The Duo of fondu of parmesan and goat cheese was a good next course, with both cheeses being very smooth and tasty. For entrees, the veal sweetbreads on pasta was fantastic. Our server recommended that I do the preparation of the sweetbreads based on the appetizer, with balsamic and mushrooms. I took her up on the suggestion and the sweetbreads were so tender and satisfying.

The approximated amount of time people wait here is 1.5 hours, my party waited 2+ hours. This wouldn't normally be a problem, if the staff would have notified us or reassured us our meals were coming. Also they need to go light on the salt. Pros: ambience and meal presentation is great and live music is a definite plus. Cons: everything discussed.

Aux deux lions guests beware. It came highly recommended by our innkeeper. Be prepared for 2 star service/food for 5 star prices. Enough said...fine dining in the heart of quebec city this is not.

Food Was Delicious. I ordered the Gnocchi with Halloumi and Caramelized Apples in a Cream Sauce. The Gnoccho had a fluffy interior with a crispy exterior, and was very good in combination with the smooth sauce, semi salty halloumi, and the sweet caramelized apples. Ambience of the restaurant was great, and I left with a smile and a filled stomach. Be prepared to pay from 18-49 per person however.

We actually went there twice in our four day stay. The first night my meal was amazing. A veal in mushroom sauce, beautifully presented, tender, wonderful vegetables. The sauce was very flavorful but yet light. The second night I tried a pasta someone had recommended. It was good, but nothing special. I wonder if the Saturday night chef was just better than the one on Monday, when the restaurant was pretty quiet. Still definitely worth going to.

Excellent cuisine, great service, a real treat to end off my Quebec City experience. Worth the 15 minute walk to the Montcalm neighbourhood. Perfect fusion of French and Italian and appreciated the smaller size entree offering. Maître d, Kenneth and server, Melodie were charming and perfect ambassadors to the city. A five star review for this great restaurant!! Felicitations.
