Solid food and reasonable prices.
Superb historic location, however coffee could be better
Large bee inside the restaurant next to the window where we sat.
Fantastic service, food, and atmosphere! Would definitely go back
Beautiful Atmosphere and great Service. My wife and I each had a Bison Burger and and a regular hamburger, both were excellent. The Chocolate Mouse desert was also fantastic and nice and light. My understanding is that there is no desert menu and these rotate. The home baked Bread was also a really pleasent addition to the meal. The main entry way where the bar is had a nice warm fire going and the building is very well cared for and retains the old Railway Station charm. Trains going by are not disturbing and actually really very pleasent (you can feel them coming but the sound is not loud and will not interrupt your enjoyment).
Awful service! I ordered 2 entree and 1 appetizer but I couldn't get any food except 1 appetizer for 1 hour. They just told me the kitchen was busy. But, other guests who ordered later than us were served. I couldn't put up with their terrible service and unreasonable excuse, so I gave up my order and kicked the door open. It was just 30 minutes ago. Be careful! This restaurant is very famous in Lake Louise area. But I'm not sure their service is good enough to their fame.
Wonderful ambiance, good food.
Very nice restaurant. The food also is very good we tried the bison Hamburger and it was great.
We went twice during our trip to the Rockies. Excellent food and service from AJ and Jesse. The location is great with old photographs, furniture and ambiance from an old train station.
Great menu, good food, restaurant and museum all in one! Perfect for the train enthusiasts!
Excellent experience with all together - the food, history, service and scenery.
Historic train station with a great atmosphere and food. Had lunch here and the service was great. Apparently gets busy at supper so reservations are probably a good idea. Located right next to a trail head. Park, hike the tramline trail then come back to eat!
A historic building with kind service but underwhelming food that also happens to be overpriced. Caesar salad was watery, French onion soup was good, summer tagliatelle really needed more salt. The steak was unevenly cooked - some parts were rare, other parts medium. The sweet potato fries were excellent. The desserts were NOT on point. The peach cobbler was not restaurant worthy at all. I liked the chocolate s’mores cake but it wasn’t a hit with others in our group. So, I wouldn’t tell you to stay away from this place, but I would say that it is not a place for foodies. Food aside, I think the cost was a little excessive. We ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, 1 side, 3 non alcoholic beverages. With tip ~ $200.
Great service and excellent food. It is a more pricey night out but worth it!
Our server Nile was very helpful and informative. Our daughter is celiac and they have a few items that they can do. The food was great. Service was exceptional. Atmosphere was gorgeous. The company was the best! We will be back.
Loves the food and very helpful staff
Amazing staff, which isn’t necessarily easy in that area. Servers were truly incredible and we were a huge group of 25. Not overly impressed with food for the price, but a decent option considering prices in the area.
Great service and very allergy aware!
Poor response to customer. We did not even enter the door, got told they re-open at 5 for dinner. Did not even asked what we need or how can we help you?. Is that how you respond to customer? May be update info. online for better service or greet everyone with basic greeting. I guess people can learn that. ????????
Great Food at this cute, cozy historical train depot.
Excellent museum describing the railroad history of the west, and the challenges of completing the railroad in such a geographically challenging terrain.
Big bucks not great food. We also asked to sit by the fireplace but were told it was only for larger groups so we got stuck in a corner in the next room. Then, as we were leaving we noticed two people, same as us just two people, sitting at the table we asked for....no large group. Frustrating and not impressed, won't go back. Staff member was friendly.
Great place to hangout. We enjoyed a lot.
Dining right next to active train tracks
Food is good. Little slow and expensive. Good experience
Good food, fair prices, only downside is not always open
Amazing food and real nice customer service experience
Very satisfying veggie burger and super kind staff. Fun space, and real fire places!
Pretty bad food experience here, the wait staff were nice but the food was not great. We got the duck tacos to share and it was lukewarm and not seasoned very well; the really hype bison burger was extremely dry and the buns were also not great; the butternut squash soup was more of a congee.... instead of soup.... Overall lackluster experience in terms of food but I guess it’s a in an extremely touristy location so kind of understandable. Oh the bread to start was good.
Pricey
Food was really good, but too expensive..
Really beautiful place. They were really nice, we only had a reservation for two but four other friends came and they accommodated all of us. We had chicken in a wine sauce and it was delicious!
The best poitine
Had pulled pork Mac and cheese and it was amazing, very cozy and welcoming place. Highly recommend giving this hidden gem a chance. Pricing is pretty typical of a sit down restaurant, and has an expansive drink menu for any style or taste.
Food, amazing. Atmosphere amazing. Service, outstanding. One of our best date nights ever.
Dine in
Been to lake Louise many times and completely missed this place. It is an absolute gem, with an amazing environment, friendly staff, and even better food (very fresh and tasteful). We tried the bison burger and Hunter chicken after reading reviews and we were not disappointed! Also it was made even more special with the smell of the open fire and the crackling of the wood, and then to top it off, seeing the train roll on by.
Really nice service and environment. I love the food here especially the bison meat! If you come to Louise lake, you must have your dinner here!
A taste of railway history
This restaurant used to be an old railway station. The interior is quite old but quite well kept. Food is delicious. Service is great.
Made large group booking here multiple times during peak tourism seasons. Management and servers were always really pleasant to deal with and made the experience easy. Food itself was good, albeit a bit pricey. Considering the location, that's probably fair, but would be a tougher pill to swallow if it weren't on a company card haha. Overall, this is a good, scenic place to grab a bite and wind down after enjoying the chaos and mayhem of Lake Louise.
Service is very slow, but food is good
Very friendly staff and delicious food. The Flathead appetizer and Mac and cheese were our favorites
Gorgeous location in a quiet location (although it’s right along side the rail tracks, obviously). The building and patio are beautiful. Food was really good and the servers friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely a place we will stop into again.
I just discovered the restaurant sells frozen meat pies. We tried beef, curry beef, chicken and seafood. Amazing! Best meat pies ever. This will be a “must come home with” item from now on. Delicious!
BEST PLACE TO EAT IN TOWN! Located in Old train station. Classic wood decor. You can’t go wrong with any item off the menu. Very friendly and knowledgeable servers and bartenders. Very impressive. Recommend saving room for a starter, main and dessert. You can thank me later.
This restaurant is housed in the oldest building in the village, the old and still serving train station. Much of the interior seems original such as the wood flooring and ticket window. It serves as a museum of sorts for railroad related photos and memorabilia. Have a look.
