I am changing my review to reflect the store's follow-up to my complaints. Half of my order was not received, and when I first called about it I spoke to a very unsympathetic owner. However, she called me back after checking on the status of the undelivered items and was much nicer and promised to have the missing items delivered promptly. However, I'm still only giving it 3 stars because every single time I've placed an online order, there have been items missing. I think the fault is often with the delivery people who overlook a bag in their truck, so I would caution you to look carefully at what you receive and make sure you get what you ordered. Also, even though they say they will call you to give you a delivery time, they don't - they just arrive whenever.

Absolutely ???? love to shop there even though it was my first time. I must mention that it has just recently opened. Maybe a year. That is the right location for it. It will serve the community of Lachine will. Now they have three choices among three major supermarket chain. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. I bought plants from there for home and garden. I will surely go back again.

Hey seniors this place has great meats and the fresh food is very nice reasonably priced and considering that you can order one day and have a delivery for $ 5.00 the next day! Don’t forget about a nice tip at this point. The delivery works very hard. Just like you used to? Almost forgot the have a scooter and when I get there it’s always charged. False advertising in store and online about free product on Friday. Store refused to honor the free product coupon. Store employees were nice otherwise. To the owner if you're advertising products and don't have the exact ones but have similar on the shelf they should be given out. That's the advertisement that brought me in the store. I ended up making a purchase for other items but I was annoyed about not getting the free item I came in for even if it was only worth a couple of dollars.

I like this store because it's clean, has nice produce, and I can plug in my electric car for free in the parking lot. The only downside is that they are usually out of the milk I like. The oat milk shelf (Earth's Own) is normally empty, so I have to go to a different grocery store for that.

Update July 18: I got a fast follow-up from the branch Manager and they apologized for what happened and promised to train their staff to solve these problems in a more intelligent way. I am updating my rating to 3 stars for the fast response. ========== Had a bad experience at Metro Lachine today. Last night I bought some ground meat and this morning my wife was going to cook it for our 10 month baby daughter and we noticed that the meat didn't look good, like rotten from the inside. I decided to go change/refund it, but I could not find the receipt. I went anyway and the lady in the small box behind the cashiers even knowing about the problem didn't provide any options (remember I bought a potential dangerous food at your branch). I understand that not having the receipt could be a problem but we are in 2020! and other companies like Maxi or even the deppaneur often help right away (no problem for not having the receipt, they just help if they know the product is theirs), also the meat had its barcode and all info METRO is a big company with good erp system I am sure that a 5 minute search would have help locate the sale from last night. It was surreal, the only answer I got was this is not Maxi, no receipt = no help. And when trying to talk to a manager, the answer was, they are not here today. I was offered a piece of used paper to file a complaint with my contact details (what a joke, obviously they don't know about the power or social media and word of mouth!) I will start to spread the word about the bad meat they sell and the bad service they provide, this is unacceptable.

Many people in the 1,2,3,4.. etc avenues don't have any food source so it's like why open where there are two other places? Also, some of the cashiers are slow and can't speak english. It was disappointing to see how a homeless person caught stealing food was treated here. They were chased by 4-5 staff members screaming and finally caught the person and dragged them on the ground to the side and presumably called the police. The person was easily identifiable and they should have just called the cops instead of dehumanizing them in front of the store. I've also witnessed people being treated with so much attitude, and followed around in the store by employee's. On a side note: Food from the butcher always comes very dry, especially their sausages. And don't forget your mask, they won't make you feel welcomed back. Edit: this was prior to obligatory mask wearing

They constantly stock rotten fish (if it smells like fish, it's rotten. Fresh fish smells like the ocean). They seem to be missing many common items and I find I have to go to IGA or maxi for basic things. As a new location, you would think the staff would be better trained to maintain a nice image, but there are no cares given by the staff here. They are terrible with FIFO, selling expired items in the hopes that customers won't check the best-by date. Overall, a horrible place to shop, don't waste your time just because it's shiny and new. There is need for all improvements!

