It took over an hour to receive our food. The food was really disappointing, especially for the price point. The Alfredo tasted like canned soup, and the portion was mediocre. The best part was the bread. Everyone felt just "meh" about their food. None of us plan on going back anytime soon.

Compared to other chain restaurants, and many private ones, Moxie's sets a standard. The decor, lighting, seating, music and service is a perfect blend for casual dining or an intimate dinner. My experience was only short from excellent because both the calamari and steak, despite being well seasoned and cooked, reminded me more of decent home-cooked barbeque, than the classy-restaurant food expected, given all the other top-notch qualities.

A very modern bar & grill with great service and ambiance. The honey garlic steak was very tender and delicious. For the price you pay the amount of food could be increased just a little I think. The beer choices were great and the service was prompt even though the place was quite full. We've been here twice this summer and no complaints. We'll be visiting again to try out more of the menu.

Very modern and amazing atmosphere. Food was top notch!! Best cream of mushroom soup I have ever eaten. Service was good with a few issues, the bartender/waitress had wonderful smelling perfume, but was so strong that you could smell it 20 feet away. When we finished our meal and the table was cleared, it took almost 25 minutes to get our bill. We asked to have our remaining food boxed up to go and they did not include the hot sauce that was offered and did not include our fries as asked (Fries are amazing by the way). I was a little upset by this as the "Blackened Shrimp Tacos" are $17.50. The last thing that made us think "what the heck!" was the fact that they were out of Nachos!!!!!! I have never been to a restaurant that has ran out of Nachos before. All in all we will be back because there are many more menu items that we would love to try.

I'm a big fan of Moxie's, I've frequented them across the country. The food we had was fantastic. One of the better meals I've had there. The service was ok. The girl was nice but I expect a little more experience and polish from Moxie's servers.

Terrible! Gone down hill by a lot. We have ordered New York steaks every week for about a year and were pleased until tonight . Portions are smaller snd when I called I was fed a line . Didn't care about reality and was fed the corporate line about consistency which is not true . Quality has diminished for sure and we will never order from Moxies again

Honestly, I don't feel there's anything to complain about with moxie's. Food is great, service is great, speed is good! We had a bit of a wait when we went but I feel they do have ample seating available - it's just a busy spot because it's a great place! Their mosaic dip is amazing with pita bread!!! Great portion sizes too!

First time trying out Moxie's. I've seen it driving by so many times. Service was great. Food was sub par for what I was expecting. The Greek wrap was dry and bland. The potatoes were soggy and tasteless. I'll most likely not visit this establishment again.

I was disappointed by my visit this time around. I got the bruschetta with the whipped feta and it was nothing like I had expected. The tomatoes were whole and I had to mash them up myself in the dish to then spread on the bread myself. It was messy and frustrating to say the least. The whipped feta was extremely salty as well and also needed to be spread on the bread. It was more work than an appetizer should be. My partners fries were under cooked and the burger was just a thin, small, plain patty that was not what you would expect for the price. Although the service was good, the food and experience was disappointing. Also, they used the COVID name and phone number list to then send my partner a text message within 5 minutes of sitting down in the restaurant and there was no line up to wait although that was why they were sending the message. That information is to be used ONLY for tracking purposes for COVID and NOT for businesses to gain clientele. It was highly inappropriate!

Way overpriced for the poor service, bland food, poorly made drinks. I have been there multiple times, and somehow it hasnt gotten any better. I had to send back steak 3 times because they couldnt cook it medium-rare. Thr first one was almost burnt, i asked the waitress to take it back and she rolled her eyes, sighed, and grabbed the plate from me. Second steak was almost burnt yet again, the same snobby little thing was even more rude and said "you should just eat the damn thing" the third one came out just shy of blue rare. Yet again she very unwillingly brought it back, they finally got it right after everyone else had already ate at the table. Even worse she asked how big her tip would be.... AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

