The groceries were coming when I had to step out for an emergency. The driver said he could leave them at my door if I sent him a text message approving that, so I did. My husband got home first and said there were no groceries. I couldn’t call the driver for a bit and when I did he said he left them at the Erin house but I should just walk next door and get them. It’s the summer time and hot and I would never eat dairy and poultry left in the hot sun for 2 hours. Customer service could only say we will deliver tomorrow but that doesn’t help me if they can’t deliver when I’m home. They in no way tried to rectify the situation.

I have many items missing from my order. Onions, bananas, and 2 whole chickens. Items that were in stock whilst ordering magically disappeared the week I waiting for delivery. Trying to get through to customer service but both lines ring busy. I have other orders on schedule, can someone please tell me the likelihood of more items being missed as I can’t wait for food that never arrives. I've used them for about 1.5 years and been very happy - great produce, great customer service and great drivers. But the order I had booked for 6 - 8 pm tonight didn't show up (on a night I had plans to be somewhere). At 8:15 I had to phone them, only to be told the driver had an issue earlier in the day and was running an hour late. If they'd had the courtesy to phone me ahead of time and let me know it wouldn't have wrecked my night at the last minute because I had to cancel my plans. One phone call....why so hard?

I really appreciate it!! Original Review: I just spoke to Kimberly from Customer Service. My delivery is late, and I am on my way out. She kept me on hold for 13 minutes only to tell me that the driver will be 2 1/2 to 3 hours late. I had no choice but to cancel the order. Extremely frustrating. My previous order was also late. No phone call or message to tell me they are running late. I cancelled my plans last time. Again, custsomer service did see this as a big deal. An order prior to that was delivered at the very last minute, which is not a problem. However, the driver always phones to tell you that they will be there shortly. I only recieved the call when the driver was at my door. The driver had thrown the bags of groceries randomly all over the hallway to my condo. He was incredibly rude. I didn't report this, because I know we can all have bad days. I wish I had reported it. I have used this service for many years on and off due to customer service issues. Last winter my delivery was booked for late afternoon. I was having a party that evening. The driver did not inform me he would be late. I had to call customer service numerous times. The driver did not reach out. He arrived more then 5 hours late. By then, the party was in full swing. I could not accept the order. His said f*** you without using those exact words. Grocery Gateway customer service did nothing to make this right. I stopped using them for a very long time. Clearly, they still have horrible service.

I've been using this service since inception. On the very rare occasion that there has been an issue such as a missing item, Customer Service has been great to help with a credit. Delivery people have been excellent with the exception of 1, who likely was rapidly fired. Also don't have any issue using the website. Also - never received anything that was past it's expiry.

Since the pandemic began, like many others have been trying to avoid unnecessary trips to the grocery store and other places. I have given grocery gateway 3 tries. I won’t be ordering again. The produce has been appalling. Items close to expiring, overripe, on the verge of rotting. Yesterday I paid $5.99 for literally 12 organic raspberries. They were leaking and smushed when the driver slammed them down on the front porch. (The other two drivers were more kind and pleasant). Bananas over-ripened and bruised, organic limes that are on the brink of expiration, bad substitutions, unpleasant and unkind customer service when you call to ask about a refund for the rotten items and an exchange for the poorly curated substitutes. I even offered to drive up to the store, and no solution except we can’t do anything because of covid. Money grab, scammers, poor online shopping experience with an outdated website for iOS, save your money and use sobeys Voila. They may not have as good of a selection of organics, but at least its fresh, friendly and they aren’t taking advantage of you. *melissa was the unkind and unhelpful person on the phone who did not care about the dissatisfaction and disappointment if you were wondering. Buyer beware. Order at your own risk. They are just offloading items that don’t sell and are about to expire if you click yes to substitutions.

I just used it for the first time and it was excellent. Quality of the groceries was the best and they delivered on time. You pay a premium for the service, but if you are housebound this is a life saver! I also thought the website menus were very well laid out, it was easy to find stuff. I particularly like the See All option - seeing everything at once helped me to do my shopping, like going to a grocery store. The delivery guy also went above and beyond, bringing my groceries up a flight of stairs when he saw that I was in a leg cast. Thank you!

Very disappointed in the customer service. Was hoping that grocery gateway customer service would be the same as Longos but is not. Two very different experiences. I will not be shopping grocery gateway.

No one is perfect, not even the other delivery services, but we have found Grocery Gateway's freshness guarantee the best by far out of all of the ones we've tried over the past few months. Aside from a few hiccups during the peak of COVID (totally understandable, no one was prepared for THAT), our household remains a loyal customer of GG's. Why? Because, in spite of COVID delivery slot issues, GG spent time with us (by phone, directed via Twitter) to try and help us out to get us what we needed, and for that we will forever be grateful. If you do find you have experienced an issue, take the time to call them, they actually answer the phone or return your call. Great item selection, customer service, and drivers. Having tried their pick up option recently, I can also say their store staff are great, too, very pleasant and express appreciation for your business. The ONLY downside that I can think of is that their website needs an overhaul. Other grocery delivery sites are beating the pants of them on that side of things. I believe it would give GG the opportunity to address any missing item (not charged) issues other users have apparently experienced, having a better/live stock level would let shoppers know if something, at the very least, isn't available, so folks don't rely on it being in their order when it's not, even if they don't get billed for it. Just a suggestion!

My order hasn't shown up and despite reaching out multiple times to the customer service team, I haven't made a connection with anyone, nor has anyone gotten back to me. I have even used the channels offered by the "Response from the Owner" on this platform.

