craft beers and serve the famous Pumphouse blueberry beer. Large party table in the basement if you're looking for a larger group. They're very good at accommodating large amounts of people.
Overpriced beers that come in tiny sample size glasses and extremely uncomfortable tables and chairs. The overall atmosphere is nice, but do not come here if you are not ready to overpay for both your food and drink. Would not come again.
Good ! Not sure it is your everyday after-work pint place - as it can be pricey imo (unless I missed happy hour!). But the food and beer selection is very high here! Good atmosphere. Locals seem to stick to themselves. Staff is there to strictly do their job and it shows. I was there on a visit so my perspective will be different than those of locals. Tried the Haddock. Nice plate. Overall i will return if ever i go back to Moncton!
Great local restaurant. Worth the visit if you are in Moncton.
Great food and selection of beer! Upon reception by the waitress, she directed us to the chalk board to find out the selection instead of being knowledgeable in the selection. Both myself and wife took turns standing in front of the bar trying to read the selection while keeping an eye on our daughter. Laziness on the staff part. We asked how were the nachos and the waitress replied they were not your typical nachos and the cheese wasn't melted or the notchos cooked. Almost convinced me not to get them, but gave it a shot anyway. To our delight they were not what the waitress explained and absolutely delicious. You staff is responsible for selling your product. The least they could do is be courteous and knowledgeable in what they're selling. The prices reflect that better service than McDonald's is appropriate.
We were seated on the patio right away which was awesome as we were expecting to wait. The food was okay. I got the burger with the salad and I really enjoyed both. The burger has nice flavour and I enjoyed the aioli and the salad was tasty and refreshing. The reason for the lower review was how my wife's meal was. She thought she would try there summer special of pulled pork. I read reviews that talked about parts of this and I must say they are true. The mac n cheese it comes with has a little kick of spice which is necessary because the cheese does not have a lot of flavour. The corn on the cob tasted old (granted with produce it is hard to tell, looking at it I thought it would be delicious). The pork was tender and had the smoked flavour which was nice, the coleslaw again didn't have a ton of flavour. The waitress seemed really busy so we weren't visited very often.
Great vibe and the food was excellent. Service, however was sub par. Server was uninterested in our table. Will give it another try in the future though!
The staff here are always friendly and accommodating. I had the peanut butter cup (the cups are also made in-house) cronut the other day that blew my mind. A cozy place to hang out on a cold winter day.
Pilot coffee + oat milk. What more can I ask for!!
4 stars if you are going for a meal. Food is good. Check their website for the latest menu. 1 star if you are going to see a show either in the main area or in the back area that locals will know as "The Cosmo". Reason for 1 star is that when they close the kitchen and just serve drinks, the bartenders clearly don't know the proper etiquette to serving customers. You start at one end of the bar and serve people consecutively until you get to the other end then start the process over again. Not at this establishment unfortunately. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to how they serve customers. I was there in December to see a show in the dining area and after trying to get a drink in the basement and at the main bar and having terrible experiences at both to the point I left, went across the street to Mexi's - had a quick drink then came back to enjoy the show. My experience in December won't stop me from going to shows, but I'll likely just avoid drinking when going to this place.
Excellent food and beer selection, reasonably priced.
Horrible experience. Had an allergic reaction, had to make myself throw up the food. Turns out they cook some stuff in peanut oil and didn’t clean out their deep fryer properly so it got mixed in with my fries. Wasn’t able to finish my meal. And when I brought it up I was blamed for it and the server was incredible rude and said it’s my own fault for not specifying all of my allergies properly. I had medication with me thankfully but didn’t expect to have a life threatening experience then get blamed and not even a discount. Whole plate of food paid for and wasted. No signage or notes anywhere that notify about peanut oil use.
Its some of the best food and beer in town
Potato plate for 25$... Never come back here again!
Awesome beer selection and great outdoor spot
The food here is great, and the beer selection is second to none in Moncton (in my opinion). They have a rotating selection for their draft too, so there's always something new to try! Food service can sometimes be a bit slow, but the wait is worth it. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants. I recommend the Boar Poutine - it's very filling, and extremely tasty.
Good food, good service, good beer selection.
Super food, cute waitress!!!
My absolute favorite hang out spot in Moncton. Always a new drink to try and the food is excellent.
Funky little bar... (btw no kids after 10pm) The polenta chips were surprisingly tasty, crunchy and fluffy centre... perhaps a tad too salty, but the dip offsets the saltiness flavours. The chicken sammich was ok, IMO could have done with a bit more sauce as I found the chicken breast a little dry, but I washed it down with an icy cold coke while eating it. Forgot to mention, the service was fast and friendly ????
Good service good food with local craft beers
Delicious food, great beer, good service! Only visited a couple of times (I don't live in the city) but I've never been disappointed. I love the chicken burger!
Outstanding food, service and atmosphere
The staff is friendly and welcoming. Great sandwiches, soups and salads for lunch!
Had the tuna poke, tasty but small portion for $20. Magnetic Hill wine was yummy, service was great, nice interior, bright windows.
To be honest, for what we paid the service and food were only average. While my burger was good, the poutine not only barely had any gravy it had ketchup. (my fault, I should have read closer). Our server was disinterested, and we had to chase him down to replace a beer that had a cheese curd baked onto the glass from the dishwasher.
The patio is spacious and relaxing with a lot of servers waiting on all the tables.
Creative Kitchen.... sometimes a touch too creative. But I love that they are trying things and not just sticking to the same stuff for decades at a time. Unique bar list. Interesting Space, makes for a cool vibe. Make a reservation and I bet you'll enjoy yourself!
Food was slow, and cold and very over priced, wouldn't recommend it.
The food was good, but a little overpriced. The server was very nice.
I've had a very terrible experience a year or so back. And then my sister gets me a gift card for Christmas which I still haven't received.
This place is GOOD... I know I'm not the first to say that or the last to say that... Here's the deal... If it's busy, don't let them take you into the little wine bar ... When it's full they try to put you in there.. and the vibe BLOWS... We got moved back to the main room. Steak medium came out medium well, but still was outstanding. Wish I wasn't traveling so I could come back to try more things
Great food and great beer selection. Definitely one of my favourite spots to eat.. Particularly nice to sit on the patio in the summer as well!
Good food and service. Cool vibe. Place was Packed!!!
Honestly I wanted to like this place. The service was great, the restaurant itself was interesting but the food was just not good. I’m sorry but the boat poutine was really lacking in any sort of flavour, the chowder was just basically a bowl of cream and the beer tiramisu was just one note. But like I said. Service was nice
Pretty good food during non bbq days, will definitely return for the right menu!
Delicious food, good drink selection.
Excellent food and service. Their salad niçoise was fantastic.
Delicious. Had the Tide Board and a salad. Server was super helpful and told us about lots of places to visit in the Moncton area.
I was only in Moncton for one night and this is the place that was recommended to me. It was a Saturday and the restaurant was packed. I thoroughly enjoyed the seafood chowder - perfect for a snowy winter's night. Warm atmosphere and friendly staff... Will definitely go back.
grab a table outside, it's very comfy and nice to sit there. You can pick a sofa or just a table for two. Great for larger groups up to 10 people.
The atmosphere is fantastic, we are looking forward to a more diverse lineup of beers on our next visit.
My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the consistency. They have a unique house salad but it's so hit or miss on whether you get an AMAZING mouth watering salad full of roasted veggies, granola, beets, cashews and fresh greens or some hurried, slapped together concoction that just barely cuts it as a salad. I'm always SO disappointed when I don't get their best version of the house salad. It is a salad that you will not find anywhere else. The rest of the menu is always fresh, changes often depending on the season, unique and delicious.
My favorite place in Moncton for food and drink. Awesome craft beer selection, usually at least 10 on tap and some brewed on location. Food menu is different from your average place, with some familar options too.
Every chance I had I ate at this place. The food was amazing, and delicious. A must place to eat, highly recommended.
It was closed. I called them to make reservations but there was only a message that didn't state they were closed. ????