Even food is not top class like the Fairview at Fairmont hotel. This is definitely one great experience restaurant. When the train comes by beside the window. There is no other place like this. I am shock this has been here since 1994 and I have never noticed last 20 years I live by.
Out of drinks
Cute restaurant if you like the feel of an old railway station. However the food was fair at best, edible but that’s it. Any restaurant that serve extremely old and stale buns with their burger, knowingly, should not be a place to try.
Delicious food and drinks in a rustic atmosphere.
The food and service were superb! Veal ribs and schnizel were delicious. Soups were great too. Very authentic atmosphere here and surrounding outside is beautiful with 2 old trains outside.
Wonderful service and food. Whole group of 12 enjoyed their meals.
Absolutely the best place to eat.
Great ambiance poor food. Suggest the owner get a cook who knows what he's doing. The pasta lemon chicken was uneatable, the duck tough and its roast potatoes not cooked enough. The onion soup was delicious, but my duck came before I'd finished my soup. The lemon chicken tasted like something thrown together from the local supermarket covered with cheese.
Make plans to spend as much time as possible in this area, and especially on this awesome railway !! The entire area is stunningly beautiful....
Great food. Great service. Great ambience.
Beautiful place like a museum. Restaurant as a fast food restaurant if we talk about the dishes themselves tasting.
Went for a day trip drive from Edmonton, came here just before dinner time and the place was empty, we weren't sure how it would be but we we're pleasantly pleased with the great service, unbelievable food and the atmosphere was second to none. I will definitely be back the next time I am coming through here.
Visited last week and had great service, great spot on the patio and tasty eats. With COVID restrictions in place, we found it rather nice and simple to enjoy a couple hours with nice weather on their latio. Go early as it does get busy. Make a reservation if possible. If you haven't been do note it IS the old train station so assume many trains will loudly pass by. We don't mind at all when we visit here. Thanks for a nice visit during our summer vacation ????
I really enjoy going to this place it is not only about the restaurant it is about all the history their restaurant have behind, when you go inside you go to other place it is just amazing how much history is inside, the service was great!! The food was regular, but I am really pleasefo this experience...
If you don't know anything about food and you're hungry and have lots of money, this is a good option. If you know how to make anything from a peanut butter sandwich to gourmet food, perhaps avoid this restaurant. The service was well done.
Historic bldg great food with reasonable prices given where it is
Had a fantastic lunch here. The atmosphere was delightful with a crackling fire. The was excellent. The poutine is some of the best I’ve had.
The Fry's are delicious . They do need to have sweet and sour sauce But they are a little bit slow
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good service!
Food is overpriced for the quality and selection. The restaurants attached to some of the larger nearby hotels are, at a minimum, equivalent, with some of them being much better. If you're in the area for a longer period of time, definitely worth visiting to break up the monotony of the other limited food options, but if you're here for just a short period of time, try to get a reservation at one of the large nearby hotels
Food was just good and service was fair, but priced too high when better food and service is within walking distance.
The unique aesthetic of this place is commendable. The mountains, train, the atmosphere inside the restaurant or on the patio, it’s incredible when exposed to all. Top it off with an outstanding taste of food and great service! I said I just wanted to try a bison burger, but got more than what I asked for. Don't forget to explore the trails near the restaurant. The view is excellent.
What an awsome experience! One of a kind.
Tasteless food which caused me a bad stomachache
a nice place. food is good, price is reasonable. Highly recommended.
Servers are great! Tipped great. Best yam fries ever! But the chicken burger is DRY. Anyways all good
The food was great, service was excellent and as a plus, the ambiance was nice with the fireplaces.
Service was a bit slow. Food is a bit expensive for the quantity. But it was tasting great tho and the ambience is nice.
Amazing food. Great atmosphere. The stew was brilliant.
Wonderful food. Wonderful service. You couldn't ask for more.
Half the restaurant and half the parking lot were empty, we were asked if we have reservation, we say no, the grumpy old man says that there's no table left. It was 745 and the restaurant closes at 830. I guess that he wanted to make sure to leave at 830...!
Stunningly gorgeous!
Excellent food and service and great atmosphere
Extremely slow service. Came here with family, little 7yo kid - literally waited for one hour to get food.
Excellent inexpensive menu no waiting spacious tables and grand fireplace with great service. Covid rules in place. Bike parking covered patio.
The beef stew and French onion soup were amazing!
???? Great restaurant. Staff was super nice, all of our food was really good and the wine recommendation was on point. If you spend the day at Lake Louise or Lake Moraine, I highly recommend stopping there to have dinner.
Nice little oasis in the bustle of Lake Louise. Not fast food, first time trying Bison burgers. Not a huge menu, beer and wine though. Interesting railway antique setting.
A neat place with excellent food
Had a great dinner but the dessert definitely took the meal.
Good food and friendly service! The location is worth a visit, like a museum.
Omg this place the history alone is worth the trip very nice people that let us look around the whole place. Some pretty great stories attached to it . Thank you kind staff.
Quiet spot next to the heavily trafficked Lake Louise trails. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Family friendly with large table options and high chair. The bison ribs were well cooked, sauce slightly on the sweeter end. Salmon was good but slightly smaller portion compared to other mains.
Good food. Very interesting to sit right next to the tracks and see the trains
Best bison burger I have ever had. Will go back some day.
Really good entrées at fairly affordable prices and friendly service! our favourite was French onion soup and Bison burger
Cozy little restraunt. They even a a fire going in the fire place. Good food. Good service. Very comfy place to stop for a bite to eat.
Staff was friendly service was quick bison ribs where awesome
Great atmosphere, laid back with 5 star service. Michael was amazing, warm, kind and encouraging to explore the restaurant itself. Food was fantastic. For dessert the strawberry rhubarb pie was fantastic.
Life-changing
Lovely dining room with fireplace. Good food in generous portion. A hidden gem in the area.
Beautiful place
Lol Station Restaurant closed. Found a park's outhouse with a zip-tie lock. Sorry we cut the lock and used the facility. Thank you Park. You were there in my time of need.
Loved the old feel of this place.
Amazing food! I highly recommend the chef's set course dinner. The restaurant itself is really cool they have a lot of antiques and the building is beautiful. It is easy to access and there is lots of parking!
Housesalad was exzellent as well as Bison Burger nice athmosphere and even long train coming along at about 7pm
Good selection on menu, prices are good, food was fantastic and service was super quick.
TLDR: Great water, overpriced, slow, bland everything else. This is mostly hype. The food is edible but not worth the money unless you are stranded and can't cook.