I ordered and paid for flowers; none were delivered but I was still charged. I filled out the online form, emailed customer service, and called many times. No one answers my emails, the phone is not answered and the call back does not work. I have been trying for a week and a half to get my money back. Terrible customer service. I sent emails marked as URGENT. Still no response.

For the third time, I have had a horrible experience with Grocery Gateway. Twice my order was delivered to the wrong address - now when the driver calls, I always confirm the address! Tonight, my order was over 30 minutes later, so I called and was on hold for over 20 minutes. The driver locked his phone and keys in the truck, so it will be almost 2 hours late. I have had to delay evening plans. It has taken more time out of my day than going to shop for my own groceries! I like the quality of the food from Longos, but it does come at a premium and a steep delivery fee. They did give me a credit for my delivery fee this time, but honestly, I can't trust them again.

Gateway gives priority to new customers for good reviews (via telephone survey). After that, you're lucky if they show up during your scheduled time slot or at all. And they won't notify you if they are not coming. Good marketing, sketchy service.

The website always has issues..always freezing and it take forever to order. Not to mention expensive! $10 each order so I spend $20-30 on delivery charges a month. Every other order, I need to make a report because something is spoiled in my order. The delivery guys are never organized and have to make 2 trips on several occasions because the forgot some of my order. I love the convenience of ordering online, but it has its faults:(

Do not fully understand some of the negative reviews. Started using the service during the 2020 pandemic which is trial by fire for any business or product. Orders were reliable but booking was difficult. In the middle of the pandemic they shut the entire service down for 7 days to re-tool it for higher demand. Gutsy, but it worked. That solved the booking problem. Have since placed over a dozen orders and very pleased. The one time they were late because of a problem on the 401, the driver called. Tried several competing services, including one that double-charged on advertised prices and none came close. This review composed July 2020 and the oddest thing of all is that produce and selection online are actually higher than the local store where I have seen stale produce on the shelves, something never seen before in 30 years.

Using them for 2 years now. Almost every time I see items in my grocery list that has been charged but not delivered. This is a form of stealing. What if someone doesn’t check their receipt. Then I have to wait 10-15 min on the phone to talk to someone to get my money back or they call to see if their driver forgot in his truck. This is crazy. I have spoken to managers and no changes. They should be ashamed of this service!!

We had one order delivered, and i have to say of all the companies delivering grocery items, they seemed to have the best products, and overall quality of things delivered. Sadly, and I know this is related to our current state of things, but delivery is no longer an option. Someone at their 800 number told me to put my order in at midnight because thats when new time slots open up. Hilarious,,, for the last 3 nites,,, midnight hits,,,,, site crashed.... 20 minutes later it works, and guess what?? all the spots are magically filled. Hopefully they figure this out soon, as there are more competitors doing this daily.

I've been happy with the service. The website could improve search function. I've tried to be very specific to narrow the search but it doesn't help. There's always a lot of items to scroll through. But saving my lists helps save time later when I want to reorder things again.The products, quality, freshness has been good. The drivers/delivery has been awesome. Always polite and professional. It's a wonderful service for ppl with limited time to shop, or don't have a car or have difficulty physically managing heavy groceries.

This store have worst delivery guys. These drivers don't have manners. I got delivery in Burlington. Firstly driver parked in fire route, and talked rudely to guard who recommend him to park in delivery parking. Secondly delivery guys are not allowed to come up in building. but your driver trespassed in building by pushing guard away who tried to stop him to get in building. It was the worst experience I had ever.

I've been ordering from Grocery Gateway for some time now. Overall, I am usually satisfied with this company; their service is efficient, the food a bit over priced, but the past two orders the produce I have been receiving was a little unsightly, and this most recent order was quite a horrible let down. It seems the fruit is beginning to rot. Has white and blue speckles, brown stains throughout and is quite lumpy. Unimpressed.

I’ve been a LONGTIME GG customer & ever since COVID, they started a policy of dropping off. I live in a condo high rise & at the height of COVID, I’ve been asked to meet the driver downstairs which I understand. But now that we are a bit more used to this pandemic, drivers of takeout food deliveries are contactless & being left at the front door. GGateway still wants me to come down not just to the lobby but at the city side walk! I pay $10 for delivery so I do not have to carry these usually massive orders I make yet they can’t come up the elevators and drop it off at my door. I’m trying to understand how they are different from any other delivery places around. This new driver was rude & simply said it’s their policy. He also didn’t wear a mask. I think I’ll be looking into other options for grocery delivery.

I found a few things I couldn't find elsewhere. When the order arrived, they had been substituted for absolutely NOT what I wanted. For instance, I ordered chili flakes. Very specific. They swapped it for chili powder. NOT THE SAME. I have lots of chili powder already. I ordered a life style cookie, they delivered a sugar loaded substitute that I DID NOT WANT. I am disabled been with this company 4 years. I was a bit nervous about grocery shopping online particularly products that are perishable such as milk, cheese and meats. My experience has been perfect, It easy to use the app or shop on any browser, I pick a 2 hour time slot between 7-9 AM and date for delivery and items arrive promptly at 7:00 AM with a ten minute friendly reminder from the driver. The products were in sturdy bags or boxes coming off a refrigerated truck. Best part a person does your shopping, transports it to you and carries it into your dwelling for only $9.99 the convenience that I was looking for. The drivers are polite and friendly. I am always impressed that they arrive on schedule. I have had to call in to the customer service department a couple of times and they are very helpful and obviously care about your needs. If someone makes a mistake they fix it. I am more than happy to endorse Grocery Gateway. Great job to all the staff at Grocery Gateway thank you all. Special thank you to Tim my driver who goes out of his way to be kind and helpful.