Beautiful restaurant in downtown Moncton. One of the top 5 places to get a good beer in town. Good service, good selection and delicious food.
We went to this gastropub after reading some of the other google reviews. We wanted to try some of the local craft beers, and get a bite to eat. When we got there it was very busy for a Thursday had a small wait at the bar before getting a table for 2. We had the Mosaic IPA which was awesome and my wife had a White Russian. Got seated in the lower level, which was great cause it was cooler on a warm humid day. Our server was Karine she was very sweet and tended to everything we needed, she made food suggestions when I asked what was popular on the menu. I had a trailway IPA which was also fantastic with the slow smoked ribs, my wife had the Burger and fries, made with ground chuck and bacon, she said it was fantastic. Thanks Karine for making our experience at Tide and Boar amazing. If your in Moncton stop by I hope you get Karine too.
Busy, very nice looking building. Food was very good, umami pork bites! And the beer selection is great. Enjoyed our visit. Oh and the clam strips!!! Amazing!!
Snacks were good and cocktails were great!
The food was unbelievable. The beer selection was impressive and the service was very helpful. I would go back for the Pork Bites or Beeramisu.
Great service. Food is good and awesome beers
Great Food, Great Beer, Great Atmosphere! Those gnudi dumplings are to die for.
Great atmosphere and delicious food. Service was attentive.
Enjoyed this eatery many times in the past but they have swung and missed with the Charcuterie offerings. They were embarrassedly small in content and exorbitantly expensive.
Fun, great choices of drinks. Large fancy bathrooms for selfie shots lol Staff are very nice and the band's that come are an awesome variety. Special events for New Year's eve, dinner theater performed by Neptune theater. Signal Hill is definitely the BEST band I have EVER seen there!! Prices are reasonable and lots of space. Upstairs balcony for chillin and downstairs main level with a stage and a dance floor. Some tables around to sit and relax, get there early for those! Floor does get pretty sticky with ppl spilling their drinks while dancing but it doesn't stop anyone from having fun.
This is the place I've had the best burger ever in my life! No joking! Literally the best burger! Accompanied by a nice salad and a beer brewed right on spot. But the burger... Never in my life would imagine that will find in Moncton such a treasure! !
Amazing third wave coffee, stylish decor, music on vinyl, thoughtful pay it forward system, brunch to die for, and the staff are awesome too.
What a great looking place... glad I decided to go in, because the food matches it's looks. I had nothing terribly fancy, just the beer-battered haddock. Quite possibly the best fish and chips I've ever had! Had to ask for more tartar sauce though; there was hardly any on the plate. Picaroon's on tap was the perfect drink for the occasion. Sincere and genuinely friendly service. I will return.
Food was pretty good. Service was not. Sat for 10m in the practically empty restaurant. And the server doesn't introduce specials or taps. When I asked he just pointed to the board at the back of the restaurant. After the food and beer arrived, I didn't see the server again until I asked for the bill.
If the old Cosmo Club had to go.... at least the space went to a worthy successor. Good up market pub food. Huge selection of micro-brew, prompt, courteous wait staff. Highly recommended.
There are five people behind the counter telling each other stories and I'm sitting here waving my hand trying to get some service. - This is a real time review. Hopefully this rating changes by the end of the night Well I guess it just got worse, the waiter tried to con me on my change after I paid my bill.
Great service! Love the selection!
Favourite cafe in the city. Knowledgeable barista gives great recommendations on beans as well.
This was an awesome experience!
I was excited to sample some food and beer here. However, when we arrived on a Wednesday afternoon they were out of their own beer. I was disappointed, but drank a good sour from Loyalist City Brewing in Saint John. The menu got me excited when I saw Boar Poutine. The smell from the smoker on the patio made me think that we would've been better off having dinner there. I did like the patio, though.
They discriminate here...gross that "just following orders" is their excuse. Support a small business that has morals, not this place
Oh my yum. The fish and chips is so fresh and buttery that it just melts in your mouth.
Have gone here 3 times now and have only managed to eat once. The food was ok at best but expensive for what you get and the kind of service you get. One time i went with 2 of my friends and we waited at the door for somebody to serve us but no one even stopped to look at us until a group of older women walked in and they look passed us and served them so we left. Last time i was there with 3 friends and we managed to get a seat and menus but waited 25 minutes and still no one even took our drink order but we watched as others got sat and served so we got up and left again. We are a group in our early 20's and judging by the way we were treated the stuff treat you based on your age and weather or not you look like you will tip much. I always tip atleast 20% but i will never be back there again, worst service in town. Head on down the street to the pumphouse.
"You've got to eat Here" as seen on tv, at TIDE & BOAR , yes, yes, you've got to eat this Boar Poutine ! but maybe with a friend, large portion, great fries, tasty, tasty, tasty with fast service & good range of craft beers from local sources, right in the downtown core, an easy walk to the arena, river & hotels, good atmosphere for group or casual dining or date night !
We sat at the bar and the female bartender (petite build with long dark hair) wasn't too friendly. She seemed to have an attitude. We each ordered a drink and within 3 minutes she had given us the bill. We asked "Oh are you closing, is it last orders?" to which she replied "No" so we were puzzled. And we still are! Not the best experience, on that basis we wouldn't return.
We are on vacation and went for drinks tonight on the patio. We ordered oysters and drinks. After 35 mins, we asked what the status was on our order as we still had not even received our drinks. We were told the oysters were almost ready, "just 4 more to shuck". Another 15 mins later we told our server we'll just take the oysters that are shucked... and our drinks. Apparently NONE were even started! So we had our drinks and asked for the bill. When we got back to the hotel we realized there were drinks on our bill we never received. Needless to say, I don't recommend Tide & Boar.
Went here for lunch, got the burger. WOW. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had. Juicy but not greasy, amazing sauce. They cooked it the way I wanted it, and it was the perfect temperature. My wife got the gluten-free burger and also loved it, and that's saying something. It wasn't just your standard lettuce-wrapped GF burger, or some ratty crumbly buns, but real high quality GF buns. Servers were friendly and have good service. Atmosphere is hip and artsy, yet clean. Very inviting. They play cool music too (folksy kind of stuff).
Charming outdoor patio and delicious food. Nice selection of local brews on tap too. Great place to meet up for lunch!
Really amazing food !!! I recommend this place to anyone :) service really great too !!
I have 3 favorite restaurants and this is one of them! A must try is the cornbread fries! I loved it all.
Good food and good beer choices.
Was not a fan at all. I had a hamburger and poutine, thought it was a safe choice - did not think it was anything special at all. I actually hated the hamburger - the meal was overpriced and the service wasn't anything great. Better places in Moncton.
My favourite dishes are the parm crusted haddock and boar poutine. Never disappoints! Love the atmosphere especially when its patio season.
Nice selection of beers, the boar poutine is amazing.
As good as you're gonna get in a Gastropub. Try the Boar Poutine!
The BEST catering in the City of Moncton. All of wedding guests raved about our brunch! If good food is important to you, look no further. Hire T&B for your catering needs!!!
Nice place -- wish I could get a decent meal there grain & legume-free. They missed the opportunity with the paleo/primal crowd.
Really cool spot. They smoke their own meat for bbq plates and have a full menu with lots of options. Plenty of craft beer and a great atmosphere
Great food and service and quite the selection of beer. If you're into craft this is a place to check out! Side salad is great and so is the fried chicken sandwich and seafood pasta(can't remember the name of it).
Food was truly awful, service okay and the ambience is nice. Probably good for drinks but give the 'food' a miss.
Had a wonderful time. The food was fantastic, and the service was even better. Despite the restaurant clearly being very packed, our food still came incredibly fast.
Love the atmosphere. It's a nice place to go.
Wonderfull terrasse. Food was excellent. Great ambiance !
Awesome venue with a balcony. Good feelings, good vibes!
Vegan impossible burger was the BEST! Served within 10 minutes as well.