McLeod lake
This place is a restored railroad depot, with all sorts of old-time typewriters and other gadgets on display. The food was excellent and the ambiance was delightful.
Ahh one of the nice and unique places/restaurant I been to in a long time. This was old railway office that has been converted to restaurant some 25 years ago. Good part it still maintains that look and feeling of a railway office. And of course food is awesome too... Do try their veggie burger... Food may be little expensive but all good things come at little price.
Great food! Especially the strawberry rhubarb pie!
Incredible food
Good food and nice atmosphere, reasonable price
Expensive and average food at best. Cool building though
We just had our dinner here and loved all the experiences! The chicken sandwich was perfect and we kept wondering where they get their bread. Mac & cheese is no ordinary mac & cheese and my kid finished it all. We were able to see the train passing by and the kids got very excited. Highly recommend.
Unfortunate that this restaurant has demonstrated a decline in the quality of food, service and value for money. We have dined here on several occasions previously with friends and relatives that we especially brought here from out of town. Last night from being greeted by the somewhat stuffy Maître d' who marched us through to the "family room" near the kitchen, through to the end of the meal being presented with a rather steep mandatory service fee - there were the 4 of us - it's sad that what was once a hidden gem of a restaurant, now appears to have chosen to "milk the tourist". For family friendly dining with good food, good wine and service try Ticino Swiss- Italian restaurant in Banff.
Very nice place. Good food. Soft prices.
Food was good, service was a bit slow. Lunch took 2 hours.
very good reastaurant; high quality food and good beer. free parking outside
Awesome! Highly recommend this place. Food delicious, had the chicken supreme and the staff super friendly. Beautiful venue with lots of charm. A real old train station with trains still zooming past.
Food looked alright, smelled great, good location. Came in, was not seated or acknowledged for five minutes. Sat ourselves, waitresses and waiters actively and with intent ignored us. Sat for twenty minutes and then left.
Fantastic railway trip. A must on your bucket list.
Very memorable location as it’s an only train station. Good vibe, good food, a little on the pricier side but very reasonable.
Good service, delicious food, decent price.
Lovely place, excellent service and good food. The infrastructure is spectacular! Inside you feel like you are in a 1900s high level restaurant. Outside you have a beautiful view of the mountains, a beautiful garden and the train rail.
best mac and cheese ive ever had in my life! great atmosphere . love the trains!
Excellent food and service. It’s a cozy place and the train passes just in front. Lovely experience. The bison ribs were delicious! We also tried the strawberry and rhubarb pie which was delightful. Great choice!
Lovely location and fabulous service. Good food and different to the usual offerings in Lake Louise. Would definitely recommend and return.
We stayed at the Paradise Lodge&Bungalows at Lake Louise and this restaurant was recommended to us, so we had dinner here 4 nights during our week's stay. We loved the entrees, as I always had their fish, and my husband enjoyed the pasta/steak preparations. One can look out and see a train go by quite close to the windows...without it being a disruption. The staff are excellent and engaging to inquire about our daily adventures. We mainly made reservations, but on the 4th time we did not make them...and even though the restaurant was full..we were promptly seated at the Bar area and we had a fabulous meal and great waitress....Great food in Lake Louise!i
I'd like to start out by saying that we've been here before and it was lovely! That being said, I don't know what happened last night. I reserved a table three days in advance and for whatever reason, we got placed in the other side right by tables of kids running around and a baby crying. I have kids. I get it. So I'm not judging. But I also paid for a not-so-cheap hotel sitter so that we could have a quiet date night and I requested that we be placed in the empty dining room area and he said it was full. Hmmm... Anyway, we decided that it was a first world problem and moved on. I ordered the three course meal which included salad, lobster stuffed salmon and dessert. My husband ordered the pasta special which was a bison lasagna. I got my salad and we got our rolls. And then it was just one thing after another that was a bit annoying. We had a hair in our butter. The salad dressing was very watery. When our meal arrived, my lobster stuffed salmon had four specs of lobster. Yes, specs. But the whole thing was floating in butter. My husband's bison lasagna was obviously burned. He said it had chunks of tasteless ground bison and complemented MY cooking (he was looking for brownie points, lol). By that point, we just wanted to get out of there. When the waitress finally arrived to ask how our meals were, I told her the issue and that I'd dab it off but to please mention to the chef that having an entire plate floating in butter is too much butter. I know that message didn't get to the chef. She came to clean our table and asked if there's anything else she can bring or just the bill. By then, I gave up. Um, yes! You've forgotten the third course of my meal! We just paid and left, no dessert for me. $50 for a three course meal and ugh. We ended our time there early and went to the Outpost Lounge. Should have ate there. My hubby thinks he's witty and on our way home, he said that it was 'a bit of a train wreck at the station tonight'. (Eye roll, but accurate). I hope you improve things but we likely won't be back.
Very beautiful and original place to go. It was quite busy, so we had to wait a little before we got seated. The place is not so big.
An incredible landmark with delicious food and an incredible vibe- the history is authentically maintained . It’s a must visit in Lake Louise! Burgers are delicious here - Bison and Salmon both world class with amazing fries as well. The soup is a surprisingly tasty and fresh. Friendly fast service and cold beers. It’s a special place. Lovely hikes along the river across the road. Don’t miss out on your chance to visit this gem!
Roast half chicken is so good. Even the grilled veggies and salad are so good too.
Did anyone know that you can buy frozen take home pies made by the chef from the station at Lake Louise? I was sooo happy to discover this gem. They are awesome. So so delicious. My husband had the seafood pie and I the chicken one. Would 10/10 recommend buying these delicious meals!
Didn’t go here but I came to check it out. Food was too expensive, but the restaurant looked nice.
Called about 30 minutes before my arrival asking if there were any tables for one available. Hostess confirmed and said I could drop by really anytime and get a table. I was seated at a nice table next to the window overseeing the mountains and tracks. Trains do go by, including the Rocky Mountaineer. My burger and drink came out to $32, a bit high considering the burger and service, but nonetheless good food. One of the better places in Lake Louise.
This is hard to find but really worth the effort. The setting, service and menu selection are all superb. Tina was our waitress today 5 stars. Thanks for a great afternoon. Steve, Tracey, Kay and Keith.
Just a little ways from the lake sits this beautiful railway station that has a really great menu. I suggest the French onion soup! It's quiet because it's out of the way.
