Had a lovely time here with my mother! All the staff, from the waiter, to the manager, and other employees were absolutely amazing. We tried the Koshary and it did not disappoint. I was surprised why I never came here before but now I will surely be coming back and bringing my friends. Great staff, food, atmosphere, and menu- egyptian cuisine and hospitality at its finest. The prices are also very reasonable, highly recommend coming to Masrawy and can't wait to come again!

We were told by a friend to visit this restaurant and we weren’t disappointed. The Masrawy Fusion is delicious and they are generous with the meat and portion size. It would be good to feed two people. The second dish we got was the Mama’s Molekheya (mallow lead slow cooked in chicken broth). It was also very good but I would suggest this dish would need an acquired taste. The staff are also very friendly here. I would suggest ordering ahead of time if you are doing takeout as it can get busy and also they seem to cook everything fresh.

Without a doubt the best and most authentic Egyptian restaurant in Toronto. The staff were absolutely wonderful and very friendly. Made our large group of friends feel very welcome. The design and ambience of the restaurant is also well put together. The food quality and authenticity is quite honestly unparalleled. I highly recommend Mama's Molekheya and the Hawaoshi (spicy).

I recently had dinner at the Masrawy Egyptian Kitchen. It was a wonderful experience. Everything was great about my visit and I would rate my experience at a 10 out of 10. The atmosphere was authentic, the service was great, and the food was exceptional. I would recommend the Hawawshi dish (meat stuffed pita) and Umm Ali for dessert. The Moe Saleh coffee was strong and full of flavour. I also found prices to be quite reasonable. Mohammad Saleh, the owner, made us feel at home. I would absolutely go again.

The food is great as always. The masrawy fusion and the tamaya are better than anything I have ever had in an egyptian restaurant and I have been to egypt. Having eaten there for years now, my only problem is that they reduced their quantities unexpectedly instead of increasing the price instead but the food more than makes up for it

If you are looking for truly "Authentic" Egyptian food (no fusions or desi spices) you have to check this place out. The ambience is stunning and the food is even better. I had a handful of favorites from that night and one of them was their main dish called Hawaoshi. One can consider it a minced lamb sandwich, but it’s so much more than that. The sandwich is roasted in a wood oven that crisps the bread so well, you would swear it was deep-fried. The flavour of the mince though mild is very harmonious with their bread. So, so good. FYI, this is not your regular Desi minced lamb. You gotta leave ur Desi tastebuds at home when you try these dishes to truly appreciate and give them the respect they deserve for their distinctive flavours. I love this place! Excellent service and delicious food. We tried the Koshary, Bashamel, Mumbar and they all tasted great. The place is nicely decorated and is clean. The staff are very friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend it and will be coming back to try more of their food for sure.

What a beautiful restaurant! Our waitress was very nice when we ordered the kofta half rice and fries on the waitress suggestion with falafel. The falafels were delicious and hot. When the kofta was served another waiter came with the plates. He had one of each. When he said it didn't come half fries and rice. We just said we would split it ourself. That was a little weird because the waitress offered that as an option. The kofta was a little over cooked for me but very good with a little hot sauce that the waitress said was home made. Overall it was a good meal with a generous serving.

The first worst thing that they are not following COVID 19 screening procedures This place on high risk of exposing COVIS 19 infected person. Wish there is negative Star to select, my selection is -5 Starts. Lady floor staff has no respect for customers, after assigning table she disappear for ever. 2 glass container to drink water for 5 guests, no cutlery. They are not prepared for weekend load. Clear Mismanagement can be noticed while you enter in. Bill is not provided just charging machine with total amount. Other than all bad food is excellent I will recommend for take out only to feel respectful yourself.

What an amazing experience! When you enter the restaurant you are welcomed by a magnificent setting, with the decor that takes you to Egypt. Mohamed was so easy to deal with and we left the selection of food up to him as this was our first time trying Egyptian Food. All the dishes he suggested were so mouth watering, we wish we knew about it earlier. You can tell the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home-made food and they used best quality ingredients. The prices are reasonable and Mohamed gave us service with a smile and made us feel like family. What more can you want. We will definitely be eating there again ... and again.

The chances of this happening are supposed to be little to none. But the fact we both found hairs makes me think how much more hair is really in your dishes...

A great taste of back home. Egyptian Cuisine is quite different from any other arab cuisine so for example, if you expect a Lebanese style Shawerma that you are used to, you won't find it here. But try theirs its awesome. For Egyptians, this place has everything even molokeya and karkade drink. The Koshari is the best you will find in the GTA ( very few places have them) Also the decor and ambience of the place is amazing. Wish them the best of luck.

We had a very pleasant breakfast at 10am on Saturday. We were promptly seated and scanned the barcode for the menus. The food was colorful and in generous portions. The bread was so soft and fresh. I especially enjoyed the Fava bean dish (Ful Madames) as they made it just how I asked (with extra garlic). This coupled with the cup of tea with fresh mint leaves, Mo Salah Coffee and Turkish coffee... I was in heaven. My wife kept stealing sips from my cups and the kids' Mango juice despite her tall Mint Lemonade being refreshing (yes I stole a sip from her). This is going to be where I take my sister's family out next time.

I was really excited to try this place based off of its fantastic reviews, and although the food was decent, the service was absolutely awful. We came on a Sunday around 4pm, the place was bumping. We ended up being seated beside this long table with about 10 women on one side and 10 children on the other side. This is where our experience begins. 1) we waited around 20-30mins for our server to come to our table and take our orders. His first words, "Sorry there's a large party here, it's so busy! Really sorry!" I appreciate that he recognized the wait. 2) I had requested to be moved, because the children were quite loud. He said he would ask... he forgot to ask about the table change, we brushed it off. 3) The appetizer came and we quickly ran out of water. After waiting and waiting he finally comes and asked if we needed anything. We requested water. He forgot. I'm pretty irritated at this point. 4) after another long wait, we flag him and request water again, He apologizes and says, "oh yes i forgot, it's so busy with this party here. I'll get it right away." We finally had more water. 5) Our meat platter arrived, but we'd like a spoon to better serve the rice between our party of 4. We are again waiting patiently for our server to make an appearance. At this point one of us GETS UP and finds someone to get a spoon. No more waiting for non-existent service. 6) To our dismay we run out of garlic and tahini sauce. We know by now we can’t depend on waiting for our server, so another one of us gets up, finds him, and asks HIM for it. He said he would bring it to us. We had little faith. It never came. We had to get up a SECOND TIME to find someone to get us more sauce. Our server finally comes over with the extra sauce and the same excuse, "I'm so sorry I forgot, it's so busy with this party here." I couldn't stand anymore excuses about the party of 10 adults and 10 children being prioritized over our own experience. If it was too much to handle, I would have preferred not being seated at all, or in another section with another server who had more bandwidth. Perhaps we were just really unlucky, in the wrong place at the wrong time, but I won't take anymore chances on this place. I would not recommend dining-in to anyone. Get take out, the food is decent.