Hostess seated us to a table and then we were ignored for 20 minutes, so we got up and left. I was also seated under a leaking air conditioning vent, so that wasn't pleasant.
Great place, excellent attention.
One of the better places to eat in moncton, a bit upscale but not over the top. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, timely service last but not least great food. Remember this is nothing like chills.
Good food friendly staff.
Nice menu and a nice beer list as well. Our waitress was very helpful with suggestions to our order, which were right on.
Whenever I am in moncton, tide and boar is a must stop. Wit the wide array of beers on tap, drinks, food (boar poutine, unami pork bites, burgers and more)
One of the best hangouts in Moncton. Great food, service. Friendly atmosphere, and often great entertainment.
Came here twice. The food was a little bit of hit and miss. I want to give 3.5 stars. They had by far the least impressive seafood chowder during our East Coast trip
The food is local and incredible. The beer list is also local and amazing. Despite the brutal dumping of snow we experienced while we were in Moncton, the staff was very uplifting, kind, knowledgeable, and New Brunswicky. Make sure that if you're in Moncton, that you stop at the Tide and Boar. There's nothing else.
Everytime we go we are never disappointed. Great food and service.
What a great place! Super awesome staff. Great night
After hitting up some locals we were directed to this gastro-pub to find the best quality pub food available in the Maritime. We were not disappointed. Beer selection was excellent and the food was put together with outstanding quality. On possibly the busiest weekend in Moncton (big car show) we waited at the bar and explored the 500+ person venue in the basement. Service was on point when we made it to our table about 30 minutes later - for a no reservation 8 top not too bad. My only bummer was no boar left for the boar poutine, but the haddock and salad was probably a healthier choice. We will be returning...
Excellent food, generous portions. Friendly staff
Best burger I have ever had! Delicious food, knowledgeable staff, cannot recommend enough!
Great service and food with a menu items that have a flair. The open area sometimes too crowded at lunch - not very cozy.
Food was absolutely delicious! I had the chicken sandwich Nashville style. Got medium heat which I found to be a perfect mix of heat and flavor! Fries were cooked perfectly as well.Highly recommend! My fiancé got the boar poutine which she loved! With loads of cheese and meat on those fries, could not have been better! Our waitress was also so kind! Wish I could remember her name! Very nice atmosphere and a nice view of Main st.
Good food, reasonable prices and a trendy croud. Certainly not a family resturant and definitely hits it on the head as a self-described "Gastro Pub".
Very good vegetarian and gluten free options.
Great evening tasty food and refreshing on tap beer very nice evening :)
Service was not very good! When we walked in 3 - 4 staff members walked right by us with no acknowledgement. The bartender was the one who finally helped us out as he noticed we were just standing there wondering if we just sit down or wait to be seated. It was kind of awkward. We ended up leaving and going to Trio, our hotel bar. Not very welcoming! :(
One of my favourite places to eat or grab a drink in Moncton. In the summer I love their patio. They have a large selection of beer, to anyone visiting Moncton I would recommend visiting the Tide & Boer
I was disappointed by the poutine...perhaps my standards were too high. Mussels were bland. The staff on the other hand were excellent!
A little pricey but they have some unique beers ????
Great place to play and the food and menu is great.
Chicken burger Nashville style hot was by far the best chicken burger I have ever had. Will definitely do again.
I guess this is a must come place when your in moncton. Ordered the famous boar poutine and the fish and chips and a local blonde beer. The beer was the reason it was a 4 star instead of 5
Great food. Helpful, friendly staff.
Good beer. Food was a bit of a disappointment. I had the boar poutine. It was pretty bland. I let my wife talk me into trying a rhubarb beer. While I usually like weird beers, it was too weird for my tastes. To be fair, the waiter did warn me. Loud music was playing quite loudly. We were there with my older in laws who were obviously not comfortable with the place. It's a young, hip, noisy crowd. We tried the beer-a-misu. Tiramisu, but made with beer. While it was interesting, it was a little difficult to eat out of the glass container it was served in. Very sticky, stuck to the spoon. Not a bad place, if you're looking for drinks.
Good staff, great atmosphere, excellent beer selection. They also brew their own beer which is always fantastic. I have found the food to be a bit hit or miss though.
Mediocre food at a fairly high price. The atmosphere is amazing though!
Gluten free burgers available upon request, which I had! We ate outside. Atmosphere was nice. Also great for tasting different types of beer (which I couldn't do since I have celiac)
Great atmosphere; good food and nice local beers
The Tide&Boar takes the number one slot on my (Rachael's) favorite place to eat in Moncton. Seriously amazing. Most of the food is made daily in-house and bought locally. Their house salad is a must. Also, there is an awesome wine bar attached (Duo) with twenty-some different wines available by the glass!
The food was alright and the ambiance was good. I'd probably come for drinks again but not to eat.
Based on what I'd heard, I really had my hopes up for the food at this place. The entree that caught my attention was not the most expensive thing on the menu, and I'm glad it wasn't because, wow, what a disappointment. The quality was barely adequate (I've literally had better halibut fillets in Irving Restaurants) and that was not compensated for by the quantity. Part of the problem is that this place seems to be still presenting their food in the "nouvelle cuisine" style; with tiny portions, right down to tiny dots of sauce and tiny sprigs of vegetables and garnish. It's not the 1980's anymore and, even then, artfully-presented food still needs to be at least decent quality. I was actually offended by them having the nerve to charge what they did for such a tiny amount of substandard food. It seemed insulting, as though they didn't think anyone would notice.
Finally made it here! It can be difficult to get a table at peak times, but the wait was worth it. Delicious food.
Perfectly blended coffee stop in the downtown, love the soothing taste. STRONGLY RECOMMEND.
We really enjoy this restaurant! The foods was amazing and the service was quick and easy! I would certainly go back?
Meh I've only ever gone for lunch. Expect to pay at least $20. Last time I got the haddock & it was served colder than lukewarm. It's put me off the restaurant, maybe I'll give it another go in 6 months.
Good food but service really slow.
Great service. Lots of choices on the menu. Food quality was top notch.
Boar Poutine was awesome. Good beer collection
Great beers on tap, delicious food!
Excellent service - Paul is a stand-out waiter! Our table enjoyed the brisket (amazing smokey flavor) and the veggie burger (probably the best veggie burger I've ever tasted). It's a little loud and packed, but the food is great and it's well-worth enduring the slightly chaotic atmosphere.
Delicious food in the core of Moncton! I came here the night before I flew back home and am so glad T&B opened on a statutory holiday (so many restaurants were closed that day)! I ordered a seafood board, a clam chowder and a caesar and I loved everything about the dishes. The clam chowder had the right amount of saltiness and I was impressed with the selection of items they offered on my board (pickled pine?! Fresh sashimi shrimps? That’s a first for me!). The waiter, gentleman with a beard, that served my spouse and I was super friendly and sociable, thank you so much for making our date night in Moncton so memorable.
Very good fried chicken sandwich. Also the fries are homemade. Service is quick.
Great beer selection. The staff is top notch. I also think I just ate the best veggie burger of my life.
Always good food and service. One at my table thought the water, served from a bottle, was just city tap water..
Good food and service in a fun and relaxing atmosphere!
Best bbq'd food I've had hands down
Unique food and a great craft beer selection.
Super friendly service. Very good craft beer ????
Always good food, and good service. Love the atmosphere/ambiance.
Food was awesome. Craft beer is a must to taste. Especially the sour one if they have.
We decided to eat lunch here after looking at the menus of other restaurants close bye Turned out to be the right choice. My wife ordered the seafood chowder and I had parmesan crusted haddock. Both were fantastic. I would have given it 4.5 stars if the option was available. We did not order any beer, but it did look interesting. Will go back if we are in Moncton again
Good place for a couple of drinks and hang out but the food flavors still don't have enough condiments
We stopped here on our way home for brunch and it was great!! I enjoyed the Eggs on Boar Brisket (can't remember the official name) is was great!! The sauce was great and everything was cooked to perfection. My brother ordered the boar poutine and it was great. The meat was tender, the gravy and cheese were great and the fries were homecut (the best kind!). Would make the return to try a few of the other items on the menu.