We came at about 6pm and it was empty, lucky us as we didn't have to wait. Half hour later it was crowded. Service was nice, steak was very tasty. Rhubarb pie is a must have :) This place has an old school atmosphere which actually feels authentic. Only wifi could have been better...
Beautiful location with nice mountain views. It is right by the train tracks. The food is wonderful for such a quaint place.
Very good food and service. Priced high buts it's Lake Louise...
Nice historic place to eat. Also very nice patio. Also TRAINS!!
Great little place for lunch
Something to explore - very nice staff!!!
Quaint, historic, but a sign on the crossroads going towards lake Louise will get more footfalls
This is a historic converted train station with excellent food & service, and trains still running just 15 ft away! Try the coconut shrimp!
Great atmosphere (old railway station)! The food was okay, but not amazing (something that can be said for a lot of places in Lake Louise)
Fantastic food, love the decor, excellent service
What a neat little place. Love the historic feeling of this restaurant. Food was amazing and staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Really good burger and stew!
Great service, perfectly-cooked food, large portions. The cocktails are great (I had a caesar). All the bison dishes are amazing.
Poutine was awesome. Great environment with a roaring fire inside on a snowy day.
Cozy environment. Delicious food. Excellent service. It was lovely dining here!
Great location, a lovely piece of history. The food was excellent, as was the service. The staff were very friendly.
Absolutely incredible food. Prices are high, but the portions are large. The original interior is still intact and is very nice. Service is fast and very friendly. Best dining experience I’ve had in town.
Went to this restaurant after a hike. Wonderful ambiance and service, but quality of the food was completely not up to par, especially for the steep pricing. The one small bottle of Stella Artois beer l purchased was 7 dollars. The complimentary bread rolls were incredibly hard and dry, and so were the buns of the burgers. The stuffed burger I ordered which was supposed to have blue cheese stuffing had no stuffing whatsoever, and the overall taste was mediocre: overcooked patties, bland seasoning... I would be way less picky about these things if the pricing wasn't so high! That one "stuffed" burger was $25.
If you're looking for a decent meal without the pretentiousness of needing a lakeside view (which is expensive and unnecessary if you've just seen Lake Louise)...this is the spot! It's also unique and has its own charm, which is pretty cool. I'd say it's a hidden gem!
Excellent setting, service and food.
They are closed
Party of three. Made a reservation and came in for dinner. Hostess refused service and got the manager to ask us to leave before we even got fully inside. We were just three people passing through and driving all day so maybe didn't look like a million bucks but perhaps if it was due to some kind of dress code (even though we were much nicer dressed and behaved than others we saw inside) they should be clear about that. Will not return.
The restaurant was transferred from a train station, it could be a wonderful to see train passing while you dinning. The restaurant is well managed and the staffs are friendly, However, the food is good, but not as good as expected. it is a …
Wonderful atmospher. Excellent food.
While the staff was friendly and attentive, the food was definitely below par. I had a bison burger which was below average. The fries were garbage. French onion soup was good. This place is also expensive, especially considering the lower quality.
We were turned down from Moraine Lake parkade (full) and had to stop here to rest for a while. Quite a surprising little place, for its quite beautiful and the food did not disappoint. Quaint place, creaky floors, great staff. Our tot had a great time in their garden. Don't forget to take pictures with the heritage red train.
My wife and I wanted to explore restaurants that are not connected to hotels while camping in Lake Louise, the Bison lasagna did not disappoint! We will be back each time we visit the Rockies.
Great views
Nice outdoor space, pleasant staff, family friendly in a historic location. Food tasted good. The appetisers and desserts offered something a little different, but a little disappointingly the mains stuck to the tried and true mountain staples.
Interesting historic building, well-maintained, next to a beautiful river. Good food, reasonably priced for Banff. Friendly service.
super friendly staff and the best food in lake louise
Great food. Great service!
we got the Paradise Bowl and Bison Burger with side caesar salad and it was amazing!!!!
Went for lunch and we sat on the patio. The atmosphere outside is so nice and the train passed while we were there. Ordere chicken burger with caesar salad and OMG the caesar salad is to die for I never tasted something like it, the ingredients are so fresh and the portionof the plate is very generous. would definitely recommend
Got the Bison burger. Delicious!
Was recently in to eat now that the band have been lifted and I felt extremely safe and welcome because of a server named Lori she was very helpful with her knowledge of the area and a sweet young lady the food was great and Lori gave us a great idea to get skates locally and go skating on Lake Louise we had so much fun thank you Lori for everything.
The best place in lake louise town
Not bad
I have been to many nice restaurants, but this one takes the cake for the most interesting and nice one. The staff were all lovely, the food was very tasty, although I feel that the selection is limited. Despite that, this place has been decorated fantastically and it really gives it a unique aura. The trains passing by made it all the better, making it feel as if you were in an actual antique train station! The staff were kind enough to celebrate a wedding anniversary and take pictures for us. 10/10
Friendly, attentive server. Delicious food-especially strawberry rubarb pie. Clean, interesting facility. Best dining experience in Lake Louise.
Amazing food
Great place for a relaxing meal. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious.
Our server was very kind and friendly, we enjoyed the view and food. Book a table in advance, also try their soups they really warmed up in our cold day.
Very good taste!!!
Amazing atmosphere and even better food. Full of cool photos and artifacts showcasing the history of the railroad around Lake Louise. Would recommend this spot to anyone and everyone.
This is the best kept secret that needs to be shared! Yummy food with beautiful presentation, and Mitch was a great server!
Surprisingly good food with a mountain casual vibe, charming location (old train station, remarkable photos on walls), within a glorious park; expectedly pricey of course. My wife and I had a very satisfying meal by ordering a spinach salad for her, and we shared portions of my 3-course menu. The latter began with hearty and tasty split pea soup, then lamb shank cooked to perfection with glazed vegetables. Dessert was house-made strawberry rhubarb pie. Coffee was excellent as well. Pleasant and experienced service (Lori) made things go smoothly and not at all rushed.
Food was awesome. Loved the atmosphere. Server kept forgetting stuff though. Would eat there again.
Beautiful place year round.
Food was absolutely amazing!!! Pleasantly surprised at the offerings and the quality of the food on the menu. Duck tacos, pork schnitzel, bison lasagna, white chocolate cheesecake, strawberry rhubarb pie and their version of the Moscow mule - everything was like I said earlier, just amazing. Service is great. Friendly and professional service. Front end staff, especially the lady was ok. She was quite rude to us at first since we had just come back from biking the tramline trail and were still in out biking gear. She told us reservations only even though the restaurant was quite empty and wasn't forthcoming in serving us. We were visiting from Calgary, however, staying at the Fairmont in Banff. There was a gentleman there that stepped in and made the experience positive.