The food quality has significantly dropped in the past year probably due to covid. I regularly receive molded over food and holding for 1 hour to complain isn't worth it. The main issue with this service is the delivery. They steal food... and it's a LONG hold on the phone to get to anyone. If you email them about it, a week can pass without any response... no wonder. They charge you for the missing items anyhow. It's far too easy for any of the delivery drivers to take food at will and simply say they delivered it. Not worth using until they get a more reliable delivery system or a customer support service to deal with it.

The only reason I'm giving this a one-star today is because they offered me a promo and because there wasn't a window available for delivery I asked if they would extend the promo so it could be delivered the next day. Not my fault no time slots available. But rather than get $200 worth of sales they said no because they don't want to give me a promo for 9.99. That's poor customer service for a long time purchaser of over 10yrs off and on !! and not a very smart way to do business.

Got a quick delivery window and the groceries were delivered on time in good shape. Only one substitution, but it was a doozy. Instead of Canada Dry Cub Soda and instead of substituting Schwepps or a no name club soda, they delivered Canada Dry Orange Soda! Mmmm. Love Longo's, but I'll visit the store in the future.

I’ve been ordering from grocery for 7 years now and before it was great. The delivery service is still great but the quality of the products that I have been getting have seriously declined. There is no way I should be getting things that have already spoiled. I called to inform them that my packaged salad was already bad when I got it even though the expiry said more than a week after, the lady on the phone said that salad usually spoils within 2 days(which is the amount of time they guaranteed for products) which is ridiculous because I’ve bought packaged salad before and it’s lasted more than a week. Customer service did refund me but it’s been months now since every order I get there have been multiple products that were either almost bad or literally had mold on them and it’s not acceptable considering the amount of money I’m spending.

I personally enjoy their service. If you are a working parent and don't want to spend your whole weekend at the grocery store... this is perfect. Place the order online and chose the time its best to be delivered. I have never had any issues, the quality of the fruit/veggies is great. Service is great. They even offer $2.00 discounts for certain delivery times. So for $8 delivery, who cares. Prices aren't much different from an average grocery store anyways! Thank you GG, you make my life easier.

Update: Even with a note on your account their delivery drivers still won't deliver to your door if you don't live in a house. Grocery Gateway has some serious internal communication problems. Heads up, Grocery Gateway doesn't seem to care about the safety of the elderly and decided they were not going to deliver right to the door at retirement residences any more with NO notice after doing so with no issues for the last few months. Instead they dropped the groceries in a different building (across a large parking lot) and refused to do anything else, forcing my disabled grandparent to trudge back and forth several times in the cold to the populated building (risking COVID-19) so she could pick up $200 worth of groceries while also paying a $10 "delivery fee". We complained to their Facebook page but our comments kept getting deleted. They don't care. If you're at risk there is no point in using a delivery service that doesn't go right to your door, please look elsewhere. Update: The canned response being sent on negative reviews is frivolous. There WAS a note on our file in the first incident above. Support swore that the next order would be delivered to the door but the EXACT same thing happened AGAIN! To make it worse, after complaining again they promised to have someone come back to take it from reception to her door. 6 hours later with no follow up while perishables sit out. Grocery Gateway is a terrible choice for those who need reliable grocery delivery.

I placed an order more than two months ago. I've tried to arrange delivery over and over since that time. No delivery window available. I've probably tried thirty times. Never any window. Look, I get that they're busy with the whole COVID thing, but they should rent more trucks, hire extra staff. Or have a message pop-up saying "Stop wasting your time. We'll never be able to deliver your order." If you're looking to slam your head against a brick wall, then try Grocery Gateway. If you're looking to have groceries delivered, then try somewhere else.

I have dealt with Grocery Gateway for 5 years. I understand we are going thru a pandemic! Every order recently some of my stuff is not available. Very inconvient when you want to do laundry and your laundry detergent does not arrive. They charge you for delivery..then you do up another order..then something else is not available when your order arrives again. Also they do not deliver to your unit in condo anymore - i have a broken back. Talked to Teara at custumer service..She just took notes.. I will now go with insta cart!

Their produce is excellent. Their drivers are exceptional. Their computer programme is a deplorable antique. It should be replaced. Don't even try to fix it. It takes longer to shop on the computer than it does in person in a store. It may require searching through dozens of items that might not have any relevance to what you requested - and then never find it. Their telephone staff, that helps one solve problems, are superb. They are knowledgeable and pleasant and polite. The annoying little blurb that comes up when they do not have an item is infuriating. So, despite all the very good features of Grocery Gateways I will jump at the opportunity to switch if I can find a company that improves upon them. You can be sure they are on the way. I understand that grocery delivery/pickup services are under a lot of stress lately with everyone self-isolating, but changing the cut-off times for being able to modify your order without informing your customers of the new policy, is awful customer service. There are no available times to order pick up in the next 2+ weeks, so now I'll have to go without the additional items I was hoping to add to my order. Thanks grocery gateway.