Cheapest place to get lattes in Moncton I've found so far. Great selection of drinks available. Wide variety of non-dairy alternatives. The food is also fantastic!
Great food, great atmosphere, friendly & helpful servers. The chowder was rich & very tasty. The Boar Poutine is a must. And the local (Fredericton) Graysyone Brewing "Wild Child" radler was refreshing. Good selection of local + in-house craft beer. You gotta eat here!
Very expensive and food just ok. Certainly does not live up to its hype.
We stopped here for a patio side drink as the place looked lively and cozy. The service given by Jose was outstanding. One of our favourite stops during our visit to NB.
The beer selection is alright. I find their microbrewery tends to lean more towards IPAs. Tried their falafel during happy hour and unfortunately it was undercooked and gummy. Will be back for a beer!
Table of 12 hockey players - Handled like a CHAMP! Very impressed with not only the hospitality of our server and the fact we were pretty much given our own little private area for dining, but also the food was absolutely incredible. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. MENU: I had both the perogies, and the 10oz ribeye and they were amazing. All the guys on the team were raving about the food, well done Tide & Boar.
What a great spot in Moncton! Stopped in for drinks on our first night and came back on our second night for dinner. The smoker was on and we shared a delicious BBQ platter. Portions were great , we also enjoyed some beers by tide and Boar. Would highly recommend l!
Had the Tide and Boar board which is a mix of meat, cheese, and home smoked fish. Everything was absolutely delicious. Pro tip: order more crostinis right of the bat. They are so good and you’ll need them to smear all the goodness!
Great food, decent beer. Service was OK.
Loved the seafood chowder, but hated the seasoned halibut, the fish was way overcooked and the rice taste was just off. The service was slow, this is my second visit, the first one I loved it, but this time I'm leaving very disappointed
I have been going here throughout the past decade. This place has been re-branded so many times due to internal conflicts and controversies that have dominated this location. It sucks that such a prominent place in Moncton's downtown is being overseen by ineffective, lacklustre management who have not made service a priority. It is the only venue that many of us will be able to see certain bands and musicians coming through the city. If you don't absolutely have to be there, I would avoid it on busier nights.
Best food and drinks in the city. Service can be a bit slow but mostly comes from being too friendly!
The beer menu was too long, not too long to read, to long to drink it all. Delicious!
Amazing atmosphere and one of the best outdoor patios in the area. Really good beer selection. Food was good.
Boar poutine was ok. Could have fed a small army for sure and if you were 2 or 3 people it's worth the $18 or $19 price tag or whatever it is.
Veggie burger was okay! Awesome selection of beers.
Amazing food, excellent service, well worth the visit. Thanks Tide & Boar!!
My glass of water had dishwasher grime on it, our table was really dirty and all the others around was dirty as well... My fiance burger and my bore poutine was great. Felt like I didn't get enough sauce with my poutine however.
Recommended to us by a local as a favorite. We were very pleased! Food was great. In-house beer paired perfectly. Waiter (Paul) made the experience fun and welcoming. Thank you!
Great food, friendly service, vast selection of craft beer
If you love pork, you'll love the Tide & Boar. Poutine is a must-have.
Great food beer and service. Atmosphere is sweet too.
The atmosphere is great,it's kid friendly. The food is good. Was not able to try the patio was too busy but will definitively go back.
An absolutely highlight of my trip to Moncton. So good, we went twice. Was impressed by the quality of food and selection of beers at lunch, we went back a couple days later for brunch. Equally impressed with my salmon Benedict. I got to try many locally crafted beers from independent breweries. Nice service and fun decor, but really, it's all about the food and drink here. Big smokers on the beautiful patio was a real treat as well.
Host ask too much question. Almost bothersome. Cozy environment, great food. Little expensive.
Great patio with lots of seafood options with a unique twist.
Great selection of beers. Food is delicious and fresh. Awesome place to bring visitors from out of town.
Great food both of us loved and so did kids. Our server was best
Popular spot for quick and decent pubfare. Food options are small but generally well made. Great atmosphere for casual dining and patio option. Great beer selection. Fried chicken didn't live up to expectation for us; too dry. Burger and Tide Board were tasty.
The food here is always great! Gave the vegan "chicken" sandwich a try it was absolutely amazing !! 10/10 would definitely recommend!
Great outdoor patio! The inside atmosphere is not the greatest. I would only sit outside if you're headed there. Menu was intriguing that's what brought us there. We had the Boar board as we love charcuterie. We found the selection of meats to be very bland and dry. The pork belly was absolutely delicious, the others were very dry sausages and cold cut style meats. Wasn't very impressed. The board came with a very small amount of mustard. Which was only the Dijon seeds. It would have benefited from a delicious spiced mustard with a bit more flavour. Drinks were awesome
The atmosphere of the patio drew me in. I had made my first trip to Moncton since moving here from Toronto in June. I was supposed to go to a different restaurant but after walking past the patio and seeing the atmosphere I decided to turn around and have lunch there. The waiter was amazing ( I think his name was Paul… I overheard him say he had been working there for 5 years) that in itself says a lot to me in this industry. He was kind enough to accommodate my dying iPhone by charging it for me. The food was so fresh and tasty! I had to go with fish as Moncton is costal. The birds that hang around the patio are as amusing as your neighbourhood pub locals. I was dining alone so I got a kick out of feeding the little chickadee who was ground surfing for the tasty morsels that ran from your plate. Eating on the Patio transports you right to a little nook in Spain. I will be back!
Fish and beer (@Dieu du ciel #FunFou ) were amazing. Ride and boar not so much. Funny flavours and not much cheese. The servers and ambiance 10 out of 10
Great food. Great beer. Great service. Try the boar poutine.
Amazing coffee and food. The coffee is roasted locally and I think all of the food is made on site.
I really enjoyed the Tidal Board - such a great Atlantic take on a traditional charcuterie board! I visited on a Friday night, and this is clearly a popular spot in Moncton - don't expect lightning fast service! Can't wait to go again.
What a gem! My wife and I were directed here from the local art gallery (Starving Artist Cafe) and we could not have been happier with the recommendation. We will be back the next time were in Moncton. Great food, great coffee, great staff!
Long list of LOCAL and imported beers, great food, the place to be downtown on a nice afternoon / evening if a table is available..friendly staff.. good service..
Excellent food. Very tasty and nutritious!
what an excellent atmosphere I mean we had such a great time there can't wait to go back again all the stuff for excellent they're very friendly really polite easy to get along with you feel really comfortable at home there I can't wait to see you guys again we're planning a trip there real soon thanks for everything guys and all the hospitality we really appreciate it and hope to see you soon good luck thanks for everything
Great food, great beer, service a bit slow unfortunately and we weren't even in a rush. We would have stayed for dessert if it hadn't have taken so long, even had a parking ticket by the time we got back to our car.
Went in for the first time today, not only were we greeted by a super friendly and knowledgeable barista she ensured all of our questions were answered (some of which I didn’t even know I had) the place was nicely decorated! A real asset to the greater Moncton area!
Wonderful service. The most delicious hamburger I’ve ever had.
Great food and absolutely killer beer selection - both local and international. A 'can't miss' if you're in Moncton and enjoy great beer.
This a popular stop on Main Street. The menu for Tide & Boar features a number of flavourful dishes, including Wild Boar Poutine. The service is good and the atmosphere is lively. However, I find this eatery doesn't quite live up to the hype of being featured on You Gotta Eat Here.
Great service. Excellent beer selection. And the food is delicious!
Best steak I've ever had. Great beer, great bands.
Good food, good beer, excellent service. Knocked a couple of stars off because they advertised live music. At 11pm band still sitting drinking beer. Gave up and left!!!
Really loved their beers. Almost as good as their amazing food.
Good food. Good location. Nice staff.