We found this gem ???? after a long day of biking. We didn't have a reservation but being there at opening they were able to seat us with no issues whatsoever. This restuarant filled up very quickly so I suggested reservation. The building is old and rustic but yet elegant with outstanding windows that I am sure are the original or refurbished they are the backdrop to the bar . The bar is an old fashion one with ofcorse all modern-day equipment. The service was outstanding ????. The food is what you expect. Delicious!!! I highly recommend the steak and French onion ????. The place has a great history and is showcased in every part of the property. We are still talking how good it was.
Very cool restaurant. Nice atmosphere with real fires and historic decor. Friendly staff and tasty food. Kids loved when trains came through the station and they could see them from our table.
Amazing onion soup
Nice Place is to eat. Great historic railway to to takes photos.
Even though the train station wasn't open it was great to see!
Great meal in an evening more spectacular building. So cool having the trains come by in the original train station!
Great location. Fantastic garden view from the deck.
-1 for value for money. The venue is extremely well kept and the staff amazing, unfortunately it just falls short on the quality of food for the price. Don't get me wrong, the food was 7.5/10, where the prices are asking for a 9/10
Bison lasagna was great and reasonnably priced for the Lake Louise area, and the patio with the spectacular view on the moutains was perfect. Will definitely come back again !
This restaurant offers their famous Strawberry Rhubarb pie as a dessert. When making our reservations I mentioned to the Maitre D that one reason I selected the restaurant to order their famous desert, the Strawberry Rhubarb pie. After we were seated I asked our waitress about the pie. They were sold out of the pie 1 hour after opening for dinner. The Station Master Hunter Style Beef Tenderloin was tough. The Grilled BC Salmon was served at room temperature. The side of vegetables consisted of four sugar peas, two slices of carrots and a limp broccoli rabe.
We had a superb dinner at this slightly out of the way restaurant. The architecture is terrific, in an old repurposed train station, each chair like a throne. My husband and I had the table d'hote - a three course meal. We enjoyed salad, rack of baby lamb with roasted potatoes and a rosemary au jus, followed by strawberry-rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream. Service was terrific as were the drinks. We only wish we had found this gem earlier in our vacation!
Pretty awesome historic restaurant! Great food and service. Family friendly unlike some places in Banff.
Nice and every good food and good service as well and if lucky you will see a train or two go by.
Food tasted great and service on point! However for the price I expected bigger portions. Pic is their bison rib. Not where I'll go to if famished after a day of hiking.
We had great time there!! Food was amazing and the server was the nicest, gave us some advices where to go and what to do.
Found this quaint, cozy, classy place for dinner after a day of snowboarding. The best part was the raging, crackling fire place after a day out in the cold. Every entree was perfect. Try the roasted bison balls, the schnitzel and the homemade rhubarb pie ????
After a day sweating in the mountains, I crave a burger and the Station has the best burger in Lake Louise hands down. I don't understand how they make any money off the chowder because it's filled with seafood including giant prawns. The quality of the meals we had was first rate and value proposition (especially considering you're in Lake Louise) is tough to beat. Definitely my favourite place to eat in Lake Louise.
Great staff and service. We had the onion soup, schnitzel and bison burger and everything was incredible. The wine selection was great and prices were very fair. Highly recommended!
Racist restaurant. Said you needed a reservation when restaurant when restaurant was completely empty. Avoid at all costs!
Awesome dinner. We tried the 5 course chefs specialty of duck breast and the squash ravioli with bison meat balls. Delicious. Our waiter was professional and expertly suggested things to make our meal an experience. This restaurant is also kid friendly. And the decor ads to the uniqueness of this restaurant. Our only suggestion is the rhubarb pie was warmed, but ice cold in the center. It needed just a bit more time in the oven.
Great food, nice waiter, and a good price
Boarded the Rocky Mountaineer here. After seeing it, wished I had more time to spend.
Visited multiple times and always delicious. Had the daily lunch special most times. Fun to walk around the grounds as well.
Not sure why the negative reviews, great atmosphere, staff and food!
Fantastic place to eat. Top notch service and super friendly staff. I recommend this place to anyone staying or coming to the area.
Great food and nice ambiance
We came here for dinner after a long day. The host was very welcoming and polite. The server didn't seem to know the menu and had to check with the kitchen what station potatoes were. (Apparently they were out of potatoes so we couldn't try them.) The gluten free options were mainly salads (shared fryer) with no desserts as an option. Pork schnitzel- The seasoning was quite bland, it came with fries and roasted vegetables. Chicken fingers - The chicken fingers were very, very dry, however the fries were good. Salmon - The salmon wasn't too bad however the yam fries were definitely better than the salmon. Overall service was very polite and friendly. However, the food had a distinct cafeteria quality with higher end dining prices. It wasn't bad however I'm not sure I would return.
Food and service was very good! If you like trains they have lots of old pictures and some old trains to look at.
We ordered the soup of the day (roasted pepper), and French onion for starters. The veggies lasagna and the salmon were great. The sangria was very nice as well. The outdoor view was also really nice (Aug evening)
We didn't end up staying for dinner but the menu looked appealing. Making plans to go there for a bite to eat.
Excellent food and drink, service was exceptional, and wait times were good (moderately busy). It's located in a 1910 railway station (still used by the Rocky Mountaineer)
Great place for lunch. Great service
Lots of history in form of old pictures. Food was good.
Cool place. Neat decor. Food was pretty good, but a little pricey and service was lacking a bit.
The atmosphere was phenomenal and the service was great. The food was good but nothing special really with the exception of the strawberry rhubarb pie which was maybe the best thing I've ever put in my mouth.
Service
Waitress was very friendly and good. Food was good. Long wait time for food.
Gray place and wonderful service by Tina.
This place has a great patio and railway and mountain view, extraordinary piece of history + dining experience and did i mention their duck tacos? Well its a must try! After big meal, go for a little walk just right outside the restaurant. Superb! Great service too
Great food! Our family goes here every year for New Years
Food was amazing (quality, taste and size of portion). The bison ribs were excellent and the service was great. The train passing by the restaurant window makes every almost magical. I suggest make reservations before go.
If I could give them 6 stars I would! Best meal that I had during one week in Banff. Staff are so nice and the desserts… so goooood!
Great dinner, great location. Duck tacos and bison was very nice.