All I can say is WOW!! I eat there or order takeout almost every other week and the food always tastes great and has very good portions. Their Masrawy fusion and Fatta are my favourite. I went there for a late lunch today with my parents and it was very busy with many large groups. They were probably overwhelmed and so our food took a pretty long time to get served and didn’t all come at the same time - although it still tasted great. I know many restaurants are short staffed and dealing with all the readjustments that have been thrown their way due to Covid so it wasn’t that big of a deal. However, at the end, the owner came to apologize and offered to pay for the WHOLE MEAL. It was so generous and so beyond extraordinary customer service that I couldn’t believe it!! On top of that, he made us delicious coffees - the “Mo Salah coffee”. I 100% recommend trying that. All in all, I definitely recommend trying this place and will keep coming back!

Good service & food. One definite improvement required is a signage to inform guests to order at the front counter. We waited a little at the table before being told to go & order first but next to us was a couple who waited 20 minutes for the waiter to come to take order & then were told to go & order at which point owner came to them & offered apologised for confusion & offered dinner on the house. Not easy to give 5 stars for a restaurant... But Masrawy get it so easily. No waiting for a table and the food served in an acceptable time. The menu was so nice and creative, the food was very delicious and the sweet specially Om-Ali. The Turkish coffee was tasty. I can say it's the best Arabic restaurant in GTA. Honestly, the washroom was very clean and tidy. I won't forget the wonderful Egyptian decorations and the way they serving the food. For the staff, they are welcoming you by the door and serve you with a smile on there face especially (MALAK) was the best she was very friendly with me, my wife and my daughter. For families it's a quiet place to listen to an Arabic music and enjoy the taste. Parking lot is very important and it's available easily. Good luck and thank you for the unforgettable experience in your restaurant.

Chicken was good but rest of the food was alright. nothing special to go back for. However service was not as expected. Waiters can't keep up with the busy tables. We were group of 6 and payed seperatly. There was no service but the waiter automatically added 18% tip automatically to our bill. I find this to be odd and unusual. I would understand if there was service and we wouldn't have to find someone to give us a menu and then take our order. Edited: I was contacted by the restaurant and they apologized for the error on their system. It was resolved and they decided to refund me. I was told that their system changed and they are working in improving their services, etc. However, we agreed to put the money in donation for a good cause. I really appreciate the gesture and care put into resolving this matter.

Before the service was great but now it's getting worse and worse. Food is still good but service is awful. They charge me twice on same table and on phone they told me that they can accomodate me a table of five in max 15 minutes but then i invited people and couldn't take a table for an hour and we were waiting outside in cold weather. I was there last Thursday in the morning. It was my first time to visit the place. It’s a clean restaurant and it’s well maintained. I ordered Foul, Flafel, Eggs with Basterma and fries. Honestly, it was a great experience! The food was delicious and the serving portions were pretty good! The Egyptian bread was amazing and fresh. They play a good collection of new Egyptian songs . Ordered the chicken tikka.. was super impressed with all aspects of the dish. The rice was perfectly seasoned and tasted creamy and flavourful. The chicken was juicy but but also had a great charred taste. They give you a healthy portion of aioli and even the side salad was great! Will definitely be returning!

Came here with a group of people from work and we had a great experience overall. The portions here are on the large side so you definitely get your money's worth. For starters we ordered the Chef's Plate and everything was delicious and flavourful served with fresh, warm bread. I had ordered Koshary as I don't eat meat and I enjoyed it. I had enough food leftover to eat the following day as an entire meal! My only suggestion for this restaurant would be to have another veggie option for the main courses. The inside of the restaurant it beautifully decorated and our server was very informative and kind. Will definitely be coming back!

Masrawy Egyptian Kitchen - 5/5 $$ - wow what a restaurant! Amazing food- for mains we had Masrawy Fusion, Hawaoshi and Molekheya and each one was seasoned beautifully, and unique in its own right. Dessert was equally scrumptious we had Kunafa, Basbusa and Om Ali, and their signature Mo Salah coffee (this’ll keep you awake all night). The owner is super friendly who lit up an already bright and elegant restaurant and made our visit extra special.

In my case, my longing, my nostalgia harkens back to the sights, sounds, smells and tastes and the aura of the cuisine of the bride of the Mediterranean, the beautiful coastal city of Alexandria. Oh how I loved going to the sandwich shops like Moemen, Cook Door, the Koshari eateries, family restaurants specializing in meat like Abdel Wahab, Balbaa or Abo Rawia. At these restaurants, one can enjoy the dishes of the masses, the most central dishes of Egyptian popular food culture. That said, I was full of anticipation ahead of a visit to Masrawy Egyptian Kitchen with all those faded visions of Egyptian treats coming back into focus. What a warm welcome from Viola and her frontline staff I met at the counter just under the overhead menu listing all kinds of delightful options to choose from, that I remembered oh so well. After a number of visits, we’ve been able to tuck into a variety of pickings. The kofta – two grilled skewers of minced meat mixed with seasoning – served in a soft baguette was delicious. We also had hawaoshi – pita bread stuffed with minced meat, onions, peppers and spices baked to perfection – reminding me of days when I went with my Auntie Fatma to the neighbourhood fourn in Alexandria for a crispy finish to what we had prepared at home. The masrawy salata was prepared just like Tataa Souad with a healthy generous helping of a mix of cucumber, tomato, onion, green pepper, olive oil and lemon. To top it off, we washed down our meal with a fresh lemon and mint drink reminiscent of those evenings sitting on the ‘balacona’ in the bustling seaside neighbourhood of Bahari. Kan yam gameel – what wonderful days they were that Masraway Kitchen was able to bring back for us. Sometimes on occasion, it can be hit and miss with respect to the excellency one can come to expect at this family dining location. On one occasion, we had been told that were we to dine in we could have duck and baram an Egyptian rice treat -, but on a return visit the much-anticipated whetted appetite was met with disappointment as we were told those items are not served. The mombar is presented a lot differently than what we are used to seeing done in Egypt. Perhaps the preparation is done for the sake of convenience, but we are used to a much moister crispy finish that what we experienced. The stuffed grape leaves were a bit of disappointment, but hey perhaps it was an off day when we had them that day. Overall, you get a pretty good representation of Egyptian popular food culture there.

Tried this place yesterday and I cannot be happier.. the food is flavourful and service was friendly .. the ambience was such a memorable experience with lovey decor and nostalgic music I ordered hawawshi which is meat patty’s with spices in an Egyptian style bread, make sure to have it with pickle and hot sauce. And tamieh an Egyptian edition of falafel, it has no chickpeas just fava beans, dip it in tahini sauce and take a hot tea sip. Sensational ! My friend ordered a Kushari which is an Egyptian famous dish of lentils , pasta , chickpeas, crips onion and loads of vinegar and hot sauce. Only for brave foodies who love to challenge their pallets And ended it up with Um ali , it was not the best yet it would be the sweet finale for a lovely meal Thank you masrawi team .. coming back so soon

I'm 9 months pregnant and was craving Arabic food from back home like crazy so I got to know about this place from ads on bus and immediately researched it! And true to it's word, every dish was tasty and just what I was hoping to taste from Egyptian food. The Fatta which is slow cooked lamb dish on a bed of rice and crispy fried bread below and Umme Ali was just perfect and their portion sizes are big so me and my husband couldn't even finish eating it all! The owner Mohammed even came to my table to check if everything was good. A must go to place for fine dining and if you want a taste of Egypt.

