I live in the Lunenburg area and usually shop here as it is close by and the bigger of the 2 supermarkets in town. Every time I shop, however, there is usually some item I cannot find - whether they are out of it or just don't stock it. Today I had a particularly infuriating experience. Among other things, I bought a bag of carrots (reduced 50% from $3.99) and two little tins of sweetened condensed milk - marked down to $1.50. Now I usually watch as the checkout person scans and or have learned to check my receipt BEFORE leaving the store. This evening I was tired and did neither. When I got home I found that c-out person had not reduced the carrots AND had charged me $15.00 for one of the cans of milk! That's $17.00 overcharge! So back I went (1/2 hr round trip) and then it took the woman trying to return my money forever. She had to go through it several times to get it right. Again, if I hadn't been watching and told her that it should add up to $17.00, she would have given me, by her initial calculations $15.50 back. This kind of BS is not acceptable! I know we're all human and errors happen, but it's a little too frequent at this location. Check your receipts!

They really need to offer more organic fruits and vegetables. In addition, they need to be sure to check the produce more often to eliminate overripe produce. But they do continue to add more specialty items, which is welcomed, and the checkout staff is friendly and efficient.

They always make fresh salads there and I like them. The Save Easy is a good local store. Although, their stuff is rather expensive. But, I can't do anything to change that tho. If you're a local in Lunenburg that wants to shop for groceries and can't find the item in Foodland, then this is the store for you. And, it's also great for any local that wants to buy chicken and/or freshly made salads.

This is a great grocery store, just the right size to have good selection but not so big that you can't find what you are looking for. The only down side I can think of is no fresh deli (but a fair selection of pre packed meats).

I like this store. It is easy to get around in and you don't have to walk a mile to find things . The employees are always willing to help you or even go get things for you. The prices are a little higher than Bridgewater but It is less than half as far as it is to Bridgewater.
