John and team were very easy to deal with and helpful! This was the first our company ever had a catered event, and it was on fairly short notice. 5 Star worked within our budget and parameters, and delivered excellent food with professional service. We'd definitely use them again!

5 Star Catering is TRULY 5 STARS! I was managing an event in Surrey last month. This event was a part of a very special national tour for Canada 150 with a post reception afterwards for 200 guests. Two and a half hours before our event, we found out our caterer had mixed up the days and thought our event was the next day! On a Monday night during dinner time, no one was able to pull off such a big event this last min. I randomly came across 5 Star Catering and a man named John picked up the phone. I explained the whole situation with him. He listened patiently and explained to me that they had another event going on and they were very busy but he did say that he would consult his chef to see what they can do. Needless to say, with only an hour to work with, John and his whole team put everything we needed together - food, utensils, plates, chaffing plates, warming station - and we ended up having a very successful reception. The food was amazing, but more than that, I want to point out that John and his team were absolutely EXCEPTIONAL!!! They cared about our event like it was their own. They were professional, accommodating and so wonderful! I cannot thank 5 Star Catering enough. If you are in the Surrey or Vancouver area, you want to work with them...they are 10 STARS in my opinion!

They call it 5 Star Catering for a reason! My husband and I could not be happier with the service, attention and detail they provided for us. They go above and beyond to make sure your guests are comfortable and enjoying themselves. The food, desserts and fruit are exquisite. My guests were talking non stop about how delicious everything was and how professional they were as well. I HIGHLY recommend them. I attended a wedding at this venue! It was a beautiful event and the room was very nice! The menu picked had something to please everyone and it was just delicious!!! The buns were warm, the salads, too many to choose from, really and the hot foods, oh my goodness! Yummy chicken, the tastiest salmon I've had in awhile and the beef was oh so good! Cook perfectly!!! The staff all seemed to know their job and worked around the room efficiently all night long! I definitely recommend this place if you need a place for a catered Event, can I come, please?

I know how they got the name! This crew is awesome. They look after their customers like they care! We've hired them twice now. First time was a quickly arranged event in the parking lot at work. Even in short notice, Lana and the crew put together an event that looked like it had been planned for months. The second was a retirement party at a spacious residential setting for thirty people. Five Star did an exemplary job, serving our guests like royalty and leaving every body pleasantly fed and happy. The food was excellent and the service was better. If you are looking for a caterer, Five Star is an excellent choice. I will not be looking for a different outfit to cater our next event, these guys already have my business!!

With all the covid restrictions that randomly popped up, my staff Christmas party was cancelled and I had to figure out everything so quickly. This company was able to provide an amazing service within 24 hours. The food was great and the service was amazing. 5 star catering catered my backyard wedding and they were amazing! There were many reasons why I liked them so much such as: -Food was awesome! We went with the deluxe dinner buffet as we thought it was the best bang for your buck and it really was. We thought the food was delicious and so did all our guests. -Pre event customer service was great. I had a lot of questions and back and fourths with the staff and they were always patient and extremely knowledgeable. The pre event meeting with John was really helpful too! -Event day staff were great! With Covid 19 I was a little worried with how a buffet would be handled, all of the staff were amazing and friendly the day of our wedding. They really went above and beyond. Overall I will definitely be recommending them to all of my friends getting married in the future. Awesome company!

Attended the White Rock Elks New Year Party catered by Five star,terrible meal,Roast Beef inedible,all beef was Rare blood running everywhere,lots of complaints,covered mine in gravy to hide the blood,couldnt even cut it,gravy tasted powdery,potatoes cold, Chef cutting the meat full of the cold,sniffing constantly,we have an AGM on Tuesday and i will be recommending we never use this company again,

This place was mostly great, everyone was nice and helpful, except Cathy. She ran the bar at a wedding and ended up double charging for drinks. Wine was only poured once, and even though the hosts asked twice to have another round of wine poured before speeches, they neglected to pour more wine so most people, including the head table, had nothing to toast with. Those that asked at the bar for wine, which was supposed to be free to guests, were told they had to give up their drink ticket (so hosts were charged for a drink ticket and the litres of wine that they had already paid for). Also the drink tickets were supposed to cover simple beer and wine and regular highballs, but Cathy was charging people more for regular highballs (once again- overcharging). She wasn't even letting people know what they could get with their drink ticket, just saying 'read the sign, you have to pay me more for the drink you want.' Not only did she try to get away doing this with guests, but also with the bridal party, and the bride and grooms immediate family. Don't host a function here if you have to deal Cathy. Also the food was not left out for long enough, every time you'd try to go up for dessert there was nothing left, and dinner was taken away before most people could go up for seconds.

We received the most excellent service by the dedicated staff of 5 Star Catering on the day of our wedding. Needless to say the food was outstanding. The portions were great and the quality was excellent. 5 Star Catering is a team of honest, hard working and ethical people. We would recommend them to anyone in need of quality food and service.
