First time eating there and I already in love with the place. Amazing decoration and it smells like my grandma’s kitchen. Delicious food, but the price is not reasonable. 15 dollars for a regular size burger with two toppings (you gotta pay for each topping :/ like if you order a burger, it’s just a burger and the bun unless you pay for lettuce and everything)

Tried to order a burger for $8.99 and was told an additional $1 for each topping.. $1 for tomatoes, $1 for lettuce ,$1 for onions... yea, I didn’t end up getting it. :( got the Caesar salad and ended up with iceberg lettuce and stale croutons for $7.

This was the second time we ordered catering from Baran. Once again, the food was excellent and prepared with immense care. The taste and quality were exquisite. Our families loved the food and thought it was one of the best meals they have ever had. We will for sure order again!

Fantastic experience. We ordered the monthly special for 20 for a family gathering. The presentation, portions and flavour of every dish was exceptional. Everyone in our family from young to old loved all of it. The portion sizes are huge so we had lots for everyone for dinner and lots leftover for everyone to take some home with them.

B I N G O ! What a pleasant surprise. How I found this place. Returning home from home depot I had made a right hand turn prematurely. At the corner of my eye I see a sign. I couldn't see the entire sign but remembered 3 words" real fresh food", so quickly made a U-turn and decided this is what I was having for dinner. Being a food critic I had a good feeling about this place. As I opened the door to step out of my vehicle I quickly noticed the front entrance beautifully manicured and clean. At this point I was confident I had made the correct choice. As I entered I the restaurant everything inside was perfect Clean, excellent fresh ingredients table, quality restaurant equipment and the attention to detail you simply cannot teach. The owners restaurant flyer is excellent with alot of thought to what customers want. Lastly customer services is at its highest standard. I realized then, they were just as passionate about food as I was. I give BARAN 10/10 excellent healthy options at family affordable prices. A model for all restaurant establishments. Well done Baran, top notch.

I tried their Kebabs all in one order last Saturday and they were all good. What I liked about them was their passion to work on details and organization and cleanliness. The owner was nice enough to give me free samples of other foods to try and they were also good. I would definitely recommend to try them.

Fantastic homemade true Persian cuisine, something tastes like food back home, that I have never found in Canada for the last 10 years no matter how hard I looked for it. I tried the lamb shank and it is definitely recommended.

I've been here a handful of times, as it is very close to my office but the Chef, should stay in the back cause he as ZERO people skills. Don't ask for a modification to your meal because if you do, prepare to be charged $3 for a piece of lettuce or be scorned with cuteye, curt and rude comments from the Chef Nader/Owner and his grouchy toady Eddie. In the world where opposites attract, his wife is delightful, full of smiles and a pleasure to deal with. My suggestion, Nader leave your self inflated ego at home, brush up on your customer service, if you had any, stay in the kitchen and leave your wonderful wife/master chef to deal with customers. I get that the sandwiches are made on site but why does it take 10 minutes to prepare? $8 BLT Bagel - dripping in grease maybe consider drying the bacon off instead of pan to bagel. $10 Chicken Breast Kabob - better hope they went to the bakery that day or prepare yourself for a stale bun I have had good food here, but I'll never return because of the service. Oh, because I work in the area and from the neighborhood, I'll be warning all my colleagues, family, friends that Baran Cafes doesn't deserve your business. You get better customer service from a 14 year old in a Tim Horton's drive thru.

It was a little hard to find because the entrance to the parking lot is not facing the storefront but eventually found it. Delicious food here and smells really good too. I had the beef kebab and it was amazing. Portion size was decent and kebobs were flavourful. They have a bunch of other foods that I will need to come back and try. They also have sandwiches, breakfast and drinks.

I never tried their food, I'm guessing its good .but I called today to get some prices and the guy on the phone talked to me in a rude way. " You want to ask me all the pricing one by one over the phone?!". I only asked him about 2 foods. So I did not like the way he interacted with costumer. But lots of luck to them :)

Ordered Take out lunch today for our group of 5. The food was well presented and a healthy portion. I had the beef and chicken with rice and salad. I was only able to finish half of it. The food was flavourful and I enjoyed it. Service was quick and friendly. They was ample parking and the place was clean. They also have a breakfast option which I am planning to try out. Food is reasonably priced.