Ordered from Longos Grocery Gateway and If you are looking to waste your time, this is the place to call.They have 2 hour windows for deliveries, but I am not sure why, as they have always shown up past the cutoff time. I have ordered 3 times from them and they have been late by at least an hour each time. It's one thing to be late once and awhile. But for it to be a regular occurrence, it seems to reflect more on the business management of the company. Especially, when you speak to customer service and they inform you that they are not sure when the items will arrive, just that you need to wait.... Take a hint from me and order from Instacart. They have same day delivery and won't waste your day.

In all my orders I've been impressed with the freshness and quality of the veg. (I've only ever been disappointed with one item ONCE.) Inventory is usually pretty good. Really bad service. Just received my groceries, with the payment option as "pay at the door", because for some stupid reason their website do not accept online payment with debit card. Then, for the second time, the machine did not work. Like, what could have been done in less than a minute (payment online), took about half an hour trying to make the machine work, and waiting, and blahblah. I was told then to call the customer services, tried several times, no one picked up. Then I asked if they would have to take the groceries back, they said that was okay, I could keep the groceries and keep trying to call the customer services to pay over the phone, as I did the other time it happened, or to reschedule someone to come here and try the payment again. Then alright, I started placing my groceries on the fridge and freezer and stuff, so it would not go bad, while I kept trying to call the customer services. Not nobody picked up, but after another half an hour, they come back and said they received orders to take the groceries back. I had to take everything back from my cupboard and stuff and return it, for god sake. Never gonna order again from Grocery Gateway! I have been doing online shopping for years in UK, and NEVER had problems like this. This is ridiculous.

Awful service, program glitched and duplicated my order, resulting in two deliveries at the same time, charged delivery fee twice ($15 x 2), had way too many items, (and a ridiculous grocery bill$$$) and was charged for three items I didn't receive ($22). Produce was on its way out. I've emailed three times to get a refund for the items I didn't receive and to ask for one of the delivery fees to be waived as I didn't place two orders... Nothing. It's been WEEKS. I'm going to contact my credit card company to be reimbursed since this shady service is intending to steal from me...

I have been a customer for more than 15 years and have noticed a steady decline in customer care over the past 3 years(before Covid).I purchased a gift card ,which was faulty. I was reissued another card, by GroceryGateway, however ,that too was faulty. I have since called and emailed several time, to no avail.

Takes a long time to get a delivery window, billing is all over the place, not taking calls or email but in their defense they are getting it right, it's just taking longer. [Update] I am not Grocery gateway's loyal customer anymore. They are going downhill. Late deliveries, frequent item missings, bad quality of the items. Very disappointed. Excellent service! ordered 24 4L of spring water. received 24 4L of distilled. then, when I notified customer service, they promised someone would come by the following evening. however at 7pm the next day I was informed "driver had a problem with his truck and would be by the following evening". following evening, no one called or showed up. when I called customer service, I was abruptly put on hold and there seemed to be some sort of communication barrier when I was talking to her.. it was very frustrating. I hung up and called back, the second person I spoke to explained they could not locate the driver on the GPS. I was put on hold for a long time again. I got fed up. hung up. called back and demanded to speak to a supervisor where I was informed that the order was never even loaded on the truck in the afternoon. It was 8pm already and I had 24 4L of the wrong water cluttering up the landing of my bottom step by my front door. With a family of 7 I had no room for this nonsense, and needed it picked up ASAP. 3x They messed up. The customer service is HORRIBLE. the supervisor was nice, but the regular customer service need to learn how to deal with the public. they seemed very inexperienced. I was promised a 20 dollar credit by someone on the social media team, which I never received.

The owner of the company ask us to send e-mail to their customer support to pro vide us with solution and delivery our food order to our door. We did send e-mail 5 day ago. In 5 days NO ONE from Customer support contact us. Food items were not delivered to Senior since January 10, 2021. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR FOOD DELIVERY!!! If possible I will give them ZERO for delivery service. My husband is Senior, over 70 yo with health condition. We always have problems with Longos independent truck drivers from Longos. Today driver simply did not deliver our food order with bread to our house telling that his large truck can not drive to our driveway - too slippery- and his supervisor advise that he can not push INDEPENDENT driver to deliver our food order with bread via truck or just simply by walking to our front door porch . We have deliveries from wallmart grocery and Amazon 2-3 times a week and never get any cancellation from drivers. I am attaching picture of driveway and porch with marks left by previous truck deliveries. Longos drivers always LATE and do not want to come to our porch with goods ordered. Supervisor is no HELP. She just ask us : you want to cancel your order ??? Also they are lying to customers even on his web page - look at their comment attached - senior lady complain that they did not deliver to her door and longos representative - owner made a comment 3 weeks ago that at Longos they are making accommodation for seniors by delivering directly to senior's door . 3 weeks later - still not delivery to Seniors directly to the front door porch

Everytime I have used this service, it has been incredibly difficult and there is always technical difficulties when adding a credit card fro payment. This service has lost my business. I have been trying for over an hour to place a grocery order with absolutely no luck. I tried calling to place the order over the phone and I was waiting on hold for 30 minutes with no response. Wow. The most horrible experience with Longos grocery gateway and will never order from them again. Items were substituted for other items WITHOUT BUYER CONSENT and my credit card was charged. When I tried to contact customer service via phone, I was on hold for 40 minutes on a Friday at 1pm. Ridiculous. How can a business think this is okay? You need to inform the buyer of changes before charging them.