Firstly, I would like to commend the lady servers in the restaurant - they were all really nice and welcoming. The one who served us, especially (tall, blonde lady, wish I had gotten her name). She was incredibly friendly - knew my 2-year old is crazy about trains and she made a point to rush over to let us know that a train was passing by. Needless to say, she made my boy so happy and he took to her as his new best friend. I really appreciate service like that. Ambience is great, as the place is like a little train museum. Food was a good-sized portion and tasted pretty good, so overall it was a memorable experience for us.
Nice food, cool place. Everything on the kids menus is big. Fish is good. The noise of the trains going bye is kinda annoying but it’s all part of the experience. There are many wasps but that is not there fault. Waiters are friendly.
Great service and food. Highly recommended!
Well executed dishes in a casual atmosphere set in a beautiful repurposed train station.
Overrated. Pleasant visit.
Excellent!
Beautiful place with very nice food
This restaurant has a cool location and lots of parking. The menu also has good variety and large portion sizes but the quality of the food is not great. We ordered a hummus and bread appetizer and it was served straight from the fridge. The hummus is never served that cold. It was a cold day and we were looking for warm food. Most items they served seemed very cold even the water was super cold and we had to ask for room temperature water. In mains we ordered paradise bowl which had good ingredients but again was colder than it should be.
Fantastic meal here on the patio overlooking the gardens. The best meal I had in Lake Louise - the atmosphere was relaxed, the vibe of the restaurant was very cool, and the staff were super friendly. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Overpriced, a bit smelly in old building
Very good meal. Quiet setting on patio overlooking the garden. beautiful mountains for a backdrop
Very good food and service is also very good. The old railway station setting is also interesting to see
I enjoyed my visit. The food selection is excellent. The interior is stylish and adds to a wonderful experience.
Fantastic experience dining at the Lake Louise Railway Station. The food and service were great, and the staff too extra care to accommodate guests given the Covid19 restrictions. Be sure to reserve your table before going and stop by the adjacent river for some awesome pictures.
Beautiful historic building, friendly staff, and phenomenal food!
I had the salmon, which was quite good. Especially enjoyed the twice baked potatoes. My partner had the lasagna, which was nothing special but good.
Good food good service . Showed up unannounced and they said you need reservation but understood that we were leaving the next day and accommodate us an hour later ... prices a little more but of course it's expected in touristy town. Too bad the host wasn't a Canucks fan but sure loved the drinks. Will be back one day.
A wonderful gem in a gorgeous surrounding. The food and staff (Jesse) are beyond compare!
Excellent. Good food good service. Recommend.
Very nice place, but the meal was sub par for the price!!! A $45 steak should be mouth wateringly tender. The steak was kind tough/chewy, and lacking great flavour. Definitely would not recommend this place. Hugely disappointing for us!!
Having tried some grim places in Lake Louise, we found this place, good food at a the right price. So good we went there two nights running. It is worth booking.
The food was fantastic, and Jesse our server was even better. I'd give 6 stars if I could!
Grate staff, nice area, dessert is quite nice
Dining there was amazing. It was even better when the train came in. I would recommend this beautiful place to anyone on vacation. Customer service was excellent and the food was delicious.
I love this restaurant! The atmosphere of an old renovated CPR station with decor that references the history of the area is such a treat. The food and service is always high quality, though the wait can be a bit long when it's busy. It is however, the best ending to a long hike or ski trip in the area!
The staff was super friendly, and let us walk around to read all the picture memorable.
I came here for lunch and enjoyed the poutine with pulled pork along with a locally produced ginger beer. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The setting is stunning, and if you stay for a hour you'll most likely get to see a Canadian freight train rumble by.
Food was great! We had the Bison lasagna, burger, and portobello. All of them were delicious and the yam fries were amazing. We saw a couple trains pass by too.
I emailed to make a reservation but received no response. I called the day of and the lady who spoke to me on the phone said no reservations needed and please come by anytime. When we went in 30 min later, we were greeted by a curt male host who laughed at us when we asked to be seated, gesturing to an empty looking restaurant saying they were completely booked with reservations. We thought he was joking but he was serious and extremely unhelpful. When I told him of my phone conversation earlier, he said that he would have been the one answering the phone and would have told me reservations are compulsory. He didn't offer but I asked about making a reservation the next day and he said sure and flipped to an empty page in his book. I double checked my phone and I definitely called the right number. The host was extremely rude and I definitely would not go there again.
The ambiance and atmosphere were fantastic but the food portions were extremely low. Although the food was good the portions were very small unfortunately. Should’ve went to McDonald’s. LOL
Great place to eat. We sat right by an open Hearth fireplace.
Loved the ambiance. Picture perfect place. Loved the food. But the restaurant is pricey. Worth the money and time
The food here was awesome. The menu is very diverse, allowing you to eat whatever you truly feel like. The whole restaurant has the amazing feel of the railroad stop, from the squeaky floors to the old timey decorations. Antiques from actual railroad stops line the windows, making the whole experience 10x cooler. Would totally recommend!
This is a rare find. We had three dinners here during our 6-night stay in Lake Louise. The decor teleports you to the Canadian Pacific Railway heyday. The food is as fresh as you can dream of, and is deliciously cooked. Service is friendly and effective. The prices are so much lower than at the pretentious Fairmont. I recommend the Table d’Hôte option, with a daily soup or salad, a main course (often meat) and one of their outstanding deserts (hard to decide between the strawberry rhubarb pie, chocolate mousse and coffee crème brûlée). The meat was top cut, often cooked creatively, in large portion, for half of what you would pay in Calgary. The French Onion Soup is not to be missed! If you’re lucky enough to come on a day they offer their Tomahawk Pork Chops, you’ll feel blessed!
Enjoyed this restaurant beside the railway main line in Lake Louise. Food was excellent. Service was good. Great use of space highlighting the history of the building.
Nicely restored rail station. Good food and service
Great little spot for lunch! Good food and a nice atmosphere.
Great food. Great service. Not good if your on a tight budget though.
Food and service are average
Your team of chefs devalued the only thing I ever cared about in my life. Food. Be better. Actually, no. Stop cooking food. Humanity requires progression and should be allowed to move forward, and the only thing I feel holding us back in 2020, aside from the orange down south, is your cooking. Also, how do you screw up an Old Fashion? How do you screw up making bread? Just... how?
Amazing place, great environment, old station and retro style. Pork in apple sauce was extremely delicious and also the strawberry pie. Recommended but expensive , in my opinion, worth it.
Beautiful setting, great food, and excellent service.