You know what! You couldn't make this yourself a home. My clients love it when we grab our lunch here and they always bring it up when they are in town, to the point where they don't want to have meeting at my office on Mondays because Baran is closed! No joke!

Just left Baran with a home burger to go. Our lunchroom is having LED lights installed today and consequently dimly lite. This what they sold me. (practically raw beef!!) I didn't see it under proper light until I was about half way through it. If I am sick because of this I will be pissed.

Unfortunately I have to give your establishment a poor review. * I cannot give less than a 1 star, but if I could, I would, as there are no positive things to say. A coworker of mine contacted Baran Catering to confirm space and availability for a Tuesday morning team breakfast. She received an automatic reply indicating that she will be contacted by someone shortly. This was approximately 3 weeks ago.(May 24 2017) She never heard back. In spite of this, we decided to go this morning as their was a sign on the street indicating that they are open for breakfast all day, staring at 9am. When we arrived at 915 there was no one there. We tried calling the number on the sign; no answer and voice mail was not initialized. It is very disappointing that a small business advertises a service that is not actually available.

VERY POOR I just bought 3 portions of kebob here, unfortunately i was so disappointed. I waited 45 minutes for the food, I wish it was worth it... The kebob was burned and like a piece of rubber, rice portion was so little and salad horrible. After 45 minutes waiting, she couldn't stop answering her phone for 1 minute and pack my food properly and finish my transaction. Worst place I have ever been in the last 25 years that I live here.

There is a sign outside of Baran Restaurant indicating "Best Veal in Town". I would have to agree with this statement!! I have purchased the veal from Baran for numerous family occasions.I have has rave reviews from everyone who has had it. It is so tender and has a delicious flavour. The staff are super nice and recognize you when you walk in to order. I have purchased a number of items from the menu at Baran's and have never been disappointed with any of them. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. It is so nice to have such a great place to get food from at a reasonable price in our local town.

I have tried their Breakfast as far as I am concern its the best breakfast in Aurora. Try the Baran Breakfast with scrambled eggs! its amazing the presentaion is just right. And their strawberry jam is really good. Also tried their catering all was really good I will certainly do it again. Food is all good and their rice is amazing too. Try it you wont be sorry!!!!

I absolutely love Baran Catering! I work nearby and pop in at least twice a week to grab take-out for lunch. The food is delicious, Nader (chef/owner) and his wife are lovely people and the atmosphere is very welcoming. If you are looking for a cozy spot to have breakfast/lunch/dinner I highly recommend Baran! I have never been disappointed by any meal I have had from there. Also, as an added bonus, their prices are extremely reasonable for the quality/quantity of food :).

Ordered take out,. Barg (sirloin) was black colour and tasted funny with loads of pepper and salt.. was obvious meat was super old, being a regular I called the store and spoke to the man who claimed to be the manager, he basically outright denied that anything was wrong with Barg, however inadvertently mentioned "they don't sell many Bargs" and therefore "they're freshly made" , which makes no sense. Told him to have the owner call me, he never did. This experience is from a while back, when the store first opened food and service was promising, we even ordered catering a few times, but then things went downhill and they lost my family's business.

Had the pleasure of tasting Baran’s food both catered at an event and at the restaurant. As a resident of Northern California, I didn’t expect to experience Persian food of such high quality in Canada. All I can say is the food is fresh and tastes like homemade. We tried appetizers, kabobs, and stews. I really appreciate the freshness and attention to details and I was not disappointed. Anyone who cooks Persian food or has tried Persian dishes, can recognize the taste and quality of Baran!

I ordered a couple of months ago food for my party. It was terrible,awful food. The food was not only cold, but also so stale. Unfortunately some of my friends and my guests were poisoned and botulism. I could not say anything regarding customer service...