The food here was excellent, I really enjoyed my brisket burger. The service was a bit slow and it was a little expensive for how much food you get, the portions could be bigger.
Nice setting, but prices are a bit high. Limited menu.
Pretty terrible experience. Had to get our own menus as they forgot about us. Brought us the wrong order, not once, but twice and argued about us not ordering it. Meal wasn't even good portions or tasty and over priced. Wouldn't recommend. Would leave 0 stars if I could and I never leave negative reviews .
Parmesan crusted haddock with house salad is my go to. The house salad is delicious . It has granola, beats, fresh herbs. They also carry a large selection of craft beers on tap; which changes regularly.
Food was excellent service was friendly but no exchange rate so the meal was over 60$ to much in my opinion
Went there for dinner. Good food and coffee is good.
The brisket hash tasted great, but the portion of brisket was too small. Another 2 ounces would have been great and I would certainly be willing to pay a bit more for it.
Great service, great food. Wide variety of locally made craft beers. The only place where I might encourage you to get the house salad over the fries... it's really good. Decent vegetarian option as well.
Excellent service with a beautiful smile. The fried chicken sandwich was amazing. Paired that with the chowder and a black IPA.... magic. ????????
Food was definitely not worth the money. I did not enjoy anything about my first time going there.
Saturday, after a movie night with my love, we decided to eat and have a beer here. It was 9H30 (21h30) on a SATURDAY and the waitress (very busy cleaning the menus and very rude) told us that it's too late to eat. Yes, we won't come again to this place, more like a Tea Dance place than a restaurant.
I was initially a bit unsure of Tide & Boar as it appeared to be a pub style restaurant (where I sometimes find it difficult to accomodate my dietary restrictions). That being said, we had a fabulous experience. The staff were very responsive and accommodating to all of our requests. The service was prompt and all of our food was very enjoyable. Our table enjoyed both the Vegan "Big Mac" and a breakfast dish. All were very tasty and the perfect portion size!
Beautiful atmosphere and great food and drinks for a good price. I dont know what happened, but the burgers ingriedients seem to be of much lower quality, wasnt even able to finish. If you get the Burger you may want to reconsider.
Overall an OK experience. Ordered the two 2 piece cod with a salad as a side ($25 with tip included). The cod was wonderful, but the salad was browning and there were rotting leaves within. I informed my server of my concerns and had the salad replaced.. only to find that the next salad had the same persisting issues. Even somebody with no culinary experience can easily distinguish fresh and rotting leaves. For a restaurant that boasts as much as it does on its website you'd think that the kitchen would be held to a higher standard.
Great atmosphere. Delicious burgers and good beer.
Dined on the special of the day & the fried chicken sandwich. All was fresh & tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. I'd come back without hesitation.
My dad ordered the battered cod and was served it cold two times. After that, the manager made sure it was satisfying and paid for it. My dish was tasty and filling. The atmosphere was good and so was the beer. I'd go back to this place!
Food was good but side serving was kids size very good fries just too little of them
If you have not had the brisket burger here, there is a giant burger-shaped hole in your life and you don't even know it yet.
I've been there three times, the food is not bad but not outstanding. If you want to experiment poutine for the first time, it's a good place to try. The beers are also OK, I don't remember drinking anything that would make me go there again.
Service, atmosphere and food.. all GREAT!! Our favourite place to eat and drink when visiting Moncton.
Best poutine in moncton. Every thing I've tried had been excellent. Good beer selection also. Ambiance is good too. This is a must try place for anyone visiting moncton.
Best Patio in Downtown Moncton Yummy food, good selection of craft beers and amazing service, thanks Stephanie ????
Love Duo for their eclectic vinyl mix, from Feist &Florence to Sam Cooke; and Earth, Wind&Fire. Delicious coffee, I get a maple flat white and today had an everything cookie, divine! I also love the patio at Tide&Boar and selection of craft beers. Service is always friendly ????
We were looking for a pit stop during our drive to Nova Scotia and this was the perfect, quick off the highway destination. Tide and Boar is the kind of place everyone wishes was in their neighborhood. The service was spot on and the lunch time fare was perfect. We both enjoyed burgers, mine with addictive french fries and hers with a summer salad that we couldn't get enough of.
Great food, and a wide selection of craft brews.
Best seafood chowder that I've ever had!!! Boar poutine - AMAZING! Smoked and then deep fried wings.... Delicious! Highly recommend
This place does have some of the best live bands in town. Really good food is served and the beer selection is also one of the best in Moncton. MOST of the staff is very professional and nice but I did have one of the worst service by one of their servers.
Great food... great beer... great service. ????
My favourite bar in town. Their drink menu has a huge selection and they always have a wide variety of beer on tap. I have yet to try their food though; I may have to come back and amend this review later on when I do.
Good selection of beers and excellent fries. My friend had the seafood chowder and said it was incredible.
Went here after Touchdown Atlantic and sat inside. My husband ordered the steak (medium rare) which was $36 and I ordered the chicken. The food came out and my husband's steak was dry and well done, so he sent it back. For $36 he wanted it the way he ordered it. So after 10 minutes he got a new plate. Cut into the steak and it was RAW. He couldn't even take a bite. It was just seared on the outside and raw on the inside. He told the server that we would pay for my supper and he didnt want another steak, he was done with trying to eat a steak there. The server took the steak back and she showed whom ever was managing the kitchen. We got a beer removed from our bill for the issues. We paid and I left full and we went to the Gahan House for my husband to eat. Very disappointing.
Great Live bands, amazing food and friendly staff. Definitely check it out!
If the food wasn't so good, I'd never return. The service is consistently horrid.
This is a super good coffee shop that I highly recommend. Definitely should try out their donut. Such a crazy combination but turn out a really good taste that you can never forget
Was impressed with the service, gluten-free options and selection of beer. Food was nice but has a little room for improvement. Upscale pub food.
Good food but mosquitoes were not nice.
The food was okay at best, not fantastic. But the location was close to my hotel. The beer battered cod was extremely dry and bland. The fries were burnt and burger buns were soggy. The chowder was alright, but almost no clams. The nashville fried chicken was overcooked and absolutely greasy! The only silverlining was the salad! That was absolutely FANTASTIC!
Well, I had to serve myself my wine. Food was meh. Such a shame I used to like this place. A regular stop when driving through Moncton. Clearly things has gone downhill.
The Tide and Boar has one of the best venues in Moncton, but they are dropping the ball. I've been there twice in the past 6 months, and on the first occasion my companion was served un-cooked fish, twice. My meal was fine. On the second occasion, we found that the beer menu lacked any "winter" brews, when it was decidedly wintery out. Frozen is no way for fish to start before being turned into battered fish with chips.
A solid choice for a fancy dinner. I went to a pop-up restaurant there and the food was delicious! The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. I would for sure go again for a special occasion
Chill atmosphere, nice service and good food
First time visit . Great boar poutine!
Great local gastropub with tasty beers onntap
One of my favourite restaurants in Moncton by far! My favourite item so far is the haddock!
Came here for a coffee & it's closed 3 hours before the time indicated on Google. Should update business hours.
Great food. Food with a twist. Great service
Great food and beer
One of the best restaurants in moncton. The summer outside patio is great. Food is excellent. Little pricey but worth it.
If you're looking for a spot to eat right in the heart of the downtown, this place is it. The food is really good and the craft beer is great. I do find serving sizes are a little small for some dishes, but overall it's filling. Staff are usually quite nice and service is decently fast. Atmosphere inside is very trendy. Depending what you order, prices are a little steep, but so are food prices all over the downtown. I would highly recommend.
Fantastic beer and food, great atmosphere and extremely friendly staff
Very good eats and service.
Great food. Services was very good.
Pretty much my favorite spot in Moncton. Awesome service, very good food, and, the best selection of beer in Moncton.
Absolute favorite place to eat in Moncton! The Tide and Boar Salad is delicious as is their beer
Great drinks and fun menu. Intimate and trendy. A little bit expensive for food.