A friend recommended this place. We will definitely go back. This place gets 5 stars because they allowed my friend to sit and wait for the rest of the party for about 30-40mins. This restaurant is quite busy and almost any other restaurant would not have allowed this. Hassan was our waitor and did a good! We ordered the ground beef and beef kebabs,1 with rice and 1 with fries. I enjoyed the rice it had a nice flavour but the fries were really good. The ground beef kebab was good but the beef kebab was delicious!! My salad could used a little salt but lesa sodium is a good thing. The smells that was coming from the food of everyone around us....just made us want to try more food. I saw a couple sitting beside us and they were eating a sandwich and it just looked so good! Do go visit and enjoy the great food!

First time eating Egyptian cuisine. Oh boy, what an experience. Full house on weekday, had to wait a while to be seated and served. Absolutely worth the wait. Dishes were tasty, diverse and very, very good. We ordered 5 dishes and the restaurant was kind enough to offer some free dips. Food tasted delicious. It was unique, very different from the hundreds of Middle Eastern restaurants like Paramount that taste generic. Best part of the experience was the service. Guy who took our order and helped us was very kind, constantly checking on us, giving advice on what to order and overall great person (might have been the manager?). Restaurant has great ambiance as well, good place to invite guests. Very busy and active atmosphere. Lastly, the prices are very reasonable for the portions you get. $70-80ish for a very heart meal for 5 adults with plenty of leftovers. Overall, amazing restaurant and will come back.

Food was ok. Generally speaking some of the plates on the menu were amazing but some were just awful. Service wasn't the best. A lot of workers walking around doing nothing looking disturbingly unprofessional. Food took way too long to come even though they weren't as busy as usual. Tables were sticky and washrooms were extremely dirty and very hazardous due to amount of water on the ground. Overall, not a good experience.

Authentic cuisine from around the world is what I love most about Mississauga. My father was born in Cairo Egypt and to find a place that makes everything we grew up on only minutes from home is a blessing. The only thing better than the food was the staff. Multiple waiting staff all worked together beautifully to make sure we had everything we wanted all night. I suggest you order a bit of everything to share with a few friends and try everything. don't be shy. The recommendations we were given by Mo were all awesome and if you like Turkish coffee, they have it covered.

I visited this restaurant with my wife on the weekend. We placed order for humus and falfal. Both the items were stale and of bad taste. When we asked to replace the items, the management refused to do it. We had to leave the food on the table and left the place in a bad mood. This was my worst experience of visiting any restaurant. I will advise people to avoid this place because they sell stale food and don't feel ashamed for this bad practice.

Food here was just okay. We got the Mini Chef’s Platter (Hummus and Baba Ganoush), Egyptian Kofta, Fatta, and a Fattoush side salad. The Kofta was a bit dry, and the Fatta rice was kind of sour but the lamb was good. We thought the Mini Chef’s Platter would come with the Hummus, Baba Ganoush, and Besara, but it only came with Hummus and Baba Ganoush. Would have been nice if it was specified on the menu that we’d only get 2, or if we got to choose because we didn’t end up liking the Baba Ganoush. The servers were really nice and friendly, but covid-19 protocols were not followed AT ALL. There was a table right behind us and a table right beside us, and the servers were walking inbetween the aisles. They definitely do not follow the 2 metre rule, which was upsetting to see. Overall, food was a 3/5, service was 5/5, but I will not be visiting again.

This was my first experience Masrawy and it is one that has left me wanting to come back again! From stepping in the door, the host Mohamed Salah was so inviting and accommodating! I will admit the resto seemed a bit understaffed, but they did a great job getting our table ready, getting our orders out and making all of our requests a none issue! We had the mixed grill which looked beautiful from the moment they placed it down. The kafta was a bit dry, but that would be my only negative point. The chicken was juicy and flavourful, perfectly roasted. The lamb was soft and tender with a hint of yummy salt. The beef pieces had a great grill taste! Salata was fresh and cold, perfect accompaniment. The Kunafeh.... Oh..my... It came piping hot and just had the perfect consistency and flavour!

Great place to grab food. Service was excellent, ask me if it was our first time and then said "Welcome Home!" Had the lamb shank, fall off the bone tender, rice had some crispy bread which added a bite of crunch. Fried calamari has a light batter and a bit of kick. Rice pudding was topped with a bit of raisin, coconuts shaving and crushed pistachio came in a decent size. Decor looked very chaotic but creates a cosy type of feeling. Highly recommend to go and experience.

Stunningly good food and stellar atmosphere. Was here on a recommendation from an Egyptian friend and it did not disappoint! The fusion dish is an incredible combination of savoury and spice with a little sweet, and I fully appreciate what a genius the owner is after meeting him and some of the staff! There's a sign at the cash which reads "Good Vibes Only" and they're absolutely words to live by in difficult times - I have no doubt everyone there would go miles out of their way to help maintain the feeling for everyone. Can see why this place has been on the CBC - it is really an impressive operation! Patio also promises to be a Mississauga hotspot the moment such things are possible. These guys are selling the experience only. I ordered a breakfast meal for CAD 17+ (which is too much for a simple uncostly breakfast) and they got me the plate shown in the photo. Three quarters of Egyptian bread (not even a whole one). The beans (ful) was cold and even when I asked them to heat it up, they sprinkled cold salad on it, which is very weird. I think it’s a ripoff and my advice to all, do not buy the experience and pay much. Better get good service somewhere else.

Great service, friendly and prompt. Portion is huge and tasty. Although delicious, chicken is seasoned with Saudi spices and not Egyptian so not as authentic. The rest is great. Definitely try the mint lemonade slushy and the desserts as well.Also, basmati rice is not Egyptian. So if you are there for an Authentic Egyptian experience, order hhe calrose rice with vermicelli instead.

Great attentive service, beautiful ambiance, good food. We ordered the chef's platter for starters with excellent bread and hummus, baba ghanoush and another dip. For the mains we had the masrawy fusion with chicken which was excellent. Hawaoshy was good but oily. Kimos kofta for the kids was all right, seasoning could have been better. Would have been nice to have some salad as a part of the dishes as everything felt too dry. Overall a good experience.

Reviewing this amazing place after 2 visits, our second visit comes within a week of our first one, and I have so much to say. Firstly, the customer service is absolutely top notch. Right from welcoming you, finding a table for you, helping with the menu, serving and billing, everything is just what a customer expects. Coming to the food, this was our first time trying Egyptian cuisine and it could not have been any better. I tried the Masrawy Fusion (in picture) and the Mussaka Masri and thoroughly enjoyed it. For desserts, we had the Basbusa Masrawy, which was mind blowing. To end it we had the Turkish coffee (in picture), a must try. On our next visit we tried the Calamari bites and liked it. I personally also like the Mama’s Molekheya, which was one of the best chicken broth I’ve ever had. To end it, we had the Mango Kunafa (in picture) and I must say, it is simply awesome. Do not miss this. We came in just to try the Mango Kunafa but got tempted with everything else. Also, ask for Zena (not sure if I’m spelling it correctly) as she is super awesome, helps you choose from the menu, explains everything in detail without rushing you, the most amazing server ever. Also a special Thank you to Mohammed and Alisha for your warm and friendly hospitality. Keep up the good work Team Masrawy, we will be coming back for more.