This company takes advantage of seniors because it is the only grocery delivery service that accommodates phone ordering. Grocery gateway is over priced and limited product selection. Not only that but the phone ordering process is very unorganized and unreliable, you spend an hour placing an order and then they have no record and it doesn't exist when you call to confirm when it is supposed to be delivered. Customer service makes everything sound like your error and they are short of patience and not helpful or accommodating. ALSO the products are not fresh and we got milk that expired a week after being received, their "freshness guarantee" is only 5 days. Basically this company relies on seniors with fat wallets who have no other choice but to use them. I wish that other grocery delivery services were more accommodating for seniors, but for now Grocery Gateway continues to get away with this nonsense.

This is not at all something that is expected from a large company like this. Very disappointed in customer service false advertising. I recieved my order on friday. Online when I ordered it said order "Gaucho Ranch Dulce De Leche Milk Caramel Spread" recieve 1 FREE Kraft hazelnut spread sample. They backordered the FREE samples. So we called customer service and they said they ran out. And we will not be getting them. So we accepted substitutions, they said sorry first come first serve. So it looks like they just want your money and dont stand by what they advertise. They must improve their customer service.

The big reason I am writing this message is that I received a new personal credit card and it became comprimised by using this site and they still have not responded to my email I sent in. The staff are very pleasant but the store deliveries can be hectic. The phone number on the sign was not being answered which means I had to go into the store which defeats the whole purpose. I also had an issue with the store and social distancing inside by the employees. There was no space for a customer to pass through to the exit. The employees where gathered around the starbucks and talking (no social distancing) and leaving a 2-3 foot space for customers to pass through.

We ordered a second time & things were to be delivered Monday evening but they called & said they wouldn't be there until about 10pm, so we rescheduled for tonight (Thurs) between 7 & 9. Will not be using them again. I ordered a case of oranges $65 because my brother in-law bought me one before and it was actually good. When my order came, 20 of the oranges went bad in a week. I had the other case for close to 2 weeks and all were fine. I called into customer service and they essentially said it was my fault. The rest of fresh produce I had did not go bad except for the oranges. Very disappointed with their customer service. This will most likely be the first and last time I order here.

Wonderful service. Especially good for people who have mobility issues. Fair pricing - remember someone does your shopping, transports it and carries it into your home for only $9.99. If some of the individual prices on items is slightly higher, so be it. The convenience is fabulous. The delivery people are polite and efficient. I am always impressed that they arrive on schedule. I have had to call in to the customer service department a couple of times and those women are very helpful and have obviously had training. The company even has a number to call for people to place an order over the phone. That way, people who don't have access to a computer or aren't able to use one can take advantage of the service. Easy review to write. Happy to endorse Gateway. Thankful for the service they provide.

They don't really seem to be setup for e-commerce - and this is not a last minute covid-19 brought idea -grocery gateway has been around for a long time. The search feature returns countless of irrelevant items. You spend a long item browsing thru inventory only to learn at the end there are no time slot available for both delivery and pickup for at least two weeks. Who plans grocery shopping two weeks ahead? When I picked up the order I only got half of it (other items were out of stock) - which I understand happens, yet no prior notification. The items don't come from a warehouse, the store staff picks them for you - from the shelves - seriously? On the day I picked up mine was the only pick up order for that day and store - yet they had no pickup times available. Go figure.

I give 5 stars to staff who work for the company. Is only 1 star for management. I hear from my wife is one billion dollars you make in sales, so why no do good for staff. To give them gift card for gas, Timothy Horton's, maybe for the zoo or even to you company. I was happy when I am hear you do something special to you my wife and and all her friends. She come home and is not looking too excited. I am ask why? She tells me no thing for them to feel special, the little round cake with paper on it bottom. And colourfully sugar on top. This is not children in grade 2. They are adult hard working people. Some staff have given to you their birthday, their wedding anniversary, children graduation they missed to be at work and you know many have over 20years in company back to before when was on army base location. This is not a good place to work. They don't respect their staff. Many of us work in cold areas and are not given work coats, we are told to buy from company. They claim it is not a factory or warehouse it is a fulfilment centre NO NO NO. In fulfilment centre customers and staff feel fulfilment. So many staff are not feeling this. They claim that third party server is confidential...... WHY MUST I LOG INTO MY COMPANY ACCOUT TO FILL IT OUT? NO PRIVATE at all, maybe they think we were born yesterday. If your home is like this shame on you, but you do this at work and it will bring the roach and rat. Maybe it go home in our lunch bags. Maybe managers no care about this. They will care if is shipped to the customer though, RIGHT?? DO WHAT IS RIGHT, no cleaner on the weekend? Ewwwwww very bad. I wonder if we are call the media or government to see WHAT REALLY GOES ON if that is the only way to change management. I think this is nasty bathroom toilet blocked sometimes no clean on weekends for we have no cleaner. You tell staff they can not talk to the other ones while working, are we slave or servants? Many do not tell you cause they are scared of trouble or problems after. Please be nice. Longos take over and buy the company now maybe change will come sometimes it feels like nobody cares. Do you care about staff on here. Tears fall sometimes when I think about life in here and the way I am treated like nobody. I have people who love me and help me to know I am somebody. Problems with every order, items missing, damaged, short dated, expired/spoiled. Would not recommend to anyone. Update: complained yet again to customer service re short dated items (2 days before best before on a shelf stable item) received in my last order, after about a week I finally received a response that they were sorry about the ‘inconvenient’ expiry dates. I have been delivered properly spoiled and expired food several times, and all they do is issue a store credit. Nothing changes. Save your money and shop somewhere else.