This place was just ok. Decent food, good atmosphere, but nothing spectacular. Pretty expensive as well. Steak wasn't fantastic, the burgers were overcooked, chicken parm just ok. Server was good. Maybe we caught them on an off night?
A wonderful restaurant for meals and location, definitely recommended
Fantastic building and food. Walk from car park to wooden bridge to see the beautiful Bow River
Made a reservation the day before, I was told that reservations are not required, walk-ins are.welcome. Went in today, an old guy curly hair with slouched back says that reservation is required. The restaurant was half-full, and mentioned that they are fully booked w(30 minutes before closure). I said that we don't mind sitting at the bar, but said that it's for drinks only. I've never seen a restaurant who does not serve food at the bar. He was clearly trying to get rid of us, and made a rude comment at the end. He said: you should try and find a Chinese restaurant for dinner. So unprofessional! The other 1-star reviews were right. This guy is clearly racist. We ended up eating a restaurant near our hotel
Vintage restaurant with deliciuos food and nice area
Good food...needs a reno tho.
First off, the food was amazing. I had the bison burger and it was amazing. Secondly the location is great, the patio has mountain views and they have a beautiful garden on site as well. The flower baskets look amazing as well!
Really good food, service was excellent. It was a charming place to eat in an old railroad station.
It was closed in the winter but great to see covered in snow
Great food, best view! Highly recommended
Couldn’t dine in since it was closed due to weather conditions I guess but it was historic train station like on old movies
Great services
Tasty meals and nice setting. Didn't get to sit in old carriages.
Good food and good experience. Nice history photos of Lake Louise area
Great service and lovely atmosphere. Went back a second time for the wiener schnitzel, best ever. Don't think about it, just go.
They were not open on the day we went on March 11th. There was no sign or anything to tell us that it was closed.
Is a 10 for me. Great food, bar knows how to make your favorite drink, awesome Buffets certain nights, check it out you won't be disappointed.
A wonderful place to eat. The atmosphere is excellent. The staff is attentive.
Sweet waitress....hope she's still there!
Food nothing special way over priced
A wonderful restaurant inside a old train station
The first thing was the hostess. Super rude. But luckily both our waitress are very friendly. The food was ok. Nothing worth too much mention but the atmosphere was amazing. Antique style with a lot of real antique items from old times. The real fireplace and the sound really add great cozy feeling. Took out 2 stars for the rude hostess. She insisted us sitting at a corner when there's no reservation and no one in the restaurant. Really gave the customer bad start.
The service was good, the duck tacos were absolutely amazing, the portions were generous and the ambiance was really cool! I absolutely recommend this restaurant!
Dine in the orgional station or a classic rally car. This place is a classic and a must visit place to eat in Lake Louise
Best bread ever, the place is very cute...the mains were ok
Nice place to eat located in serene surrounding and at a real railway station. Fantastic food. Highly recommended
Nice restaurant, surprisingly not crowded in the old Lake Louise Railway Station. A rail fans paradise. CP freight passes though regularly with a possible view of the Rocky Mountaineer.
Hair in all pasta dishes. Server gave us 2 dollar discount and manager not available , who was just walking around. Very poor food.
Mac and cheese from Kids menu was delicious! White chocolate cheesecake and kids ice cream with chocolate sauce was also great! Service was excellent!
Great spot to grab a bite in Lake Louise. It was like stepping back in time. I ordered the beet and arguably salad. It was satisfy and very tasty. Great service.
Pleasant view, good staff, but head chef still need to learn how to make a good steak. At a rate of $48 per plate for AAA Alberta NY cut (not even a rib eye cut) I ended up with rare steak not a med rare as asked for. Steak wasn't properly cooked and then rested so I ended up with smth very mediocre. The bison burger was good, hence the 3 stars. Beet and goat cheese salad was mediocre as well.
A bit higher prices, but the quality delivers. Good service too. The clincher is the fantastic building. We sat in a room with antique typewriters and telegraph equipment and watched as a train rolled by.
I have never seen a restaurant so beautifully located! Oh my God! The aesthetics, ambience, surroundings were breathtaking. Restaurant is very classy and the patio gorgeous. The menu was limited but we were busy just feeling amazing sitting …
Wonderful refurbished station building with immense leaded windows. Wide choice of interesting dishes alongside standard staples. Service is friendly, helpful and efficient. Not cheap but they offer good value with generous portions and freshly made fayre. And the Canadian Pacific trains still pass within a few feet of the bar so train romantics will love it.
I've gone three times, as of September 28th 2018. I've enjoyed the service everytime I've gone, and the food is top notch.
Fantastic food and service in an off the track location. Highly recommend.
Great family restaurant, good service and food. Would definitely come back.
Good food, fun place for friends gathering.
The restaurant is nice and definititely has character to it, our server was nice too, but the food is really ovepriced for what it is. Duck tacos as an appetizer were tasty but the steak I had for main course was mediocre at best and, honestly, I'd expect much more for 50 bucks. Other meals we had were not bad but, again, one would expect a bit more at this price point. All and all, our visit wasn't too bad but I don't think we'll be coming back.
good place to go
Lovely place, excellent service and good food. The infrastructure is spectacular! Inside you feel like you are in a 1900s high level restaurant. Outside you have a beautiful view of the mountains, a beautiful garden and the train rail.
Came to Lake Louisie for a camping trip and found this hidden gem of a restaurant tucked away in the railway district after a crazy bike ride down the mountain. Great food, great service, and pride of ownership are displayed at all times. They have a small train museum here which is cool that showcase this buildings and areas +100 year history. The duck spring rolls are amazing you have to try them!
Loved the local history displayed through out the building and great fòod
Spectacular setting for delicious meals
Awesome old trainstation, food and service were excellent!
Excellent menu, friendly staff, great service, lovely ambience.
Recently dined at the Station Restaurant and was impressed with the hospitality and the menu options. After a long day of snow shoeing and travel, the Station was so welcoming with a well lit fire, festive decorations, accommodating and friendly staff, as well as a filling meal. I loved all the vegan options and highly recommend the lentil walnut loaf. We stayed at the Fairmont Lake Louise , but preferred our dinner at the Station to both restaurants we sampled at the Fairmont.
Best schnitzel in the world!
Excellent atmosphere. Fine wine list, try Red Willow. Wonderful fire
Great eats.
Absolutely great food. Service was ok
Food is overpriced and being served super slowly. Be prepared to waste 2 hours here waiting for your burger.