The food was amazing with good quality, we were very hungry and the quality looked less but later on couldn’t even finish the whole food. We ordered Fatta, Grilled Chicken (Garlic sauce was amazing) and Fries on the side. Also, ordered lemonade but wasn’t worth it was better off with water. Bill came around $ 61 for two people. Overall very good food but the service was very slow due to being understaffed for Covid 19 which is understandable.

Poor service I was excited to try this restaurant, heard good reviews about the food but the service was HORRIBLE starting off the host blaming me for taking the table by “scamming”her when I was approach by her to confirm the amount of ppl I had reservations for, following my name even tho I had told her my name twice to confirm cuz she couldn’t even say my name properly to avoid confusion I had said my name twice and she confirms and she continue to take me n my family to the table, after a while host realized She made a mistake n try to blame me infront of another customer while she had taken me herself to the table, the server that was supposed to take care of our table completely overlooked us entire Time us being there we literally had to grab random server that was walking by us through out the evening to the point we weren’t even given plates or cutlery while the food was just sitting there on the table getting cold. We had to ask for from glasses of water, plates, cutlery water, condiments literally it was horrible I was even embarrassed at one point to keep asking for basic stuff we shouldn’t have to ask for. And when asked for the bill and boxes for Left over once again another server has given us the boxes and when he had mention it to our assigned server (SAW THIS HAPPEN infront of us she rolled her eyes. And continue to ignore us. I wish I wouldve recorded this entire experience, it was embarrassing. We had also told them about my Birthday to have some sort of birthday celebration which was also ignored. Regret giving them my business the way me N my Family were treated it was awful I really wish I never went there. All I wanted was to have a great evening which was ruined by their incompetent employees.

One of the BEST restaurants in the GTA. Not only their food is amazing, their coffee is pretty awesome too, not to mention their amazing service and decor. We tried hawoushi, fusion plate, sirloin steak, chicken tikka, kunafe, umm ali, and ofcourse Mo Salah coffee. Have to say they have the best coffee in Mississauga. Absolutely love it. We will keep coming for all occasions. The staff is also very friendly (Specially Muhammad Salah -yes they have a guy named that there) and welcoming and just because of their friendly service, I recommend this place.

The food was tasty although the dude seating people either doesn't plan well or has no sense of time. We tried to make reservations twice but were told no, just walk in and we'll find a table for you. We came around 2pm on a Sunday following their instructions and still had to wait for at least a half hour. If it wasn't for our friend asking him to sit us in another table, it would have been even longer. The table the dude promised us is 'finishing up' was actually just starting their late lunch! That same dude that refused to take reservations showed us his clipboard with actual reservations taken! They seem to operate on an unfair double-standard and this inconsistency and frustration were shared by others waiting as well. Decent food and pricing but sadly overshadowed by the imbicel that calls himself a host.

Great place to get a taste of Alexandria, Egypt. Ingredients are fresh, authentic middle eastern. Add to the mix great staff and customer service and this makes it a lethal combination to beat. My friends and I recently came to this restaurant and immediately went home to rave about it because not only was the food delicious (meat was super tender, fresh, and everything was spiced so well), the service was amazing. We had 3-4 waiters that helped us order, checked up on us periodically and the owner even came by to tell us that we picked some great dishes. I buy a big platter of Mahshi to take home each time as its the best Ive had since Egypt. The kosheri platter, hawawshi, calamari are all absolutely delicious and more importantly the customer service was excellent. The restaurant was packed which goes to show you how great the food is. Waited for 1 hour and 30 mins after being told that the wait will be 30 to 40 minutes for a table. Nada was the manager on duty and she was visibility stressed in dealing with the crowd. Did not manage seating customers well at all and would recommend training on how to treat guests respectfully. We ended up leaving as we did not feel welcome. Then Nada asked us to come back and said she does not appreciate us adding this review since the owner of the restaurant will see the review. Again she she was shouting at us on the entrance door and so we left. Really amazingly bad service all because of Nada.

If you haven't been here, what are you waiting for?!? Masrawy is a needed addition to the array of restaurants we have here in Mississauga. I've only been here twice (but I know I'll be back) and both times I've had such tasty dishes. I had lunch with a friend here and I ordered the lamb shank and rice (Fatta - Chef's Choice) and Om Ali (bread pudding with pistachio and coconut) - both dishes were full of flavour and comfort. What made our dining experience more enjoyable was the awesome service we received from our waitress as well as the owner, Mohamed. During this pandemic we have to support local as much as we can. In conversation with Mohamed, we could sense his warmth and his gratefulness for his restaurant. Looking forward to my next food adventure at Masrawy!

Food was too salty, and what they describe as “chicken breast” on their menu is full of bones and tiny fatty pieces fit for a dog.

Popular Restaurant for a good reason and that's because of its delicious food. All the dishes were great. The patio is large but get there before 630 on a Friday if you don't want to wait. 2 years later and I have to edit my review.Although I am a customer since they opened, I don't think I will ever go again because the service has been going downhill and last time we were there, we got a USED cup for the coffee, during covid! They simply poured new coffee in a cup that had lipstick marks on it and gave it to us. I thought they would be extra mindful of cleanliness during a pandemic, obviously not!.. the ramadan buffet was AMAZING. BEST buffet in the GTA hands down, the set-up needs some adjustment but very understandable knowing it is their first year and they are still figuring things out. I hope they open more locations soon. I brought my family all the way from Ottawa to try it out. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent service and food. We got seated right away because we were seating for two. The service for the food also was super fast and it was quite busy tonight. We got the most popular items for our entrees: fatta (lamb flank with rice) and Masrawy Fusion. I also got the hibiscus juice but I wish I got the lemon mint one as that seems to be really popular and it looked very refreshing! We also got the chefs choice dessert Kanafa. Best choices: macarona bachamel (very rich cheesy pasta casserole), hawaoshi (flavour rich minced meat stuffed in Egyptian bread), mixed grill (huge platter, definitely sharable, rich meat), fish (tastes just like the fish you eat in Alexandria, Egypt), Koshari (this is the most popular dish in Egypt and this one tasted like the one you’d eat in Egypt, very delicious mix of rice and lentils) I can’t wait to try their breakfast.