Great hamburger and fries. Othwrs loved their fish, their beer. Nice patio for downtown Moncton.
Great service, warm atmosphere, amazing seafood and tasty local beer. Strongly recommend it.
Great food and great service i had "the burger" and the t & b salad food was amazing well worth the price i would recommend them to any one only negative was the pricing it could be a tiny bit lower but either way well worth the price
Great Food and Atmosphere , our first waiter was a little condescending but with that said, as our night progressed we moved to a larger table and had a another waitress who served us, it was third shift there , she was amazing!
Great beer selection and recommendations for flights! The food is pretty good!
Mediocre at best! This place is on the cusp of clean for meeting hygienic standards. Got a dirty wine glass, dirty napkins, and flies were our table guests! The nova Scotia cod was tasty but much of the evening left a sour taste in my mouth. Not worth it, you gotta eat here was lying!
Located on main St. A gastro pub - excellent food and nice beer selection. Gets busy for dinner as well as after work drinks crowd. Recommend making reservation.
Incredible Pulled Pork, great beer. Our waitress was great Highly recommended
Great food. Amazing burger
Great food with a nice atmosphere. They also have great live intertainment.
Great place, very welcoming, food was amazing. Totally recommend both charcuterie platters; Tide and Boar. Of course seafood was phenomenal.
Expected great things, had heard how good the food was here. Seemed expensive for what it was, fries were over cooked and didn't enjoy them, the burger was average. My wife enjoyed her food but lamented she wish we had chosen one of the other many nearby places to eat. Probably will be awhile before we try this place again despite it being so recommended. A pass for us.
Ordered the Beer Flight and Boar Poutine. There was a couple of fruit flies in the restaurant which as a result made me spill my beer trying to kill it. The Boar Pountine fries where over cooked to the point it was difficult to eat. Not enough gravy and charged me a dollar for more which was barely enough. The Boar meat itself was delicious. Great service, but 19.00 for a poutine, weak sauce.
I loved this place. Food was delicious and service was great
The food and beer here is top notch! The Pork Bombs are awesome! Everything was great, wish I had a few more days in town to try a few more things.
One of the better places in town to head for a slightly upscale bite to eat. It's a pretty laid back environment but the food makes it a lot more high end than your average pub fare. Daily and seasonal specials in rotation with some staples to the menu mean you can always try something new when you go. If you're the drinking type there are a lot of regional and craft beers available as well as a fully stocked bar that serves cocktails too. There is often live music as well on some nights that features some local and travelling talent. A definite top tier establishment in Moncton without the pretentious atmosphere of an upscale fine dining restaurant.
Good burgers
Nice foods. Nice craft beer. Great outside area.
Good food even better local beer selection. Sat out on the spacious patio. Would definitely like to return to try more of the food.
Awesome coffee, priced very reasonably!! I’ll be back once I return to work! ????
Great mixed drinks. The Sazerac is really good. Food good but quality slipping from when it first opened. Service not the best. Served my vegan wife cheese on her salad and didnt think it was a big deal. We will be back for the drinks and maybe the food.
Awhile back my friends and I made the road trip to Moncton from Boston. We still talk about Tide & Boar as being the highlight of our trip. The menu options were fantastic and diverse, I recall trying the taquitos, chicken & waffles, and wild boar poutine, all of which was amazing. To this day they also have served me the best mojito I have ever had. Super fresh, not oversweetend, just perfect. Moncton in general was a much better food city then I was expecting and you are doing s disservice to yourself if you're ever in the area and do not pay a visit.
Food is amazing, patio is very comfortable, great selection of beers. Favorite place to eat and drink in Moncton.
Went in for burger week.. was super awesome.... yummo
Great food and great selection of beer
Awesome food, great beer, excellent service.
Great apps! Great food! Nice atmosphere!
Was sat down at a dirty table to begin with. When asked what they had on tap our waiter told me to read the board which was across the room and hard to see. Very lazy and unprofessional to not even name off the beers on tap. My husbands meal came way before mine. When my soup finally came out it was luke warm at best and my bread was floating on the top as the waitress informed me it fell in by mistake. Why she brought it to me that way I have no idea, and the stale bread she bought me out to replace it with was not edible. My husband’s food was not overly hot either. Was left sitting at the table for more than 5 minutes waiting to pay. Not a good experience at all. Terrible sevice and mediore food.
The coffee was good, had a Cold Brew and a Maple Latte. Staff was efficient. Kind of hard to get to (had to park and walk about a quarter mile) but all in all a nice spot with good coffee.
Very well curated beer menu. Food is authentic gastro pub.
Loved this place. Great burger. Decent drinks. Not a beer xperson, but friends raved about it.
No service after 30 min , not even the beer we ordered, yes I know beer fest is on ,a busy time.. but not to be acknowledged by the staff that sucks.. i am so disappointed...an embarrassment to moncton...this sucks no staff to care about where u are .. a disgrace to the city of moncton and the food network who recommends them this Year left a crappy taste to ...thanks to them my experience to the Atlantic beer fest was crappy.such a disapontment. a what's worse NO ONE FROM TIDE AND BOAR will acknowledge. this is bad for customer service in this industry and for tourism in the city of Moncton.
Always enjoy my lunches hear. My favorite has to be the chowder with the fried chicken sandwich. Always so good. Servers are always nice. Quick service for lunch when needed.
Ate dinner here after watching the tidal bore at bore view park. The food was great, and a super selection of drinks. Combined with super service and their great patio, it all made for a fantastic dinner out. And, nice to take my wife and daughters to a pub where the waitresses were dressed appropriately, not like some places that make their wait staff dress like trashy strippers. Very happy to have had the recommendation to try this pub, we were all very pleased.
Awesome good especially love the boar poutine.
Good food and a nice place for a lunch meeting with friends or clients.
I haven’t stopped thinking about what a great experience I had at this restaurant. I wish I would have taken the waitress name. She was probably one of the best waitress I had. I loved the fact I was able to bring my dog to sit outside with me. Everyone seemed to be in such a great mood. although it was very busy, everyone took the time to make sure my food was good and to even make small conversation. And the wait time wasn’t long at all.
My husband and I are over 60. We went to the restaurant and really enjoyed the draft beer and appetizers. However, after ordering dinner, they forgot about us. We noticed that people who came in much later than we did were being served elaborate meals. Basically when you are “an old fart” the young waiters do not care about you. When we told them of the situation that we had waited 45 minutes and we still were not served, they said they were sorry and would discount our bill, but guess what when they didn’t come with the bill, we went up to the head cashier and just asked for the bill with no discount so we just could leave. Obviously we did not order dessert. Basically, if you are not young and trendy, no matter how good the food, this is NOT the restaurant for you unless you have a large book to read or lots of things to do on your iPhone.
The best gastropub in the city - great atmosphere and great food and service
Spent the afternoon on the patio enjoying the weather, good food, service and a wide selection of craft beers. I would definitely recommend you try this place, if you can!
I’ve been here twice now and their food and beer are very good, especially their unfiltered beers. Both times the service was friendly and accommodating but not very quick. Their patio is a good place to spend a couple hours
Awesome food, great music and fun staff make for an amazing experience. The owner has recently gotten into microbrewing really unique beers that you won't be able to find anywhere else in the area. He also brings in the best from the regional brewers as well. Always happy to support T&B.
Delicious food and interesting selection of beer.
Loved the patio area. Very cozy
Great live venue and equally delicious food
Great artisian restaurant in the heart of downtown Moncton.
Been many times, food is not what it used to be.. prices should be lowered to reflect the quality..
It was ok. Table was dirty. Wait staff was slow. Napkins we're dirty. I had the boar poutine and the boar was cold and kind of bland. The house ketchup kind of ruined the dish for me as well. Overall just not impressed.