I am again very disappointed with Longo’s/Gateway delivery. The first time, my order never went through, and upon calling the help number, it was fixed, but I was wary. This time, I chose my groceries. Items kept disappearing from my list, and the quantities kept changing. I finally got my list, and my delivery was short many items. I called the help number and it was “too bad, so sad”, so I have to pay for another delivery. And of course, there are no available delivery slots until Wednesday (today is Sunday). This is my last order, I am fed up with this system. I wish I could have left a 0 rating, one star is too much.

I can’t believe how great this service is! I was without a car for a few days and needed groceries. I tried Instacart first l but I ended up cancelling with them after 30 annoying texts during work hours telling me they didn’t have anything I ordered. I decided to call grocery gateway because I remembered using them in the past. They came on time with the friendliest delivery guy that wouldn’t even let me tip him lol, so sweet! All the food was exceptional because it’s from Long goes and I was surprised at how cheap it all was! After this experience I’ve decided not to do my own grocery shopping and to continue using grocery gateway for the long-term. Learn from my experience and don’t use Instacart! Grocery gateway all the way!

Due to the pandemic I have been experimenting with online grocery order either delivery or pickup. This company is rather misleading. When you are booking your order they tell you that you can adjust your order up until a specific time. When you go to do that they tell you that you could loose your time slot and would need to book another one which are not available. You are therefore stuck with your order as originally ordered or risk losing it all together. Definitely not a great service. Walmart, Loblaws, Fortinos all much better and allow you to make changes while keeping your time slot.

Horrible experience recently!! Received so many unfresh items in one order! moldy organic grapes, moldy blueberries and two box of milk which will be expired in two days and two package of bread expired in two days!! Bad customer service!!! people working there just do not care at all. They agree to refund the money for milk and moldy grapes and blueberries , but not for bread, and told me the bakery freshness guarantee is two days. Anyone would like to purchase packed bread which will be expired in the next day?!!! Also, when I received my order, raw meat are placed in the same bag with fruit!

I am diabetic and had a regular pop substituted for diet pop. To me they are no the same product. I would have been fine with another brand. When I complained their customer service rep Melissa could not have been more unpleasant and then she hung up, I will nor b shopping there again. I have tried Costco, Amazon and Walmart and they were all great and had lower prices and shorter delivery times and were easier to access. I was really pleasantly surprised at the quality of meat and veg at Walmart!

No prior warning of this, and was the most important part, the whole reason for the order in the first place. It was kitty litter which is heavy and she needed. Called customer service - apparently 2 days late for the 7 day guarantee - to report problems with a delivery for my birthday party. The organic raspberries and strawberries were bad, the eggplant was rotten, there were no mushrooms and MOST IMPORTANTLY all 5 of the lobster were full of roe! That means that the lobster were caught illegally and not able to lay their eggs and repopulate the lobster beds. In trying to advise Longo's of this problem, the 'customer service' rep denied that the lobster were full of roe - how would she know? - and hung up on me! Terrible service! Unethical practices! Don't use this service. Put a mask on and go to Metro or Loblaws for yourself!

I have been using Grocery Gateway weekly since the onset of the COVID-19 situation. I have been spending approximately $300/week, which is more than I usually would spend on groceries, but worth it for my family to have the ability to get our groceries delivery to our front door. The food is fresh, the delivery team are very professional and always arrive within the time slot and sometimes are early. Initially I was ordering fruit and veggies from GG, but switched to ordering from the local little fruit and vegetable store that is close to my home as they have same day delivery (for no additional charge) and I wanted to support our local businesses. In addition, the fruit and veggies from our local fruit and vegetable store are amazingly fresh, more so than from any big chain, and priced very reasonably. When I started ordering from GG, I had to secure a delivery window three weeks out, which was a huge challenge. On several occasions, I had to wake up at 2 am in order to be able to schedule a delivery date because if I waited until the morning, all the slots were taken for the next 3 weeks. Early on, the few times I updated my order, I lost my delivery slot, but as GG was able to upgrade their system, I am now able to make updates to my order up until the day prior to the scheduled delivery. And, even better, I can now schedule a delivery within the week. While on occasion some items are not in stock, in general, GG was able to fulfill my orders as placed. Substitutions are, for the most part, very reasonable. The few times the substitutions weren’t reasonable, I spoke to customer service and was provided with a credit. Although there are long wait times to talk to a customer service rep, I found that if and when I did, they were very helpful and very courteous. Thank you Grocery Gateway for your overall amazing service and support.

Their delivery service during pandemic and customer service is non-existent. I'm in shock. I arranged for delivery 1.5 weeks ago for water and toilet paper. Water I can not carry. The delivery screen didn't indicate that they no longer deliver to your apartment door. So I placed my order. I reside in a small building that is cleaned daily and allows only 1 family in the small elevator at at time. The delivery guy refused to bring to outside my apartment door and left with my order. I'm over 50 years of age had car accident 2 years ago have sore back and out of shape. No way could I bring those 4 cases of water one at a time to my apartment. I called customer service to see what they could do. 1.5 hours I was on hold no one answered - I gave up. The next morning I tried again same thing on hold to long - hung up. This to me is unequitable. Some consideration should be made on a case by case basis. They have more chance of infected me that my building and I have of infecting them. If they wear protective gear I don't see an issue with providing to people that require it. It isn't right that people who reside in houses get outside door delivery and people in apartments in some situations don't. I needed this order and the other 2 I booked later in the month. Now I have cancelled my orders. This is grossly not right. Shame on you. Also I need to find out if they are processing the payment through my credit card. Can't take care of that because they don't answer the phone.