Wow are you kidding me. This is a gem of a restaurant in Mississauga. Apparently the chef had a restaurant in Alexandria Egypt. What can I say Alexandrias loss is Mississauga's gain. Restaurant has nice ambiance, is clean and most importantly has amazing food. The entrees are not over spiced , and seem to be authentic in flavour. Oh and the portions are massive. A few tips make sure to order the falafels. They are not your typical fare. This humble dish was by far the star of the menu. If this is what Egyptian food tastes like the falafels inspire me to go to Egypt for my next vacation. Why four stars you ask. The service needs some work. Dont get me wrong the waiters/resses are polite and attentive when possible. But as soon as the place gets slighty busy service begins to suffer. I think it's just a case of better service organization to iron this out. Great dining experience would definitely recommend. Kudos to the chef for such a delicious meal.

I had seen the raving reviews for Masrawy online and wanted to give them a try for a while. I finally made the visit with friends and was mildly pleased with the overall service. I found the owner to be very passionate and was able to to cater to our needs well. Although his energetic vibe was a little too pushy at times. We ordered the Masrawy Fusion and the Hawaoshi. The portion for the Fusion was large enough for 1-2 people and tasty, although the flavour does get slightly repetitive. I would recommend getting more cranberries and candied carrots to add some variety in each bite. The Hawaoshi was well seasoned and the meat quality was decent too, again the portion size could feed 1-2 individuals. Additionally, the added touch of coke bottles as opposed to cans/cups was nice. The lime and mint drink was very refreshing and light, it paired well with the heavy meal-I would definitely recommend it! Overall, I’m glad I checked it out as we had a pleasant experience. However, I’m not sure if I would return due to the food being only slightly above-average and not mind-blowing as the reviews make it seem.

I couldn't resist but order multiple things and took home leftovers. I didn't regret it at all. The staff and owner (Mohamed Salah... Yes, like the soccer player) are super friendly and hospitable! After your main course, you have to have desert. I suggest the Om Ali. It's out of this world! If you need some caffeine after your meal, you should also ask for a Mohamed Salah special (I believe it's cappuccino and espresso combined). It was delicious! I love this place, the music, the people. I find this place unique and has an oriental feeling as well as the Egyptian touch on top of everything especially the food. Prices are moderate and the place is clean, and the staff are very friendly. The waiting time is somewhat long to get a table that’s the only down side but other than that you can stay in the parking and eat in your car or on the move next to the restaurant. I had never tried Egyptian food before but I’m glad I went to Masrawy. There were many unique items on the menu that I had not seen in the many middle eastern restaurants I have been to (makes sense but you know what I mean). The place is clean and the staff is friendly. The owner is very welcoming and cares about his customers. Food is fresh and portions are fair. I will definitely have to go back and try more of their menu items.

Great potential just needs some minor refinement. Nice decor, good food, and friendly service. Our table was around 20 minutes late but the server gave us a free appetizer for that which was appreciated. Everyone enjoyed the food and the menu was authentic. Their are many styles of egyptian food and overall we enjoyed our night. What could have been better ? Well the door to the kitchen was being opened by the staff as the went in and out and as you happen to glance in it seemed like a bit of a mess. Now it was a busy Friday night but it wasn't a pretty sight. Secondly a restroom door was broken and the other restroom was out of hand towels. A little more attention to details would make this a better customer experience. They are the only egyptian food on the area so they have that going for it but it's not up to five star standards on that night... yet. Hope they can tweak the stuff as we would like to go back and try more things on the menu. Priced reasonably and portions are a bit inconsistent. Some plates are large and others more like medium. Some consistency would be good in the menu design from a volume perspective.

Went to check this place out because was missing real Egyptian flavours. We did order lots of food to share between 4 of us and most of it was great. First impression of the restaurant was great - spacious, bright, simple modern design, friendly servers. We ordered chefs platter to share and enjoyed it a lot. It could use a bit more spices, but it went well with this amazing soft and still warm bread. Soup of the day was ok, but nothing too crazy for me. But then hawawshi arrived and it was my favourite item. It was perfect - perfectly seasoned, cooked and still juicy! The molekheya was good too but the rest of the food didn’t impress at all - we ordered kofta, beef kebab, lamb kebab. Meat ratio to the rest of the dish was way too small for the price and meat itself wasn’t good. Kebabs were pretty tough and didn’t have much flavour, kofta was just ok, sides were ok, fries were good, but salads were super watery. Fur dessert we got om Ali to share and it was too big even for four of us. So we did have a great experience, enjoyed the food and service, but next time I’d avoid grilled meats and would stick with hawawshi only.

TLDR: 5 star service, 5 star food. You will be planning your next visit when leaving them because you couldn’t try all the chef’s special dishes. We went on a weekend evening. There was a line and a waiting period but the manager/supervisor (not sure what he’s role is) kept saying sorry for keeping people waiting in the line. He literally asked for forgiveness to the customers whom they had to return because they just don’t have enough time and space left for the day to serve them. We got our table after 30 minutes. We already knew what we were going to order. One of the item was not available so the server suggested us a different one. We went for chefs specials. Food toke around 20 minutes to arrive. We were salivating just by seeing it. Both of the dishes we ordered were in perfect temp and ready to eat and my god, the food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Meat was so tender and flavourful, even rice itself was beyond our expectations. Later we ordered a dessert and a coffee. They were great as well. All the items we ordered are added here in the post with the names. AND of course, have to mention their service, they were so friendly and nice that you would actually feel like your are visiting someone’s house on an invite. They make you feel that. We already started planning our next visit.

A great new middle Eastern place that opened up in Mississauga.This place is decorated very well and gives a unique vibe to the restaurant. The service we received was very friendly and quick throughout. We ordered the calamari, fusion plate, kafta plate, falafel and om Ali( which I was looking to the most). The calamari was fantastic and fresh, as well as the falafel and the two plates. Unfortunately the om Ali we received was dry on the top and inside as well, which was disappointing. However there was a large group attending and possibly the the kitchen was overloaded leading to that. Regardless, this spot is a must visit for middle Eastern foodies and we will be back!

If you are looking for authentic Egyptian cuisine then this is the place to go too! We ordered a wide variety of appetizers and main dishes and they were absolutely delightful. We had gone to celebrate my uncles birthday and they brought him a small dessert and sang him a song which was so fun! I highly recommend this place. The staff is very welcoming and it is clean. If i could 0 stars I could, we just went and waited outside for 1 1/2 hours in our car as the server asked us to saying there was no room inside and would call us when there was room. After 1 1/2 hours of half my family waiting in the car and me standing right in front of her, I finally asked the server why she still hadn’t called us after giving us a 20 min waiting time shes like “Oh I already seated someone else” they said that they were you guys, please keep waiting when a table clears up ill seat you. She proceeds to have us sit outside with no ending time, goes inside to the ppl who took our tables and confronts them but makes no move to solve the issue instead smirking at them for there ^smart moves^ and coming back and shrugging at us instead of either asking the other ppl to sit outside as they had cut a huge queue or giving us a proper solution other than waiting another 1 1/2 hour. As a customer I feel extremely humiliated, angry and frustrated. I am not coming back here again nor will i recommend it. This place is amazing! My girl friend and I wanted to try a place which was not your regular North American restaurant. The location is central and there is plenty of parking in the plaza. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, with middle eastern touch. We ordered few items. The food portions are pretty decent. The food was exceptional! We tried a few items, some vegetarian and some non vegetarian. They also have vegan dishes. It has definitely become a favourite of ours. We are excited to be going back to try more dishes.