My boyfriend and I decided to take his father out to dinner at this location. We have been returning customers to this place a few times now. But after our recent dinner we will no longer be putting our money into this restaurant. My boyfriend and I decided to order a stick him being the ribeye mind being I believe it was the 7 ounce. I asked for my steak to be rare and my boyfriend asked for medium. When we received our meals my boyfriend cut into his steak and realized that it was beyond red it was more rare than my own steak. I waved for the waitress to come over to see if we could get the steak cooked a bit more. The waitress then asked if we wanted the steak we had to just get put on the grill or if we want it just a new steak. My boyfriend said Doesn’t matter I would just like a steak I’m pretty hungry. The waitress then went to the kitchen to have a crook make a new steak. 20 to 30 minutes went by my father-in-law and myself have finished our meals which I even offered my boyfriend most of my potatoes. His steak finally came out again wasn’t medium and ate his steak anyways because he was hungry and had already gone almost half hour without eating while we sat and ours. When we requested the bill the waitress came over and informed us that they did us a favour and had one of his two steaks removed from the bill. I thought I heard it in correct so when the waitress left I looked at the bill, they had remove the steak that they did not cook properly And replaced it with a new one and decided to as a favour instead of charging us for two steaks(3 in total) both mind you again we’re not properly cooked they have removed one. Which I was confused. So if they did not do that said as a favour they were actually have charged us for the steak that they did not cooked properly? To even think a restaurant would charge a customer for something that was on fault of the restaurants boggles my mind. Not to mention 2 hours for our meal. Two steak dinners and a hamburger would take so long and so difficult to handle. I really wish this restaurant the and correct the way they handle things

This place surprised me. I thought it was much more upscale than it was. I would say it's a step above Boston Pizza for being fancy. The prices weren't as high either, pretty reasonable. Especially considering the quality of the food. Monday is wing night and they are 59 cents a wing, pretty good deal. I had 30 for around $20 tax in including a club soda. They are a smaller size wing but they are realllyy tasty. Not just over cooked or over breaded. Great flavor. Overall, great service, great food, don't need to dress fancy if you don't want to and still fit in.

My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch on a stop in Moncton while travelling from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia to St. Stephen, New Brunswick, our choice of restaurant was based on the Tripadvisor reviews. We are so glad we did this. We have enjoyed their menu! My wife ordered the ribs and I got the fish. Each dish was cooked to perfection and very tasty. We both enjoyed our meals very much, and the fresh bread was delicious. Service was very good. Moxie's was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Perfect supper and drinks spot between an early Casino visit and hitting the bars downtown. ???? We always hit Moxie's in Moncton. Great apps and handhelds. Awesome, classy interior design on the bar side. And they care a great deal about gluten allergies and those with Celiacs. They send the manager out to take care of you specifically. That means a lot to many people in my group.

Family dinner was enjoyed by all. Hostess was less than friendly but the server made up for it. We all tried new items, except my husband who is in love with the Moxie burger. My daughters both loved their food. I was a little disappointed with the cut and cooking of the steak on my steak sandwich but I find that's common in restaurants that offer steak sandwiches and steak dinners, always go for the dinner if your fussy about a steak.

My boyfriend and I are regular customers at Moxie's and come at least once every couple weeks to enjoy their steak specials. The foods great, but I did not enjoy the customer service when I came for a birthday dinner and then the next time I came either. I had ordered a drink on my birthday and had never recieved it. I mentioned that to one of the managers, she apologized and so did I just to advise that one of the lady's I had asked for the drink I had never got it. The next time I came which was the other night, I had told the server about what had happened the last time I came. She sent over a different manager and I explained that I never got a drink and was hoping I'd get one to make up for it. They told me they can't help me out with that at all and I'd still have to pay for another drink anyway. As far as I remember I had paid for a drink and never got it, so I'm not too happy about that for a birthday dinner.

Had a beef nacho 22$ ~ tasted really nice and the serving size was nice for the price but it wasn't as warm as I'd have liked when served. (we were a group of 6, not that large of a group for food to come out room temperature) The waiters/waitresses checkup only for the purpose of having checked. Once they check one time immediately after the food is served, they don't afterwards so the free refills are more like no refills... maybe you're meant to holler at them? (Placing empty drink at the edge of the table does not attract their attention) Overall not quite worth the price. Staff was friendly.

It was nicely packaged & every dish was labeled.They have many options to choose from, so there is something for everyone! High quality food! Lovely ambience, visited for mother's day. Excellent service from our server Ty (Tyler), he gave us detailed descriptions and recommendations on menu items. He constantly checked to ensure we were enjoying our meals and was finding everything okay. Didn't have to wait long for our meals, and the meals were delicious. We ordered the calamari, salmon, ribs and blackened chicken burger. We were certainly not disappointed, best ribs I've had in town, soft juicy and delicious. We will definitely be returning.

Dropped by during the summer months. The restaurant wasn’t busy which was great as it was during the super time; however, the server did forget to enter our appetizer into the order. The time of order to the time of when our meal was short, so we didn’t have to wait a long time; however, when we mentioned it, we were offered to have it now or if we simply wanted to have it removed from bill. We opted to have it removed as we did end up receiving our main course. When we did receive our bill, our server had removed the app as promised and he also gave us a free appetizer for the next visit. Overall, the experience was very good!

