A few days ago, I ordered brisket, beans, mac n cheese and banana cream pie. It was a surprise for my husbands birthday and he loved it! Everything was so, so good!! Having lived in the southern states for a number of years I was spoiled with great BBQ and they do not disappoint here. My favorite is the brisket hands down and the apple beans. Amazing.

Separation of salad ingredients was great and showed sensitivity to those who are gluten free. Pork was a little dry and could have had more sauce. No margarine or butter for the buns. Overall, food was tasty.

Haven't had bbq like this since we were in the states. Their wings were so good we ordered a second batch. Pulled pork and their 2 soups are also good bets. Had trouble finding the location as Google maps didn't show it. You might need to go to their website and get the actual address to gps. We ended up calling and getting it that way. Very clean place with exceptionally friendly staff. Pro tip: talk to Jason the owner. He's very friendly and chatty. Loves talking with people about food.

Our first visit to the Blue Haze BBQ to see Max and the crew totally exceeded our expectations. It is easy to see why they win so many awards. My wife and I shared a full rack of their famous ribs. Let's just say this. There is no better Ribs in Manitoba than the slow smoked BBQ RBS at Blue Haze. We are huge BBQ ribs fans and the the sides were perfectly portioned for two people to share. ( I could have eaten the whole rack myself). We will be returning with the in-laws in the near future. PS: Make sure you leave room for The Mile High Banana Cream Pie made with real Bananas and fresh hand made whipped cream. You will be licking the plate as it is that good. The Blue Haze BBQ is definatley worth the short trip from Winnipeg. Keep up the great work everyone. David & Pam

Great barbecue some of the best in the province. Be warned the owners are pro-choice for vaccination instead of looking out for the public, this makes me question whether their staff is even vaccinated and I would not eat from a place with unvaccinated staff. They are refuse to validate or check vaccination and have closed down indoor dining and are encouraging people to make their own decisions about vaccines regardless of public health concerns. I ordered a full brisket yesterday along with 2 pints of potato salad for an early fathers day out door get together. The food was FANTASTIC. The brisket smoked to perfection while the potato salad was creamy and delicious. I will most certainly order from here again and I highly recommend their food for any occasion. Just delicious. They have a merch corner, a freezer corner with soups and meats, they have awesome gluten free choices, and the front counter had amazing goodies too! I'm very happy, and I WILL be going back!

We had Blue Haze cater our wedding and they were beyond amazing. It wasn't your typical wedding food and our guests couldn't stop raving about how good the food was. We actually referred Blue Haze to some of our guest for their upcoming events. The Blue Haze team was very friendly and easy to deal with; no issues with communication. The food is very reasonably priced and tastes amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for BBQ food.

100% best bbq I’ve ever had! Will definately be back, sooner than later! Restaurant was immaculate, clean, and well decorated. The waitress (I wish I knew her name) was ultra attentive, friendly, knowledgable, and always smiling. Gave great suggestions when we had questions. We sat along the prep/cooking area and he was fantastic too! (Sadly didn’t get his name either). Extremely outgoing, friendly & a wicked smile!! A personality like his is important in a retail business! This brings in repeat business. Loved the laid back atmosphere! I will recommend this business to anyone & everyone! Loved the food, I had a pulled pork sandwich with cornbread and banana cream pie. The cornbread was a little dry and could have been a tad sweeter. If it was warm with butter it would have been perfect! Overall the food was fast and delicious and reasonably priced.

Hands down the best BBQ in the area, including anywhere in Winnipeg. I have been ordering from Blue Haze for the last couple of years and the food is consistently great, the meats are amazing but the sides are really incredible as well (seriously try the beans). The homemade garlic sausage and beef jerky are also a real treat and are vac sealed ready to go. I am looking forward to some patio time here, sitting outside with BBQ and a cold beer is one of the best things ever!

We had the pit master platter. The brisket was moist and smoky and so tender you can cut it with a fork, the pulled pork was divine. And the ribs.... fall off the bone with a hint of smoke and the house made sauce wasn’t overpowering just a hint of heat and sweet. All the sides were amazing especially the cinnamon apple baked beans the potato salad creamy and dilly. If you haven’t been here you have to come. It’s real bbq made with integrity and love and time.

Just walked into Blue Haze at 3:25 STARVING with a long evening shift ahead of me, and I was told they close at 3:30. It's a bit far from Winnipeg but it's worth the drive to Beauséjour to get a slow smoked bbq brisket, ribs and cooked in their homemade sauce. The briskets has perfect amount of marbling and the ribs are tender and not dry. They cater and have a food truck in the summer. Blue Haze has won many BBQ competition and I can see why.

Our first visit exceeded all expectations! Great service, awesome value and ohhh, the food! The brisket melt was outstanding and my husband says the meaty ribs were "the best I've eaten at any Manitoba restaurant!" The only disappointment was that they were sold out of their famous mile-high banana cream pie... but that's all the more reason to go back! Dinner was so good on this Friday night, we just may have to return on Saturday!

Ordered 2 pit dinners. The chicken was under done and red inside. The ribs were tough and burnt ends were not edible. There was no brisket as advertised. This was $75, include taxes. I have order in the past and it was delicious although expensive. I do not recommend.

Portion sizes were good and the quality of meat was amazing. The cornbread was the best I have ever had. I will be stopping in again every time I'm driving through.