I was slightly skeptical when I saw the superb rating of this restaurant before going but my visit there honestly showed why this place deserves it. We went on a weekday and still found the restaurant PACKED and brimming with activity. The wait to get seated was slightly longer than we would have liked but the food totally made up for it. The servers communicated really well and were extremely useful in helping us decide what to order, as it was our first time there. The food was honestly too good for words with all the dishes tasting simply amazing. On top of that, the manager was extremely courteous and offered us their signature dips to try. This is definitely a place I'd love to take my family and friends to and I can't wait to go back!

I drove an hour just to try this place and believe me when I tell you that I would drive even longer. Masrawy is more than just a restaurant, it’s a CULINARY EXPERIENCE. I ordered the Masrawy Fusion Chicken dish and after one bite I had to sit back and take in what my taste buds just experienced. While the food is fantastic, the people are just as incredible. They are very patient and kind humans. When outdoor dining was allowed, the owner made an effort to go to every single table to ask them how things were going. We ended up talking for like 20 minutes and I honestly thought I was speaking to someone I’ve known for years. The decision shouldn’t be whether or not you should try this place, it’s deciding what you’re going to eat there. The place is amazing. Whether you are from Egypt, been there, or you want to try some authentic flavour-rich Egyptian food, that would be the place. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The place is spacious and clean. Well lit and has nice atmosphere. We took the mix grill. The portion size was great. The meat was tender and had the nice charcoal aroma. I took a bbq sea bass which was very delicious. Exactly like what you eat in Alexandria by the Mediterranean coast. The kids took Moloukheyya, which was very tasty with rice and chicken. If you didn’t try the Egyptian bread, make sure you do. Great place. Highly recommended.

This was my first time here. I found the menu a bit confusing but the staff was very nice and helped me figure it out. I ordered takeout, Mesrawy Fusion (fries) with beef shawarma ($17). It was really good, the beef was cut into larger pieces compared to other shawarmas I have tried but it tasted amazing. Portion was perfect and the fries tasted good and were not greasy. I didn't like the garlic sauce as it tasted very bland also I was not expecting hot sauce on the dish and wish they would have mentioned or asked about it. The place was very clean with nice decor, has just over a dozen tables for sitting and lots of parking available. I stopped by just after 9pm on a weekday and it was not busy at all, was in and out within 15 minutes. Highly recommend the place, great service and amazing food. I will be back for sure.

Fourth, I won’t say it’s very cheap but definitely not too expensive. It’s a good affordable restaurant. Few dishes are really priced low and few little on the pricey side, but it depends on what you are ordering. But I must say it’s really worth it. We didn’t want to leave without trying a dessert so we took Om 3ali with us and enjoyed it at home and it was totally worth it. We’re from Niagara and would make that drive again to enjoy this authentic cuisine. A little taste of Egypt. Highly recommend it.

To start the music was so loud we literally had to raise our voices to hear each other. They likely have it loud to drown out all the traffic noise. That being said, they cannot help the location right on brittania drive. Had the Besara for a starter. It was a little bland but texture was awesome and there was lots of it. Overall good. Balady bread was fresh. Hawaoshi and Masrawy fusion were our entrées. Hawaoshi has an excellent flavor. A slick kick in the spice that is not overwhelming. Masrawy fusion is awesome. Bursting with flavor with a nice spicy kick. These two entrées will not disappoint if you enjoy lots of flavor. Service was odd. One person introduced herself when we sat down as our server. 9p seconds later another person shows up asking to take our order. We barely looked at the menu at this point. First person comes back later and takes over again. Not bad service just odd how it worked out. Overall, noise level 1 star, food 5 stars, service 4 stars.

Was seated right away. Both our servers were very polite and professional and food was served in a timely manner. Platters were very nicely presented and the portion was good size. Items ordered: Lamb kabab, Chicken Tikka, Masrawy Fusion sandwhich, Masrawy fusion with rice and Lamb chops. Lemon mint was good and so was the fresh Mango juice. Om Ali was awesome. Only negative was that the Chicken Tikka was a little too salty to my taste.

One of the best Egyptian food I have had! Chicken is really tender and flavourful, the calamari is a MUST! You really won't find their calamari anywhere else! Apart from the meat, the rice and the fattoush salad were packed with flavour and tasted fresh. And the manager is a delight! She has such a cheerful personality and really took the time to talk to us about the food -- seeing as we were new customers. I am definitely coming back to try more items on the menu!

The place is really nice, the environment is very Egyptian, Egyptian songs playing and the servers are friendly. The food was great, we tried the koshary, hawawshi and the Masrawy Fusion. All tasted great but not overly amazing! I also didn't like the fact that you have to go order from the counter not from the server. But everything else was good, I would come back again

I’ve been here twice so far! Super friendly and youthful staff, a well designed restaurant with a middle eastern modern vibe. In terms of food, which most people are eager to read about: 1. Lots of vegetarian and vegan items (plus for all of us non meat eaters). I tried the salads and foul plate - they tasted like I was in an Egyptian home. 2. Lots of meat options that my friends tried and seemed to really enjoy. Some got sandwiches and other got platters. 3. If you want to experience food that is out of your comfort zone (aka paramount) try this because there are options that I had no idea what they were but were really interesting. 4. Tea and dessert (the most important part of the meal for me lol): perfect! They have mint for the tea which is a plus, but hope they would introduce a tea pot option if they don’t already have one. 5. I tried the breakfast menu, and that’s what was my favourite and what I would definitely come back for.

First time with the family. 3.5 *** Stars. I ordered juice for the kids. Mixed grill platter was good and yum, i wish the salad to be bigger portion with some pickles that can match what you get in the platter. Koshary was very good and tasty, we all liked it and enjoyed the combination flavors of the side sauces, the only thing i will say is that it can take some more seasonings. Chefs platter was kinda the let down for starter, the menu says $22 for some hummas, baba ghanoush and BASARA, the problem i noticed is that the plate was big but the portions were not fair for the price and the plate, the BASARA wasn't served to us but instead they just put extra hummas. It's pricey, missing an item and problem of portion size. Mombar was also onther let down, no flavor of the intestine itself or spice as it's packed with dill which is the only thing we can taste. Fatta was pretty good and the family liked it and enjoyed it, very tender and clean. The server with the tablet wasn't efficient enough, i asked for water more than two times and also for napkins and didn't bring it, i had to ask someone else for water as we only got served one little pitcher for all of us! Overall it's clean, easy and simple menu wich i like, Service/Food needs some improvement, will difently come back. I believe the owner or the manager who spoked to us but didn't introduce himself, he was nice and friendly.

Had a great time at this Egyptian restaurant. I went for "breakfast" (it was lunch time) and ate items I've never had before. Taamaya-hard boiled eggs encased in a falafel like shell. It was pretty and delicious! Came with a bean dip, Egyptian pita-like bread, feta cheese mix, and fries. Very filling and yummy! The restaurant is very stylish and modern too.

