We would absolutely recommend Dutchman's Caterers to friends, family and anyone inquiring about a catering company for a wedding or any celebration. My husband and I live in Spain and started planning our wedding in Burnaby, BC Canada well in advance. Tina Gold was our contact and she was so friendly and professional to work with. She made everything so easy and was very accommodating every step of the way. The food was excellent and service outstanding. Throughout the night of our wedding (August 5th, 2017) and even to this day, our friends and family, and of course ourselves are still talking about how delicious all of the food was. If you are looking for high quality food at a reasonable price, then Dutchman's Caterers is definitely the way to go.

Dutchman's catered my wedding this month and I couldn't be happier with the result- I highly recommend them! The presentation, variety, taste, serving staff, it was all done perfectly, they really outdid themselves. They are one of THOSE caterers, that will not refund a deposit for a wedding that had to be postponed due to COVID. Why keep our deposit? You didn't have another event for that date because they were all postponed/cancelled.

Great Caterers! I helped my friends with their wedding/reception & enlisted Dutchman's Caterers based on their great reviews. Initial response was prompt as was all communication, fees were clearly defined & very reasonable, staff were always cheery & professional, food was excellent (we had one of the smorgasboard w/desserts, highly recommended), during the event they were clean, organized, efficient and discreet. They even accomodated some required menu alternatives. If the opportunity arises, I WILL use them again!

Dutchman's Caterers recently catered a buffet dinner for our company's staff conference event. The presentation was beautiful, the staff were courteous and efficient, and all of the dietary concerns for 90 people were addressed with an abundance of options. I attended a wedding just over a week ago and they had chosen to use Dutchman's Caterers to supply the dinner for their venue. I am glad they did because the quality of food and service was exceptional. The meals that were cooked included salad, pineapple rice, chicken, ribs, among others. Myself and everyone at my table really enjoyed the food and thought it was awesome. Furthermore, despite the current pandemic we are living in during the time of writing this review, in no way was the service or foods quality negatively affected. The two staff that were there, I believe one was the event manager Tina Gold, wore masks the entire time and also set up in a way that allowed them to do all the work they needed to do at a safe difference from everyone else. Another thing I thought was awesome was even though the wedding took place in a backyard they still came around and collected everyones dishes. I wanted to write a review so that if anyone was looking for a caterer for their event they might find this information helpful. I would recommend Dutchman's Caterers to anyone looking for good quality food at one of their events.

They cooked our wedding buffet during the biggest blackout in BC hydro history! No, power, cooking by flashlight with only gas stoves, 100km hour winds, trees falling, rain, yet they still managed to cook the most amazing food for our wedding. Our guest said it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had. One of their employees even had a tree hit her car and she still managed to make it to work. Tina and her team were extremely professional and accommodating. There is no one else I'd rather have to cater a special event. Thank you again for pulling it off and making our day so amazing under those extreme weather conditions.

Dutchman's Caterers are fantastic. Tina and Mike responded quickly whenever we had questions, and were flexible with scheduling a new date with us when we had to postpone our wedding due to Covid (with no additional charges). This is the only caterer we enquired with that offered a free tasting, simply because they were confident that after tasting their food, they would win. And they were right. The food at our wedding was delicious. Service was ontime, exactly as ordered and the caterers were very professional. Several guests said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding and our guests lined up for second and third helpings. Their price included all dishes, glasses, and cutlery. The best bang for your buck out there! We whole-heartedly recommend Dutchman`s Caterers - and a huge thank you to Diane, Karen and Tina B. for their exceptional work on our wedding day, and for making the dinner extra special.

I attended a New Years eve event , catered by Dutchman Catering last night and was truly impressed with the food! Being a foodie myself, I am not easily impressed, however the food was delicious. We had the Dutchman cater our wedding 2 weeks ago. We couldn't be happier with the service and food. All of our guests were commenting on how good it was. From the initial contact, Tina was amazing. She always promptly answered our questions, made changes to our menu (more than once) and offered advice on meals, seating etc. Our day ran smoothly and I would like to thank all the servers for their professionalism and friendliness. They were truly outstanding, It was so nice to see smiles on all their faces and they were so kind. I was able to personally thank a couple of them but I don't think I got to all of them. We booked Dutchman’s Caterers for our recent wedding. Not only was it a decent deal but they were able to accommodate a fully plant based menu for us! We had so many guests (who are not plant based) tell us they couldn’t believe how delicious all the food was. The staff were so efficient we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Highly recommend! My husband and I hosted our wedding at a community centre where a lot of items had to be brought in ourselves. Tina and the crew were highly responsive in listing out the length of tables, utensils, table cloths, etc. that were required to make our big day a success. Their outstanding service left the catering as an area we didn’t worry about once on our big day, and we felt we were in good hands from the very start. The Dutchman’s team provided us with customer service and quality food that was truly second to none; they really went above and beyond what we ever expected from a caterer. Tina and Mike were always quick to respond to my emails, and were flexible on our menu choices which we really appreciated. They also made sure to double check all the details pre-wedding to ensure things went smoothly on the day-of. On the wedding day they went out of their way to make sure some of our more demanding requests were met – they even won over my grandpa by sending him home with a little taste of their horseradish! From the delicious array of hors d’oeuvres, to the best mashed potatoes and horse radish we’ve ever tasted, to the wide variety of desserts in their dessert buffet, everything was expertly presented and absolutely mouthwatering. The food was A-MA-ZING and many of our guests are still gushing that they haven’t had food that good at a wedding in ages! Their excellent pricing, superb service, and thoroughly delicious food makes Dutchman’s the way to go. With a well deserved 5-star rating, I would confidently recommend them to any bride.

The food was excellent and well priced. I had no problem with that at all. My fault with them was they took all the food leftover! I paid for thousands of dollars for food and I’m arguing with them on my wedding day to pack it up. They didn’t and they walked off! Not cool at at!!!

We have used Dutchman's Caterers to provide boxed lunches for our staff 4 or 5 times now. The variety of food within the boxes has been great, and the people are friendly with reliable service. We would definitely recommend their boxed lunches to other companies or organizations. Our staff always enjoy them!

I booked Dutchman's Caterers for my August 2021 wedding during the thick of covid restrictions. They were so incredibly helpful in understanding that we didn't know how many guests we would be allowed to have. Luckily, we were able to have our full guest count and every single person at our wedding loved the food. I am vegan and my partner eats meat, and Dutchman's Caterers were able to create a menu that was perfect for us both! Throughout the planning process, Dutchman's Caterers had so much patience and were very easy to reach. I will be recommending them to anyone I know getting married. I can't wait to eat their vegan gnocchi again!!!