Had to order a glass of wine from I believe was the manager. Overall service was awful, waitress was non attentive or existing. We did get a free dessert to make up for it. We'll it didn't. Bad service, bad food. Never again.

Moxie's is a solid choice for a casual meal. The menu options are standard and similar to comparator restaurants. They nicely offered a gluten conscious menu for someone in our group who has celiac disease. They also were aware of issues for cross contamination and gave suggestions for alternative options. The service was pleasant and attentive, but not hovering. The night we went was busy and we had a moderate sized party (6). Appetizers came in a timely manner. It took longer than we would have liked to receive our mains, but the food was hot and cooked to order. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would go again.

Pleasantly surprised when I found out it was wing night, ordered wings with sweet thai chili sauce and they were great. Had the half rack of ribs and they very tender. I had a good beer and liked the decor. But the food was extremely disappointing. The beef vindaloo should not be named that, it should be named "pepper bowl" because it is basically a bowl of peppers with chili sauce on it, only a few tiny pieces of beef and no real curry sauce. The naan bread that came with it was basically plain pita bread. I know this is not an Indian restaurant, but this seemed like a joke. The service was also rather poor and inattentive. I don't plan on returning.

We hadn't been to a Moxie's since we left Calgary. A young man greeted us at the door and the hostess seated us promptly in the dining room. Vanessa N. was our server and did a fabulous job all night looking after us. The calamari was sensational as a starter and my steak was to die for with the accompanying sauce. The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken burger and it came out nice and juicy and had some spice to it. The server was very nice and knew the products very well when we asked questions about them and did a really good job recommending what we should get for dessert. She was also friendly the whole time and checked in to see how we were doing a of couple times. The portion size is fair and you get your money’s worth. It was a great atmosphere inside too. It was relaxing and comfortable. Will definitely reconsider going back.

Appetizers were incredibly, my steak was slightly over cook (unfortunately switched another parties steak with mine, easy mistake) but staff went out and beyond to make sure I was happy with my meal by making me another one... they are awesome! Compared to other chain restaurants, and many private ones, Moxie's sets a standard. The decor, lighting, seating, music and service is a perfect blend for casual dining or an intimate dinner. My experience was only short from excellent because both the calamari and steak, despite being well seasoned and cooked, reminded me more of decent home-cooked barbeque, than the classy-restaurant food expected, given all the other top-notch qualities.

Well tonight was Moxie night! Had the rustic margarita pizza with some sweet potato fries and the fries are to die for while the pizza needed about 2 extra minutes in the wood fired oven to bring in all the flavours which it was unfortunately missing! Had a nice glass of white wine to accompany the meal and finished off with my favorite after dinner drink An Old Fashion! I can honestly say it was truly a well made drink which made the whole night so much better! BTW when the bartender say she loves Old Fashion and it most likely her favorite you can expect it will be well done! People just because it is called an Old Fashion does not mean it is not good try it you may find it will become your go to drink!

Came to celebrate my birthday there, while making the reservation the hostess was very polite, she even asked me our reason for reservation but when we came even though the restaurant was not much busy, the hostess was in a hurry, the first thing which we were told is that we were about to close and they want us to place our order instantly, if this is the case then why we weren't informed earlier about it when we were making the reservation, i think we sat there for almost 45 minutes n within that period of time we were almost remined 4 to 5 times that restaurant is closing. I can understand that everyone has to go home after a tiring shift but you don't have to remind again n again this thing to your customer, on top of that it was my birthday, n our dinner got spoiled.. if i knew about this earlier then i would have never come or I would have changed the time of my reservation. I don't want to comment on food taste as we already lost our appetite in that HURRY.

As well, this is not a family restaurant. So I would recommend this for people trying to find a good place for a romantic or business dinner.

Bitchy waitress didn't get our orders right and never came back to check on us. She was huddled at the bar with her friends and texting on her phone. We complained to a manager and were told somebody would call us the next day. No phone call or any other communication.

if i could i wouldn't give it any stars got a raw burger 3 times in a row and when it finally came back cooked their was so much seasoning you couldn't even taste the meat ended up not eating it at all. My girlfriend her got the fish and chip the fish was still cold the first time then the second one we got her plate was full of grease and when asked the waiter to take it back she rolled her eyes probably because she couldn't play on her cell phone anymore. it was our first time their and will never go back, horrible all around

Been to a few Moxie's in Ontario over the past couple years, and those have been typically 4 star experiences. This Moxie's is different. It is a 5 star experience!! The bathrooms are clean and luxurious. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, helpful and great servers!! Highly recommend this restaurant. It is a classy bar ????