Ordered takeout on a Friday night around 6 ish as I was getting home. The long plastic container takeout presentation was beautiful though it disguised the smaller rice portions than typical for Persian takeout and didn’t keep the food as warm as the standard styrofoam. The koobideh (ground kebab) tasted like it was cooked in an oven rather than on a grill and had an almost boiled meat flavour to it. Not the usually bbq Smokey taste expected. We got two meals from here and another two meals from another Persian takeout in aurora on the same night to compare. Of the two from Baran we only ate one. The second meal sat in the fridge untouched for a week until I threw it out. The restaurant/ cafe was also a little overpacked and unkempt with a wide variety of slightly stale looking pastries. Not very welcoming. Overall would not return.

The owner is extremely rude, impolite and moody. He is definitely in the wrong business. I suggest him take a good customer service course. If he continues treating customers this way he will lose many customers. Even though the food is good but because of his very impolite attitude I decided not to give him any more business.

Wow! Lovely service, amazingly delicious rice with fresh berries. The chicken leg koobideh and beef koobideh and grilled potatoes and grilled tomatoes - everything was perfect. I'll drive out of my way to come back here. I am a Jamaican who is often told that I am a phenomenal cook... OK, I am. And I am very fussy about my spices being perfectly balanced. This is for every palate that likes exquisitely delicious cooked and presented food. This is now my go to restaurant for Iranian food. Yummmm Yummmmmm! It's worth the drive to Aurora.

The best Persian restaurant in Aurora. Food quality is exceptional. Just trust me on this one. I know because I tried many places before I became a regular customer here. Their catering is also really good. Whether it's for a small friends and family get together weekend or for a fair size B-Day, or any other occasion party, Baran knows how to cater. Very disappointed. I am posting on behalf of my mother, who frequented this restaurant quite regularly because she wanted to support them. To be honest, they are dishonest. My mom and her partner went to the restaurant and they ordered water with their food. They came out with bottles of water, which they said was due to COVID, which is fine. She paid, and later realized that the bill seemed to be a LOT higher than what she ordered. She went to the restaurant the next day to try and see why she had paid so much more, and although the owners were inside the restaurant and SAW my mom knocking, they just ignored her. The restaurant was supposed to be open at that time. She only realized later that the reason her bill was so much higher, was because they had charged her FIVE DOLLARS for a bottle of water... she only found out that they charged this much for water through another Google review. They could have at least told her the price of the water or opened the door when they saw her. Not nice at all. Frankly, just disappointing.

I would like to thank you the owner for the delicious and healthy home made food. I have been visited the restaurant few time in a week since 2016 and every time I visited there, I feel like a home. I really like their stew( ghormeh Sabzi and gheyme) and also like all kebabs. Their tastes are very good and homemade. Turn over time is fast and very friendly customer service. I highly recommend this location and try Tach chin( my favourite one).

I work nearby, so I walked over one afternoon to see what they had. It’s a nice little café, with plenty of space to sit. It’s clean, and nicely decorated. It looked like maybe the owners were working in the kitchen, and when I approached the counter, the woman came out and greeted me. I wanted a cold coffee drink, which they didn’t have, but she offered to try and make me one. Really nice of her to offer, but I declined this time. I’ll definitely come by for lunch sometime, and update my review.

Kobideh was burnt outside ,raw inside and tasteless.Nothing to compair to other Persian Kebob house. Chicken kebob had no flavor. Rice is low quality Basmati that looks like pasta more than real basmati rice. Never again.

Baran was one of my favorite restaurants. We visited there almost once a month before COVID and even during COVID we ordered their food by Ubereats etc. However, I was very very disappointed with their service. I ordered a chicken breast kabob ($14.99) and Koobideh beef kabob ($11.99) and they charged me $36.42 instead of $30.49 incl.tax. So I revisited the restaurant next day to ask about the charge but the door was closed even though it was 11:30 am on Thursday. (They were supposed to open from 11 am.) I looked inside through the door and the owner couple was there. He saw me and waved to me so I waited for him to come to the door for more than 5 min. but he never come to talk to me. So I left eventually. After that I found out by one of the Google reviews that I was charged $5 for a bottle of water (a Costco bottled water that would cost approx. $0.50). When I had a dinner, I asked the server (the owner's wife) to bring a glass of water that is usually free in Canada, but instead she brought a bottle of water, which I had no idea that would cost $5. Anyway I was totally shocked to know that the overcharged price of a bottle of water and I was so disappointed at their service.