People talked about the food all night and are still talking about it! Their staff were phenomenal!! We will for sure cater another event with them! We ordered "Pitmaster Platter" and I can say that it is worth an hour drive. My favorite is the brisket, potato salad, coleslaw and the corn muffin! Good food, good customer service. There was just a mistake with the order and the pick up time, though it didn't matter much because of the friendly staff. Thank you so much! Pretty sure we will be back soon!

Was looking so forward to trying this food truck out today in Pinawa but, even though it tasted good we were very disappointed with what we received for what we paid. Brisket on a bun was $14.00, half rack ribs (5 ribs) $14.00 did not include any sides as they were extra but, they had no sides to offer when we went at 6:30 pm.

My Husband and I along with the Owners of Nutimik Lodge stopped in there for lunch. The outside of the building looks dumpy but once you walk in and take a smell of what's cooking in there your mouth starts watering. I had the pulled pork on a bun with the coleslaw on the side. My husband had the Chicken Wings. Dale had pulled pork and Carol had the Beef Brisket. OMG IS ALL WE HAD TO SAY. We all had a sample of everyone's lunch and we all agreed WE WILL BE BACK. The portions are just big enough. I give this place 2 big????????UP.

We go there for brisket and ribs at least once every couple weeks. Our 1 year old daughters favorite is the corn bread. Always great smoked meat, great service, great food and they even have liquor now - have a blueberry beer with your meal! Best food in Beausejour!

My second favourite restaurant in Beausejour! I know it's a close choice for many. Enjoyed grabbing the brisket BBQ box and sitting out on their patio this summer. Great portion sizes, taste, and value for money. Will eat here again.

DO NOT do business with these people! Our family arranged an event with them but had to cancel due to Covid-19. However, before Covid-19 was even an issue their communication and customer service levels were the absolute pits! Weeks went by with unreturned voicemails and emails. This has gone on for MONTHS. The owner claims it's because it's a family run business and they only have so many people, if you're running a business and plan to cater events you need enough staff to run your business efficiently!!!! This is certainly not the case here. Someone clearly needs to go back to school to know how to run a restaurant/catering company efficiently. If you are a prospective customer I urge you to heed my warning and take your business elsewhere. Save your time and money!!!! This is a best of Manitoba experience. Best bbq I’ve ever had! Had the pulled pork platter. Serving size was good, price was reasonable but most important the food was amazing. Without a doubt this is the best bbq I have ever had. Absolutely worth the drive from Winnipeg or detour into Beausejour.

Wouldn’t recommend….. Went for my wife’s birthday last week we ordered the Thursday brisket special ($25ish)and a B-Town Club($18ish) as well as two waters and a Coke to eat on the patio. We were expecting glasses of water for free but were given bottled water and just charged for it without being told, our $55.00 meal was brought out to us in a cardboard container (would a couple plates and some cutlery be to much to ask for? If I wanted McDonalds quality service I’d have gone there). We were told if we wanted cutlery or napkins “it’s over there on the garbage can help yourself”. I asked where is the corn bread and was told it’s been discontinued, funny the price hasn’t changed though and the food was just ok definitely not worth $55. Oh and I’d suggest you make your own potato salad rather than using that mass produced stuff from Costco.

Customer/ Fan (can restaurants have fans?) turned part time casual employee for the catering crew, so I have a very diverse perspective to share, but its very simple: Everytime I have the food, its phenomenal. Everytime I serve the food, people are smiling and excited to have it on their plate. Once they've eaten, they are satisfied, and sometimes more than that... they seek out the staff to express how much they've enjoyed it. Everytime I go to the restaurant, it's clean and the service is great. The food tastes fantastic and looks great. They also treat their employees great. From all angels you can feel the passion, the technique, the family and the love in the food and in the atmosphere. These people have made this delicious meat their life and it SHOWS. This is a DESTINATION and you just need to try it.

I first tried Blue Haze food when they catered my nieces wedding, and was really happy when they opened and then expanded their take out and dine in business. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Blue Haze is one of the best barbecue you will find anywhere (and I have had Kansas City. Barbecue)! All the meats are smoked on site and done to perfection. My favourite dish is the brisket, but frankly I have never had a bad meal at Blue Haze! From delicious and unique soups to all of their home made side dishes, this restaurant/catering business is top notch! It is rare to find a restaurant that makes so much of their food from scratch, and it sure pays off in quality. Prices are in line with the quantity and quality of food you get, but with the exception of a full rack of ribs, everything is well under $20 for a full meal, and sandwiches sit around the $10 price. Well worth the drive to Beausejour!

I stopped in for a quick to-go meal half an hour before close and the owner was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant has a very cool atmosphere and the food is unreal! I can't recommend this place more. It's definitely worth a trip from Winnipeg. Edit: as a paramedic who's worked on the frontlines of the pandemic for the past 18 months, I can't support a business that doesn't support vaccinations. It's unfortunate that this business has decided to take a political stance because their food is quite good. That being said, I do respect their decision, I just won't be spending my money here. Edit 2: I support the first part of your statement, that being that you're uncomfortable checking vaccination status. The part that irks me is that you're encouraging other businesses to "stand up" and protest the restrictions. Your decision to protest the restrictions and make this a political issue is where you lost me as a customer. Again, I respect your decision and wish you the best.

Stopped in for my first visit to Blue Haze BBQ on a Thursday for lunch, which happened to be the brisket. EVERYTHING was spot on. I chose the coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans and cornbread for sides. Texture and taste all were great. Good portions, great prices and all-round amazing service. Its worth the drive to Beausejour just for Blue Haze Barbecue.