Great, friendly service and good food at a premium price. Nostalgic railway station atmosphere.
Great Canadian style food in a fascinating historic building Good service too.
I think this is one of the best restaurants in Lake Louise. The ambience and dining area, the service all the way through to leaving, and the food were excellent. We are in Lake Louise for 3 more nights, and we'll probably have dinner here the remainder of our stay.
Awesome food and really pleasant atmosphere! Very quiet for a nice Dinner.
Wonderful meal, service and atmosphere!! Would highly recommend!
It is a great place with history and great food
We found this restaurant listed on trip advisor and seemed to be the best option compared to other restaurants in town. When we arrived we were instantly greeted by a friendly waitress and we're seated in a room with a crackling fire. The atmosphere and history of the building is very cool and the food was very tasty.
Walked in and many empty tables. Maybe 6 diners there. Seats at bar but told I can’t eat at the bar and they are taking reservations only at 7 pm. They limit diners for their kitchen. It was 6 pm. Do better. Beyond ridiculous. Solo diner. Empty place. Don’t even bother.
Went for dinner and had French onion soup, duck tacos, bison lasagna, and bison ribs. Everything tasted amazing and was very nicely presented. Wood floors and trim create a rustic look. There are many historical photos on the walls and two trains passed by during our stay, which was very entertaining. The restaurant is only about 6meters from the tracks. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend eating here!
We arrived 2045 at the restaurant, two of us driving from Vancouver. The manager at the door was rude saying "We are anbout to close,..er... not sure..". He made a fuss and made an apparent irrelevant phone call in front of us. I said "We will be quick". Then he said" Okay, here you go." His attitude was not only unwelcoming but very rude. As if doing us a favour. We entered the restaurant and found a lot of tables were still waiting for their food. I began to doubt the manager was a racist as we are Chinese. It was an unpleasant experience. My suggestion is that the manager could just say "we are closed sorry." We would have left. He did not have to take it as a favour to us. It is not a cheap restaurant.
Absolutely wonderful place. Tasty food. Black bean chowder the best. Sweet potato was fine. Authentic atmosphere.
Very cool! It's a bit loud because of the trains going by but still a nice place to stop for lunch.
Amazing food and service. Bison Lasagna was top notch and French Onion soup was best I have ever had. They even allowed us to move up our reservation an hour on no notice.
A little $$$, But food was great, service also was great.
Nice experience
Great ambiance and cool old building. I had soup and Caesar and both were awful. Fountain drinks tasted off. Yam Fries and chic sandwich were ok. Great place to have a beer or cocktail. Steer clear of the food as it is not cheap or good.
We really enjoyed our meal here. I think we got a table without reservations at about 6pm. The food was very good as was the pie dessert. Clean, nice, courteous and not overcrowded. Prices were reasonable for the area.
Quaint place for lunch or an evening meal. Had an old world charm and the food was good and reasonable priced.
Great food, great environment! Truly worth the visit!
Wow me and husband love this restaurant. The attention and food are amazing plus the atmosphere is really warm.
Absolutely top notch????. Service was brilliant, the setting and history is superb, but the food is awesome. Bison ribs was the best meal hubby has ever had, ever! Recommend without hesitation, but book ahead. If you are lucky trains go right by as you drink at the bar????????
Great food and ambience!
I went there for my birthday and didn't get disappointed. The fireplace and the wooden walls & floor give a very cosy environment. The service was professional and friendly and the food great. Certainly not the cheapest restaurant around but a great place to treat yourself with a special lunch/dinner.
The best kept secret in Lake Louise. Best meal I have had traveling accross Canada. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know passing through this area ! Rolls were great, French onion soup and broth were so darn fine, The pork schnitzel was incredible and the walnut loaf was so scrumptious. Lastly the smores cherry dessert was sweet with an amazing bitter finish with the cacao nibs on top!!! 5 star meal. 3 star price 5 star view and service. It was a date with "Destiny".. lol our servers name ;)
Excellent menu and good service and the price is ok.
Wear your fancy pants, this place is great!
Stellar food. App, main, and dessert were absurdly good.
A little pricey but the bison ribs were definitely worth it,”. Try the Saskatoon berry relish with the ribs!
Excellent menu, service, and atmosphere. Definitely make a reservation in advance!
Great selection of food, good value, check opening times as not always open every evening.great surroundings and ambeince.
Had a great experience! The employees went above and beyond! The food was delicious, well priced, and I enjoyed the drink menu. I will visit again!
Absolutely fantastic. Great, comfortable atmosphere, amazing service, and incredible food. I definitely recommend coming here after a good day skiing or traveling. The food is just the right amount, nice and hot as well as fresh. I would definitely recommend trying the station mac and cheese with braised duck, or if they have a lamb special, that's as well is very delicious. I'm definitely coming here again next time I'm in lake louise.
Was a little cold and server brought me a blanket! Ordered a beef stew and it was exceptional!
Great experience. Really good food!
Great food and nice view
Beautiful decor with a large three-hearth fireplace with a hearth facing into each dining area. A separate bar seating area, for drinks only. Reasonable prices; lunch entrés from $20 to $26, dinner entrés from $30 to $46. Lots of choices for appetizers and salads as well. The grounds are a heritage monument. There is an easy hiking trail at the end of the parking lot that you can join for a beautiful walk along the Bow River before or after your meal. A real gem in your visit to Lake Louise!
great food and service
Great patio beside the train tracks. Duck poutine was amazing. Service was great!
Had a late lunch (arrived a little before 3 pm) of beef stew for me and bison burger for the wife. Setting was beautiful, food was creative and tasted good. Prices were about as expected in a tourist town in summer peak season. Service, however, was extremely slow - especially considering how few people were there - and the food had clearly been sitting a few minutes before coming to the table. A side order of fried mushrooms was also ridiculously small, barely enough for a garnish, let alone a side order costing a few dollars. Slow service and embarrassing mushrooms cost a star.
Wonderful place to eat near Lake Louise. Always very quiet and the atmosphere and decor is excellent! The food is always delicious, the french onion soup is a personal favourite, but no complaints at all about food. The staff are friendly and will always make sure you have everything you need! One of our favourite restaurants in the area.
Cool place for photos. (P.s. don't feed gophers Doritos)
Staff are nice, but the menu is deceiving. Overpriced, not a lot of options. Entrees are all over $20 and appetizers are 15+. You can’t get the Mac and cheese or stews as they are frozen and just for sale, not consumption onsite.
Great food, try the poutine.
Loved the food and passing trains.
Great food!
