The jollof rice is not only flavorful it’s also served in good portions and has a hint of firewood smoke similar to the Nigerian party jollof rice. Also you can’t come here and not get the amala and gbegiri!! The best I’ve tried so far in the GTA!!

I've walked past this place for some time and never quite realized it's a Naija restaurant until I Googled it Nigerian restaurants in Misissauga. Was delighted to go in and order. The jollof rice was great but the chicken wasn't quite right. Appreciated the two mints included. Haven't seen butter mint in a hot minute. lol. This restaurant offers good value for money and portion was quite large.

The moi moi was good. The jollof rice however had a burnt taste and was not spicy at all. I had ordered chicken with the jollof but I think it they gave me turkey instead as the bones were really big. One of the two chicken also was so rubbery and tough that I couldn’t even chew it properly (like squid).

I got the Ayamase a few weeks back and it was really amazing. Subsequently I got the amala with ewedu and assorted ,that was nice aswell. I recently purchased the Fried rice , Jollof rice , Whiting fish and turkey. Unfortunately it didn't meet the expectation they had set with the other meals. The fried rice wasn't too tasty, could have been a bad day. Overall, a decent place to get food from as they don't use too much oil to cook.

Ameens Catering is an outstanding African/ Caribbean restaurant when it comes to getting maximum satisfaction for delicious meals. I work in brampton but drive here to Ameens Catering just to get my lunch. I came today with my friend for lunch, we ordered pounds yam, jollof rice and ofada rice and the 3 meaks were right on point. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We also enjoyed the special drinks. Great food at a great price! I especially love the gbegiri and ewedu. Ameens Catering is strategically located between Huontario and Dundas, Mississauga. Reasonably priced good food and drink. Lots of dining room seating, with plenty of High Definition Screen TV's to give yo something to do after ordering. The menu favorite that keeps me coming back is the pepper soup. Really tasty, nice and hot, perfect for a winter night. Always glad that I decided to go and happy that I went. Madam Maryam was my server today. Very attentive and helpful, but not pushy. Always nice when a restaurant succeeds because of its staff and not in spite of it. The atmosphere is a little more calm and under control. The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend it Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything! We had a great lunch today, and will be back again tomorrow! I’ll be sure to let you know in advance before we come again. Thanks again for all your hard work and consideration Conclusion, if you ever find yourself anywhere around mississauga do not hesitate to give them a trial as your visit will remain ever fresh in your memory, it's less than 4 minutes drive to square one. You can also take advantage of their online delivery platforms, like skip the dishes if you are so far away.

I went for it around a month ago and it was my first time trying it and the plate I got literally like someone forgot it on the stove and 100% burned, like I was eating a piece of cloth on fire was disgusting I was surprised if I did it in the home and it got burned like that I would definitely throw it away, will never try it again so irresponsible

Authenticity, quality, and quantity. Large portions of delicious Nigerian food to justify the heavy price. I’ve tried almost every dish by now. This restaurant introduced me to Nigerian food. Efo Riro was last dish I tried, and I really enjoyed it. Full of flavour, perfect level of spice, delectable and savoury. Ewa Aganyin is my favourite, but the Efo and Egusi with pounded yam are close seconds. Just be careful when choosing your protein, Assorted Meats comes with a really chewy and hard to eat cow tongue, but other than that, incredible journey into Nigerian Yoruba cuisine and I can’t get enough. Very glad this restaurant opened so close to my house. I’m looking forward to trying the Amala, the Okra stew, white rice and stew, egbono maybe and definitely trying Ewa, Egusi, and Efo again.

This place is the worst place, ever. I ordered food for my birthday weekend and my friends didn't eat it. The chicken was stale and hard. I was so disappointed. I spent $99.45 and my friends complained that the chicken was so tough and it was so disappointing, because honestly I really trusted them to make fresh and good food because I have ordered here before to give to my parents. I am just really sad and disappointed, because I wasted money and I was so EMBARRASSED. I called to have this resolved and it was approached with yelling and I asked to leave the party to bring back the food and unfortunately, as the host I was unable to leave. It really left a dent on my birthday weekend and the fact that a resolution was not given hurts even more. My friend wasted gas and time to go and get it. We were left with no chicken and egusi and pounded yam. I had to go and order wings from a pizza shop near by. Customer service is key and I have never got hung up on. Lastly, the Egusi had no soup in it and it's just really a shame.

Will definitely return and advise my friend and family to come as well. The opening of this restaurant is the best thing to happen to the Afro-Caribbean community in the GTA. The customer service is top notch and I feel like being at home. Highly Recommended!!!????????

Far and away the most disgusting and revolting restaurant food I've ever tasted. The jollof was somehow burnt and undercooked at the same time. I promptly received a refund from Uber eats for this travesty after sending in a picture of the food from the trash bin. Do not listen to the fake reviews of this restaurant likely being written by the owner. If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

We ordered jollof rice, eforiro and moi, moi. The customer service from the telephone order to the same day home delivery, was excellent. When the food arrived, the presentation was excellent and the meals were very delicious. My order came with a special surprise which I will not share with you. I was in the area and noticed the restaurant. I was excited because I was longing for some jollof rice. When I entered, I smelled something burning. I continued to the counter to ask what was available and mentioned it smells like some thing is burning. The staff at the counter said nothing was burning and advised only rice was available, no soups. I ordered jollof rice and turkey. When I got home and opened the container low and behold the rice was burnt. I could have ordered something else if the staff was honest-i mean, it happens, instead I had to toss it and order something else. I enjoyed the butter mint candy.

Best Nigerian restaurant in Canada hands down! The rest na yeye food. If you don't try Ameen Kitchen you are definitely missing out. Food is authentically made exactly like a home cooked food. They have numerous options Monday to Sunday. Customer service is always on point, not like the other yeye naija restaurants in Toronto with awful customer service. Go and check it out!

I really love this place but this is the second time I’ve found a small hair in my food! I’m so excited to get it and then this happens. This first time I went in with a friend and there was a hair in our soup. We did not say anything because we felt bad and it was so good. Today I ordered again and there was another hair on meat in my egusi. Please be careful and take cleanliness into consideration. Now I’m turned off.