Donc au lieu de payer le prix de 22.02$ cela m’est revenu à 25.27$. Je ne tiens pas la propriétaire comme responsable mais plutôt Le gérant de la boucherie, c’est mon champion du jour.

Great store, great selection, clean and staff very helpful except check out area. On a Saturday morning with a lot of customers with only one cashier that was not very helpful and a supervisor that really took her time before opening a second cash, the line up became very long. No help packing. They seem to want to encourage the self checkout area but not everyone wants to do their own checkout (judging by the length of the line up). The place is pricey and one would expect for the money we are spending the checkout service would be a lot better. 1 cashier on a Saturday morning!

Raison de plus pour retourner au Metro Plus. En plus il est plus proche de chez moi. Seul petit bémol: j'ai vu des 2 litres de lait qui avait une date de péremption du 28 Octobre 2021 et ma première visite était le Lundi 1er Novembre 2021. Ma santé fait en sorte que je peux pas boire du lait périmé. Autre petit bémol: y avait un grand manque d'employés(es). J'ai pensé aller au Métro Plus Lachine quelques jours avant ma visite pour leur dire que j'irais faire mon épicerie tel jour pour qu'il y ait au moins un employé(e) pour emballer mes achats. Mais les deux petits bémols m'empêchera pas de retourner au Metro Plus. Je suis tellement content de larguer le IGA Vallée. En plus j'ai réalisé qu'en allant au Metro Plus Lachine j'ai sauvé environ 33% que si j'aurais été au IGA Vallée et que j'aurais acheté les mêmes items. C'est des économies intéressantes pour le portefeuille. Un gros gros merci aux employés(es) du Metro Plus Lachine. Excellent service hors pair de la part du livreur. Meilleur que le service reçu depuis des années du livreur du IGA Vallée. Je suis content que le Métro Lachine soit ouvert. Je suis à mobilité réduite donc le Métro est une excellente alternative au IGA Vallée. Au moins les employés(es) du Métro Plus Lachine contes pas leurs histoires personnelles devant les clients et parlent pas en mal d'un client devant d'autres clients comme font les caissières du IGA Vallée. J'ai vraiment hâte à ma prochaine visite au Métro Plus Lachine pour découvrir les spéciaux et les offres spéciales en magasin. Le service reçu lors de ma toute première visite chez Metro Plus Lachine était vraiment digne d'une excellente épicerie. Mis à part le flagrant manque d'employés(es). Ce que j'aime le plus chez Metro Plus Lachine ce sont les gros formats de certains items qui sont inexistants chez IGA Vallée. En temps de pandémie les gens magasine selon les prix affichés par soucis budgétaires. Ce qui veut dire que Métro Plus Lachine et Maxi Remembrance sont les magasins à visiter. Veuillez vérifier vos bouteilles d'eau 18.9litres. Je sais pas si ça été fait intentionnellement. Si oui c'est une façon mesquine de souhaiter la bienvenue à un nouveau client qui en était à sa première visite au Métro Plus Lachine. 16/12: J'ai l'intention d'aller au Metro Plus Lachine uniquement selon les prix affichés. En temps de pandémie Covid 19 et surtout à cause de la hausse du prix de la bouffe m'oblige à encercler les items lorsqu'ils sont en spécial.17/1/22: Je vais essayer d'encourager les 3 épiceries à proximité de chez moi soit IGA Vallée/ Maxi Lachine et en revenant de ces deux épiceries je ferais un arrêt au Metro Plus Lachine avec l'intention de faire livrer mes commissions. J'ai l'intention d'encourager les 3 épiceries à proximité de chez moi dans la semaine du 24 Janvier 2022 et terminer mes commissions dans la première semaine de Février 2022. Je vais procéder procéder selon les prix affichés. J'ai remarqué que les prix des denrées ont explosé. Payer full price est pas une façon logique de procéder surtout en temps de pandémie Covid 19.
