The service is warm and welcoming, the food is great (from the meals I’ve tried), atmosphere is perfect with that small town feel. I definitely would recommend this place! Oh and those homemade fries though ????????

Just moved back into town, I was happy to see that Santa Fe is not only still here, but the food is still fantastic! We ordered the steak special and it's a great deal for $15, cooked perfectly. Kids loved their meals, and our take out bag was filled with lots of little treats for them. Looking forward to many more visits.

We've only been in Deep River for a few months, and hadn't tried this restaurant yet. Yesterday, as it was very cold, I thought I would try their chilli for my wife and I. I got it to go. They advertise a cup for $6 and bowl for $8. What you see in the pic is a bowl for $8. When I got home and opened the bag, my wife and I had to give an involuntary laugh at the size of the "bowl". It reminds me of the Styrofoam side containers you get coleslaw in at KFC. The chilli itself wasn't as thick as I prefer, but that's fine. My main complaint would be the size of their chilli portions and the price they charge for it. Honestly, I'm not sure I'd expect to pay more than $4 for a bowl that size.. not $8. And if this was their "bowl" size, I can only imagine what size their $6 cup is. Neither one of us is going to be in a hurry to revisit this restaurant based on this. [Edit] Sorry for the same photo 3 times... Google didn't show the photo when I uploaded it so I didn't think it took.

I love the authentic mexican cuisine and the friendly staff. I often make the drive from a distance and go out of my way to eat here when I'm able. Friendly staff, fabulous food and cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The homemade soups are incredible too! Highly recommend.

Little restaurant in a motel. Not sure about 5 star ratings. Service was excellent, food was okay. We had the po-boy sandwich with a Caeser salad, the beer battered fish and chips, and 4 orders of poutine. Poutine wasn't on the menu as an official item, but was available as a side substitution. Hence great service. The kids enjoyed their poutine and the fries were good, but the fish was tasteless, and the sandwich was decent. Don't know that the price reflected the quality or quantity of food. We likely won't return, though admittedly there seemed to be several "regulars" in the restaurant. Drinks had free refills and they gave the boys a treat at the end, a candy from a chest, as a little parting gift. Truly service was great, just wish the food matched it.

While traveling across Canada this fall, happened up Santa Fe Bar and Grill in Deep River, Canada. Excellent Tex-mex food! We are from Texas and really loved the taste here - from salsa to quesadilla to taco salad in a flour tortilla bowl! Service was great, weather beautiful fall and was able to dine outdoors. An overall wonderful experience!