We arrived to Masrawy on Saturday and the staff told us that their last order is at 930 and we arrived there at 830. Staff basically told us its up to us to risk it or not as we wanted to dine in their Patio. Closing the Kithen on a Saturday night at 930p, is very early. We still waited but then opted out for Take-Out Food. We ordered Masrawy Fusion, Chicken Tikka, and Foul, and sorry to say the food was not tasteful. The fou tasted like it was a day old lentil dish and was so sour. We have had Foul before and we know how it tastes. Masrawy Fusion dish had no taste and it was basically Beef on the Rocks. The rice had no flavor and all the flavor came from the garlic sauce and tahini. Even Chicken tikka was bland and at all flavorful. Quite disappointed, especially because we have heard good reviews from our friends. Also, please take reservations next time, it just saves everyone time.

Have you ever been to a place that feels like home, but is not actually home? Welcome to Masrawy. I've been to Masrawy too many times to count now and I guarantee you that each time, the one detail that I always notice is how Mo (the owner) interacts with all of his customers. This is something SO rare when you go to a restaurant but it's probably one of the keys and secrets to success in my opinion. I love this simple act as it creates a warm and welcoming environment. Aside from that, the hospitality is incredible. The food is amazing and it always comes freshly prepared. I love the authenticity of the food and the various items available on the menu. I've been going to Masrawy since they opened up and have probably tried every item on the menu so far, and although I'm not a coffee drinker, their Mo Salah coffee is to die for. Favourite item for me is probably the Chicken Tikka (main), hawaoshi (appetizer) and Om Ali (dessert).

I love the Chef Platter at this plate. Period. It's filling, fresh and (very) flamboyant. The ambience at Masrawy is exceptionally live. I am also a big fan of their Birthday Celebration (which I discovered after dinning three times here over a course of two months - that's how good this place is). So, arrive and give your cake at the reception and then after your dinner - they (the entire waiting staff) do a lovely performance on a very feet-tapping, mood uplifting Mediterranean song for the birthday person. In terms of food, I close my eyes and order Hawawshi and Masrawy Fusion. Repeated this order evey time and was not disappointed. One thing though a bit disappointing was the Lamb Chops and Lamb Kabab. Both were overcooked (aka chewy) (Full Disclosure: only ordered them once and did not order again because the rest of the food was too delectable) I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Amazing vibe and ambience, friendly staff that are passionate about the food, and the food? The food is out of this world. You can taste the that it’s all made from scratch, spiced well, full of balanced flavour, and prepared just right. And besides, where else will you find real Egyptian food (not just your stand middle-eastern) in Mississauga? So far I’ve tried the beef kofta, the chicken tikka, the hummus, the tamaya (falafel), and the molokheya, and I can safely recommend them all. My Egyptian mom was even surprised that she liked this molokheya more than her own. Also, make sure you try the tahina!

We noticed that this restaurant was very busy while other stores in the plaza was slow. Glad to have tried it! Friendly owner and staff! The lamb shank was very juicy with lots of sauce. The kebab was a little burned on one side, so I had to cut those pieces off. Overall good tasting but a bit pricey compared to what’s around there.

Most food items were amazing and would get 5+ stars: Kibda eskandarani (liver), hawawashi, mahshy (stuffed vines), 3ats (lentil soup), molokheya and besara. Also karkadeh (hibiscus) juice from the specials menu was excellent. Kofta was not so good (3 stars only). Service can be improved a lot (3 stars). Week try the koshary next time and update the review...

From the soup, Calimari, Hawahoshi, Macaroni, and Umm Ali. It was amazing! The food was spectacular and top notch. My only regret is that we couldn't try more items from the menu. A review 3 weeks ago by Roberta is 100% correct. Kitchen staff doesn't wear masks and even people behind the counter as well. They just put it on when someone comes to the register. I went here tonight and the place was jam packed with people and 4-6 people were waiting to be seated. So much for following the reduced capacity limits. This place needs to be fined for sure as does anyone willing to sit in there knowing they should be at a reduced capacity.

Delicious food. Slow service, I think they were short staffed. But the staff was very friendly and nice. Had to ask for hot sauce like 4x before we actually got it. But the food was really good and I'd definitely go again. We ordered the chicken fusion, beef kebab, chicken tikka, lamb chops and the hawaoshi. The hawaoshi and chicken tikka were a huge hit. Delicious food. Huge portions for eveything but beef kebabs and lambchops had way too much rice and very little meat so it was an uneven portion. Nonetheless, good prices and I'd definitely recommend and visit again.

Want to try a different cuisine ? This is your go to place. Amazing ambience , friendly staffs and lovely food. We went there for the first time and were quieter not sure of the menu .. but the staffs were so friendly that they gave us suggestions based on our food preferences and the food turned out to be amazing. Food portion was more than sufficient for the 2 of us. Masrawy fusion is a must try main course meal there. And so was lamb chops. It was overall a great first time experience of Egyptian cuisine.

Every person that’s been here with me loved the food, the service, the location, and the entire experience. Masrawy is a love letter to Egyptian food with heart and soul in every bite. The amount of flavour you find here is incomparable. It’s a different experience every time and definitely worth every penny. If you want to experience good Egyptian food - or honestly some of the best food in the GTA you need to make it here. During COVID they have outdoor patio seating big enough for groups of 8 and will accommodate your party with whatever you need. The service is caring and will bring you more than you asked for. Large portions and even bigger bites on the plate you already have. We had the Masrawy fusion, a must try for anyone looking for their first food experience here, along with the Macarona, Chicken Tikka, and a Chef’s platter. Everything we had was finished to the bone and we were full, but still a good full that you enjoy the rest of your night. We had food left over to take home and our dessert, Kunafa, was something that everyone in our party shared and enjoyed. Honestly if you’re looking for your next new dinner spot here in Mississauga, look no more. This is one place you have to try, and will definitely be back to with more people to show and tell about this food gem. Visited today for lunch for a father's day get together ,it was our first visit. Tried 5 different types of foods. Ful sandwich , chicken Tika with rice,beef steak, lamb chops boneless chicken with rice. Really enjoyed the excellent food. Very reasonably priced. Seating in patio was properly spaced. Our only concern was the service, which was slow and little erratic. The staff was exhausted and may be unable to handle the father day workload. The staff did apologize to us and explained repeatedly in a very professional manner. Inspite of the service related issue , all of us liked the overall experience. 5 star rating and Thumbs-up for the staff. Repeat visit with family and friends is very much on cards.

First of all, you'll notice the absolute ENERGY from the staff and their warm greeting, which already was a positive sign. The menu was filled with authentic Egyptian dishes reminiscent of home, it took me a while to decide what I got. Me and my family ended up order about 8 dishes for all 4 of us, because we just couldn't narrow it down. Not that it mattered, because the prices are more than reasonable and the PORTIONS wowwww. Then, you taste it and immediately realize, that you will never eat anywhere else. Phenomenal service, incredible food, outstanding experience. Simply put, terrific.