UPDATE: GG offered my parents a credit of $27.40 for their inconvenience and promised this would not happen again. They made a special note on mom's account (see photo). So, my mom agreed to give them another try. Well, SAME THING HAPPENED. The grocery order today (Feb 19) was delivered downstairs again. After a phone call, GG promised they would get another driver to deliver to the door. That was at 2:45. As of now 7:10 pm, the groceries are still sitting downstairs. Among the groceries is milk, salmon and other perishables. THIS IS BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. I cannot believe this company is still in business. I am so MAD AND DISGUSTED at Grocery Gateway! My parents live in a retirement condo in Mississauga on the third floor which is a separate building from the main building. My mom has had back surgery and my dad is blind. They have been ordering through GG for a few months. GG have been delivering to their door. Today GG delivered to the downstairs reception which is out of their building and across the parking lot. The doorman was told GG is NOT delivering to individual units anymore. WHY WERE MY PARENTS NOT TOLD!!?? My mom did 5 trips down the elevator, across the parking lot, through snow and -10 degree weather, with her bundle buggy, to the main building to pick up $200 worth of groceries PLUS SHE PAYS $10 DELIVERY FEE. This is absolutely disgusting! The whole reason they order from GG is for the delivery TO THE DOOR. On top of that, she had to enter a retirement residence during covid while we are under a lockdown and a stay-at-home order. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GG AND WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO USE THEM.

The groceries were well chosen with both vegetables and meats well representing what was listed On Line. The invoice was accurate with no hidden charges. The one star missing is due to the fact that out of 4 cheeses ordered, 3 were out of stock. It's really a shame that Longo's bought out Grocery Market because GM was the best delivery service in the GTA. NOT ANYMORE! Grocery Gateway's website is too full of Flash animations and complicated menus and graphics, which makes it frustrating and time consuming to shop, as you have to keep clicking "show more" hundreds of times and wait for the page to load. Menus and products are a disorganized dog's breakfast. Their "sort" feature is useless to weed out the items you don't want, so you're forced to scroll and scroll and scroll past disorganized junk to find what you do want. Every department listing is full of items which do not belong in that department, for example, the dog food section contains numerous baby food items which you are forced to waste time scrolling past because they can't be filtered out. The fresh vegetable section is full of canned and jarred goods that belong in the Pantry section. Their selection sucks, especially for pet foods. Pet foods can't even be found unless you do a keyword search. They don't carry cat litter at all (at least not that I could find), nor do they carry canned dog food. I used to buy large bags (8kg +) of cat and dog food as well as cases of canned cat and dog food for delivery from Grocery Market. Grocery Gateway offers none of these products. Fresh produce is poor quality and grossly overpriced. I was charged $6 for three non-organic apples. I thought I was ordering a whole bag! They sell NO bulk items, so if you use grocery delivery to buy heavy items as I do (I'm disabled) forget about shopping at this place. If they only carry light weight items then it makes no sense to spend the extra money for delivery and pay their outrageous prices, just go to the store in person. The only reason I gave them any stars at all is that they offer fast delivery and have longer opening hours.

So I'm not someone who used the service once or twice and was dissatisfied. I'm a long-time customer of about 3yrs for this service. In the beginning the service and quality of food was amazing, but that has all gone downhill since. Also in the last year or so the number of times the groceries have been late in being delivered is huge. Late by 30 mins to an hour, which can really throw off your day if you have things planned! Every time I was the one who had to reach out to customer service to see where the driver was. I left feedback numerous times about giving the customer a courtesy call when the driver was going to be late, but this never happened. And nothing was ever offered as an apology - not a discount or anything. Once the driver was an hour late and I was told it's because the homeowner of the last delivery was late getting home so the driver waited for him. The driver waited for an hour??? What about good service to all the customers AFTER the late homeowner? Then there's the quality of food. In the beginning I used to order pretty much all my groceries online, but I noticed about a year in that the fresh food - milk, fruit, bread, etc... - was becoming of horrible quality. Bread that went bad in a day or two. Milk with a very close expiration date. Fruit just disgusting - either all bruised up and squished, or leaking in the case of things like raspberries. I stopped ordering fresh foods a long time ago and just stuck to the packaged stuff for the last couple of years. This past weekend I again had my groceries delivered an hour late. No one called me, and customer service didn't seem to really care. So I'm out. There's other food delivery services out there now that are affordable and have better reviews, so Grocery Gateway can suck a big one. PEACE OUT!

This was my first time trying this service and I am deeply disappointed. I appreciated the freshness of the meat and produce that was picked for my shopping experience, I really did not appreciate the amount of plastic bags that I received. Almost every 1-2 items even the small ones had their own bags! This is overkill and companies should be held accountable for such a negative contribution to the environment. The plastic bags arrived by truck within crates. So why not just pack items in crates, save the plastic and allow people to unpack and then take the crates back to get sanitized if afraid of cross contamination. Also on my order online I specified no substitutions and they gave me 6 substitutions, that is not what I wanted and now I have to pay for it. Also 1 item was said that it was delivered and I actually haven’t received it nor I received a credit as of yet. Will not use again.

