I usually go to Metro for top-up shopping and it is always a pleasant experience with helpful, friendly staff in every department. The store is clean and well-organized. My dog Charlie always likes to see Brad who loads up our groceries at the drive-thru.

This location has the best butchery in the area where the beef is aged at least 2 weeks: more flavour to the meat and it is more tender. They have just redone the store lay out and included wine and beer. Friendly staff remains. Their pricing on most products is not the best in the area, but their selection is very competitive. One of my 3 regular grocery stores in Orleans.

When getting meat from the deli make sure to check the label to make sure they charged you properly. I went in today and asked for 200grams of Schneider's blue ribbon balogna. Foolishly I left and paid without looking but I realized when I got home I'd been charged for premium smoked turkey. Whether it was on purpose or simply an oversight who can say? Just letting other buyers know so they don't get caught like I did.

Staff always smiling and ready to help and not oy they pack your grocery but their is a drive through too where they put the grocery you just made in your car without having to touch one bag ????????????

Love this grocery store. Yes the prices are a bit higher than most, but the selection is different than all the other stores in town. Produce is good and the premade meals are cheaper than takeout. Not good for a huge grocery shop, but s good place to pick up a few things, or a fancy meal.

Very neat, clean, well laid out store. Tasty baked goods. Fresh produce, sandwiches and prepped single serve salads. Prices are steep, I stick to sales. Excellent for those who may require help with bagging groceries and only place that has curb side pick up for your groceries. The deli salads are so good and worth the coin, after having salads in local restaurants that have skimpy servings or rotten lettuce with a huge price plus tips...I go to Metro, Thank you so much, it is the closest I can find in quality as if California was next door. Way better than Trader Joe's or Whole Foods!

This grocery store has an old fashioned feel compared to others which is nice. At the same time I find the prices do not reflect the quality of product (for ex. FRY'S Cocoa powder is $7.99 per). They offer curbside pickup via call-in and email orders on certain weekdays for those unable to shop independently - this is not a universal service. A big plus is they will load your groceries for you at a drive up area after you check out and they are centrally located whereas the other groceries in town are not. They have helpful staff, offer bulk items such as nuts and dried goods, and they do great cakes, it is where I go for cakes here.

Maybe because I moved here a (few months ago) from a larger city I am just unaccustomed to the smaller stoes, but I found Metro to be lacking in selection. This is as compared to my previous experience in a larger city. The illogical layout in the store - same as every Metro I have ever been in - also causes you to travel the entire store trying to gind things. While others may enjoy this I do not. Overall. A frustrating experience.

Good meat and baked goods. No lines during covid so far. Groceries loaded in totes and sent outside for drive up and loaded in your car by attendant. In store pizza kit excellent value has all the basics dough cheese sauce and pepperoni. Sometimes has other extras as well. Also great premade sandwiches and other in-store made meals.

For over 40 years, my elderly landlady has shopped at this location starting when it was IGA, then Moncions and now Metro. The pandemic has caused her to have to stay home, so she has been unable to go out to purchase groceries for herself. Even though there is Wednesday delivery, sometimes she forgets to plan ahead or is too tired to cook, so on other days of the week, she's asked me to pick up hot deli meats for her. (I don't go into stores to keep her safe). There have been one or two very kind ladies who have allowed me to do curbside pick up for her on other days, but tonight, the general manager Kira refused to offer this service and said nobody should be doing this. I was left with the impression that the considerate ladies are going to get a 'talking to' and will be told to stop helping out my landlady. This is what an 88 year old gets for over 40 years of loyal patronage. SHAME ON YOU KIRA!!

The cashier was sweet as well as the girl bagging. The ypumh man in veggies helps me out all of the time. He is so pleasant. I have to stress how amazing the older gentleman is that loads the groceries. He is above and beyond helpful, respectful, kind and very sweet. I appreciate his help and personality. The drive along the highway is beautiful even in the rain with the Trees changing color...usually park by the Marina which is located on the Ottawa river...just to sit and enjoy the view.. There's a rest spot in Cobden. On the way to Pembroke..its a park ...so good place to stretch your legs ..public washrooms..right by the water....

Your regular kind of grocery store. One definite area where this location loses marks, is the steep decline that is the parking lot. You can't take carts out of the store for safety reasons, I suppose. Good selection of products and friendly enough staff.