I've had two fantastic dinners here and one mediocre lunch where there was no salt in the chowder (literally none) and the mussels served in the chowder were not open (not good). I struggled to open one and the smell was not good. They were inedible and should not have been served. It was very odd, since both dinners were amazing. The horrible lunch was particularly disappointing since I had recommended both the restaurant and the chowder after my first delicious dinner there. My mother was so excited to try the chowder after I told her how great it was. She was very disappointed. I felt like a liar. Nonetheless I went back for dinner months later and it was delicious. So... I really don't know what I should rate this place. When it's good, it's really good.
The boar poutine was good, although I am not sure I dig the ketchup on top of it! Beyond that, the service was fine!
Food was good. The guys drove us crazy.
Not a bad restaurant but they have some small details to iron out like unsufficient climate control during cold days and some burgers came out undercooked. Staff was nice but lacked a bit of problem handling skills concerning our issues. Overhall a good experience but some ironing out of rough edges would had made it much better. The choice of meals is nice, there is good variety and as much "cheap" food as more refined ones so everyone will be happy.
Great service, food and drinks good and solid. Need to make a return visit to try other options.
Loved it!! Definitely will return! Highly recommended
Great local beer selection, best in town for the fans of microbrews. They also have a few original menu options that are really good, like the boar poutine.
Order the burger 70 degrees. May change your life.
Excellent service and the best food in the Maritimes
Another place we came to for lunch. Great atmosphere. Will check out again next time in Moncton.
Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Very pleasant patio with a chalkboard menu of their craft beers. Had a plate of local oysters on the shell. They were excellent, but the sauces served were blah. Should have stuck my own personal fav squirt of lemon and a drop or two of Lea and Perrins. Very good service, and our server was very knowledgeable about the craft beers as well as the food menu. They smoke their own salmon, so a second visit is a must.
Got the salted caramel latte. Excellent! The perfect combination of sweetness and coffee taste. Lovely staff
Great beer, good food. Great atmosphere
Great location...incredible atmosphere and the mojitos are to die for. Love this restaurant in Downtown Moncton
Food was delicious, service was great!
Great coffee and cookies. Looks like a pub on the outside but its friendly on the inside and they are mixing it up with juices etc
Best patio in the downtown area. Atmosphere is great!
Fantastic beer selection with knowledgeable bartenders.
Great selection of craft beers. Loved the parmesan crusted haddock!
Mosquito heaven. Great place but couldn't last because of the Mosquitos
I was not told that my Hamburger would be medium rare (still pink/red). The waiter said that is the way they are it is safe, and wouldn't do anything for me. No thanks I will not be returning.
Great food great service ☺️100% would come again the next time I'm in Moncton.
Terrible service. Was charged $18 for a Hendricks dry martini. We asked our waitress for my drink three times after husband’s beer was delivered to the table.. 20 minutes after I ordered ( and 17 minutes after my husband’s beer was delivered) my husband asked the waitress for the third time if she might deliver my drink. She replied that someone would deliver it as soon as it was ready. I knew it had been ready for some time bc I had ordered a straight up gin martini which is-just a shot of gin and saw the bartender start to make it. I then walked into the restaurant and took my drink off the edge of the bar and delivered it to the table myself. I saw people cutting through doughy fried chicken. Our polenta fries were basically cornbread sticks with nothing resembling aoli . My impression of this place is that they are over rated and take advantage of tourists who flock here. Go a little further to much better places outside the tourist zone.
Had a nice dinner out on the busy patio!
Beer and French fries. Both are awesome. Can't go wrong there. You will know right away the fries are fresh cut. Salad good too. Creative dishes, but to me hit or miss. The service is great.
Not worth the money. Steak was not very good
Friendly service, good price, but very noisy .
Original unique menu...great food.
The service is excellent. We were a group of 7 and and were all served at the same time. All meals were hot and delicious. Fresh ingredients and a great beer menu. The venue they have out back is fantastic to catch a show at (thank you Red Fang for finally playing in the maritimes). Will definitely go back
My husband and I saw this on the TV show "You Gotta Eat Here" and always wanted to try it. We were in Moncton for our Aniversary so decided to go. We arrived about 4:30 and were seated right away, the restaurant only had 3 other tables occupied. Our appetiser took about 15 min. to arrive at the table which is ok but our entree took another 30 min. after we were done our appetiser. We were just about to get up and leave when she brought the plates to the table. My husbands meal was good but I ordered a steak, it tasted like it was cut from the bad end of a roast. The waitress told us the reason it took so long was because of the steak. I have cooked steak before and if done properly it should only take a few min. per side. We left the restaurant and went to McDonalds. Nice Aniversary Dinner!!! If you are hungry don't go to this restaurant, you may get served but it will take an hour for your meal to get to the table even when they are not busy. Extremely dissapointed...
A group of friends went to see Signal hill Oct 14th 2016, great band but I have to say it was so loud we all had to leave by 11h30, I had 3 set of ear plugs and we shared them but was still too loud. There is no reason to have a band play at those level. Sadly enough its not worth the damage they cause to people's ears. I hope management reads reviews.
Best fries in the city!
Food was good. Beer and service were great (thanks Sara!)
Great beer selection; the food is amazing! The boar poutine is a must-try!
Had the fried Cod & Nashville sandwich. The fried cod was tasteless. The Nashville sandwich was under cooked and pink. When we told them it was under cooked and pink, they challenged us about it. They removed the sandwich but still charged us for a small salad. Very impressed.
Tide & Boar's rep is based on their food! Thank god because service is not too great !
Unfortunately after dining here a few times our experience has been worse everytime. The food is just okay (average pub food) and the service was poor (would have had more drinks if the servers had come by more). The patio however, was very nice.
The Good: A great tap selection, with NS’s Unfiltered and Fredericton’s Trailway leading the pack. The Mediocre: The food is a solid 3.5/5. Not amazing, but not horrible. The Ugly: The service is atrocious. After watching our drinks sit on a server tray at the bar for 17 minutes, we had to go get them ourselves. And it didn’t get better from there. Unacceptable.
Great service, delicious food. The beer taps were a little repetitive. Lots of IPAs and not much else. Portion size at lunch was large!
Amazing food and amazing service. Had one of the best chicken burgers ever here. 5/5 definitely recommend.
I only had a few drinks for my first experience but I will definitely be going back. I enjoy the atmosphere and the service was great. I like this place.
Food was good, place was nice and clean... had a great feel to it. Prices are steep,
First visit. Did not expect much. Got excellent food (haddock for me, cod for wife). Optional Boar & Tide salad - excellent, polenta side also excellent. Try it out, there is more on menu-expect you will find same quality throughout.
Cocktail frozen rosé was sublime. The haddock was excellent.
Great food in the heart of downtown Moncton!!!
Nice place, good service and great food. Happy to give 5 stars.
Great food and outdoor seating. They advertise as a brewery but on our visit they only had one homebrew available.
Always great food and good service. Never fails to meet my expectations.
Great food, hipster atmosphere, decent service, 20-30$ plate avg. Price
Veggie big mac is the best
Great food! Had dinner on the patio after a long day on the road. Nice service, good selection of beers.
Always amazing. Great beer and food. By far the best beer selection in Moncton and very knowledgeable servers.
Seafood chowder should have showcased seafood and not small potatoes cut in half. Hamburger was very tasty, but the fries were mostly small crunchy bits.service was friendly and prompt.
Great food. I got the ribs and there outstanding. Huge portion
Delicious food, speed of serving staff could improve
Amazing food! Great staff. Boar poutine, haddock and tide salad some of our favourites
This is not my first time here, though the first time we've been seated in the lower level. Usually, we come for the outdoors. Now patio season has ended so we come indoors...the food and service are Aone as usual, the the lower dining area quite cozy. The basement is ginormous. Beyond the dining area, is a huge hall...to be explored another day. I understand this is where live entertainment is sometimes offered. We'll be back.
Great food all around, had the seafood chowder and shared the boar board. Incredible!
Great food and drinks. Prices are a bit high. Outdoor patio is awesome in the summer.
Excellent beer selection (best in town for a restaurant in my opinion) and the food is always great. Service is good and staff is friendly. Menu changes every while so you can always come back to try new things, but some classics stay on the menu permanently. Great place for a relaxing meal!