Seldomly that you find a spot that specializes in Egyptian food and does it well. It's a two part equation that Masrawy had perfected. From flavorful plates. I tried about 5 of them. To modern Egyptian/Arab decoration. Plates are: On the Nile, a well executed falafel stuffed with boiled eggs. Liver tasted great and s slightly spicy. We went here Sunday afternoon for a birthday, and what a wonderful place, what amazing staff. They are so incredibly patient, so caring when explaining the menu and the dishes. The food was very fresh, and so tasty! We ended up getting Masrawy Fusion, Chicken Tikka, Kebab, and Hawaoshi. Loved all of it! Huge portion sizes, will absolutely go back!!

Most authentic Egyptian food in Canada!!! Foul, taamaya & Egyptian bread was unreal, EXACTLY what you would find in Egypt. ordered the pharaohs breakfast and couldn’t get to the eggs because everything else was too good ???? Their koshary is ???? & a legit solid serving, defiantly worth getting as an extra shareable plate. Travelling but if I lived locally this would be my weekly breakfast spot ????

Hats off to the kitchen, I have eaten here for all my special occasions for the past 3 years. I have used their appetizers for finger foods during my seminars and executive meetings with clients. I just love it and I guess if your looking real egyptian cuisine, this is the place. You will love it!

I can tell you that this restaurant is truly a gem as when since introducing this to family and friends its become one of their favourite restaurants as well. Whenever we have a larger family gathering we always order the trays of the Masrawy Chicken and everybody loves its!! Please check this restaurant out and I promise you'll become regular as well :)

First of all, why is there only one location!! You need to open multiple spots - Scarborough, Vaughan perhaps- great places to start. The service was amazing; the food equally as amazing, everything tasted wonderful and the portions are generous. The MUST HAVE's are the Koshari and Hawawshi - Egyptian staples in my books! Cannot leave this place without trying it at least once- it was the main reason why I came here and it didn't disappoint. There was a bit of a wait, very busy but totally worth it. I think it just speaks to how great the restaurant really is; always packed. My only constructive criticism would be in regards to the fattoush salad. It was not at all what I expected and probably would not order it again if remained unchanged. I think you need to check back and refine the recipe and ingredients because what I got was not a fattoush salad. I'm Lebanese Armenian and we make this all the time. What I got was some lettuce, slices of onion, green pepper, tomato, the fried pita and was drizzled with some balsamic glaze or some sort of glaze. I would not consider this traditional fattoush. It should've been romaine lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion or even green onion, sliced radishes, fresh mint and the dressing a mix of olive oil, lemon juice, pinch of salt and most importantly, sumac spice - this is what makes the salad - the sumac. So good!! Topped with the fried pita. But I still give it a full 5 stars cause everything was still amazing!! =) Hope this helps.

It was my first time trying an Egyptian cuisine restaurant and I'm glad I chose this place. Food has really good flavors. Had the fatta which was lamb shank on rice and that meat was so tender and well done. Ambience was really nice too. Definitely going back again.

Best dining experience, covid style. We were seated on the outside patio, right away. Despite being busy on a thursday evening, there was ample seating. We ordered the bechamel pasta, chicken with rice and lamb shank. OMG, just delicious! those tiny bread pcs in the rice, divine. Full of flavour and yet still crispy. Everything was absolutely spot on and the portions were huge. Lots of leftovers for lunch the next day. Cant wait to go back!

This is a MUST TRY! If you’re a fan of Egyptian food, are Egyptian, or looking to try authentic home style Egyptian food. This is the place for you. I can’t believe how amazing all the food was, the spectacular ambiance, the music, the friendliness of the staff. Truly felt like I was having a home cooked meal back home with family ❤️ After living away from Egypt for over 10 years, I had pretty much given up on the hope of having authentic Egyptian food in Canada or anywhere I travel aside from Egypt. The appetizers were incredible, FRIED CALAMARI is the star of this page of the menu and the stuffed vine leaves are a close second (and really remind me of my mum’s). Their grilled meats are also delicious, perfectly seasoned, juicy and cooked to perfection. The Kofta shines in this section. Fatta with lamb shank (another Egyptian delicacy consisting of bread, rice and a garlic tomato sauce with the meat on top) is not to be missed. The flavors are so intense and unique. The bechamel pasta is so hearty and smooth, very similar to the way it’s made back home. There are loads of other typical dishes from home that are worth trying, I can assure you, you’ll leave with many new favorites. For dessert, kunafa made the Egyptian way (which differs from other Middle Eastern countries that make the same dish) is a personal favorite of mine and I’m always craving. Theirs hit the spot for me. Don’t think my comment does this restaurant justice, you have to try it for yourself. Pro tip: ask for the special items that are off the menu and made by request.

I can’t say enough about this place. Best service, best food and amazing vibes. This is my second time here and the consistency of their great service and delicious food just amazes me! Egyptian food imo is not an easy or fast cuisine, but the food here is so fresh and full of flavour, I am sure there is a whole army in the Kitchen for the food to be that delicious . My friends and I tried almost everything on the menu, and these are my favourites: Hawawshy, mombar, macarona bashamel, waraa enab (stuffed vine leaves), calamari and their appetizers plate is a MUST! To Mohamed the owner, thank you so much for being so friendly and accommodating! Our waiter Hassan, you will go places in this world with your dedication and warm smile! Masrawy is officially my favourite restaurant in the GTA!

One of the unique eateries I've been to as it's a first time I've tried Egyptian cuisine. It was a busy Sunday evening time, but was promptly seated after line up. Food was great and abundant. Definately shareable dish portions that were aromatic.

The food was absoultely delicious, 5 star is an understatement. The owner was awesome and made us feel at home. Just a couple suggestions, the floors felt quite "sticky" and would benefit from a thorough cleaning and generally the restaurant could have been a bit cleaner (windows/tables/floor edges etc... there was a slight smell of cleaning products when we walked in), the tables/chairs also looked like they needed some refurbishing. We had to wait for quite a while at the front to get our presence aknowledged and get seated, (not sure if they were short staffed that day, we did have a reservation). All in all the great food and warm owner made the experience awesome! I can't wait to come back.

We decided to try this place because of all the rave reviews and I must say, it was not a disappointment! They are not taking any reservations now and it's first come first serve. We were a group of 6 and we put our name down in the list and it was a like a 25 minute wait for a busy Saturday evening which I thought was pretty reasonable. I ordered the Fattah in lamb (you can choose beef for it too if available) and it was really good. The meat was tender and soft and rice was very well seasoned. We also got a bowl of salad and Hummus as appetizers which were also good with decent quantity. My husband got the Chicken Tikka platter which was also very well seasoned and juicy. The service was also great. All the appetizers came to the table all together and so did everyone's entrees. This is a huge plus for us because it's so annoying when one person doesn't get their food with everyone so we have to wait for it before we start while our food gets cold. Thankfully it didn't happen here. Their full menu is online with prices.

We had a situation where somebody else grabbed our order and had to drive back to give it to us. The staff was very courteous and kind in this unique situation. Food was amazing and fresh. I usually order from Markham once a week but had to make the trip down for the great food. Hope to enjoy it on the patio soon!