Have ordered twice now from Grocery Gateway and we love it! Everything has been fresh, delivery has been within the time requested, and delivery driver very pleasant. Only concern was that when I ordered a weight watchers meal, the weight watchers tortillas were replaced and this kinda defeats the purpose of the meal. :-)

Really great service up until a couple of weeks ago! I have used this service for approximately 3 years now with no complaints. We've had fairly regularly,the same driver, Darrio, who is awesome, with a capital "A"! I shop for a residential group home...I feed 11 people weekly, so we spend a significant amount of money... It is nearly impossible to access the website and when you do, delivery dates are WAY in the future. ..I waited 1 hour and 10 minutes to speak to Cutomer Service last Wednesday when I couldn't modify my order online. So disappointed in you Grocery Gateway! I get that these are difficult times, but you've had a couple of weeks now to make adjustments to how you do business.

Items missing. Driver acknowledged this but didn't care. Nobody answers the phone. Don't depend on these people. EDIT: Email was sent and completely ignored as well. SECOND EDIT: email replies refused to help or acknowledge the problem, instead demanding I call. Calling gets one put on infinite hold with no answer. GG are basically just thieves at this point; this is how they've chosen to handle a sloppy mistake.

My first order, veggies were not what I would have chosen and you cannot rely on all the things you ordered to be in the bags; something are not available but you only find that out on delivery, no text or email! So if you have a specific recipe you were going to make or you are hosting a party your ...... out of luck.

IF you wany products which constantly come spoiled, dirty, damaged, and expired go ahead and shop here. Custumer service is horrible to deal with . If there was 0 stars that is what they would get. PLUS they run a scam with their delivery fees making slots available only after midnight so they can charge you their same delivery fee versus the next day delivery fee.

We've shopped at Longo's for several years and appreciate their selection of fruits, vegetables and cheeses. I realize these are unique times but their online service needs to up its game. No available store pickup times, ring busy all the time on their customer service line and after four weeks of trying to order, the items were removed from cart as out of stock. Basic items to improve this service 1. Their website needs way more information about pickup times, number of store pickups provided per hour and why there are none available; 2. Customer service line needs a queue instead of a ring busy along with a "leave your name & call back number" option. Probably lots more to improve but disappointing impression for Grocery Gateway users.

I tried Grocery Gateway once and was very disappointed. Difficult time to get a delivery slot. I only received a third of my order. Everything else was out of stock. The website needs better inventory management. Very very frustrating.!! Received an order form Voila today. 100% fulfillment and an overall great experience. The driver team member really cared about making sure I was satisfied. Also, their website is very easy to navigate.

Update on the following negative review: I indeed 'reached out to customer service' with my full story and they did absolutely nothing. They even got the order number and time wrong, and declared the delivery arrived on time.... Again, that says it all about customer service.... I've been using grocery gateway for the last 20 years, yes, believe it or not, back when it entered the online grocery busines. But things have been slowly getting worse, with customary late orders, missing items, and now, with the last order which arrived late, I called customer service to find out if the order was arriving and was told they wouldn't even credit the delivery fee, which was done before. When I asked the driver what happened he said, yeah, I'm late, do you want your groceries? like, wow. Last time, I guess, I ever use these guys...

No delivery and no answer! We ordered food for delivery on Xmas Eve and despite receiving notification that the food had been dispatched, nothing arrived. We tried calling but nobody answered - I guess all staff left early to go partying despite lockdown! Tried calling on Boxing Day and left our number for call back - but nobody called. Tried again and had to wait a long time for an answer, but didn't want to risk the call back option again. #0 min and nobody has answered. Clearly Longo's doesn't appreciate its customers, keeping everyone waiting for so long. I will be shopping at Loblaw's from now on.

Worst delivery and customer service!! I was supposed to receive my groceries form 1 to 3 they came at 4:30 and I was late to pick up my daughter from daycare!!! They ask you to be at home to Pick up or you will lose your money and pay restocking fees of $25 and they don’t respect their time!! My first and last time using this service. I ordered online to be delivered to my neighbor because I'm sick in hospital. Delivery window was 6:30-8:00pm. The driver showed up at 9:45pm. He should not have had to wait so long. And offering a refund of the delivery cost doesn't seem fair enough to me.

I honestly do not understand some of the poor reviews because the staff go above and beyond for their customers and I have never had any issues with their produce. My orders are always fulfilled with a fresh produce selection and we will continue utilizing them.

Responsive to any issues that might arise, which is really good customer service. I'd have to say that sometimes the fruit is too ripe for the quantity ordered (like you'll get 8 yellow bananas that will start to spoil tomorrow) and I've also had a few perishable items come that are like a day before their "best before" date. Overall however I'm happy with them and continue to use them.

I have used GroceryGateway for many years but the policy where they can't deliver groceries to your door when you live in a condo unit when you are physically blind is enormously frustrating. They have zero empathy for blind people as they just refuse to answer support emails regarding this and make an exception. Sadly, I am no longer a customer and never will be again.

There were some teething problems two month ago when I started receiving deliveries. All of my issues were solved by customer support. Now service performance is much better. What is more important, no other company delivery to your door fresh bread and organic fruits/vegetables.

So far horrible service! Ordered food yesterday that was supposed to be delivered between 4-9pm the following day. No food delivered. Called to follow up, they advised they made a mistake but cannot deliver food tomorrow because we are no longer in the queue. So not only did we miss getting dinner, we now have to wait another 24 hours???? Give me a break. Still on hold waiting for Esther the Supervisor to take our call. Even Walmart is better than this company!

My elderly father who is low-vision just spent well over an hour filling in an application and placing a detailed order (his first) only to be told there were no dates available. We understand that the company is likely overwhelmed with increases in demand but surely you could let people know That there are No available time slots at this time BEFORE they fill out all this information!