The smoked brisket was to die for. The smokey flavor was a perfect combo to the BBQ sauce. Good selection of beers.
The cod was under-cooked like white jelly in places. The french frys were small little pieces that should havs been thrown out! Not impressed!
Overpriced and the service wasn't great. But the ambiance was fantastic.
Unique food and tasty, ie. Suckled pig for winter menu. They have seasonal menu's. They are strong believers in making everything from scratch. One of the best burgers in Moncton. Have a nice varied selection of craft beers and standard on tap. Well worth it for their price point. Main meal varies from 15 - 30 dollars.
This place is great! Great food, coffee and atmosphere ! Can't wait to go back
A pleasure as always! Being able to sit outside is fantastic. Food and drink were great. Maybe a little more focus on the coffee would be good.
My wife and I go here almost weekly during the warmer months. A staple in dining for us. Always quality food. Always a great atmosphere.
A bit pricey, but nice atmosphere and great draft selection.
Great job with Trivia on Tuesday night.
Good food and service. Fantastic craft beer selection!
Good quality pub food, relaxed atmosphere, great beer.
Saw a band play. Was good, drinks are much too expensive though.
Got the tide and boar starter the oysters were the smallest ones they could find and the mussels weren't fresh the pickled paste was good. The bread was not fresh and the boar was 90% fat. The other meats were pretty good. Overall not a fair serving for the price but quick service.
Love the brisket burger and the beer selection is great
The food was excellent, however it was on the pricier side.
Great service and always a wonderful range of beverages to chose from...
Delicious food. One of the best beer selections in Moncton. Great service.
Great beer lineup of local craft brews and other beers that are harder to find around here. It isn't a large menu, but the food quality is good and consistent.
Food was good. Atmosphere was nice. Service was terrible. After waiting 30 minutes to be served our waitress took our order and then didn't come back until she was looking to get paid. After another 40 minutes some other guy brought our food. We tried twice to order extra drinks and the guys said "ill tell your server". Either they didn't tell her or she didn't care. She didn't come back anyway.
My friend and I were visiting from Ontario and we decided to stop here on our way home. The set up is nice and the menu sounds good. When we were seated, my friend went to the bathroom and we were not greated by our server, not given water. When my friend returned, the hostess who had seated us, came back and immediately asked us for our IDs, assuming we were ordering drinks at one in the afternoon. When she checked our IDs and saw that we were both above the age of 25, and much older than herself, she was embarrassed and told the other waitresses what she had done and everyone she told would look over and giggle. We felt immediately uncomfortable but decided to stay anyways. We order la salade niçoise, the crab dip and 6 oysters. The oysters were delicious, the crab dip was okay, but the salad was covered in corse sea salt. We had a terrible experience.
Great location and selection. Nice choice of locally designed shirts too.
Wasn’t overly impressed with the food
What a burger! Just the way I like it. Now and friendly staff, providing great service. Go there, you won't regret it.
Great restaurant and pub in Moncton. Food was very good and atmosphere is what you want in a pub.
Food was delicious, definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu
We have a monthly lunch set up there...always great service and the food is delicious! Looking forward to our next get together!
Incredible food, great service, comfortable atmosphere. Can't wait to come back!
This is cute little cafe down the street. Their pilot coffee is strong and amazing, definitely worth trying. The server was polite and helped with choosing the right coffee powder for home. Will go again, for sure.
The food was overpriced, the waiter basically only came to our table to take our order and to have us pay. Not worth it...
Good food and their beers are very good. Had my first sour beer and enjoyed it immensely! Above all the service was outstanding! Warm and welcoming and patient! I would highly recommend.
Absolutely hands down BEST house salad EVER!! The atmosphere was nice, service was excellent, food was extraordinary.. I highly recommend this place!!
The stars goes for the great service and only that!! I order the ribs, since it was the last weekend of the bbq. The ribs was WAYY too smoky, my finger was literally smelling like i was on the side of a camp fire and taste what it was smelling! To that point i was rather of taking a bite out of a the wood in the camp fire itself. Really not impressed! But hey, it came with some mac & cheese and that was great???? but if i only wanted mac & cheese i could of got a box of KD!! Definitely didn't worth the price and won't go there again. P.s. sorry for the writing, im french????????♂️
Visited with friends and all enjoyed. Would recommend the beer battered cod and house salad. Others had their burger and enjoyed that as well. Others ordered the flat bread and were disappointed with flavour and value.
Best craft beer selection in Moncton and great live music!
Way over priced charged 22 bucks for 2 singles of whiskey sours rip off its half that any other bar in the area
Excellent service, great food and drinks, Nice terrasse
Was back in town for business and thought it try out the tide and boar this time. Was here on a Friday evening. Very busy but there was room at the bar. The staff were fantastic! They were attentive but very busy. Its a shame they didn't have a bit more time to interact with the customers. The beer selection was unique and very large. Was happy to find a red ale to my liking. I had the boar ravioli. The pasta portion was delicious and the boar was well prepared. My only negative was the pricing. I thought it was a bit elevated for the portion sizes and/or the type of dishes served. All in all would recommend to anybody looking to try some different and unique dishes.
Great food and great staff. The seafood chowder was the best we had in 5 days of eating it other places for lunch and dinner. The boar board was also incredible.
We had the BBQ last night. It was amazing
Standard food, great atmosphere and location.
I love a great sandwitche, they have 3 meat and 1 veggie (vegan?) options that change every weekdays.
Good spot! Fried brussel sprouts shown.
Great food, great atmosphere. Started with the all dressed chips, great flavour! The boar poutine was so so yummy! The drink and beer selection is diverse and so tasty!
Best place to have lunch or dinner in Moncton! Been there 3 times in my travels and will be going back! Highly suggest the burger and make it a boar Poutine as your side. Cheers
Love the food !! The TB salad and smoked salmon is to die for...soooo good and fresh wow !!!
The Tide and Boar restaurant has a great location in down town Moncton with friendly staff and good food. It is one of your pricier options in the greater Moncton are but not much more than your typical restaurants.
Where to start. The staff, the food, the atmosphere. 5-Stars across the board.
Coffee and Breakfast was amazing! I wanted to go back the next day!
We had the tide charcuterie board...and it was amaziballs. There was smoked salmon, haddock mousse, pickled ramps and fiddled heads, turmeric onions, dulse spread, and fresh oysters along with homemade crackers. You need to try this board! The chicken was great as well, crunchy and flavorful, big portion and had the t and b salad with it. I wanted to go back there for lunch but we have to leave for PEI.
A very disappointing experience. Started with lipstick on my water glass. Took over 45 minutes for food to arrive, when it finally arrived it was not the correct order. Back to the kitchen to wait further. My appetizer showed up up after my main course was half finished. Service was awful and almost disrespectful from our server, she seemed like she could care less. Go somewhere else in downtown Moncton.
Great draft beer selection .. great place to sit outside and have a tasty meal and or beverage
Fish was excellent. Not too much batter, always makes the difference. The chowder was worth it as well. Local beer selection is good. Nice vibe and large place. Worth a visit if you are staying in the delta near by! Service was super quick and staff all friendly.
My favorite place on the east coast.. food is great
Fantastic food, service was a little slow.
Excellent gastro pub with fresh smoked BBQ daily and vast beer selection.
Stopped in for a glass of wine. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. Would go there again to try their craft lager
Awesome flights of beer and super cool atmosphere. Servers were all friendly. Had the vegan "Big Mac" and chowder and they were great. Everyone in our party liked their food and the atmosphere.
One of the better places to eat in Moncton.
AWESOME. Loved it. Goog food, good beer amazing staff. Go there
The third bar we hit after the family reunions surprised we even got served there but it was an awesome atmosphere
Friendly service, good food. Their signature salad is fantastic!
Porkbelly was overly salty, boar purine was disappointing, gravy was not seasoned
Good stuff they were on you gotta eat here
Excellent donut and coffee!!
